@oxinfree Congrats on DH"s job, i think it's great that you have all those great changes coming up, hope it all works out, so exciting! @BingALing23 You are right, we are so close! Are you doing a fresh or frozen transfer? @Tulips29 It sucks that he'll be away but once you start with the shots you'll get comfortable doing it, You've got this! And i know it's impossible not think about stuff, hopefully you can make it to the wedding And have a smooth ER, good luck! @milanjayla Great news, Wishing you a fast recovery!

Welcome back @dragonfaerie , glad to hear you are feeling good again. We go through so much that I think we forget we are human, I had been doing fairly ok with everything but before i started stimming I went through about 2 weeks where I was just down, nothing could cheer me up. I got mad at myself at the beginning for not being positive but then I decided it wasn't my fault, I couldn't help feeling that way, and thankfully I am back to my normal self, and recharged with positive energy. We all need to drain at some point

@vssbrm I think my RE's mock is different. His mock cycle takes two weeks and I have to take 2 kinds of shots during it... I wonder if I can talk him into just doing a mock transfer instead of the 2 week mock cycle that he does... Because I think that will literally set me back another month
I just did my first set of injections. Wasn't bad at all, but now I feel a bit on pinching where I injected. I chose to do the stomach, which felt a lot better than when I used to do the thigh. Plus, the needles this time are a lot smaller. For my iuis I feel like the needles were twice as big! Phew

I realized that this whole process will be stressful. I haven't even started my meds yet or have gone through a retrieval and I'm stressed. Why? Because getting my meds is such a pain in the ass and now I'm freaking out I won't get them in time. I'm going to pick up half of my meds soon and luckily it will only cost me about $45 or so. But then all of my injectables are coming through mail and there are all of these pre authorizations it has to go through with my insurance plus the shipping. Ugh.
@drove2u : which mail order pharmacy did you get yours from? Mine shipped over night and were awesome at making sure I got what I needed when I needed it - Metro Drugs. They know how important it is to get these drugs out quickly, I'm sure you will get them on time. When do you start?

The mail order pharmacy hasn't been even figured out yet. That's the problem. Still dealing with insurance and have to follow up with them on Monday to make sure everything is fine. And then figure out which pharmacy will ship. Ugh. I was able to pick up today my doxycycline, medrol, and estrace. That cost me $25 so not bad. Have five more meds to worry about still.
Hi all, just updating here. Went in for my retrieval today. The got 12 eggs which is awsome because I only had like 8 follicles earlier in the week. Not too much pain, I'd say like moderate period cramps with a little throbbing. Now I get a nice month off from all meds.

AFM - friend in town... Nice to have the distraction but also super tiring. Also, we went out in a boat on the lake in CP and being the clutz I am, I fell backwards and hit my back against the egdge of the boat and knocked my elbow pretty bad. I feel beat up haha. Why am I so uncoordinated !?!? Haha
night 4 of stimms tonight. Getting close to halfway through... Hopefully. I've got a bit of a scratchy throat... Hope I'm not getting sick.

Hi All, just an update and a question...went for BW & US this morning...had 9 on the right (which is more than the last check...yay!) but they couldn't see my left ovary. My RE said that sometimes when the ovary swells it gets pushed outside of the pelvic cavity. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
Hope everyone is doing well (whether it be stiimming, recovering from ER or on their TWW)! Happy Easter to those that celebrate!!!

@BingALing23 I've never heard of that but only bc it hasn't happened to me. 9 on the right sounds great! So does that mean there aren't any on the left or they just can't be seen right now? Hm. Very interesting. I've never had that many on one side mature or otherwise I don't think. Low egg count makes things tricky. Hopefully things continue to go well for you. Hope everyone's doing great.

@lilsweetheart115 At the second US they could see the left ovary and there were 4 there. So my assumption is that With the ones on the right may have 13 possible eggs which would be more than I expected. Thanks for the well wishes!

@lilsweetheart115 stims are going well. I'm on day 3 now and go back for my u/s and b/w tomorrow. I actually don't even feel the needle going in, just a bit of stinging when the liquid is pushed in and then nothing after. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing it in the right spot since I chose to do the stomach. Hopefully will see some progress with the u/s tomorrow.
@BingALing23 my left ovary is always hidden to the point they either can't see it or have to poke around super hard to spot it. It also doesn't respond to medication so I'm only working with my right one. I'm sure it's fine if they can see the right one and it's producing follicles. I worried too and my RE said its fine.
@oxinfree hope you're not getting sick and maybe it's just allergies. I feel that way too this time of the year. I hate allergies!

