Re: Weekend Randoms 3/26-27

  • I am having intense abdominal cramps today. I hope it's just a gi bug. Very nervous.
  • Loading the player...
  • Ordered my first bunch of maternity clothes yesterday from Zulily and Old Navy (yay for sales!). Also got my maternity uniforms in the mail. Pretty sure I'm going to start wearing them as soon as I announce my pregnancy even though I don't need them yet... they're just so comfortable!

It's 11am and I'm just getting out of bed

The only reason I'm getting up and not being even more ultra lazy is that my cat somehow opened my bedroom door and decided to come rub her gums on my face. I'm allergic to her and break out in hives when she does that. Now I have to get up so I can wash my face and give her some attention. Sigh...

  • I've been to McDonald's, Starbucks, Pizza Hut and Lolli and Pop today, it's not even noon yet.

I'm hoping Bite of New York will be open tonight for a hot Italian grinder.
  • Now I want buffalo wild wings.... or panda express... or both.
So far I have only eaten fruity pebbles today.

  • @rooftop omg sending my husband out for fruity pebbles right now!

@grannysmith912 my sister and husband have been teaming up on me saying that ive been a toddler lately with my naps and tantrums!

Im excited yet dreading Easter tomorrow. Kinda wanna eat all the food... kinda dont wanna see or talk to my family. Can I just have the mashed potatoes?
  • @KilgraveMadeMeDoIt I was craving poutine like crazy last night, thankfully it passed before I caved.

We're going to the Keg tonight to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. I can't wait for steak and twice baked potato. Last year we were on a two week European cruise, this year we're only going out because we have a gift card!

@Shawnee11507 I hope your stomach starts feeling better soon!
@AdmiralKitty That reminds me, I need to order my uniform in maternity size too! Elastic waistband for the win.
@zrain Yup, thats why I shut both my cats out at night, I get so mad when they jump on me at 6 in the morning to be fed. I feel your pain.
@grannysmith912 Yes! I was SUCH a baby today! Also, buttered toast sounds so good right now.
@homeydontplaythat If we had all those things close by I probably would have done the exact same thing. All the fooddddd!
@m6agua You are so good. I'm looking around now and feeling like I definitely should be vacuuming. Enjoy the movie tomorrow!
@rooftop Dang it now I really want wings!!
@KilgraveMadeMeDoIt Ugh poutine is so dang good. I had it for the first time last year and it was fancy with duck and now I'm salivating all over myself.
@honeybeewebb2424 YES my sentiments exactly! I don't want to talk to anyone, I just want to eat all the things. Why can't DH just go to Easter dinner and then bring me back all the food?
    @EDK2010 Happy Anniversary!

You guys are making me hungry with all your food talk. I just made DH go with me to get pastries from Panera because all I wanted was a dang cinnamon roll all day but I had to wait until laundry was done... I had literally no clean underwear. Pregnancy apparently makes me really lazy.
Oh and our doppler came! I'm only 8 +2 so I definitely wasn't expecting to hear anything, but we had to try it out anyway. Have you ever listened to your own heart like that? Super weird.

eta: @HomeyDontPlayThat me looking at that picture:
  • No judging.  Even though I can still fit in my regular pants I pulled out my old maternity jeans for last night since I went to a buffet. My husband saw them and shamed lol and at the end of the night I def looked 5 months pregnant.
  • @peachykeen17 mermaid tails are provided for in the shoot apparently ;)

I mean, whatever gets you dude but can you imagine that kid down the road? What will their friends say? Their future partner? Do mermaids breastfeed? Do fish? I don't get what the hell mermaids have to do with that moment between mother and child.
  • Omfg. I joined a random Facebook group for due in November. Came across this gem being advertised for photography. This might be the best I've seen.

What do you think is the thought process that leads someone to this particular photoshoot?  Professional breastfeeding pictures seem odd to me.  And then wanting to do it outside little stranger.  But at what point was someone like, "Amazing idea.  Mermaid and merbaby on the beach!"
  • My company participated in the Tampa Pride parade today and it was broiling hot outside. Cocktails were flowing and I realized a) I miss cocktails and b) trying to keep this pregnancy secret will be a little trickier than I realized.

  • A friend of mine did a sort of boudoir breastfeeding shot with her first a few years ago.  My husband stumbled on it on accident when he was browsing FB on my phone.  He wasn't ready for that.

  • I realized this morning that I now fit into a pair of jeans that was too tight for me a earlier this year. I started a killer workout/healthy eating routine in early Feb with the goal of getting back in shape,  but hadn't seen any progress (I stopped when I got the BFP and had lost maybe 2 lbs). Turns out two weeks of constant m/s  did the trick. I was excited for like 3.5 seconds before I realized that these jeans were going back in the drawer soon.  Bummer.  Lol.

  • My daughter (5) had a TRU gift card left from her birthday and wanted to use it so we stopped by.

She bought a broom. A kid-sized, Hello Kitty broom. Let loose in Toys R Us, my kid buys a broom.

She's sweeping the kitchen at the moment.
This sounds like my daughter! She loves to clean, and for her birthday 2 different people gave her child-sized cleaning tools. The Melissa and Doug set is really cute and perfect for toddlers.

My husband and I are not enthusiastic housekeepers. We have no idea where she got this enjoyment of cleaning. We do it because we have to, but she actually enjoys it. That's the part I can't figure out. She didn't get those genes from me!

  • @SRose109 I just got off a 6 HR plane ride with a toddler too! I think we deserve a medal! I am rewarding myself right now with hot fries, Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup, and blue machine naked juice from the 24hr bodega down the street. Yum.
  • My husband cooked a turkey today while I was sleeping (overnight shift). Kept waking up afternoon because it smelled so good. All my tummy was up for was turkey, stuffing, and gravy.
  • What do you eat for dinner when nothing sounds good? DH is making a big deal about me not wanting vegetables right now... I feel like he cares more about the dinosaur blob than about me sometimes...
...not vegetables...    I made nachos that were just cheese and a little salsa last night.

I agree. If I'm feeling yucky I don't have vegetables either. I usually have cereal. It's been my go to for a few nights now.
  • @MissAmeliaPond my go to has been plain bagels when nothing sounds good. That, or Mac and cheese! Carbs, carbs, carbs!

Our cat is IN LOVE with my husband. She is going to be in a dark depression come November! We are going to ruin her ideal little life!
