Re: TWW Thursday

  • Month/Cycle: 9/9

    CD/DPO: 28/8

    Timing: -5,-3,-1

Testing: Probably tomorrow if my temp is still up. It's early but I have no willpower.

R/R/CS: My temp was exactly the same as yesterday, so that made me nervous. But I took it again right after and it was .02 higher, so I guess maybe it's believable? I've been having cramping off and on so I have very little hope, but like DH said yesterday, I never have hope. But, I've always been right so far, so.....

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at? Math. I have my master's in accounting and I'm a financial analyst so yes, it became part of my career. I wish I would have focused more on chemistry. I liked it but I didn't apply myself like I could have. My plan was to be a pharmacist, but I decided it was too hard after one year. My life would have been much easier financially if I had stuck it out.

  • Where is everyone?! I am here! :)

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO:  20/9

Timing: Ya'll know my timing by now lol.

Testing: Wanting to test right this second, but.... waiting until 3/30-3/31.

R/R/CS:  Since all I did this month was use the app to track AF, and O, I'm now wondering how accurate that is since I didn't temp/chart... I guess we will find out next week... I had some slight nausea last night, but I think that could have been from googling and reading people's stories of how they had nausea early on before even getting a bfp... So I'm going to chalk that up to osmosis.  Yes osmosis nausea. I'm officially going nuts.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?  Ha this is hilarious... My favorite subject in school was history.  And I'm still pretty much a history buff/nerd today... Oddly enough, my worst subject was math, and I graduated college with a finance degree... My parents thought it was hilarious that that's what I graduated with because I struggled with math so much growing up.

  • Month/Cycle: 3/2 ATTC (11/6 NTNP)

    CD/DPO: 26/10

    Timing: -5, -2, -1, O

Testing: I got the highest temp I've ever had, and tested this morning, BFN. My temp drop will probably start tomorrow.

R/R/CS: Super bummed today. I was so excited about my early ovulation, that I guess I got my hopes up in general. At least I have a few days to get over it before Easter (which will probably be CD1). I thought about not even posting in TWW since I'm such a Debbie Downer today, but I figured if anybody understands, it's you guys.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?
History! I got my Bachelor's in it, and then totally switched gears for my Master's. I have always wanted to be better at math!
  • Month/Cycle:  8/8

    CD/DPO:  22/9

    Timing:  -4, -2, -1, +1

R/R/CS:  Getting my hair cut today (it's been far too long) so I'm disproportionately happy about that.  Also, in TTC news, my temp rebounded a little bit, so that's good I guess.

GTKY:  I loved English and History the most in high school.  Neither are significant parts of my degree (business).  I now wish that I had a different degree altogether, so there are definitely different subjects I wish I had focused on in College.

Science was my favorite and best. Specifically biology/wildlife sciences. I worked in the field for 6 years though I never got my degree (I went to culinary school... so I ended up cooking animals instead lol) I am planning to get my falconry license though because working with raptors (birds of prey) ended up being my specialty

  •  @sldp123, I hear you. I've been testing since 6dpo... I love math! I wish I had liked it/understood it better in high school. I ended up going into special education, and am getting my PhD now and I am loving my stats courses. It makes me wish I could have done something with stats for my career.

    Sorry for CD1, @Sparty18. :(

@thj101, I do that all the time with the SS. I just try and remind myself, if I can't turn a test then something else is making me feel this... Even though that doesn't stop the crazy ;)

@houseofsetters, I so so so hear you. And I wish I could give you a real hug and we could sit on the couch and eat pizza and cry together haha I had my second big drop in temp this am, so I'm sitting here patiently waiting for AF. But I'm stubborn and am still posting here until she shows up. It's denial, really. Hugs.

    Month/Cycle: 5

    CD/DPO: 27/12

    Timing: was great

Testing: I didn't today, but every day since 6dpo (yes you read that right...) has been a BFN. Major temp drop this am, so I'm waiting on AF now.