Update: 10 were mature and 8 fertilized. Similar to the first round. Just crossing my fingers that at least half make it to stage 5 and they are of good quality. I'm feeling good today. Swollen a little but ok. TMI but I was able to go #2! Last time I couldn't go for 2.5 days. On top of the swelling from my ovaries, I had bloat from not being able to go.
@BingALing23 that happened to me too! Actually twice. The first time the doctor (not my regular doctor) asked if I had a left ovary. Apparently my right ovary was so big it pushed my uterus which then pushed my left ovary up. They were able to get to it for the retrieval though.
@BingALing23 I am doing frozen so you'll be done first, GL! Glad to hear other from @milanjayla that even though her ovary "hid" as well they could still get eggs from it @Foxy8609 That's great that you feel ok, FX so they all make it to day 5! Glad you mentioned the constipation, I had been wanting to ask you guys. They mentioned to me that it may happen and to take a soft laxative, so far i'm ok but I was wondering what exactly causes it and when should I expect it to happen
AFM , another us today. They found more eggs than before, yay! but they are slow growers, a few 16 mm but a lot of them are still 13-14 mm and I'm on day 11, we thought ER would be on Tuesday but I'm gonna have to stim today and go back tomorrow and hopefully ER Wed-Thur. Doing ok, just a lil uncomfortable when walking. Happy Easter to those that celebrate

@yelllow22 yea the constipation comes after retrieval. So far so good but first time I felt horrible from not being able to go. Had to take a stool softener.
@BingALing23 tonight was night 2 of stimming. We finished a little bit ago and I'm doing fine so far. I've been stuck so many times over the last 2-3 years it's not too bad. I feel bad for my husband who has to mix my high dose of Menopur. He has to do 4 things of 75iu of Menopur mixed together with the solution. So it takes time. He's great at giving me my injections though. Not feeling much going on in there yet but I know in a matter of days there will be some aching from the follies growing. I don't mind that as long as they're growing. Hope a lot are growing and will mature but it's tough with my low egg count.

My appt isn't til Wednesday so I'll be anxiously awaiting that US to see how things are going. I'm glad some others on here were able to relate to your ovary not showing up in the ultrasound. Good to know they can still get the eggs during retrieval too. @yelllow22 that's great that you're getting more eggs and hopefully you'll get a good amount and can have retrieval soon. @Foxy8609 great news for 8 fertilized! Hoping they keep progressing to day 5 and then a happy healthy pregnancy! @Tulips29 glad stimms are going well. Hope your appt goes great!! To me the really uncomfortable meds are coming up. Ganirelix is usually the one that stings for me. That and the trigger shot and progesterone in oil.

@Tulips29 - allergies... good call... didn't think of that and I do in fact get awful seasonal allergies. That being said, I'm going to still chug some emergen-c to be sure... my throat is sore again today and better safe than sorry I figure... Glad to hear stimms are going well for you and that you're not feeling much of anything! That's amazing. I feel drunk after each time...or high, so odd. I can deal with the mild stinging, but my ovaries are definitely starting to swell and become sore. I also go in tomorrow for an u/s and bw. First time since I started stimming and today is day 5. Curious as to why they didn't bring me in for a checkup sooner... hope that's not a bad sign I'm not getting quality care Hope tomorrow goes well for both of us and we both have stellar progress!
@lilsweetheart115 - wow 4 vials of menopur.... crazy! I only have to mix the 1 dose of 75 and that alone takes time. Can't imagine. Nice that DH is helping you. Mine would, I just don't trust him haha. I might be a bit of a control freak Glad they're going well for you. I didn't feel anything until yesterday (day 4) that's when the ovary heaviness kinda kicked in for me. Today even more so. Wednesday will be here before you know it!
@yellow22 - yay for more eggs!!! Maybe they'll tell you at your appointment that you're ready to trigger tomorrow and you'll have retrieval Wednesday! Fx!
@Foxy8609 - nothing such as tmi in my book! haha... I am IBS-C so even with stimms I'm all messed up. Not looking forward to post-retrieval and things getting worse... eek! Hope you get relief glad 8 fertilized for you. I'm sure you'll be on pins and needles waiting for updates. Here's hoping ALL make it to day 5!!!!
AFM - go in for check-up tomorrow... hoping for some good numbers but obviously super duper nervous. Just want this so bad!!! Doesn't help that my usual doc is on vacation and I have an on-call doc I've never met. Lame. Ovaries are super heavy and I've been quite bloated on and off, but drinking lots of water and trying to get more fruits and veg since all I really wanna eat is starch like potatoes and rice and that's not exactly helpful. Halfway done!!!!...hopefully

