Hi All,

I've been stalking these discussion boards for awhile now and finally got up the courage to join.  Just being able to read all of your stories has made me feel comforted and not alone in this crazy process.

I have two sons from a previous marriage and then 3 years ago I met an amazing man and we married in June of 2015.  He is wonderful to my boys and treats them as his own.  He is 8 years younger and has no biological children. 

After TTC for 6 months we met with an RE (due to my age - I am 39).  We both checked out fine and they have chalked it up to unexplained infertility...although I'm sure my age has a bit to do with it. 

He is a very traditional man, so having to do multiple IUI's and now on to IVF has been a hard pill for him to swallow.  Despite this he has been very supportive.  Because this is his first experience TTC, I have tried to shield him from much of the craziness that goes in my head.  This road has not been the path that he expected and I'm trying to not add to his disappointment or trepidation throughout this process.

With that said, I am excited to be able to share, sympathize and most importantly EMPATHIZE with all of you.  Over the past few weeks I have watched how you all listen, support and uplift each other.  You may not realize that your kind words and stories have effects beyond the discussion boards you participate in...Those, like myself, who have lurked in the wings are grateful for your comments and stories that have provided support.

Again, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to share with you all in this unfortunate "adventure," but I look forward to all of us finding our successes in a BFP!

    Hello, BingALing23.  You are very sweet, and I'm glad to be going through this journey, however unfortunate, with such good people. Lurking gave me the courage to share my story, as well, because I felt so much understanding and support from other members' stories. Good luck to you.

    @BingALing23 Welcome to our community!  Not sure what I would do without the lovely ladies here.  I see in your signature that you're hoping for a retrieval on 3/30, how exciting!  Are you planning for a fresh or frozen transfer?  Hope all goes well!

    We are in the middle of our first IVF cycle. Today was day 7 of stims. I go tomorrow morning for BW & US. At the last appointment they saw 9 total...I'm hoping a few more pop up this time. The plan is to do a fresh transfer.
