@Palisson- I love you. That's all. Also, I'm fairly certain DatAss.com/locations is fairly up-to-date, but you may also want to check out hawtbods.com, supahflymamas.com or howthehelldidshepopoutakidlookingsoamazing.com.
@crdo- I had to reread that like four times because I swore it said "bacon sounds like bacon and now I want bacon."
@DeePaddy24- I think a blue background would make the letters pop, but either way, it's super cute!!
@MamaNicoleof3: For the record, I second everything @palisson said. Also, I wouldn't put it past me to say "bacon" 3x in a single sentence
If the booty-bulkin' class search fails, might I suggest youtube for workout videos? Though...I'd be careful of the search terms you use. Haha!
@DeePaddy24: I also say blue background + white letters would look great against a light wall! Cute sign!
It was a good indicator for me. I donated several gallons of b-milk with my first son. (newly adopted infants and preemie twins with a non-producing mom.)
I pumped using a medela symphony and instead of horns & bottles I used Freemies! They are like milk collecting tupperware that fit inside your bra and give you total privacy while pumping at your desk at work- also they are automatically handsfree. I could also pump for a lot longer at a lower setting- thereby getting more milk with less/no pain. I was pumping up to 30oz a day while lawyering. (i was a big producer for my big eater.)
Piggy backing off of @chelseay416's post, I am also measuring ahead by like 2 weeks. But that doesn't mean I'm actually considered to be at 30 weeks right? And I'm measuring ahead based on fundal measurement, I haven't had an u/s since 20 weeks. Just curious...
---damn box---
Nope. I've always measure a week ahead since my NT which prompted me to change my due date on here but my OB later told me your initial dating scan is most accurate and I never got around to changing it back. I'll likely be hating myself in June because it'll look like I'm 40 weeks pregnant when I'm really only 39. And God forbid I go over....
**Putting on flame suit** I was always 1-2 weeks ahead with DS and ended up going a week over. Lots of pep talks with this little one about not having such a big head and coming on time this round. My OB this time said at the first appointment that she won't change my due date at all regardless of how baby is measuring.
Nooooooo..... time to start my pep talks with this one.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I have so many rants today!! I'm sure it's hormones and lack of sleep but I am so ragey!!! My DS is sick and was up all night, so my usual exhaustion is double today. I need to go get lunch but I'm scared I'll lose my parking space and have to walk (I'm feeling very lazy!). And I swear if one more person who finds out I'm having twins says "Well, you're not coming back to work" I'm going to lose it! Of course, I am! Do you know how much twins are going to cost us?? I used to be such a nice person and now I'm just bitchy all the time!!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Today I'm just trying to get home so I can sleep, nothing else!
Questions? Nope
GTKY: What's your least favorite part about being pregnant so far? This pregnancy is making me realize how easy my first was. I'm so uncomfortable so much sooner than I was with my first. I think the hormones have been the worst part. I feel like I'm a raw nerve all the time!!
@mamanicoleof3 you are not alone. You are important and what you are doing is asking a lot of you, your body and your mind. I hope you can feel loved by everyone on this BMB. You set a good example for those who are just doing this for the first time and you give permission to complain for those of us wondering why, even on our second or third pregnancy we can't just accept it. This is a tough time, being pregnant.
MeganF08 (the real MeganF08, who is very successful) I will never look back and "miss" being pregnant. But- as I was having my first son, I KNEW we would have another one and I really wanted to. Which is weird. I hate being pregnant- but I love the baby!
@kbequette08 & @edeibel89 Hey- I definitely slept WAY better after my son was born. Seriously. I don't know that it'l work out that way with this guy, but just not being pregnant was 90% of the improved sleep. Also- having the baby there, needing you, made any sleep loss 100% worth it!
@candicek15 Start that conversation as soon as you want to. If you have questions about your labor & delivery, expect them to give you the answers!
@Trinirican3ondway Oh- getting older sibling settled is so much harder than I thought it would be! I am making a nursery/boys' room now since we never did one for DS- he's still in our room and still cosleeping! I just want to make sure he's all set before we add a member to his family! I am more worried about him than I am about the new baby.
@BakerBird525 I did not take a birthing class- but I had been through lamaze classes twice with my mom. I probably should have taken the class. It doesnt hurt to be prepared for whatever happens. I wonder if you couldn't just be super upfront with the Step-Mom: You are invited to my shower, I know that we have a strained relationship, but I want you & my father to have the opportunity to celebrate this new baby!" Remember it really comes down to fostering healthy relationships between you child and this person, because even if you didn't have that- your baby deserves love from everyone. (I struggle with this with my MIL & my mom every damn day. But my son deserves all the love he can ever get!) I second what @Diesel615 said on this subject.
@chelseay416 my hooha. I tried to groom and cut it 4 times- but it didn't hurt? I was using a pair of clippers- so I don't even know how I drew blood. This is sad.
@crdo Don't worry! just kidding. I am a non-stop worrier and guess what- it doesnt go away when the baby gets here! It won't go away when the baby goes to school or college or has his/her own babies! Thsi is who you are- so make it work for you!
@kwife15 Milky Milky... Congrats! I use cotton or bamboo pads inside a tank that has a shelf bra. I try not to use disposable pads, especially at night, because I would get little blocked ducts when I did. Rinse your nips with salt water too to keep them nice and clean!
I have heard that breastfeeding helps a mom get an extra 45 minutes of sleep so I'm crossing my fingers that's true for me! I mean I'll just be happy getting to sleep on my stomach and back again!
Hi all- on March Break and generally busy with my daughter and limited to my phone but her nap is going long and it's nice to check in. Rave- my ass pain has subsided! Thank you witch hazel. Rant- not feeling super in the belly. Hope it passes soon. Also, terrible hair day and fragile self-confidence in general. I gained soo little weight with my daughter that my ass widening is getting to me.
But enough about my ass! Hoping I passed the GD test!!
Question (though I may not see responses super soon)- my vericose vein had one swollen bulge before (thanks first child) but now it has several and is like a disgusting serpant on my inner thigh/caf. Anyone have suggestions on dealing with the aesthetic grossness of these either pre or post birth? I'd be open to surgery down the road if it weren't too pricey.
Least fave part of pregnancy- nausea. And lack of beer.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Had a growth scan this morning, Baby Girl is measuring in the 50th percentile, and they estimate 2lbs 9oz. No good pictures though, as she was sleeping with her hands over her face, snuggling up to the placenta. I'm always tired, and always thirsty, and am so over the pelvic pain.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I thought I had picked out the bedding that I would go with, so I ordered a crib sheet so I could start picking paint colors, and the colors were so much different in person than what was shown online. So back to the drawing board with bedding... But DS's toddler room is getting really far along, I'm super excited about that.
Questions? How bad is it to use a laptop in my lap, really. I know years ago they said it could affect male fertility, but that was like 15 years ago...
GTKY: What's your least favorite part about being pregnant so far? CM. Ugh. Could totally do without that.
I thought of a question. For those of you who have had your GD test, how long did it take for the results?? I don't remember for DS. (Mins is scheduled for my birthday the 28th of the month. Happy birthday to me drinking that shit).

