R/R/CS: I woke up early and my temp was a bit higher than it has been the last several days. Trying not to read anything into that. I didn't bother trying to go back to sleep. Instead, I'm watching TV, bumping, and "jogging" on the elliptical at home (a win/lose situation to be sure).
GTKY: There are many, many books over the years that have helped shape my world view. For my response, I'm going with fiction. As a preteen/younger teen, I really loved fantasy.books by Mercedes Lackey. One of her trilogies, The Last Herald Mage Trilogy (Magic's Pawn, Magic's Promise, Magic's Price), follows the life and struggles of a young herald mage who also happens to be homosexual. At the time I read it, it was "just" a good series among the many Valdemar books Lackey was writing. Now that I'm older, I give it some credit for helping to broaden my perspective and how I feel about LGBT rights, particularly given my otherwise very sheltered, very conservative upbringing in the '80's/'90's.
Testing: Last three days. Stark white BFNs. Had a moment with an FRER this morning where I really thought I saw something. It was almost definitely an Evap line. It's completely gone now.
R/R/CS: After this one I think I'm out for sure. 3ish days until AF shows her ugly face. I know I found a bunch of silver linings in the 'if I'm not KU' this month, but it still hurts. I need to do a better job of not building my hopes up so high next month. There were a series of reasons I felt this was our month, but in reality none of those things really matter or are a guarantee of anything. Lessons learned for next month!
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? Wow, this is a challenging question. I am a reader of mostly non-influential works. The things I've read in recent years I can't really claim have been worth anything culturally. I would have to go back to college I think for this one and say The Things They Carried by Tim O'brien. I think this book really opened me up to the struggles any soldiers returning from war go through to reacclimate themselves to their families and societies after the horrendous things they've witnesses and been a part of. At the time I lived near a huge joint military base and was in frequent contact with men and women in the armed services. I've always been thankful for their service, but up to that point I can't really say I ever truly thought about how much they were sacrificing.
R/R/CS: Guys, I can't believe it. I really thought I was out this month from the slow temp drops... but AF was a day late and my temp kinda went up, so I thought, why not, I'll POAS. Used the cheapie, immediately got a second line, used a first response, immediately got a second line, both undeniable!! WOOHOO!!! I realize I'd been doing mostly negative-nancy drive-by's lately, but I owe so much to you ladies and all the questions you answered. I felt so in control of my fertility because of the bump community. Thank you all so much
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle! All about being in the moment. Very powerful.

R/R/CS: Koda's obedience class this morning and then making bacon buns with DH for Easter tomorrow. I had to look up how many DPO I was today so I guess than means I'm keeping the BSC in for now at least. Three more days and I'll be going crazy. P.S. Proby gesterone supplements are horrible.
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I'm a bit of a financial nerd and this was given to me by one of my mentors. It is addressed from the point of view of a child growing up with his "poor" dad, who is his biological father and teacher that struggles to make ends meet and his "rich" father who is his friend's dad and his mentor that runs successful business ventures and in turn makes decent profits. It addresses street smarts vs traditional classroom education, differing viewpoints on money, investments, etc. It's a great read.
@aliciabhen I'm right there with you re: not getting my hopes up next cycle. Sorry for the BFN and FX for cycle 3!
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD/DPO: 27/unknown
Timing: not good enough apparently lol
Testing: BFN this morning. Won't be testing again.
R/R/CS: Officially calling myself out and just waiting for AF to come so I can get that over with.
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? I'm having trouble thinking of one right now, but I'll come back to this. I can say that Judy Blume was a pretty formative part of my childhood.
@PrettyPalomino ! Congrats! @aliciabhen Freaking evap lines! I know how you feel, but remember you're not out until you're out
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD/DPO: 29/10
Timing: -3, -1, +1
Testing: Going to test tomorrow with an FRER
R/R/CS: Temp went up? It dipped at 7dpo, but I've heard that's common because you get a tiny estrogen surge around then, but it went back up to a higher place than it was pre-dip. I can't really rely on my last month's chart for figuring out if this is just normal for me because it's just not enough data, but it looks like my temp spiked 2 days before AF last month... since I'm only 10dpo right now, I'm not thrilled about that as a possibility. FF is showing me almost nothing but people with 10 day LPs in "charts like yours", so I'm kind of like wtf FF right now, especially since the "similar" charts have the temp rise at 7dpo and then AF after 9dpo, which *isn't* like my cycle.
GTKY: Name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale." Not that it gave me tremendous insight into things I didn't already know, but it helped me interpolate a lot of my own opinions on women's rights to finally form a cohesive stance on feminism.
R/R/CS: Had another temp drop and thought for sure today would be CD1, but I guess AF will come tomorrow. Whatevs. We hung out with our only friends without kids who aren't KU last night and it was awesome. I'm feeling better in general.
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? I'm glad a thought provoking question came on a Saturday, I never have the mental energy during the week!! The first book that came to mind is Walking on Water by Madeleine L'Engle. It's her reflections on faith and art, but it's also so much more than that. I am both progressive/very open-minded and a Christian, and had a faith crisis in college when I thought those two things were mutually exclusive. Her book beautifully weaves faith with ideas of openness and belonging without judgment. It's awesome. I try to re-read it every year.
Testing: Sunday/Monday, but it would be really sweet if my LP extends by a day again this month!
R/R/CS: so happy to be home with H, DS and my dog. There really is no place like home.
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how?
Two very distinct answers - 1. To Kill A Mockingbird, which I read almost every year. I love the values and morals. I've always been comfortable to stand on my own, despite what the world is doing, and there were many times in adolescence this book spoke to me to 'do the right thing' rather than the popular thing.
2. 1984 by George Orwell. It was the first time I realized the possibility corruption and absolute power of government. Interestingly enough, there's a ton of parallels that can be drawn with today's government, even though the book was published almost 70 years ago. Sad that the worst conceivable version of government 70 years ago is exactly what we're moving towards today.

