Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way?
How are you feeling? I feel really good minus the norm, lack of sleep and heartburn.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Growth scan at 36 weeks although I am incredibly lucky to have had a sonogram at every appointment this pregnancy. Tentative RCS is 4/21....yikes!
Rants/Raves/Questions: Purchasing remaining items needed for baby tomorrow. Hopefully that will help me feel like we are "ready" if that's even possible.
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way? The only camps I went to were christian summer camps. They were okay I guess. I preferred vacationing in MA for the summer when I was a teen, that was a blast. Fenway Park, the vineyard, Cape Cod, BBQ's, festivals....I really enjoyed those times.
How are you feeling? Really good! I get the occasional RLP when I sneeze without thinking about it, and the sciatica is off and on, but it's feeling better too.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Just counting down the days until my next appointment--a little over a week to go!
Rants/Raves/Questions: Not really. I'm just pretty excited to be getting closer and closer to the fun part of pregnancy. I am so anxious to feel baby moving, I can't wait for our anatomy scan at the end of April, I'm excited to find out if we are having a boy or a girl, I'm ready to get going on preparations! But, in the meantime, I'm glad that I'm feeling better and have more energy. As the weather gets nicer, I'm trying to just really savor my time with my son. I don't want to look back at this time and feel like I didn't make the most of our time together since I know it'll all change in big ways once baby arrives. I want to move into the phase of having two kiddos feeling good about this time with one. On the other hand, I need to be realistic. We're still gonna totally have veg days where I don't want to do anything. And that is OKAY. haha.
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way? For a long time growing up, we had a cabin that we shared with 4 other families, so our vacations were mostly to the cabin, or to visit family in Oregon. I have really fond memories of those times. Lots and lots of playing outside and getting filthy, roaming the woods, playing in the pond, going on hikes....stuff like that. By the time we were teenagers, we were ready for summers to be different and so my folks sold their share of the cabin. Then we started doing the occasional big trip together, or just kept busy with jobs, sports, etc. at home. I loved summers and still do! So glad I teach and still get them. I feel pretty fortunate.
@Wyattnash00 I miss it very much! Started going every summer after my sister moved there when I was 14. I continued to go every summer and winter until I was in my early twenties. Haven't been back since and I can't wait to go back. DH has never been.
How are you feeling? Generally pretty good although today I have vacillated between feeling tired and nauseous. I hope I'm not coming down with the sickness that has already made it's way around the office...
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) My next pre-natal appointment isn't until the middle of April. I'll have a glucose test and I'll get the first Rhogram shot. Everything has looked good on all of the scans and despite the fact that I now weigh 205# (up from 167# in October!!) my blood pressure is around 110/70 so that's good!
In other baby news, I saw her kick FROM THE OUTSIDE for the first time earlier this week. It wasn't anything huge, just a few little bump looking things on my bump that definitely had nothing to do with me! DH has been at a conference for the last week so I sent him a video... still waiting for him to respond to that one .
Rants/Raves/Questions: I STILL have wicked senioritis at work. I can't wait to just be done with this at least for a year or so. I am really ready to start the next chapter, but as I told Amy Bump when I saw her kick, "you aren't quite done yet so just hang in there until the end of June/beginning of July!" Ranting about this alleged Nor'easter snow storm we're supposed to get on Sun->Mon. Boo. I am already planning to take a day off work if it snows.