I took my first PIO shot today. It wasn't nearly as bad as I had made it out to be in my head but it does feel weird. Today is also my first day being on estradiol.
@oxinfree Assuming your RE says it's okay (and I think it is) try taking some Zinc for a few days. That usually heads off illness for me. @BingAling23 They had a hard time sometimes seeing at my ovaries because the meds really plugged me up and I got constipated. They had to push really hard to see my follicles. I'm glad they could see your left ovary later though!
AFM- we had Easter lunch just with a couple of people, including my MIL and one of my guy friends that has been super supportive and awesome during this. This morning, my MIL gave us a book of kids stories for our future kiddo, which was super sweet and I didn't mind cuz I buy stuff for the nursery myself sometimes. And Even though it was all adults, my DH and I decided to hide one egg for each guest to find. I said "oh, speaking of eggs.." and both my MIL and my friend were like "OH! ARE YOU PREGNANT!" It's like.. ugh... no.... I would not tell you randomly like that. I know everyone is excited for us, but then my MIL said "That's why I gave you the book this morning, because I thought you might be and you were going to tell us today." I try not to let it bother me too much, but things coming from her are really hard for me to deal with because we don't have the best relationship. *sigh* I hope you all had a lovely day!

At my appointment yesterday they were saying ER may be in Wed or Thurs. @Tulips29 They pushed a lot to try to get it into view, but still couldn't see it...good to know that yours is like that and that it's fine. @milanjayla Thanks for sharing...definitely makes me feel better to know that! @lilsweetheart115 That is a lot of mixing! I also have my DH mix and do the injections for me. It's one less thing for me to stress over. I think he likes to feel as though he's doing something in this part of process and helping to take care of me. @oxinfree GL with your appointment tomorrow!

@oxinfree I hope you're feeling better and your appointment today goes well!
@lilsweetheart115 wow, 4 vials of menopur, you're a trooper! I only have to take 1 vial and that one stings a bit for me.
@dragonfaerie oh man, that's tough. But I guess your MIL coming from a good place, even though it's random and a bit uncalled for to ask you like that. I hope your Easter was enjoyable despite that little snafu. My mom told me the other day that she was skyping with my aunt who lives overseas and my aunt commented how she saw a recent picture of me and it looked like I gained weight, so she asked my mom if I was pregnant. I found that super rude and inappropriate. Then she proceeded to ask my mom why DH and I are waiting so long to have kids. UGH!
AFM - I just had my first appointment since starting injections on Friday. ER didn't see any follicle growth but said it's still early for that (is it really?) and they will check all the levels via b/w. Not sure what to think since I was really hoping to see some progress. I take 150 ml of gonal-f and 1 vial of menopur each day. Thinking they may increase my dosage. I was also feeling strange that I didn't even feel injections going in, just a bit of stinging from menopur. Nothing at all from gonal-f. Wondering if it's the needle size or maybe because I have extra cushion in my belly.

Ugh.

@Drove2u that's stressful about the meds. I was with prime pharmacy and they were great and very fast!! Hope it's sorted soon!
@Foxy8609 great number retrieved. When do you find out fertilization?
@milanjayla wow. Great fertilization! Congrats!!!

@Foxy8609 That's great that you feel ok, FX so they all make it to day 5!

@lilsweetheart115 - wow 4 vials of menopur.... crazy! I only have to mix the 1 dose of 75 and that alone takes time. Can't imagine. Nice that DH is helping you. Mine would, I just don't trust him haha. I might be a bit of a control freak
Not looking forward to post-retrieval and things getting worse... eek! Hope you get relief