Testing: I don't like to get my hopes up so I'm just waiting to see if Always-Punctual AF rears her head Tuesday.
R/R/CS: Still not sure if I'm even ovulating but I get my CD21 test results on Thursday so FX for some good results. DH is coming with me and my OB/GYN can give him a referral for an SA that day if he thinks it's necessary.
And I'm in the car on our way to DH's family Easter where I'm expecting to fend off personal / inappropriate questions all day, because you know, history. I should have taken like, a Valium or something before we left. It's really really hard not to be snarky.
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? I tend to keep my reading material fairly light but Marian Keyes does a great job with pairing serious topics with lighthearted content. Mystery of Mercy Close taught me a lot about the way depressed and suicidal people think and not having any experience with that myself I appreciate the opportunity for empathy it gave me. And congratulations @PrettyPalomino!!!

@canavara Your cycle sounds identical to mine! I had the 7dpo dip and then have had consistently higher temps since. And FF has also been frustrating me with the same thing. Everyday when I look at charts like mine it shows me charts that end on my current DPO, so people with 10, 11 etc day LPs! So annoying FF. Get your act together. FX for good news when you test tomorrow! @DiFazette your two most influential books are two of my absolute favorite classics. They are so meaningful even still today. I guess that's what makes a classic a classic though!
@houseofsetters Sorry for the temp drop. Glad you are feeling better though! @writeress FX for both us! Cycle # buddies.
@nwegman7878 Thanks for holding out hope for me! I think at this point I'm trying to be negative because disappointment is more likely, but at the same time I still have a little hope too You just wouldn't know it because I sound like a negative nancy. Also yay for keeping the BSC in check!
@MelissaM090 - Marian Keyes is one of my favorite authors for easy reads! I think her first books were better than the newer ones, but still good nonetheless.
R/R/CS: Woke up in a weird mood today, my temps are doing nothing different and I already feel out, even through I know it is still too early. I have to go to my nephews 1st birthday this morning and DH has to work so I am going to have to endure questions all alone. I'm hoping everyone will be too distracted by the little cutie, but I know it is going happen. My family makes the most uncomfortable conversations about when we are going to have babies.
GTKY: Can't think right now, too early, too little coffee.
@MelissaM090 I see we are in a similar boat today, best of luck to you! Hope you can fend them off smoothly and firmly. A little snark goes a long way.
@PepperAT My sympathies. I had another friend complaining about the same thing but her DH's family is huge and therefore there's distractions and opportunities for escape. DH's family is 7 people including us so I'm in for 8 hours of conversation with no escape.
Keep track of the things that annoy you today! We can compare notes later!

@difazette I totally agree with you: there's no place like home!
@melissam090 Good luck at your appt this week, and with fending off intrusive questions! I know how difficult that can be without getting snarky sometimes.