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way? Summer camp was a big part of my life as a kid. Every year until high school I went to Girl Scout camp in NH. Even though it was usually only for a week, it was so much fun, and I looked forward to it every year. We didn't do a whole lot of family vacations when I was a kid, but I would go away with my aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Sometimes we'd go hiking in NH or VT and sometimes we'd go to Maine and hang out with my cousins or go to York Beach. New England in summer is pretty awesome, especially if you know where all the little hide-aways are. I grew up right on the ocean, so I spent a lot of summers at my parents' house with my friends and cousins swimming, climbing trees, gardening, playing video games and riding my bike. I always loved the summer, but I actually loved starting school in the fall more. I liked school! My favorite season of the year is the transition from summer to fall and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fall. If only the days didn't get so short! Over the last 15 years or so, friends and I have done an annual camping/canoeing/drinking trip on the Saco River although the last couple of years we've avoided the "party-hardy" section of the river because we Danny Glovered (decided we were too old for that shit) and it's been a blast! We get a cheap camp spot and then rent canoes and kayaks, take our coolers and bathing suits and just paddle on! My friends still plan to do the weekend in July, and I am a little disappointed that I'll have to miss it this year (my first since I started the tradition!) but I'm happy for the reason! Since my EDD is July 6th, many people have said, "Oh you're getting the summer off!" Well, maybe not really "off" as in vacation but I am excited to try and get out in the yard and go for walks with LO and DH in the Blue Hills and down in Hull or Hingham this summer... if I can.
@createillumination thanks for starting the thread and great questions as always!
4 weeks and 4 days ( I think) First US not until April 7 but I was tracking ovulation so I'm pretty sure.
Feeling good so far. Just got my second beta back and numbers are doubling so feeling positive today :-)
No baby news yet, just trying to be patient for my ultrasound which is still 3 weeks away
Rants: My in-laws are talking like they want to move to our town. Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! I love that they are a plane ride away right now, ha ha, Im a terrible person. If they move near us I might loose it. Trying to find my happy place right now and not let it stress me out.
GTKY: I only did a summer camp through school (6th grade) once. Itw as super fun but I never got a chance to do it again. I love teh idea of a summer camp for our kids though. I think it would be so enriching.
How are you feeling? The sciatica was gone for about 4 full days, as the Chris said it would be, then came back full force Wednesday, of course when I felt great for those days I pushed my limits...ha, why not;) saw her again yesterday, hoping for a few extra days of relief this time.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) all went great last week with appointments, don't have another until 3/29
Rants/Raves/Questions: date night tonight with the hubs, man I'd love a glass of wine. I feel so close to the end of this pregnancy, but yet so far.
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way?
I'm one of those crazy girls that went to the same summer camp every summer, for 8 weeks. It was an all girls camp up in Maine, I want for 7 years starting at age 9. Looking back it was awesome for my mom, parents were divorced and she got a much needed break from my brother and I. He we to to all boys camp in Maine. But it was such an amazing way to learn independence at such a young age, made some of the best friends I still have. Plus in this day and age, with all the electronics I love that girls are still going, and have to fully unplug from the outside world for the summer and learn how to love life again...the old school way. I hope to send my kids to camp, my hubs wasn't a camper so I'm sure it won't be as long, but I just love the tradition.
@lillebowski23, had to chuckle about your 'summer off'! I too, love the transition from summer to fall in New England, just the best!
How are you feeling? I feel pretty good. Nauseated here and there. Yesterday I almost vomited while walking to pick up my preschooler, but I managed to keep it down. I haven't actually thrown up and didn't with either of my daughters' pregnancies either.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Still waiting for my first, group, appointment. I'm hoping at that point I can schedule a first appointment with the OB and an ultrasound.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Time is moving way too slowly. I just want to get to the point where baby has a heartbeat, so I can check and see if baby has a heartbeat!
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way? We never went to camp or on regular summer vacations, but we had amazing summers just at home, playing outside and swimming in our pool.
How are you feeling? Pretty good! I don't think i'll be able to hide my belly much longer, for some reason I want to keep it to myself or as long as possible! Still needing naps but I have finally gotten back into exercising.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
I had both my doctors appointment this week and my midwife appointment. Dr. found the heartbeat but it was really hard to find, i'm now happy I never bought a home Doppler seeing how hard it was to find the heartbeat at the appointment. My bp was still crazy high at the office, but totally normal when the midwife takes it.