R/R/CS: The usual, but I'm trying to stay positive today!

GTKY: I hated math in high school, but love it today. I wish I knew I could be good at it back then. I may have found myself in a much more lucrative field ;)

  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 27/8

    Timing: -3,-1,+1

    Testing: Starting tomorrow with ICs

R/R/CS: Stabby pinpointed cramps last night (7dpo) on the side I Oed. Really quick, not like AF... but trying really really hard to not let myself think anything of it. And even though I Oed late this cycle, I'm still having a hard time trusting the idea that my cycle will not end at the same time as it "normally" does, at 28 days. FF thinks it's going to be a 35-day cycle though so, fingers crossed.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at? A tie between math and foreign language. I'm a software engineer, which is a nice blend of math and language, so I guess you could say they both did. I don't think there's anything I wish I had focused more on, maybe less. I was on academic team and often would study literature and history and would just rote memorize things... things I don't really remember anymore. It helped my team but it is useless today.

  • Month/Cycle: 5/4

    CD/DPO: 34/11

    Timing: -5,-3-2,0

    Testing:I have been!

R/R/CS: well this isn't really a rant but I am confused. My LP is usually 8-9 days, 8 last cycle and I'm on 11 now!? Wtf!?!? I haven't been temping so idk what's going on past like 5dpo but holy cow I'm confused. I test every morning just so I know if I can drink or maybe know what the heck is going on, and nothing! Not even an evap nothing!

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?
i was an art/music girl... And I'm glad that's what I focused on, would like to take some more art classes some day just to keep active besides what I do in my career

@sldp123 I'm planning on waiting until Saturday to test, but I also have no willpower. FX for you!

    @Sparty18 Sorry about CD1 :( Hugs <3

@thj101 My first month off BC, I also used a period tracking app (I used Ovia) and didn't temp. Looking back, I think that it probably had my fertile/O days off by a week. No way of knowing for sure, of course, but I feel so much less BSC temping and actually knowing that I had timing right compared to that first month when I had no idea what was going on!

@houseofsetters Sorry about the BFN :( Hugs <3 Also - cool on the history degree! History has always been super fascinating to me. My degree required three basic art history classes (BFA degree), and I ended up taking three more on top of that as electives because I was so interested.

Testing: Trying to hold out until April 1st, 11DPO

R/R/CS: Third high temp and CH today. I just started my progesterone vaginal suppositories again (gross...) and have decided not to temp to reduce stress. Last cycle the medication gave me an artificial triphasic pattern so I'm not getting my hopes up again.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at? Practical math application was always something I enjoyed. In college, I majored in Actuarial Science and Finance with an Economics minor which I loved. I didn't go on to be an actuary or an underwriter like I anticipated, but I still use a lot of complex math and excel program writing in my current position.

  • sldp123 FX that your temps stay up. And you have greater willpower than me. I usually give in at 8DPO.

thj101 Welcome to the BSC that is the TWW. Google is the absolute worst when it comes to SS. Stay strong.

houseofsetters I'm sorry you're having a rough day. FX that your temp stays high for tomorrow.

H4aPartyof5 Enjoy your hair cut. I know if always makes me feel better when I first get it done.

Lecool Haha I'm always afraid to start the threads, mostly because my GTKYs are terrible and boring. Minus the furry babies one, that was awesome.

    R/R/CS: no rants today...maybe later!

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at? My favorite subject was biology. I became a nurse which i guess is close to doing something biology focused.

  • Month/Cycle:  6

Testing:  I tested this morning. I don't know why. I think because I had a new bag of tests and I just needed to pee on something. I am a crazy person.

R/R/CS:  I had cramping last night  while I was in bed.  I am symptom spotting like a lunatic....at 3 DPO:/

nwegman7878 Woah, I'm jealous of your timing. Wish OH and I were a bit younger so we had the stamina to do it that frequently. Even every other day for us has been tiring.

