So I couldn't take the anxiety anymore and emailed my RE assuming his email is tied to his smartphone and he would get it right away lol; well, I guess my assumptions were correct since he called me lol. So only 2 embryos made it to biopsy stage today, but he's hoping at least 40-50% of the remaining 6 will make it to biopsy tomorrow on day 6. Not going to lie, my heart sank hearing only 2. I started panicking thinking what if the remaining 6 don't develop to biopsy stage tomorrow and then the 2 comes back abnormal from the PGS testing... I know I should be thinking positive thoughts, but it's so hard not to think of all the bad what ifs....
@jenn6782 there is definitely hope! I only had 2 ready for biopsy on day 5 and had 11 more growing. We ended up with 8 going to genetic testing (so 6 more on day 6)!

Funny how we take on distractions hey @vssbrm ?? A good spring cleaning is ALWAYS a good idea. I have a friend coming into town tomorrow, so that's going to make the next 5 days whizz by... once she's gone though I expect time will slow substantially for the second half of our cycle. Hi all, I'm a little late to this party...although I've been stalking this board for the past few weeks. You all have been so brave...thank you for sharing your stories as I have found a lot of comfort in them.
I am currently on day 6 of stims. I had BW & US this morning. It showed 5 on the right and 4 on the left. Hoping that a few more may show up soon. They said that ER may not be until next Wednesday or Thursday. How many days have you all stimmed until ER? It just seems longer than they had originally said.
I'm still figuring out who is at what stage, but good luck to all!

@BingALing23 Hi! Average # of days on stim meds is 10-12. I only stimmed for 8 because my follicles weren't growing much more (due to my low AMH) and RE wanted to retrieve before risking their decline. Best of luck!

RE called and they were able to biopsy 3 more!!! So I've got 5 frozen embabies out of the 8 fertilized eggs!! The biopsies are sent out to get the PGS testing today and I should hear the results in about 10 days!!! I have a post ER check up tomorrow with my RE so I'll ask him what the game plan is on transfer date.
Not much of an update here. Going for a nurse consult tomorrow to get all my meds straightened out. Right now I have no idea what and when I will be taking them.
Those who did genetic testing, did you get a call on the 10th day from your RE on the 10th day with results or did you wait longer? Tomorrow is day 10 and I want to know the results!!

Im trying to catch up on everyones updates. Seems like everyone is moving along. I can finally trigger tonight!!! Except I have to stay up until 11:45 and then wake up at 5 again tomorrow for BW and US. I seriously think they should have put a tap in my arm for blood. I had monitoring done everyday since sunday. I am excited I get to sleep in a little the day of my retrieval. I dont need to be at the surgery center until 10:15.

So today is day 8 of shots, had US and they counted 14 follicles , out of those 3 were 11 mm, 3 were 10, 4 were 9, 1 was 8 and another one was 7. I'm happy to see a good amount, hopefully they will grow more. Meds stayed the same. Going back Sunday, they said possible ER on Tuesday. Side note: My allergies are killing me!!!

Wow! Busy group now! So happy for all of the positive updates I've read. I stimmed for 9 days first cycle and 10 days the second cycle so it'll be interesting to see how this cycle goes. Meds start Saturday and my first ultrasound to see how things are progressing will be Wednesday. That's always slightly nerve wracking waiting to see how those follicles are progressing.

@Foxy8609 ...thanks for asking. Stimms last night were a little nerve-wracking. I had done them before, so knew what to expect in terms of the actual shots themselves, but of course, just worried I would mess it up somehow. Mixing the menopur is always intimidating. Tonight I killed it though, even though we were out at our friends place. Go me! haha.
I start ganirelex Saturday, and then a progress check-up on Monday. I can't believe we're moving along so quickly. Time is flying by.
In other news. DH got a new job today! Yahoo! We'll be moving to Houston though. We'll be in NY probably for another 3-6 months, so if we're successful I'll at least get to relax for the first trimester which is nice, and have the move done before I'm in my 3rd which is also nice. Win win.

Welcome @BingALing23 !!! You and I seem to be on very close cycles. Last time I stimmed I think for about 12 days because I wasn't responding as well as hoped. This time I'm gunning for 10! haha... things never go as planned though, so I try and just be as flexible as possible!

@oxinfree yes I am home free now! Had my final bw and us this morning. Looks like I have a few more follicles that grew from the trigger. I'm so happy I don't have to do anymore shots. Unless they think I need an extra trigger boost but I think I will be ok. So hoping for some good quality eggs.

@lilsweetheart115 I start stims tonight or tomorrow as well, so looks like we'll be on the same cycle path
AFM - I had my baseline this morning so now waiting for the clinic to call me back this afternoon with my stim protocol. DH is away this weekend, so I'm nervous to do the injections myself. I did them mostly myself during my IUI cycles, but this for some reason makes me more nervous. Maybe it's because I am expecting a lot more injections, so I'm psyching myself out. I also realized that my ER might be around a friend's wedding. It's DH's best friend getting married, so he can't miss the wedding. I may have to if my ER happens to be on the same day, or close to it and I'm in pain. Trying not to worry too much about this and just see what happens.