I'm really loving my midwife she is so incredibly knowledgeable! I gained my first couple of pounds this pregnancy, and even though I started out overweight my Midwife still wants me to gain at least 25 pounds which I found really interesting. She says that the increased blood volume and placenta alone weighs about 16 pounds and then the baby will weigh another 6 to 10 so that's easily 25 pounds right there.
Rants/Raves/Questions: it's my birthday on Monday! Happy first day of spring weekend!! We are telling my extended family this weekend and some of DH's family.
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way?
I'm with you @Wyattnash00 I went to summer camp every year for eight weeks and I loved it! I grew up in Utah, so I got to go to California every year for the whole summer it was the best. I went from age 8 until age 16, and I even flew by myself to California at age 8. Summer camp was fully my idea. I learned about it at religious school, came home and told my parents that that's where I was going over the summer! Ba ha ha!!!
@lillebowski23 you are very welcome- thanks for taking part;)
Summer camp in CA sounds just plain awesome @createillumniation!! And yay for a great appt and hearing hb!! I can send you my Doppler, I no longer wonder about this maniac in my belly!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I have my glucose screen and an appointment next week. Praying I don't have GD as I stuff my face with Easter candy...
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm starting to panic about daycare. We're house hunting, so I don't know whether to start looking where we live now, where we hope to be moving to, or near where I work. Or take my chances and wait until we have things sorted out knowing that it will likely be very difficult. I keep hearing horror stories about long waiting lists and people who just can't find anything that works well for them.
GTKY:
Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer
vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it?
Did you long to spend your summers some other way? I went to overnight camp once when I was like 10 and remember hating it. I was kind of a shy, awkward kid and I didn't really make friends easily when everyone else did. The only fun/funny thing I remember about it was that we got to dress up one of the counselors from the boy's camp in drag and put on a talent show at the end of the season. We dressed up this guy as Madonna and he lip-sync'd "Papa don't preach". Now that I think back I wonder just how appropriate that was...
We vacationed most summers to the coast of Maine. A few years we camped on an island that we could only get to by boat and had nothing on it but the campsite. We also went to Acadia National Park a few times. Vacations always involved camping, hiking, biking, swimming. I know for sure that's how I gained my love of the outdoors. It was also a treat to be able to stop at the L.L.Bean outlet store on our way up there, where my sister and I would play in the tents they had set up around the store. And there were always lobsters.
Me: 40 DH: 43 Married 5/30/15 TTC #1 June 2015 BFP #1 9/28/15, EDD 6/10/16. DS born 5/23/16! TTC #2 May 2017 BFP #2 m/c 11/18/17 5w5d BFP #3 12/17/17 EDD 8/25/18. It's a boy!
How are you feeling? Pretty good, though my ankles and feet started swelling this week, which freaked me out. Way.Too.Early.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I have one more week until we hear something about my SECOND Harmony draw. And I don't have another OB appointment for 3 weeks. Then my anatomy scan will be at the end of April. Can't wait!
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm not sure what category this falls into, but the last week, I have felt this overwhelming sense of urgency to get things done. Every twin mom that I've talked to and the stories from twin moms online say that most moms feel completely exhausted and "done" by 30 weeks. My little countdown clock in my head is telling me that I really only have 3 more months to get things done before I'm incapable of moving. And we have soooo much to do. As soon as we have that anatomy scan, I'm throwing it into high gear!
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way? I only went to summer camp one year and was not a fan. It was a lot of crafts and I remember canoeing on this tiny little pond that they called a lake. I also got a tick. But I have always loved summers. Growing up, we had a neighborhood pool and my friends and I would go every day, all day (back when you could send a 10 year old to the pool by themselves and it was safe). We took a few standard vacations growing up, like to Disney or the beach, but nothing regular.
@Wyattnash00, you have my permission to have that glass of wine @rspalding001, congrats on the doubling betas! great to read about how everyone's holding up!