QueenDaenerysT -- were you on BC before TTC? Wonder if your body just took a long time to fully do the hormone detox and your LP is getting back to normal because of that?
  • *CS request!**
I have been away because totally stressed through home buying negotiations. We have an accepted offer and things are starting to calm down!

    Month/Cycle: 2 / 1 or 2? (see below)

    CD/DPO: CD 43 or 15 / DPO ?? either 7 or 0?

    Timing: almost EOD

    Testing: who freaking knows :)

R/R/CS: Can anyone look at my chart and tell me anything?? My temperature taking skills are awful. We switched to summer blankets which are a great, but keep waking up really early and my stupid thermometer beeps and wakes up DH. This morning it didn't work at all.

CS Request - trying to figure out O day. **TMI notice** ALSO, I never really had any flow this month. I stopped BC mid-cycle last month. What I thought was CD1 I had a giant clot and then little spots for 4 days, all brown. I am still counting it though, so I think I am on CD15 and based on CM O'd yesterday or today, but FF says I O'd on CD 7 because of the temps (which are erratic). Should I just give up on charting until next month? Any ideas?

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at? HISTORY. Loved it. I ended up going to law school and loved law too so it's totally my career. But I would have been a professional historian maybe. Nowadays I only non-work read for escape so read a lot of historical novels :)

My favorite subject in HS was Psychology.  I went on to get my degree in Psych.  I don't use it professionally at all. Haha. I've always liked math/science more than I liked anything that involved reading/writing.  That's still holds true today and I'm ok with that. Haha.

  • @thj101  don't worry we all go BSC sometimes

Coming off BC I had some many symptoms it was driving me crazy. I did it two months in a row - first going off Mirena, and transitioning to the patch and then six weeks later giving up the patch as well. I am seriously considering never going on BC again! Or getting the copper IUD.

@Lecool I LOVED my art history classes. So interesting, wish I could retake them now! When we went to Florence this summer I was so excited but we were only there for a short time and did not get to spend enough time looking at art - need to go back!

@ladystinson WOW that is so awesome. I had no idea there is such a thing as a falconry license. My cousin is an ornithologist and took me around the NY museum of natural history when i was a kid and showed me all the birds there in the back it was so cool. Are you going to give hunting tours to people? What do you do with a falconry license?

  • All morning I've been looking at pregnancy charts with a temp drop around 12dpo. Because I am a speshul snowflake, guys. I am.

  • HurricaneAmelia Noooo....be strong. I need a cycle buddy to keep me from POAS. Don't be en enabler. Lol.

MrsJ2410 I wish you luck. It wasn't easy or pleasant.

canavara Trust me, even thought we're "young", our stamina and ability to BD that often is shot. The last 3 days took a lot of coaxing and taking things slow due to sensitivity on both of our ends.

leksiL I hate to say it, but this month charting might just be a bust. Not to discourage you but after coming off of BC it can take quite a while for your body to regulate and you may have some weird cycles. I'd also suggest picking up some Wondofo OPKs so you can test a ton for cheap during your whole cycle.

R/R/CS: Guys that BFN this morning killed me. I know it's only 9dpo, but I had unreasonably high hopes because of all the SS I've been doing, and because of my beautiful chart (which remains beautiful this morning). And even because of my crazy cousins and their weird pregnancy predictions this past weekend. I know that a 9dpo negative doesn't mean I'm out, but man it hurt. I've been in the dumps all morning. Only good thing I have to say is yay 3 day weekend! But even that hasn't done the job to cheer me up yet.

R/R/CS: Terrible mood this morning, not sure if started by my LH surge ending or life stuff.  My problem employee (who we essentially have our ducks in a row to terminate) keeps finding ways to extend their employment by a few more weeks.  Most recent one happened yesterday.  Guess who has to perform daily check-ins and numbers reviews with them per request by my boss, even though I have 11 other people I have to supervise as well as do my own work?  On top of that, the discriminatory North Carolina bill passing was the first article I woke up to.  Hopefully it will get struck down swiftly.