Speaking of waiting... Went to post ER appointment; my follicles are slowly but surely going back to normal. The RE said that my ovaries are still 1.5 times bigger than the normal size (to be expected after ER) hence still feeling the occasional twinges and cramps when I do something too strenuous. So now, enter the waiting game... Wait 10 days for PGS results, wait for my next period which the RE says usually is about 2 weeks from ER, then do a mock cycle, then wait again before transfer. It does to seem never ending at times and I just want to hurry up and transfer already!! Has anyone had experience with mock cycles before? Would love some insight!
Hello everyone. I took this week off of posting and reading. I had a breakdown on Sunday night because I've not been letting myself really worry about things, trying to positive and happy so no one else worries, but I finally lost it. My DH was amazing and helped me bleed off everything that I was worried about, and then talked me through it all. It was very cathartic and I am finally feeling like myself again. Had my nurse consult and holy moly on the meds. Also sticking a lot of things up my vagina. It was really overwhelming. Now expecting AF on April 5 and will go from there.

@dragonfaerie I've been on the verge of breaking down all week. I was just telling my BFF that from trying to remain so positive my emotions are a big ball of confusion, fear, anxiety, etc. I'm glad you DH was there to help you through! You've been so strong for yourself and all of us, every once in a while we have to let the less positive stuff out!

@jenn6782 I just had a mock transfer on Tuesday. Essentially the RE practices getting the cath to your uterus. Mine pretty much did another saline sono so he could make sure everything looked good after over stimming. So yea, cath and the lovely u/S wand to make sure he can to to where he needs to! No worse than a pap.

I decided I would clean out my basement this week, help time go by, and we are planning on doing some remodeling, so I figure it should not be the unmanageable mess that it once was... The finished portion of our basement looks like a disaster struck. But it will be nice when it is finished!

Hi all, I'm a little late to this party...although I've been stalking this board for the past few weeks. You all have been so brave...thank you for sharing your stories as I have found a lot of comfort in them.
I am currently on day 6 of stims. I had BW & US this morning. It showed 5 on the right and 4 on the left. Hoping that a few more may show up soon. They said that ER may not be until next Wednesday or Thursday. How many days have you all stimmed until ER? It just seems longer than they had originally said.
I'm still figuring out who is at what stage, but good luck to all!

Im trying to catch up on everyones updates. Seems like everyone is moving along. I can finally trigger tonight!!! Except I have to stay up until 11:45 and then wake up at 5 again tomorrow for BW and US. I seriously think they should have put a tap in my arm for blood. I had monitoring done everyday since sunday. I am excited I get to sleep in a little the day of my retrieval. I dont need to be at the surgery center until 10:15.

So today is day 8 of shots, had US and they counted 14 follicles , out of those 3 were 11 mm, 3 were 10, 4 were 9, 1 was 8 and another one was 7. I'm happy to see a good amount, hopefully they will grow more. Meds stayed the same. Going back Sunday, they said possible ER on Tuesday.

Stimms last night were a little nerve-wracking. I had done them before, so knew what to expect in terms of the actual shots themselves, but of course, just worried I would mess it up somehow. Mixing the menopur is always intimidating. Tonight I killed it though, even though we were out at our friends place. Go me! haha.
I start ganirelex Saturday, and then a progress check-up on Monday. I can't believe we're moving along so quickly. Time is flying by.
In other news. DH got a new job today! Yahoo! We'll be moving to Houston though. We'll be in NY probably for another 3-6 months, so if we're successful I'll at least get to relax for the first trimester which is nice, and have the move done before I'm in my 3rd which is also nice. Win win.

Welcome @BingALing23 !!! You and I seem to be on very close cycles. Last time I stimmed I think for about 12 days because I wasn't responding as well as hoped. This time I'm gunning for 10! haha... things never go as planned though, so I try and just be as flexible as possible!

AFM - I had my baseline this morning so now waiting for the clinic to call me back this afternoon with my stim protocol. DH is away this weekend, so I'm nervous to do the injections myself. I did them mostly myself during my IUI cycles, but this for some reason makes me more nervous. Maybe it's because I am expecting a lot more injections, so I'm psyching myself out. I also realized that my ER might be around a friend's wedding. It's DH's best friend getting married, so he can't miss the wedding. I may have to if my ER happens to be on the same day, or close to it and I'm in pain. Trying not to worry too much about this and just see what happens.

It does to seem never ending at times and I just want to hurry up and transfer already!! Has anyone had experience with mock cycles before? Would love some insight!

Day 5 Blastocysts: 5 BB, 1 AB, all normal from PGS
FET date: May 11, '16; transferred 1 AB embryo
First beta: May 23, '16: 998!! Second: May 25, '16: 1648

@dragonfaerie oh girl, I feel like I'm reading about myself in your post. Sometimes it's hard to be all positive and you have to let it all out. I hope you feel better now and glad DH was there through it all. I have these breakdowns from time to time and it feels like a weight is taken off me. Hope you're in a better place today

@jenn6782 I just had a mock transfer on Tuesday. Essentially the RE practices getting the cath to your uterus. Mine pretty much did another saline sono so he could make sure everything looked good after over stimming. So yea, cath and the lovely u/S wand to make sure he can to to where he needs to! No worse than a pap.
Beta 5/9/2016 BFP!!
Embryo transfer scheduled for April 28, 2016 and beta test May 9, 2016 (day after Mother's Day!)
Transfer Meds include: Lupron Depot (4/1), Minivelle Patch (every 3rd day), Estradiol (3x daily), Amoxicillin, Progesterone in Oil, Methylprednisonlone. Lovenox and baby asprin added after transfer.
3/22/16 - Sono Saline ultrasound cyst to be aspirated on 4/1/16 if not cleared up by 3/29 US - It cleared on its own
Retrieval 3/4/16 - 26 eggs retrieved, 23 mature, 20 fertilized, 14 embryos currently frozen
Starting IVF Stims on +/- Feb 22, 2016
HSG scheduled for 1-26-16 - All clear "beautiful uterus" (though inverted)
Switched clinics and now prepping for IVF in February / March