How far along are you? 17w
How are you feeling? Feeling good!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Midwife appt this past Wed. went great. Heard the hearbeat and little one moving around on the doppler. Gained 7lbs in 4 weeks, but midwife was totally gracious about it; she called it a growth period, which I found amusing. Also, finally started feeling baby which is very reassuring! Got a referral to the research hospital to do the A/S and waiting for a call back to schedule it. Next midwife appt is 3.5 weeks.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Heading to Quebec City tomorrow for our 4 night getaway. Super excited but also stressed about getting everything ready and leaving DS with my parents.
GTKY:
Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer
vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it?
Did you long to spend your summers some other way?
I went a few different summer camps as a kid and mostly really loved it. What made the biggest impression were our family "camping" trips every summer. We had a little pop up camper that we would hitch up to the car every summer and head out to explore a new place for two or so weeks. We camped in the Rockies, Yellowstone, the Smokies, just to name a few. Even though I wouldn't call our style back then rustic, I think it's definitely what inspired my love of nature and probably ultimately led me to settle in a place like Vermont. We also spent a lot of time at the beach (Lake Michigan) growing up and to this day, I start itching to jump in a lake or river as soon as the weather starts getting warm.
Feeling mostly okay. Am having more crying attacks lately. Seems like the littlest thing sets me off.
No upcoming appointments. I think next OB visit is in April.
RAVE: A friend gave me 2 nursing pillows and 3 baby wraps, plus we scored a nice Pack-n-Play off Craigslist for only $50! We're off to a good start!
RANT: The Bump doesn't seem work anymore on my iPad or my laptop. It keeps coming up with virus warnings and won't let me post. I'm posting from DH's laptop but there are still some issues here (I need to use html to create paragraphs, etc.). So I may not be posting that often until we figure out what's going on. Is anyone else having issues with the Bump?
I went to summer camp a lot as a kid. Girl Scout camp, dance camp, etc. I was always homesick, though. And yet I kept wanting to go every single summer so a part of me most have really loved it. My favorite camp was a survivalist camp where we learned to make shelters out in the forest and fires without matches. It was so cool.
Random: Should I be concerned that I haven't *really* felt baby kick yet (at 19 weeks)? I've felt a few pops and bubble-type feelings, but think that it *might* be gas. I just can't wait to feel REAL kicks!!
@rspalding001 SO SO SO happy to see you here! I remember you from the other board. I'm so glad your hcg levels are doubling!!

@jilligan14 I had problems with the bump on my computer today it kept taking me to the nuk website anytime I clicked on the site. Uggghhhh. It works fine on the phone though. You should email them about it, maybe it will help? We can't loose you to technical issues I hear you on the crying- hormones!
@jilligan14 -- yes! We don't want to lose you! Hope the tech stuff can get sorted. I almost exclusively mobile bump and, while it is FAR from perfect, it's typically relatively reliable.
And, I don't think it's unusual to not be feeling real kicks at 19w. In fact, my pregnancy day by day book doesn't even begin really talking about feeling baby move until after 20 weeks. I think others on here may have more experience with that and I'm sure they'll jump in. If you're worried though, I always feel like it's ok to call the OB.
How are you feeling? not too great. I have had the worst back pain all week. Some days it's hard to walk at my office. I go back on the 28th to my OB and I'm going to discuss it with her.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Wednesday I go for my anatomy scan. We are bringing our son with us. This will be his first time seeing the baby in real time. He's seen a few photos before and heard the HB at home.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way?
i would sometimes go to sleep away camp. Usually I was in regular day camp which I loved.
How are you feeling? Pretty good. I miss laying on my stomach.
Any baby news? The anatomy scan went well.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I think I've been imagining that I'll be dealing with pregnancy forever and adding taking care of an infant to that. I have to keep in mind both of those are temporary. My body may not look quite the same, but it will feel more like itself after the baby is born. And the baby won't always keep me awake all night. So many people keep telling me I'm not going to get any sleep, as if I've never heard of babies before! It drives me nuts!
Also, I get a nice feeling every time I read about someone on the Bump having everything ready for the baby, or even almost ready. I'm such a planner, so I can't wait to have all my ducks in a row.