I was that nerd that loved school.  Could have easily gone into the sciences, maths, or English.  Ended up getting a BFA in graphic design and drawing while also taking a bunch of computer classes.   I currently am a manager at a software company.  My only regret is not studying abroad.

R/R/CS: I feel pretty great today... so of course the crazy in me is completely disregarding the fact that my diet and exercise have been on point this week and immediately going to the reason I feel great is because I'm not pregnant. I have tomorrow off and we're planning some home updates this weekend (installing hardware on our cabinets) so I'm just trying to focus on that and the fact that cooler weather is back for a few days. (don't throw things at me, it was getting WAY too hot too fast down here which means a summer of terrible mosquitos)

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?
I didn't really have one until college and then my favorite class was the History of Rhetoric in Western Culture - super nerdy I know, but I totally get Plato and Socrates and debating them in class was thoroughly enjoyable. At my company I am the Director of Operations, so yeah, I definitely don't use it, unless you count the discussions at exec meetings.

My favorite class in high school was AP Literature & Composition. I loved writing, but I eventually stopped writing because I got into the medical field and became a nurse. I enjoyed science too, but writing was my passion at the time. I wish I was better at math.
  • Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD/DPO: 19/4

    Timing: -3 -1 0

Testing: Not until AF is late, I really don't like seeing a BFN

R/R/CS: I am irrationally nervous about going to the doctors today for my annual exam, this is a new doctor and I haven't had an annual exam in forever. I have a fear of going to the doctors, I need to get over this. I am trying to remain calm, but inside I am freaking the F out!

GTKY: I definitely should have focused in school more. I didn't really have a favorite subject, but I did enjoy English.

  • First time joining in on these! I figured this was a good place to get more involved in TB

    Month/Cycle: 9/9

    CD/DPO: 18/1

    Timing: -5, -2

Testing: I really only ever tested the first few months of NTNP, and getting those BFN was really discouraging. I don't plan to do it again unless my temp doesn't start dropping like 18 DPO. Getting my hopes up to be disappointed doesn't like fun :(

R/R/CS: I really wanted to BD last night thinking that O was coming really soon, but DH wasn't into it. So of course, my temp went up this morning so now I'm kicking myself for not doing it last night. Hopefully we're not out for this month.

GTKY: I was all about ELA in school, writing papers, grammar, reading, I loved it all! I'm almost finished with my Elementary Education degree with a Language Arts (and Math) endorsement. So yes, my career will definitely include my favorite school subject! Now I'm just excited to graduate and start that career!
  • ** C/S please! **

This is a really neat GTKY!

    Month/Cycle: 4/5

    CD/DPO: 19/8? See CS

    Timing: Fair

    Testing: 11-12 DPO, maybe Easter.

R/R/CS: Okay, so this was my first cycle using Mucinex during FW lead up time, so I'm not sure I trust my CM for predicting O. I've asked about this a few times this cycle, but I'm asking again with a further along chart. The screen shot is FAM mode. If I switch to Advanced mode, I get dotted CH on CD 14 instead. What do you all think? I don't know if I can trust the EWCM due to the Mucinex. (btw, I always have rocky and high temps during AF, so that early part of my cycle is pretty par for the course.)

GTKY: Yknow, I really enjoyed science/biology I'm high school and middle school, and then very much enjoyed it in college. I'm a nurse now. But I think my FAVORITE classes have all been in the social sciences. I had a blast in French and I totally loved history. In my spare time, I'm working on learning Spanish and I love to read historical fiction romance novels. So I turned my school interests more into hobbies instead of ways to make a living. Maybe one day I'll write a romance novel taking place in medieval Scotland. :D

@sldp123 - I enjoyed some of my math classes and for three years I did part time work as a math tutor on the side because of it. It's funny how those classes stay with you.

    @Sparty18 - sorry for CD1!

@houseofsetters - sorry for BFN! I wouldn't count you out yet!! A bachelors in history sounds like a really fun degree.

    @Lecool - that's a really neat career origin story!

