Trying to Get Pregnant

What Prenatal Do You Take While TTC

Forgive me if this has been asked recently. I did a quick search to about 5 pages back and didnt see anything.

I take NatureMade single soft capsule Multi+DHA . I used to take Targets 2 pill Multi and DHA, but I found NatureMade was often on sale at Target, and coupons seem readily available.

What do you take while TTC. This is more of a curiosity post.

  • I take VitaPearl. It is a prescription prenatal that contains a ton including all the folic acid, iron, and DHA I need. One gel cap and no stomach issues. Plus free samples always help.

  • I suggest you use the search bar and look up "Prenatal Vitamins" there are a TON of old threads on this topic.

One new suggestion I have though is to check out this website I found!  Scientists tested and graded a bunch of prenatals:  https://labdoor.com/rankings/prenatal-vitamins
  • I take Select OB + DHA, they are prescription and work great for me because of my celiac disease.

@antoto Ok, will do. Like previousely mentioned, I wasnt looking for a new one, or looking to see what is out there. I was more curious as to what is most common among the ladies here.

I also take the NatureMade Prenatal Multi + DHA. I got mine at Costco. I think it was $24.99 for 150 capsules.

  • I took the advice of some ladies on this board and started taking Vitafusion Prenatal gummies. So yummy!

I don't know if this is a common problem but the search bar never works for me!  Just throwing that out there.

Also, to the OP - if you compare ingredients many of them are exactly the same ; )

  • @kiwielopingbride  Yeah, I can never get the search bar to search only this board and I always get searches from all boards even though I have this one selected. It makes it much harder to find previous posts from here. For example, I just tried searching for a thread like this one (I know we had one a few months ago) but there are way too many to sift through.
  • @kiwielopingbride  oh I know. Although, my Target one was calorie free and the Naturemade is 10 cals (due to fish oil). Naturemade was also higher in some vitamins, and Target had a few that were higher. But yes, basically the same.

  • I take the rainbow light petite mini and the DHA. I like them minus the fact that I have to take three of them because they're smaller pills. They don't make me sick or anything. I was taking the one a day and they made me super sick to my stomach no matter when I took them (with or without food, morning/evening, etc.)

  • I take the Rainbow Light Prenatal One. It's the only prenatal (or multivitamin in general) that I've found that doesn't flare my Interstitial Cystitis. It does have vitamin D2 instead of D3 to make it vegan so I try to include a separate d3 supplement when I can. I also take fish oil with it for the DHA.

Oh I see!  Sorry, so used to seeing the same posts over and over and over I definitely didn't read close enough - my bad!

After checking out the link I just sent you I switched to Garden of Life's Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal.  Most prenatals are totally fine, but I figured If I have a few extra bucks I might as well get one of the top rated ones.  Sometimes it's hard for me to remember to take it 3 times a day, but I hear your body absorbs the vitamins better that way.
  • @canonmom413  i was taking other pill vitamins and they upset my stomach.  the gummies taste like typical gummy candy.  there's a slight aftertaste, but nothing that a glass of water can't take care of.

@thj101  in addtion to prenatals, i take vitamin D.  like most of people nowadays, i'm vitamin D deficient.