GTKY: My family went on a lot of boat trips. Mostly to Put-N-Bay, Ohio. We also went by boat to Mackinac Island, Michigan and up to Canada. I loved our trips.
@jilligan14 I did some crazy crying between 18-19 weeks. It felt like I was possessed or something. I wasn't even as upset as the crying would suggest. And I was actually more upset about the uncontrollable crying than I was about the thing that upset me in the first place.

How far along are you? 16w5d -- how did that happen? It's just going so fast!
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Still tired, still having heartburn - it's ramping up and now I get it every day regardless of what I eat.
Any baby news? I'm feeling them multiple times a day now. It's cool to know they're on each side, so I (think) I know who's kicking when. But sometimes it's in the middle. So, who knows. I have my next OB appt in a couple weeks with ultrasound and I see my endocrinologist for a GD check-in.
Rants: Can I have two rants? First, my blood sugars are awful. I'm going to email my endo on Monday because I'm rarely in range. I'm eating all my go-to foods from last pregnancy and my sugars suck. Obviously I need to eat differently, but let's be realistic. I work full-time, 10 hour days, and I have a toddler. I don't exactly have time to cook gourmet meals with whole grains and yummy veggies when I get home at 6:30 and have about 30-40 minutes to cuddle my baby. And second ... holy moly - I can't remember my second rant. Maybe it was that my memory is awful? UGH! I've literally sat here for 5 minutes trying to remember....
Rave: We're working on my daughter's "big girl" bedroom. It's making me kind of sad and nostalgic, but it's going to be so darn cute!
Question: Anyone up for a Bump Picture thread? I think I'm finally ready to share mine!! I can amaze you all with how huge my 16 week bump is!! I'm about the size I was at 24-26 weeks with my first.
GTKY: No camp for me. We didn't do too many summer vacations either. We lived on a largish pond and I spent most of the summer in there until my parents put a pool in when I was about 12. Then I was there with friends. Summers were awesome as a kid!

@jilligan14, I didn't feel this babe until 22ish weeks, my son not until 28-29, i had an anterior placenta tho, don't worry, baby will start kicking like crazy soon!!
Thanks @emsmama15! Sure lets have a bump thread! We can make it a part of the weekly check in or should we have a separate running thread or a weekly thread?
Lets do hump day bump day? Lots of people are probably not on enough during the weekends if we start it today? Anyone want to be in charge of starting it?
I will do it - and start on Wednesday! I will also put a reminder in my phone for my awful memory!
And I remembered my second rant! It SNOWED here last night and the ground was completely covered!! YUCK! But, I just took a little nap, woke up, and it's mostly gone, so it's turned into a rave!

It's been snowing off and on here all day--in fact, we thought it had stopped, so my DH is out mowing and big fluffy flakes just started to fall. Haha. Fortunately, it's "warm" enough that it's not sticking. Still. So weird. ETA: photo. Not something you see everyday.
I didn't feel consistent movement until well after 20 weeks -- probably 23-24 weeks when I could feel something every day. I do have an anterior placenta.
I'm also have the same technical issues with TB bringing me to the Nuk or whatever website. If I reload the page it usually works. TB is way too buggy in general though. It drives me BSC.

How are you feeling? Pretty huge and lazy but happy
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I have my 32 week growth scan on Wednesday so I can't wait to see how she's doing in there. At 21 weeks, they found an echogenic intracardiac focus on her heart (harmless but a soft marker for DS) so they will be able to tell if it's still there. Hopefully it's gone and she's growing right on track.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I am almost finished with the whale-themed nursery. DH put up the (huge!) whale shelf this week and I've been busy filling it with things I've been saving. I've washed, sorted and put away all of the baby clothes and organized the toys and supplies in her closet. I even had her hospital gown and a few hats monogrammed with her name or initials. We still need to buy a video monitor, sound machine and a few other things but at least I can relax a bit now and concentrate on keeping the house clean for the next 9 weeks. It's going so fast now!
