@krzyriver For what it's worth personally I wouldn't worry too much about taking an appointment from someone who "needs it" more--your doc's office is full of medical professionals and in the same way they offered to squeeze you in, I'm sure they would find a way to make it work if someone else had an emergency. If it will give you peace of mind and you found a slot that's doable, I say give yourself the gift of easing that anxiety--especially when you've had so many triggers around you lately. Sending love, prayers and happy appointment vibes (whenever you end up going!) your way!
@kateleap I was starting to think the same thing. I figured my mental health was a good enough reason. But hubby ended up booking an appt at one of those boutiques while I was coming to that decision because he assumed I wouldn't call the doctor back.
It was really weird. I wasn't crazy about the idea. They sold these teddy bears that you can put a recording of your baby's heartbeat in. And they had all those 3D images everywhere, which I personally find creepy. But my family and some other pregnant women encouraged me to try it if it would ease my mind. The doctor already approved a scan and this place could fit me in sooner than they could.
Saw Bean stretching those tiny little legs and rolling all around! And it was the first time my husband got to see it and the only time my stepson will get to see it. So I guess it was worth it.
