Pregnant after 35

Kicked out of WW.

For the past year I've been doing WW. I haven't lost much but I was close to being down 20 when I got pregnant.
I had a note from my OB about 2 months ago. Tonight I was told WW said even with a note I can't attend. I'm so bummed out. I am obese and this was helping.

I'm so sorry! That seems ridiculous that they would kick you out even with a note from your OB! There must be a lawsuit or something in the history there that makes them extra cautious. I hope you can find support elsewhere and continue to apply the principles that were working for you. Still. I'm sorry this happened to you. :(

That sucks! I agree that they must be doing it because of legal concerns. Does your OB have a nutritionist you can work with to help apply those things that worked for you with WW? Also, what do you think is most helpful for you? Is it the community or the recipes or something else? You can try to recreate those outside of WW. And we're here to support you too!

Ah man that must be tough to have your support group taken away :'(so sorry they kicked you out. What a bummer.

I'm sorry you lost your support system :-( That sucks!  I agree with @redheadbride15 - as your OB about a nutritionist.  And then postpartum you can hopefully transfer back into WW since it's working for you.

Can you follow on the app and not attend meetings? The app doesn't know if you're pregnant. Congrats on the weight loss and keep up the good work!

I agree with PP's -- keep up with whatever WW stuff that can be done on your own. And maybe you can find a friend or family member that also wants to lose weight. You could have your own "meetings" and weigh-ins.

I plan on following WW. I've been really good, 18 weeks and gained 4 1/2 lbs. I just liked how easy it was to keep track of my food/points with the app. But I'm not going to pay $20 a month for an app.

i will still weight myself weekly and keeping track of it.

They don't want you concerned with weight loss during pregnancy, even though WW is more like a way of life and less like a diet.

@Boonhilde true. My OB would prefer I maintain but wasn't opposed to me losing. She said no more than 1 lb per week on average. She didn't even mind 2-3 lbs lost here and there but not consistent. I'm starting out about 50-60 lbs overweight.

@CarrieandRoy I just downloaded the app today. Without the WW app I didn't feel like I was watching enough or really see the general picture of how much I was eating.