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way? We took a family trip to Washington DC and Ocean City, MD every summer. I loved every second of it but my siblings and I fought a lot causing my parents to freak out. Now that I have kids that fight frequently, I wish I could go back and be better behaved. Nothing is more stressful than constantly intervening between children. I really hope I can figure out a way to resolve disputes before they get nasty.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) as I mentioned in a f/u on last week's check in, my harmony results came back low risk and that it's a girl. First appt with the OB is on Wednesday.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I finally have a bra that fits again! But for how long? I think I'm just going to order the next size up no so I'm prepared...
GTKY: My summers were a hodgepodge of things. My family didn't have any set summer traditions. I did a half day arts day camp for several years. I'd also spend time at the pool with friends. I had one sleep away girl scout camp experience that I enjoyed. I remember not being homesick like my cabin mates (friends from school). I also remember that my older sister and I spent lots of time home alone, watching tv (reruns of dukes of hazard & Charlie's Angels) and eating junk food like micro magic cheeseburgers, microwave mama Celeste pizzas and cans of beeferoni.
How far along are you? 22 weeks 2 days. How are you feeling? Like there's not 18 weeks more worth of room in my abdomen... Something bony feels wedged between two of my ribs. Baby news? Meet the OB last week for the first time, she seems nice, however she is pregnant and due in early August. I was so busy being a basket case after they weighed me and I discovered I've gained 20 lbs already ( I only gained 25 total with each of my others, and so I was a bit floored, plus you know pregnancy hormones) that I didn't even ask her her plans for her practice if she is off early or for postpartum follow up. Rants, raves, questions? See above GTKY.. Lots of found memories if summer vacations tent camping through British Columbia and Alberta
Edited as only half the original post actually published.
@Sporty1216 - I totally understand wanting to get to the fun part of pregnancy.. I can't wait to feel kicks and actually look really pregnant. @lillebowski23 - Congrats on seeing the kick! That must have been soo cool to see! @createillumination - I concur with you on not getting a doppler. I really wanted one too, but the anxiety of not finding a heartbeat is frightening to me. @mamafesto - Hope you had a great getaway!! @BernieRae - Congrats on your testing and finding out it's a girl!!!
How far along are you? 12w + 1d
How are you feeling? Pretty good! Spent the last week and a half a WDW and amazingly walked 6-9 miles every day... I'm a bit proud of myself for hanging in there with my girlfriends. Mr. Bojangles doesn't like chocolate anymore.. so that has made me a bit sad. I wasn't a huge chocolate fan to begin with, but come on... not a Reese fan either?!? He's taking after his father already.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Just got my Materniti21 test results back on Friday, all tests came back negative (that's how the nurse termed them..) and I found out I'm having a boy. We go this Friday for the NT ultrasound and am looking forward to see Mr. Bojangles again. He was doing ninja moves at the 10w ultrasound.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm nervous about having a boy. Before I found out, I had said I thought I was having a girl, but kept saying "he is doing this... he is doing that".. but now I can't even imagine where to begin with a boy. I did buy Mr. Bojangles the cutest little outfit from WDW... there are not as many options to buy stuff for boys as there is for girls. I can't decide if that is a rant or a rave.
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way? I went to 4-H camp every year from 7(junior camper) until I was 21 (adult leader). Other than WDW, it was my happy place. I loved archery, swimming in the James River, arts & crafts, and having canned peaches every morning for breakfast. I tried a church camp and girl scout camp, but those were awful.
Congrats on the boy, @piperella! I wasn't sure what to do with a boy either, but we've figured it out. My boy loves balls and climbing and is generally a nut. It's a lot of energy to deal with, but it's a ton of fun. And he's a total mama's boy, which I adore.
