Has anyone done the Mom chop yet? I couldn't take the hair loss anymore so I cut it all off! Any other Mommy makeovers?

I think it looks cute! I already have pretty short hair and so far haven't had pp hair loss. I'm waiting for the day though because my hair is still pretty thick. Here's hoping prenatals continue helping. I did get a trim a few weeks ago:

I've been thinking of doing this for a while now. But I've been growing my hair for 2 years now and it's so long but what's the point if it's always in a messy bun

@andreaAL11 I used to have really long hair, but I lived in Wyoming where it was really windy and one day went and chopped off 11 inches. I haven't grown it past my shoulders since. Short hair is fun and easy!

I chopped my hair when I found out I was pregnant..never again. I look like a 5 year old with short hair. Plus I have extremely curly hair. You ladies look lovely!!

@andreaAL11 I cut mine after DS. It was really long and I got tired of braids all the time to keep it out of the way and to keep DS from pulling it. It's definitely easier and I've kept it fairly short since but I have yet to stop missing my long hair.

I bought a Groupon for me and my husband to get haircuts at the school of beauty yesterday. They did a good job just not what I wanted ( I have pretty long hair right now and I wanted long layers and wanted it to my shoulders). I think she might have cut 2 inches off my hair but it took her an hour and a half so I wanted to get out of there and go eat!

Oh well! Looks better than it did and I'll get it cut off later!

You guys look cute with short hair! I can't pull it off with my chubby round face.

I have had short hair for years, but moved to a longer pixie when I was pregnant, (because of my very fat face haha). Now I can't seem to get my hairdresser to make it short enough again, and I don't have time to spend 10 minutes with the blow dryer in the morning. I am not leaving her chair on Saturday until she cuts it all off!

I am planning to get a chop, but not that short. Probably shoulder length. It is more than halfway down my back now so that will be a decent amount!

You all look great with short hair! I do not. It's hard to tell, but I cut off about 8inches. I just don't care about looking cute anymore. Lucky if my hair is washed & dried, much less styled. I get barfed on multiple times per day. It's all about convenience now.

DH prefers my hair long too... But really, what's he going to do? Haha! I usually try to convince him he's going to like it, it grows fast, I'll keep the front long... This time I'm like, I'm cutting it really short... Deal with it! He saw how much hair I was losing and didn't put up a fight this time. Next trim I'm probably going to go a bit shorter too. All about the short hair now!

I chopped all mine off in my late teens. It was down to my butt and so thick and heavy, it's been shoulder length since I was 19. Don't miss it and would definitely never grow it back out. I couldn't even imagine having that mop on my head and taking care of a child. No thank you.

I have really long hair right now and I hate it, not just because of the hair loss, but it's really hard to do and look nice. All of you ladies look so nice with the new haircuts! I am supposed to go today, but I'm torn between something shorter and funky, or just a trim. My DH wants me to keep it long, but it's sort of pointless. It's just up in a clip or a bun most days

Stupid husbands and their preferences for long hair. I told DH I would grow my hair back about 8 years ago. I have yet to do that. My hair looks better short. And I'm lazy. Short hair takes me about 2.5 seconds to do.

So my hair is.. mid back. I'm planning to grow it as long as I can manage.

I wanted to cut it to my chin for awhile. But then i realized that at that length, i can't tie it back. Right now, my hair can be tied back. Does it have a bit of vomit on the sides? Yes. Does it somehow have streaks of fish chowder in it? Of course it does.

But it's back. If i get a bob, my hair is a sitting duck. My 4 month old is a sadist.

Funny! My husband prefers short hair. On me. On anybody. He keeps telling me to get a pixie cut. I had one in 2013 and he really liked it.

Of course, we are likely separating and even if we were madly in love, my hair is MY domain. And I'll do what i want with it. Doesn't help that the cutie pie at work, the really nice one who brought me my favourite fruit all throughout my pregnancy, likes my hair just as it is..

SO like shorter hair on me as well. Which is good because it will never be long again. Lol

You ladies look amazing! I almost cut it when I was pregnant but I feel like I won't look good with short hair so mommy bun it is. My hubby loves short hair tho so he wouldn't oppose to it if I ever did.

My DH has learned to say, "I think you'll look great no matter what you do." I know he misses the long hair, although he probably misses the 22-23 year old with it (haha!), but he also knows I'll consider his opinion but do whatever the f I want.

I just hate to see women not do something they want bc their husbands wouldn't like the way it looks or like long hair. Tell those guys to wash it and dry it for you and feel the pain when tiny hands get a grip on it!!

I can't use the whole "it's a pain to wash and dry, you wouldn't understand" excuse because he would. Back in high school he was a metal head and had hair down his back... So he gets it, haha! You'd think he'd have a little more compassion about going short then, but he doesn't. Oh well, he's stuck with my short hair now
