    @Sparty18  sorry for CD 1 :(

@leksil What thermometer are you using? Those are crazy differences. I used a regular thermometer from Walmart and got temps like that, but once I got the Mabis BBT (recommended by everyone here) I have a much nicer chart.

@slradske0626 Welcome! Fx you are okay without the BD last night.

@BecauseLove you have a fantastic point there, testing everyday from day 1. Like seriously. It would reduce the anticipation perhaps of these mid TWW days. I vote for doing that next time.

@khbear @KarliQ88 yay nurses! I know there's more of us around. I'm ICU.

@babymish FX for you it's positive when you get back!!! I'm sorry you have to go through the torture of not testing though :(

    Month/Cycle: 1/2

    CD/DPO: 19/7

    Timing: -3, -2, -1, O, +1

Testing: guys.. I gave in today.. So of course BFN cuz it's so flippin early, but I thought I could be special and I wanted to tell my doctor today if it was positive.

R/R/CS: I have zero symptoms today.. The complete opposite.. What?? I wish I could use the "find charts like mine" since I'm on the trial VIP membership, but apparently you have to actually pay for it to use that function.
Another rant, FF took away "pregnancy points" for me :( what's everyone up to? I had 13, down to 11 now.

I have my endo appt today to find out my hbA1c. I'll keep y'all updated.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?
I loved biology and natural sciences. And I became a nurse! I secretly wish I was a meteorologist though, flyimg airplanes through hurricanes. Or a volcanologist. Don't have to deal with people, only angry volcanoes.

    Edits to add replies.

    Timing: -4, -2, -1, +1

R/R/CS: DH has switch shifts (again!) and is now working nights.    I couldn't fall asleep last night until almost midnight.  He got home this morning at 3ish.  I'm a fairly light sleeper and tend to wake up when he gets home (his uniform has SO much Velcro and he is NOT a quiet person!).  It took me a while to fall back to sleep.  I'm exhausted.  I could barely wake up when my alarm went off.  This morning has me like...

Math!!  I have my Bachelor's in Accounting and my Master's in Business (specialization in Finance) and I'm an accountant for local government, so yes.  I originally planned on being a high school math teacher (I also have my Bachelor's in Social Sciences with a concentration in Education) but I got my foot in the door with the County and it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.  So, I went back to school and I'm glad I did.

Its like 6 dollars on Amazon. It's really quiet to me and doesn't wake my DH up. Especially if you hide under the blanket trying to make your temperatures warmer. Haha.

  • @nwegman7878 actually, as soon as I typed that I was thinking that maybe I would want to test before Nashville so I don't feel guilty about drinking. Sooo maybe that test date will change to 9dpo. We'll see...
@becauselove that's an interesting strategy...maybe testing everyday post-O would make the actual act of testing less anxiety-provoking since it's just part of the routine. Hmm...
@babymish sorry about the BFN :-(
@sugargirl1019 sorry about the BFN, but (as you know), you're still super early! I have never used FF VIP--I think it would make me too crazy. And I would waste lots of time.
@Heatho620 I'm jealous of your weather today!! We might get 3 inches of snow and I might cry. Also, I always just figured the "rave" section of r/r/cs was where you could include what you're happy about.
  • Month/Cycle: 5/5

Testing: BFN 11 DPO, not bothering anymore. AF should be here today/tomorrow

R/R/CS: My temps look the exact same as every other BFN month so for the first time ever I'm not tempted to POAS every day. Boo.

GTKY: I loved English even though it was a lot of work. I'm glad I enjoyed reading books, language/communication is so important when you want to be right all the time.

  • *question in RRCS*

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

CD/DPO: 30 (it's probably really CD1 for me...we'll see what I decide, but I already answered today's GTKY in the TWW here yesterday, so...)

    Timing: was awesome :'(

Testing: if AF doesn't come in full force, maybe, but I doubt it...

R/R/CS: question - what is the line for spotting? I know "if it's enough to fill a pad or tampon" but define fill.....as in I have a pantiliner in and wouldn't go with nothing, but it's also not "filling" anything, even the super thin pantiliner....so I don't know whether to call this CD1 (usually I only have 1 day of spotting and then AF comes full force, but it's still just spotting a second day...I think...)
Today was a bit rough for a few small reasons that just added up. But I'm at home in leggings and a sweatshirt now, so that helps ;)

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at? in highschool - math and music....in elementary school probably science. I started liking math more in grade 8.  I'm a math teacher, so yes, although I wish I did more chem.. I took it to first year intending it to be my second teachable subject, but for scheduling (read: lazy) purposes I changed to computer science instead (I hate computers.....seriously.) oh well.

    Month/Cycle:  5/5

    CD/DPO:  30/15?

    Timing: -3, O, +1 ?

