I've been sobbing on and off at my desk all morning. I work with all men and they're avoiding me like the plague lol.
So your symptoms haven't COMPLETELY disappeared. I don't mean to dismiss what you're feeling as pregnant lady hormones -- those fears are real and they are legitimate. But weepiness is definitely a symptom and my midwife told me when I teared up in front of her that it was a good sign.

Oh wow, I didn't even consider that. I'll let that be my little nugget of hope for the day

Speaking of getting teary eyed.... On Sunday we were driving past homeless avenue (Downtown San Diego has a ton of homeless people) and I saw two half-dressed toddlers barefoot being reprimanded by an adult male (their dad?). I was so upset, called 911 and explained through tears what I saw. When the dispatcher asked "are you implying ma'm that these toddlers are being neglected?" I surprised myself by sobbing quite loudly and telling the dispatcher: "OF COURSE they're being neglected! They're walking barefoot in a needle-infested-crack alley!!!"

Ermergerd me too! I'm 12 weeks and just horked for the first time, violently. I was like scream vomiting. It was so metal. My husband looked a little terrified. Of course I had just posted in this thread how I thought I was our of the woods for first tri symptoms...

Not sure if this is disturbing but, I've now been craving a hot fudge sundae since you said this...because I just want treats and, if I'm going to risk throwing up anytime I eat, it might as well be something that's good both ways! Win win
I've never had bad morning sickness, just mild nausea whenever I was hungry. Which was a lot more often than usual! Recently I've noticed that I don't get nauseous very much anymore, but I do get SUPER HANGRY when I let myself get just a little bit hungry.
Also, at 11+3 I do think I have a legit little bump started (FTM here, but I'm very petite). However, throughout the day as I bloat that little bump expands like crazy! It's nearly impossible to hide by the end of the day. Btw, I've been using the hair tie button hook trick until my maternity pants arrive, and it is genius!!!
8w4d and put me down for dark brown spotting. I am totally freaking out! I spotted for a couple weeks with DD and it was horribly stressful, I don't want to go through that or worse again. Calling my dr as soon as the office opens to see what they think
@CopperBoom86 Weeks 9 and 10 were pretty symptomless for me. My nausea was gone and I was eating more. But as I got closer to week 11 the food aversions kicked back in and now I'm breaking out everywhere. So you might feel crappy soon. Lol. Try to enjoy the good days. But if you're really nervous, just call. I'm sure doctors are used to anxious mamas.
@Blonde1817I'm right there with ya. In the morning I just look 'thick' I guess...like I've gained some weight in the midsection. But by the end of the day I'm rocking a full-blown 5 month baby belly. So awkward. I've bought some cute maternity clothes, but I don't want to wear them yet bc they make me look more pregnant than I should at this point. I don't want people to ask how much time I have left only to find out I'm barely pregnant, lol.
11 weeks +3 *TMI Alert* Heavy mucous in the undies throughout the day. Not like infection thick/smelly anything but just copious quantities of clearish-pinkish mucous. And a different, strong smell. Once again, not BAD or anything indicative of an infection, just strong and different... I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.
Pretty sure I have a UTI now, so will be calling the dr in the morning. Which I'm like 98% sure is because I haven't been drinking enough water since it makes my nausea worse. Ugh. I also have had a small rash on my hand that seems to almost disappear and then flares up when I wash my hands with warm water. But now I noticed a rash on my back as well when I got out of the shower, which luckily went away after about an hour, but clearly my skin is freaking out and doesn't like water right now ha I've never been prone to rashes before so I assume it's another lovely pregnancy side effect Hopefully the dr will be able to get me in for antibiotics and a recommendation for this rashy thing tomorrow.
I'm normally a big water drinker but I cannot seem to stomach it. Any time I sip water, shortly after I'm either throwing up or wishing I could. So now I feel super dehydrated and my skin is dry and it sucks. Anyone have any tips for making water more tolerable? I've tried cold, room temp, tea, seltzer. Seltzer is the easiest to get down, but then the carbonation causes reflux which makes me gag and then puke lol Can't win!

Have you tried infusing your water with lemon/orange, ginger, or cucumber? Just peel and/or chop up some of whatever you want to infuse the water with, stick it in a pitcher with water for 2-4 hours, and then drink. Sometimes I find a bit of flavor helps make water more appealing to me.

I called the nurses line and they told me to monitor it and call back if any other symptoms show up. I never noticed any and kind of forgot about it. I asked my mom about it and she says she often has that and isn't pregnant so I didn't think much about it after that.