For me and my first son breastfeeding meant we all slept all the time: We co-slept during naps and at night and after the first month it turns out that I often wouldn't really wake up and neither would he when he wanted to nurse.
As my partner would explain, "He makes little mouth smacking noises and you just roll towards him and 'pop!' the tit is in and neither of you even opened your eyes." A beautiful description of a loving relationship.
I slept more after he came than I EVER did before. I was never a good sleeper prior to pregnancy and then I was super uncomfortable during pregnancy and could never sleep well.
Also- most of the time I nursed my son during the first few months, he and I would either being laying on our sides on the bed or in a "laid-back" position and we would both fall asleep. He could down both sides without waking.

I had my test on a Friday and had results Monday morning. (If they had been open Saturday they could have told me then, it should be within 24 hours.)

They literally tested my sugar level and told me the result before I got the band aid on. My office does it in house with a little machine right beside where they do the draw.
@CourtJack He was above 90th percentile in every measurement except for legs last time and he was only at 68th percentile for those. Now he's over 90th with legs too in the last month. I asked my doc about it and he said growth is usually spurted like that with different parts growing at different rates. Hopefully the same happens for your little one!!

Ah, well I'm happy for you! Hurrah for a growth spurt.
Unfortunately my guy hasn't hit that spurt yet. Overall he is measuring in the 27th percentile, but all bones in his arms and legs are still under the 5th As of right now, docs aren't worried about dwarfism because the bones *look* good, they're just short. So, we'll just keep monitoring and hope he keeps a-growing

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: My pregnancy brain is bad lately along with back/leg aches.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? We had our second Lamaze class Monday and today we had our first baby boot camp class!
Questions? None today