    Testing:  all BFNs

R/R/CS:  is it possible I never ovulated or ovulated on day 18ish or 21ish instead?  I've played around with all the methods on FF. If I remove both positive opks, I get dotted CH for CD 15 with FAM, no CH with Advanced and CH for CD 21 with Research. My opks weren't positive positive, but they were the most positive I get on wondfos. I'm so confused this cycle.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?

I liked all sorts of things. I was into writing, Spanish, psychology, history, geology. I really just liked school in general. I wish I were more focused on things. I majored in psychology, legal studies, and political science and use none of that in my current job.

  • @QueenSunscreen I don't think so.. There are no true temp shifts after your original O day. CM may have been able to help clarify. If CD 1 comes, then try to chart CM, OPKs and BBT. Its like the trifecta of confirming O.

General me: So I overlaid my chart from last cycles chart and my temps now are higher than when they were just before the temp drop last cycle. Cue the BSC. I WILL find something to hold onto!

  • @Sugargirl1019 I don't track CM because I never really have anything noticeable. I drink a ton of water all the time and don't take any medications that may affect it - although I started claritin for my allergies after I thought I O'd this month and I've noticed more CM than usual. Super weird.  We've been using preseed to help with my usual lack of CM.

I also don't track CP because I can never reach it. I've tried all the recommended positions but I can never get it.  Idk if that has to do with my LEEP a year and a half ago or the fact that I have shortish fingers or both.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 25/unknown

    Timing: seemed okay

Testing: BFN this morning. I'm counting myself out and just waiting for AF.

R/R/CS: I'm trying to divert my sadness into something more productive, so I've decided to try and lose some weight, and just ordered a BBT from Amazon so I can temp properly next cycle and more accurately track O.

  • @nwegman7878 it's been increasing from 10, up to 13 last month. But today turned into cd1!  I'm actually relieved I think. I had zero af symptoms - I usually have a migraine or two, cramping, sore boobs and spotting for a day or two. This month, it was entirely unannounced. Whatev. On to cycle 6.

@leksiL - Ah, sorry, yeah I'm one of the pretty much exclusively mobile bumpers!! Yknow to be totally honest, I'm not convinced there is an O day on there yet. It's hard to say. That's a difficult chart. It almost looks like, if you jump up tomorrow morning, today might even be your O day. I could be wrong here. Also, your temps are so rocky it makes me question your thermometer. I wonder if the battery is dying.

@nwegman7878 - Thanks for the input! I do feel like it could go either way. This is a funky cycle. I feel like no matter what I hit FW at least twice, so I'm trying to not be concerned about it. I'm just going to become a lunatic when FF tells me I'm late if I'm really not because it has the O day wrong. ;)

@Sugargirl1019 - whoop! I'm an OB nurse on an LDRP unit (so we do antepartum, labor & delivery, postpartum mamas and nursery - along with occasional sick babies that aren't sick enough to ship), but I kept up my cross training to the telemetry unit. If I hadn't gone to OB, I wanted to do the unit!

@Buthayna - Get ready for a tmi question - how long can you go without changing the liner? Have you had to change it at all? If you have to change it (not just you changed it because it's sweaty and gross), then it's probably CD 1.

ETA @KarliQ88 - L&D/postpartum/nursery! It's an LDRP unit so we do all of it. I think catch labs are wicked cool and at least where I live the hours are better than 12 hr shifts, so I can't argue with that!

@khbear - thanks for answering! It sounds like I haven't been too out of line hanging around here another day, GTKY preference or not....I haven't had to change the liner at all for fear of leakage...just for hygenic reasons... which is nice since I'm a teacher and don't use the washroom during the school day (except for days when actual AF days when I have a tampon in and I'm scared of TSS so I make myself have time to change it in the middle of the day to be safe).

ETA: @nwegman7878for some reason it didn't notify me of your tag, but I just saw it scrolling through. Thanks for replying! I'm in Sweden, so it's already almost bedtime and still no AF so it looks like CD1 definitely isn't today. Thanks again for taking the time to reply!

@heatho620 I've been invited to a bachelorette party next weekend, and I haven't RSVP'd because I'm testing 2 days before, and I just can't fully commit!

I would also just like to say that this wait is probably the worst anticipation I have had in my whole life.  It ranks right up there with a kid counting down to Christmas, or, for me at least, it reminds me of when I tried out for cheerleading in middle school, and we had to wait a week for the team to be posted on the bulletin board outside of the gym.... **BSC rant over**

And I'm SO happy, guys! My HbA1C is 6.2%! That's the lowest I've ever been in the past 10 years. It feels so good to know all my hard work has paid off.

Wow, that is a great result!  You must've worked very hard to have what would appear to be the HbA1C of a non-diabetic!!  Congratulations!

I have Type 2 and am going to get mine done next week, for the first time in more than a year.  I am fortunate that I was diagnosed before it got too out of control and I'm able to do diet and exercise.  Normally I am in the 5s, but I'm nervous because I've been pretty bad over that time.  I hope the improvements I've made recently have helped.  You're proof that hard work pays off :)

  • @mrsdee15 I used the Period Tracker app, it shows up as P. D. on my phone.  I logged when the first day of my period was, and then the last day of my period (3/4-3/8 respectively) Then, I believe it was the 12th, was the first day of my fertile window, and then they had my ovulation day marked as 3/15, with the fertile window ending on the 18th.