I haven't tried that at all actually! I'm actually kicking myself for not thinking of this sooner. Thanks for the suggestion, definitely trying this tonight.
hi everyone! for the past 2 days I have been symptom free and it is freaking me out! For the last several weeks I had been extremely tired, moody, very bloated in the afternoons, and nauseated.. Now I know I shouldn't complain but it is freaking me out a bit.
10 weeks and I've been feeling much, much better. I'm SO very thankful because my DH is out of town for work this week and I was scared to take care of our son while being so sick.
Of course the lack of nausea has me a) paranoid something has happened to the baby and b) paranoid of the nausea returning now that I remember how good it feels to not have it. UGH First tri is such a mind f@ck!!!
@cd92007 Isn't it funny how you forget what it feels like to feel good after being miserable for so long! I don't even enjoy the good days cause I'm like "This isn't right. I feel strange." Lol.
@krzyriver yes it's SO weird! It was bizarre making my son's breakfast and lunch this morning without gagging. With that being said, I really don't want it to come back!!
For those having trouble keeping water down, the best thing ever for me is asking my husband to go to the gas station and getting those giant foam cups for slurpees and filling it with crushed ice. And then I just munch on ice all day. My dentist would be horrified, but it doesn't upset my stomach and I feel a bit more hydrated
Halfway through week 9 and the queasiness is about to graduate to nausea. Keeping my FX that this is the peak of this mess. I don't know how you ladies who have been puking for weeks have done it. I haven't even puked yet but I feel it building.

Same here @MRSCORKER I think we are on the exact same day (9W3D) and I have yet to puke, but the queasiness is gradually increasing. Last night was the first time I actually thought I might. And yes, I have no idea how you guys that have had this the whole time are handling it - much sympathy to you!!
Anyone dealt with anemia during a previous pregnancy or currently? I go in for my apt tomorrow. I have been feeling so bad. I was trying to tough it out, blamed it on getting off meds, called Dr once already. Last night I was sitting at the table painting rocks with the kids (random s#$!) And nearly passed out. I called the nurse line and was told to drink more water and if i actually pass out call 911. My dizziness has been so bad and it doesn't matter what I do, sit/stand/walk. My thirst is unquenchable. I have already had 160ml today. I'm not a water drinker typically, my family calls me a camel. Could i have GD?! I have been crying so much because of how terrible I feel. I'm working myself up so much thinking about my symptoms and the possibilities
In the last couple of days I've noticed some white spots on my fingernails. I know these are either a sign off to much calcium or not enough but can't seem to identify an exact answer online. Anyone else have this, or have any insight? I hate to call my doctor over something like this when I'm sure I can find the answer out there. Also I'm tempted to crawl under my desk for a nap right about now haha.

Oh and @MRSCORKER I haven't thrown up yet either. 9 weeks, 1 day today. Only had small bouts of queasiness too, nothing bad. Crossing my fingers it doesn't get worse in these next few weeks!

@jillianpardo , haven't dealt with that, but that's scary about the passing out. I hope you get answers from the doc tomorrow. Try not to worry about it till tomorrow and take it easy today.
11 weeks tomorrow and the constipation has started. I haven't had a decent poop in 3 days.... just tiny ones that don't count. Ugh, sorry TMI. I think it may have something to do with the calcium/vit d supplement my doc has asked me to take.
@natsfan2442 I've heard it means not enough calcium but I think it's an old wives' tale. I've always gotten them occasionally and every time I've researched it I've read that it's from when you hit or bump your nail around the nail bed. When your nail grows out it leaves that mark.
ETA: also, I asked my dr about calcium bc my prenatal vitamin doesn't have any. She said as long as you get 3 servings a day (a glass of milk, a cheese stick, etc) it'd be fine! She also said if you're not getting enough servings for whatever reason you can always pop a couple of tums and you're good to go lol
Anyone dealing with exacerbated shoulder tendonitis? Looking for some suggested sleeping/pillow positions. I read that I can't sleep on my back during pregnancy and sleeping in my side has resulted in 2 cases within the past month
I hear you! If it helps at all, I take a probiotic that helps a ton. After getting pregnant I had to up the anty to Cuturelle with 15 billion strands of bacteria and that got me going! Nothing else helps.

I had random, mild queasiness off and on until this week. At 10 weeks, I've started to feel nauseous an hour after eating that doesn't go away until I eat again. Also, all I want to drink is lemonade/iced tea but I'm concerned about the caffeine in the tea and the artificial sweetener in the minute maid light lemonade. My husband suggested I switch to regular lemonade so I looked at the store... They all have at least 28 grams of sugar per 8 oz serving! I might as well drink milkshakes all damn day. I'm irrationally upset about this. The only thing I can think to do is brew decaf tea and make lemonade from scratch using stevia. It will take forever but it might just work.

It might be kind of a pain, but you could make your own lemonade. I was slightly anemic when I was pregnant with DS and my OB gave me a list of foods high in iron and ones that would help with iron absorption. Surprisingly, lemonade was on the list of foods that help with iron absorption! I used to make tons and tons of strawberry lemonade. (I realize you're not asking about iron absorption, but I just wanted to point out a benefit of drinking lemonade!)
I have a new irrationally large fear of losing the babies. It has not been this bad until I got further along. Maybe because I won't see the doctor for 4 more weeks. All I know is I'm emotionally unstable for realz.
@PeggyOlsonFTW I did not know that about lemonade but I'm already planning a trip to the store tomorrow for massive amounts of lemons. This might be the first real craving I've had.