@ladystinson - I veeeery much want to go learn about falconry. There's a place near by us that rescues birds of prey, and I thought it would be neat to volunteer there. No clue how I could convince someone to let me do that, though. I'm a nurse, which I personally feel like has crossover skills to like everything, but I think I'm biased. ;)

@wineo929 - I was always very good at math, but I wouldn't say I was interested in it. I tutored math on the side for extra cash in college and sometimes I wonder if I should've done a math degree for the extra money! I absolutely love my job now though, so I guess it worked out for the best.

@H4aPartyof5 - I love getting my hair done. I haven't had a professional cut in a couple of years!

@nwegman7878 - Get it girl!! That's a lot of hanky panky.

    @KarliQ88 - I'm a nurse, too! What field?

@leksiL - Can we see your chart?

    CD/DPO: 27/8

    Timing: -5, -4 ,-3 ,-1

Testing: I want to, but I'm going to try and hold out until Saturday or Sunday.

R/R/CS: So the last few days I've talked about my temperatures and how they've be extremely consistent since O.  And the pattern continues... they are holding! **and the BSC begins**  I went from fine to BSC overnight and the SS has begun....

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?  There isn't one thing that I absolutely loved more than others.  I was pretty good at all subjects in school and have a wide variety of interests. Which coincidentally still fits me.  I went the path of computer science and I'm happy with that, but I also could've been equally as happy in other career paths too.  I know, I'm an odd ball.

  • @sldp123 I have the same exact conversation with H every month. I tell him AF is on the way and he tells me that I don't know that. And I'm just like, I've had my period for 17 years, I know when it's coming.
    @sparty18 sorry about CD1.
    @houseofsetters Sorry about BFN.
@H4partyof5 new hair cut is always super exciting! Have fun.
@wineo929 sorry about the temp drop
@queendaenerysT hope you figure out what's going on soon! If nothing else, at least maybe your LP is lengthening.
@nwegman7878 good to see you over here!I'm trying to decide what I want to do about temping during this LP.
@karliq88 It will be nice to know either way before your vacation! Hopefully you will be celebrating on your trip. ;-)
@hurricaneamelia it is certainly difficult to keep the SS at bay no matter how many DPO.
@juliebeannn FX that temp is still up tomorrow!
@aliciabhen Sorry about BFN :-( Enjoy happy hour.
@thejerilu sorry about the frustration at work.
@pepperat good luck at the doctor! You'll be fine ;-)

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at? My favorite subject was Art (drawing classes specifically), but it is not a part of my career by any means. I took AP US and European History and did well, but I wish I remembered all the things I used to know!
  • NurseMarie9 Yay for CH. FX temps stay up.

PepperAT Sorry you're feeling anxious about the doctor. I'm sure all will go well.

    slradske0626 Welcome to the boards!

khbear I would say CD13 but it could go either way. I took Mucinex as well this cycle and my CM was adjacent to my O time.

l9i FX those temps stay high. Stay strong for us on the BSC.

felix08 Hey chart buddy! Glad you made it over here too. Hopefully you can help me keep my BSC in tact so I'm not POAS from 6DPO on. Although there's no way I'm going to make it until 13DPO.

R/R/CS: Feeling pretty good. The week and weekend are getting more and more full of meetings. Looking forward to some family time on Sunday going to an Easter Dinner Buffet.

    CD/DPO: 24/11

    Timing: very good

Testing: today BFN. I only brought a handful of amazon tests with me (questioning that now as I have a whole bag at home) but I'm officially out and that only thing I have left is a CBD+weeks which I won't waste. So no more testing till Saturday if my temp is up.

R/R/CS: my charts have always been spookily similar and have the classic bell shape in the TWW. Except this month which has a special mind-fuckary shape.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? Did it end up becoming part of your career? Anything you wish you focused on more or were better at?

I loved PE as I did gymnastics so I excelled the most in that class. Art & design came second but I didn't use it as part of my career. I wish now I'd had more of an interest in history then