I have always had very regular cycles.  Never missed a period, never been late by more than 1 day. And I know you also can't track ovulation by symptoms, but on 3/15, my CM was thick (I guess that's how you would describe it?)

Thank you! Fx you are under 6.0% ;) It does feel good to be in the "pre-diabetic" range, considering my body does not make a single drop of insulin and is at the mercy of what insulin I DO take from the outside, and what I eat. I wish I could be in the 5s! But I'd have too many dangerous lows. I already have a few we are trying to correct with basal rates changes.

Dear diary post, skip if you want.
Mini rant and idk what brought this on: I was sharing with a group of people that my lowest had been 6.3 and I was working to get back around there (I was very excited and enthusiastic) and their faces fell and they said "..... oh. 6.3? That's so high still...."

    **TW obscene language**

NQPS,XMSOSKDJD FUCK all you!! You don't know what it's like being a Type 1! This is really freaking good! What that the hell is wrong with you??

But I didn't say that. I was so hurt! So upset that they thought I wasn't doing a good enough job, and that no one shared my excitement for success. That they didnt think I was successful. But I know Type 1's and Type 2 are completely different and have different challenges and also different A1cs.

Like when my OB was disappointed with my A1C of 6.3 and said "we really prefer you to be under 6.0..." Fuck that shit.

Thankfully my endocrinologist straightened me out and brought me out of that depression and self-loathing. He said 6.3 was a great number for me to be at as long as I can control spikes. Spikes is what hurts the baby, not a general average blood sugar. Blah. I love my endo, his NP and educator can deliver my baby and I'd be satisfied with that lol. They are one of my biggest support groups and I'm so blessed to have found them! Sorry this turned into a dear diary. Forgive me. But this is why I've started a Type 1 Diabetes journey-to-get-pregnant type blog, so other people don't feel completely defeated and destroyed when someone tells them their great control isn't good enough because they don't understand what being a Type 1 is like.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?  In school I loved math and ended up with an economics and business degree.  Math is kinda part of my career. I'm not a mathematician but part of my job is managing budgets, working with finances, assessing net worth, creating various stats/metrics for my department etc. so math always comes in handy!

  • @LeksiL I've never been to Europe, but I'm dying to go there to see all of the art/history/architecture.

@aliciabhen Sorry for the BFN and all the disappointment that brings. Hugs.

@PepperAT I hate going in for annual exams. Good luck!

    @slradske0626 @hippiegirl884 Welcome!

@linzrunz My H also works nights and also makes the MOST NOISE EVER while undressing/making breakfast/getting ready for bed, so I feel your pain.

@Buthayna I would count that as spotting. I don't call CD1 until I have to use a tampon. I usually have a day of light spotting before CD1 where I use a pantyliner.

@sugargirl1019 Congrats on the good test results!

@sldp123 @mrsdee15 Thanks for the CS! I am beyond anxious to test. We'll see what tomorrow's temp brings...Trying to hold out for Saturday though!

@BecauseLove haha We will see how patient I am tomorrow morning ;)

  • @khbear thanks for the advice! I have ordered a new thermometer. If O is this week I am timing things well anyway, just in case. It would make more sense for this week to be O week CM-amount-wise. Who knows maybe it will take a few months for everything to straighten out.

@Heatho620 @AMGreely  I wouldn’t hesitate to have a craft beer or margarita. I think there are lots of vitamins or antioxidants ;) I am a bad influence! I get it though, seriously. We wanted to celebrate getting a contract on a house and I was going to get a bottle of sparkling wine, but you kind of have to drink the whole bottle when you do that so just didn’t.

@thj101 could you go and not drink? I had someone not drinking at mine to keep us all in line. Doesn’t sound like the most fun thing to do but if you are good friends it would be sad to miss it!

@sugargirl1019 I don’t know what that means but it sounds good, I’m sorry people are assholes AND you have adorable bunny pics!!

@mrsdee15 I am currently reading the Outlander novels, but my top three are Herman Wouk’s Winds of War/War and Remembrance, Katherine by Anya Seton, and Shogun by James Clavel.

  • @mrsdee15 - Thanks for the input! A couple of days ago, I was like nah no way I O'd that early! But now I really am thinking it's plausible. My CM pattern was funky, but I will say one of my ~secondary~ signs was on point for CD 11... I was supah horny! Hahaha.

@BecauseLove - just like normal! Unless it did something weird to my CM pattern like give me extra days of EWCM. If it is the culprit for my funky pattern, I'm going to start it earlier next cycle so it gets more extra days on the WTO side of things, like maybe a couple of days after AF leaves. Just drink extra water if you do it!
