Re: FFCF!
I have spent the past three nights making a registry on Babies-r-us. I have to do it all online because I won't be back to the states until a couple days before. My showers are still over two months away but I got really excited and couldn't stop....
I got into this big discussion with some friends the other day. I had no idea people actually sit on public toilet seats. (And they don't always put toilet paper down!?) I've always been a "squatter" and thought that was the norm and I guess just never thought about it. I didn't realize I'd be the odd man out in this discussion. TMI convo but I was shocked and they found it hilarious! I realized once my bump starts getting bigger I'll have to sit and it's kind of freaking me out.
And @Hannah0726 - I might be a "sitter" - I have never mastered the squat. I always end up peeing on myself or all over the toilet when I try. and I gave up using tp as a barrier years ago. I figure it's a butt... there's gonna be germs there no matter what and I'm not really touching it or anything
I sit when I go to people's houses and the more I thought about it, their toilet seats might be "dirtier" than public seats since public places are cleaned everyday.
I've also never thought I would catch a disease or anything. I just always thought....butt germs? Is that a thing?
Lol and I'm a wiper and a sitter. If it makes any difference. I get more grossed out by the door handle after I have washed my hands.
Do people usually do two registries like with weddings or just stick to one? Target would be my other option.
I also used "Lucie's List" to help make my registry. She had a lot of great suggestions.
Well my BFF (who is 30 weeks pregnant) had a really cute dress on at her sisters baby show last week and I told her I thought it was super cute, and she told me it was a LulaRoe dress called the "Julia". I looked into it and got my first one and OMG IT'S SO CUTE! It's stretchy so it looks so cute with a bump! Now I want more!!!
Anyone else tried LulaRoe?

I hate public restrooms. I'm a toilet paper barrier person - it may not be doing much, but it at least makes me feel better - and a foot flusher. As for the sinks, if they aren't automatic, I turn them off with a paper towel after washing. I also open the door with a paper towel whenever possible. And then I use hand sanitizer. As you might imagine, taking my 3 year old to a public restroom is my own personal nightmare.
Side note - after typing that, I realize I might be insane.
Anyone else??

As far as what to choose, I would change the search to "top rated" or "best selling" and go from there. Plus Lucie's List website was helpful with just knowing the necessities.
It is overwhelming at first but I did for an hour each night and would add and delete things. I'm sure I'll change things over the next couple months!
I'm also not going to register in a store though. I would assume they also give you a checklist or something? Then I would probably just go aisle by aisle.

FFFC: I bought a little pint of salted caramel swirl ice cream fully intending to share it with hubby but, then I hid it behind some frozen veggies and have been slowly eating it one spoonful at a time.
I would just pick one thing to focus on at a time. And know that there isn't any perfect item and you wont fully know what YOU need until the baby is here.
