We think Cal is on the verge of smiling...he's been smiling in his sleep since the beginning, but I'm talking an awake/alert smile. It just seems to be lurking and ready to make an appearance. In fact, there have been a couple of times where it seemed that he did but we couldn't be sure. Did you go through the same thing and when s/he really did, was it unmistakable that it was a smile and not a random mouth movement that looked like a smile?? If so, how were you sure?

ronnie was the 1st one, it was august 5th (am i dork for remembering the date, haha) so lets see he was 12 weeks actual, 5 weeks adjusted age..
it was VERY obvious with him, it kind of freaked me out, because his face looked totally different when he smiled. i will never forget that feeling
he only did it a few times for the next few weeks..then it was non stop
joey was not as obvious..like i don't have an exact date for him, just because there were a lot of "was that it?" moments..
for the couple of weeks before they smiled, there was a definite time when i knew it was coming soon..you could look at their faces and just read happiness without a smile, like i could just see in their eyes..
?
Joey, Ronnie, and Audrey,

I think Aaron was around 6 weeks. Before that he smiled in his sleep or when he passed gas. Now he smiles all the time, coos and squeaks. It's super cute. I think when he smiles you'll know it for sure.
It's so hard to catch on camera too! I try all the time.

If we were talking to my son while he was awake at about a month, he would smile. Probably at the sound of our voices. It was the cutest thing and I was able to capture it on camera.