Testing: BFN this morning on a FRER at DH's request. I think he doesn't think much of the Wondfos because they're so cheap.
R/R/CS: My temp dropped slightly this morning, but it's still way up. But BFN. And it's raining this morning, so that's not helping my feelings any. Sorry to be a Debbie downer this morning!
GTKY: I'm currently in the middle of The Bookseller of Kabul. I can't think of the author's name right now. It's written like fiction, but it's based on the Swedish author's time living with a family in Kabul. She really highlights the difficulties of the women in this family.

R/R/CS: I knocked my BBT off my side table and it slid all the way to under the middle of the bed. So couldn't temp this morning. So annoyed. I guess I'll find out if it's CD1 without help of my temps haha.
GTKY: Name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? Most the books I read are mostly entertaining crime novels or chick lit, so not a huge influence there. I do read a lot of personal finance books too but I guess those wouldn't change my world view but more personal insight. To change the question a little, The Total Money Makeover totally change my life and how I view money. Also, another book that comes to mind is The Five Love Languages. It helped DH and I understand each other better and helped us through a rough patch when we were still dating. I end up using the principles from that book in a lot of my other relationships, as well.

@pretzel2plus1 Ugh, sorry for the BFN! I feel like it hurts more on an FRER than a wondfo. Month/Cycle: 7/7
CD/DPO: 23/5
Timing: -5, -3, -1, O
Testing: Either 9dpo or 13dpo--we'll see how I'm feeling at that point.
R/R/CS: Well my temp went up a lot today! Buuuut I slept in and temped two hours late and had a couple beers last night sooo it's artificially high. Still makes me happy to look at, though!
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? Difficult question! There is a children's book I loved as a child (and still do) called Hope for the Flowers and it portrays a really good message about finding hope when you're feeling hopeless. The illustrations were really cool, too. Another book that has been influential in my personal and professional views is The Children in Room E4 which narrates the inequality still embedded in the public education system based on where children live. Somewhat depressing, but important to understand the vicious cycle that many children born into non-ideal situations enter into.
Testing: probably shouldn't yet, but yes. As expected, BFN yesterday and today. I plan to keep testing until it's clear AF is coming.
R/R/CS:
I'm not sure why but I was all excited earlier this cycle but once I started testing yesterday and today, started to get a little worried. DH said that to get worried is the last thing we need to do-- just enjoy each other, try our best with the knowledge we have with the process and go from there. We started laughing about how we totally missed the mark on the first month (sooo true) and this month we exhausted ourselves with the constant BD. But the next round, he's REALLY ready. LOLOL! That made me feel a little better.
GTKY: Hmmm there are a lot of books that I love, but I would have to say Snow Falling on Cedars really changed my view on things. That as well as Native Son. Love both books.

Found out I will be making the Easter meal this year and now have to decide what to cook and get my butt to the grocery store on top of the other errands (pmus work meeting and accupunture appointment) I was going to do today already. Glad I am getting to lounge in bed for a a little while first.
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how? The Spoon River Anthology. I loved hearing about small town life from those that had passed away. After growing up on a small town it was once of the first books I read that sorta held a familiarity to small town living and how interconnected everyone is. 2nd choice would be Laura Ingles wilder series....it was one of the books that really inspired reading in my world and I even made my parents hold pioneer dinners where we had to eat with the lights off around a lantern. Haha

@Zoey1019 Awesome job! Yes, I RX'd. That one is definitely a mental one. I remember doing it two years ago when I first started CrossFit (and was 110lbs heavier than I am now) and thinking "WTF IS THIS". It was actually kind of cool to do it again, because I knew how much it sucked last time, so at least that wasn't a surprise! I wish I remembered my original time...I think it was around 40 minutes. I wasn't officially signed up for the Open at that point so I can't look it up! I applaud you for working out this morning lol I definitely did not. And thanks for the FX, this wait is killing me. Feeling so anxious, and trying not to get my hopes up, but it is so hard not to.

But I totally want to dabble in that world. I love competing in CrossFit, and I think it would be fun to try something new.

Testing: Starting to waver, maybe 13DPO

Testing: I didn't test today! Tomorrow it is.
R/R/CS: my temp went up this morning by .2 degrees. I'll try not to read too much into it, because I have no symptoms (other than being fatigued and exhausted, I've been working!) I wonder what my temp is now - just did CPR. No wonder I'm exhausted.
GTKY: Taking a page from @meilay 's GTKY, name a book that has influenced your world view. Why/how?
I changed my answer. The Kite Runner. Opened my eyes to life and culture in Afghanistan.