@Piperella - When I found out my daughter was a girl, all I could think of was pink and tutus and I'm NOT a girly girl. I thought "OH MY GOD, what will I do with a little girl? What if she wants to wear dresses all the time?" Well, she does like pink and tutus and dresses AND she loves her mama and I just can't get enough of her. Now, finding out we're having at least one boy, I'm freaking out about that because now I'm used to girls! HA! You'll figure it out!! So happy your testing was negative!!
*** Child & current pregnancy mentioned ***
Me - 41 (PCOS), Hubby - 43 (healthy)
7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)
3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl!
@Piperella, so totally understand about wanting to have a baby girl, I don't know why, but I have always imagined myself having a baby girl, I just haven't ever imagined having a baby boy, my mum always said girls are always gonna be there for their parents, boys not so much (I know that's not true) but I guess that stuck with me...but since in India we aren't allowed to find out whether it's a girl or boy, I just want a healthy baby.
Thank you, @Goldsgirl9, @krupali78, @createillumination, @emsmama15, and @sporty1216! I'm very excited to be having a healthy baby boy this fall, and some of you hit the nail on the head where it's just a complete unknown for me. Right now we are thinking about the theme of the nursery for Bojangles.. and most of my ideas were gender neutral to begin with, so at least I have something to start with. Honestly if it was a girl, I'd still be a little lost (writes the one who has never changed a diaper). Thank you for all the comments, storeis, and tips.. it brought a smile to my face!
Congratulations @Piperella ! I will have a similar reaction if #2 is a boy, although I won't know until the day baby is born. I remember after our DD was born DH had questions about what was normal for her female parts, how to clean them etc and I will have the same questions if we have a boy this time!
Re: Weekly Check in 3/18
How are you feeling?
I am really ready to start the next chapter, but as I told Amy Bump when I saw her kick, "you aren't quite done yet so just hang in there until the end of June/beginning of July!"
Ranting about this alleged Nor'easter snow storm we're supposed to get on Sun->Mon.
BFP 3.8.16 EDD 11.20.16
How far along are you? 28w3d
How are you feeling? I have no major complaints!
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way?

BFP #3 12/17/17 EDD 8/25/18.
@rspalding001, congrats on the doubling betas!
great to read about how everyone's holding up!
GTKY: Did you ever go to summer camp as a kid or take a special summer vacation with your family every year? What did you love/hate about it? Did you long to spend your summers some other way?
And, have a great long weekend away, @mamafesto!
I'm 19 weeks, 1 day today!
NTNP since 11/12, actively trying since 8/14
11/15: Letrozole, Ovidrel, TI = BFP!!!
Beta #1(14dpo)=349, Beta #2(18dpo)=2,805
12/17/15: Got to see the heartbeat (105bpm)!
1/25/16: NT scan = normal (HB=163bpm)
EDD: 8/10/16
8/8/16: Baby boy born @ 12:25am, 8lbs, 20.5 inches
5/18/17: BFP!!! (11dpo)
Beta #1(12dpo)=176.4, Beta #2(15dpo)=607.1
And, I don't think it's unusual to not be feeling real kicks at 19w. In fact, my pregnancy day by day book doesn't even begin really talking about feeling baby move until after 20 weeks. I think others on here may have more experience with that and I'm sure they'll jump in. If you're worried though, I always feel like it's ok to call the OB.
How are you feeling?
not too great. I have had the worst back pain all week. Some days it's hard to walk at my office. I go back on the 28th to my OB and I'm going to discuss it with her.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
Wednesday I go for my anatomy scan.

@createillumination - Happy Birthday!
And I remembered my second rant! It SNOWED here last night and the ground was completely covered!! YUCK! But, I just took a little nap, woke up, and it's mostly gone, so it's turned into a rave!

How are you feeling? Pretty good.
See above
GTKY.. Lots of found memories if summer vacations tent camping through British Columbia and Alberta
Edited as only half the original post actually published.

I will have a similar reaction if #2 is a boy, although I won't know until the day baby is born. I remember after our DD was born DH had questions about what was normal for her female parts, how to clean them etc and I will have the same questions if we have a boy this time!
