I know it's not Friday any more, but I fell asleep last night during all of this belly button excitement. Mine never popped out last time at all. It is the only stretch mark I got from pregnancy too. One little one right above my belly button. I think it's because it stretched instead of popping out. I'm 6 feet tall, so I kind of figured it could be because I had plenty of room. I'm mostly legs though, so who knows!? I think pregnant outies are cute though, and I was a little disappointed...
Omg this belly button talk is killing me haha! My friends and husband alwaysss make fun of me for hating belly buttons. My best friend from back home even sends me videos of her poking hers ... Bleh just gives me chills thinking about it haha!
Oh man, Im right there with you on the belly button talk! I cant stand mine being poked or touched! Of course my daughters "comforting technique" when shes tired, is sticking her finger in her belly button and playing with it. What are the odds? It drives me crazy! lol
I know I've probably over-discussed my belly button insecurities, but I'll be glad when mine pops and isn't making my belly dent. Also, isn't an outie belly button (not pregnant) a hernia? I could be making that up.
@elenabrent depending on how deep your belly button normally is, it might never pop. I have a very deep belly button I guess, and it never popped with DD. It got weird and stretched out, and the bottom part of it was almost flush with the edges, but no outie.
I have always had an outie and I personally find it cuter than innie belly buttons. Mine actually looks like a button - not a hole and it is a belly button not a belly hole afterall. I don't have to worry about getting lint in it either. The pregnancy is actually flattIng it out and it kind of bums me out. I hope it springs back. I recognize this makes,me a little odd.
On the subject of boredom I prefer Sir Terry Pratchett's words.

Not always. I asked my Pedi about it at one point, and he said that outies usually fall into two different categories: either a hernia (big or small), or there was an infection at some point and that is how it healed. Some (hernias) go back on their own as the child grows, and some have to have surgery. My nanny kid's was apparent by the time he was about a week old. His belly button sticks out about an inch from his body (my DD thought that he had two penises...LOL!). Anyway, he is 3.5 now, and it isn't going back in on its own, so he will be having surgery on it in the next few months.
