  • How many weeks are you: 33w3d

Any updates with Dr's appointments or sonograms?  I got to go home from the hospital yesterday after kind of begging the doctor. I have an NST and doctors appointment today so we will see how that goes

Are you doing anything for St. Patty's Day?  Nope!

Where do you think your twins will sleep when they first come home, first few months, and/or long term?  We have every sleeping apparatus available. I'm hoping they will sleep in rock n plays in our room at first, but I also have a co sleeper. Eventually we would like them in their cribs

Are you planning to breastfeed?  Have you/will you buy any certain kind of nursing pillow? Yes planning on it! And we registered for (and received) the twin My Brest Friend. I figured it would also just make it easier to hold them both to feed even in a bottle situation

    Any questions for the group?

    None at the moment

  • How many weeks are you: 30 tomorrow

Any updates with Dr's appointments or sonograms? Have one tomorrow

Are you doing anything for St. Patty's Day? Nope, not Irish

Where do you think your twins will sleep when they first come home, first few months, and/or long term? They'll share a bassinet in our room for a few weeks, then share a crib in their room, eventually separate cribs in their room

Are you planning to breastfeed?  Have you/will you buy any certain kind of nursing pillow? I went a full year with my son so I really hope so!! I had a standard boppy with him and only really used it to prop up my arm, don't think I'll drop the money on a twin one

Any questions for the group? Anyone else having hormone surges again? I cry or rage at the drop of a hat like the first trimester again

  • How many weeks are you:  32 weeks tomorrow

Any updates with Dr's appointments or sonograms?  nothing this week.  feeling pretty big and feeling more movements super low lately

Are you doing anything for St. Patty's Day?  No  :(  I wish I could take the kids to the big Kansas City parade but I just can't walk far or be far from a bathroom (or wait in giant port-a-potty lines).  Oh well, next year!  ...'cause it'll be super easy to take twin 11 month olds to a crowded parade.

Where do you think your twins will sleep when they first come home, first few months, and/or long term?  I'm pretty sure I'll want them in my room at first but I can't decide what kind of bed to use.  I have a Halo bassinette from my sister but I feel it may be small for two.  Then I thought about putting one baby in the pack n'play with handy changing table attachment.  THEN, I thought about using our mini crib and skipping the first two (it was a gift and just arrived).  .......sorry, just thinking out loud here.  ;)  Their nursery is pretty far from our bedroom.  I plan to have them share a crib for the first ~4 months and then once they're bigger or start to move we'll put up the 2nd (it's not a big nursery so I figure the more space the better while my big kids are home from school for the summer).

Are you planning to breastfeed?  Have you/will you buy any certain kind of nursing pillow?  Yes, I'm really hoping to nurse both.  It would save us so much money, plus I enjoyed nursing my first two (although the first few weeks were difficult/painful).  I hope these babies don't come too early so they can learn to nurse easier.  I'm thinking about getting the My Breast Friend Twin nursing pillow.  I like that it's really firm.  I hear a lot of people like the Twin Z pillows though....

Any questions for the group? nope

How many weeks are you:  30+4

Any updates with Dr's appointments or sonograms?  Nope -- next growth scan is next week so we will see if we will continue these 2 a week appointments.

Are you doing anything for St. Patty's Day?  We made our own corned beef and Irish soda bread. Other than that not much.

Where do you think your twins will sleep when they first come home, first few months, and/or long term?  They will share a crib in our room at first. Once that's not practical we will split them into their own cribs in their room.

Are you planning to breastfeed?  Have you/will you buy any certain kind of nursing pillow?  Yes I am planning on it. We have one of those double boppy type pillows on our registry and will probably buy it. Although at the breast feeding multiples class they said they weren't really necessary so we shall see.

Any questions for the group? None at the moment.

auntieembabes -- yes I have noticed that I get angry/upset way more easily lately.

I guess we were lucky, it was offered through the hospital we are delivering at. I personally didn't feel like it was too multiples specific but they did play a twins video from this youtube channel: DIYbreastfeeding

Any updates with Dr's appointments or sonograms? Had my first cervical check today and I am dilated 1cm. I have been cut off from normal activities which blows goats. We still have so much to unpack!

Are you doing anything for St. Patty's Day? I wore my one green shirt that fits today and it made my tatas look huge. Wore my green shoes and they fit me for all of an hour. @2.red.heads I miss the St Patrick's day parade! I have friends doing Westport today.

Where do you think your twins will sleep when they first come home, first few months, and/or long term? We have a pack and play with a double bassinet on top that we'll use until they can transition to cribs in the nursery. It's pretty far from our bedroom.

Are you planning to breastfeed?  Have you/will you buy any certain kind of nursing pillow? I am planning on it, but I'm not going to beat myself up too badly if it doesn't work out. The important thing is that my babies be healthy and grow. I registered for the Twin -Z but it's so damn expensive! I may reuse the snoogle for this.

Any questions for the group? Anyone else already dilated a bit? I'm not freaking out about anything yet but also hyper aware of keeping these babies in as long as possible.

I'm already dilated as well, and almost 100% effaced. I've been like this for a week. I would just take it super easy.

    How many weeks are you:

    29+1

Any updates with Dr's appointments or sonograms?

Had my lactation & breastfeeding twins appointment today. Very excited to give BFing another try! I stopped at 2 months with my first and hoping to go longer this time around, especially now that I've actually had some professional advice from a lactation consultant. If it doesn't work out were prepared to bottle feed as well, but hoping to be able to feed them Breast milk as much as possible.

Are you doing anything for St. Patty's Day?

    Nothing

Where do you think your twins will sleep when they first come home, first few months, and/or long term?

We got a halo bassinest for a really good price ($175 Canadian) and a graco travel lite crib with stages set up beside our bed that we also got a great deal on! Didn't wanna spend $ on another halo bassinest if they're only going to be used for a few months and figured the travel pack n play will be used for much longer and more often. We'll alternate the twins in each. After that they have separate cribs in their nursery, although I don't know what age they will be when I switch them over.

Are you planning to breastfeed?  Have you/will you buy any certain kind of nursing pillow?

Yes! Got a Brest friend twin pillow for $20 from a neighbour. Also scooped up the twin Z pillow for $25 from another mom which is super awesome bc they're not available here in Canada either!

    Any questions for the group?

    can't think of any
