So I kept seeing the June girls talk about "labor buddies" I just don't get it... It seems like they are supposed to be maybe extra support, and you let them know when your going into labor so they can tell the rest of the board ... unless I understand it incorrectly. Like wouldn't it take just as long to post your in labor on the board then getting ahold of a labor buddy? Lol I don't know if pregnancy brain is getting the better of me, and I'm just missing out on something neat, or if other people stand in my confusion with this as well.

I still talk to the girls from my wedding board, we've been talking for 5ish years so most of the have one, two or three kids and almost always they've had a "labor buddy". I suppose it's easier to send someone a short text then it is to get into the Facebook group.
I chuckle when I see pictures from coupon shopping or just "stocking up" that include a dozen bottles of baby shampoo. We went through a total of one bottle in a year. In a non-arid climate where babies are bathed daily, you might need two or three...for an entire year.
I went to a friend's house today and instead of an Easter egg hunt, they did a beer hunt. Everyone got to leave with a mixed six pack. I helped hunt, but sadly won't get to help drink
A labor buddy is some one that is the go to person that updates for the group. So in would contact them and give them updates and they post in my stead
@Lindsayleigh1989 I didn't want to comment on a dead thread so I'll put this here. My persistence finally paid off! After trying 3 more targets in our area, I finally found one with a swag bag!
ETA also I don't usually get into March Madness, but my bracket is doing well this year. I am watching the Kansas game right now and silently going nuts. DH thinks it's hilarious.
@joberkiser I think it's something every birth month club pretty much does, but I don't really get the advantage either. Makes sense to me to just post yourself if you choose to keep everyone updated.
@jen11797 Yeah, we got two of the bigger bottles and we've used half of one in a year and a half. We do 3 baths a week typically.
So my birthday is coming up in a few weeks. My mom asked what I want for my birthday and said to really think because this is my last birthday before having a baby. I have no idea! I'm not the kind of personal who wants everything I see. I literally can't think of one thing I want! Help!
Finally had a stranger ask me when I'm due for the first time last night while I was out to dinner. I feel like I'm obviously pregnant now so I knew it was only a matter of time. Beats the uncomfortable, silent belly stares I've been getting from customers at work over the past 2 weeks anyway...
Ugh I keep waking up in the middle of the night and I'm sleeping on my back. Before I got pregnant I NEVER slept on my back, I was a stomach sleeper. But when I sleep on my sides I get hip pain so I guess without realizing it I'm rolling over on my back.
I always wake up on my back. It stresses me out but that's just what my body does. I can't help it! I sleep sooo much better. Sometimes I wedge my snoogle pillow behind my back so I'm leaning on the pillow instead of straight on my back. I feel like a horrible mother every time! Haha
Wow, pregnancy guilt ladies. Sleep how you sleep. You are not harming your kid. Yes, it does limit blood flow, a small amount. Once baby and uterus are bigger, you will know.
@DominiqueU well isnt that just a little slice of heaven? All I want is sandwiches. ALL I WANT. I can just imagine how good it would be to have one delivered after you're done delivering.
I hope you can take advantage of Neil and his generous offer.
@Natinat6 Oh yea. Neil and I are going to be very good friends once he delivers me some sandwichy goodness.
I sent the picture to my sister who is having twins and her response was, "Do you think they'll give me two sandwiches?????" Like the unexpectedness of twins was all suddenly worth it if it meant two free sandwiches.
