I had my first prenatal and OB appointment today and completely clammed up! DH came through and asked tons of great questions. Now that I'm home, I can think of several, like the oh so popular--Is it normal for symptoms to come and go? Or --Now that we've seen the heartbeat, what are the chances of miscarriage?
I'll be keeping a list of my questions from now on so this baby brain doesn't forget. As a FTM, I'm not even sure I know what to ask! What are some questions you want to know the answer to in your first few appointments/scans?
Re: Questions for your first appointments
2. Depends on who you ask...you'll see anywhere from 2-10% but it relies on a lot of factors (this has actually been discussed multiple times here in reference to the week-by-week chart floating around).
My only real question is about returning to normal duty at work with the SCH and the risks involved. Otherwise I'm sure I'll have lots more questions as time goes on and we get closer to delivery.
I am planning on giving birth somewhere different -- I was in the hospital with DD and DS. This time I'm planning on a free-standing birth center. When I toured the birth center I asked a lot of questions about their emergency procedures to help address my fears of out-of-hospital birth.
