Second TW today. RLP! Oh my goodness it feels like I ran a marathon and I didn't! Even my upper arms are hurting I have no idea why. My hands hurt my legs and feet hurt. Did not want to be feeling like this today, especially on our anniversary.
Thanks for all of the support & well wishes ladies! I'm a big believer in the power of prayer and he has a big test this evening (5pm EST), a bone scan to see if the cancer has spread to his bones (devastating if so) so please if you are a prayer keep him in your prayers that the results come back clean & the cancer hasn't spread!!! I haven't really told anyone in real life (aside from DH/family) that this is happening because to say it out loud is acknowledging it/having to talk about it and I'd prefer to keep that to only when I'm comfortable with it... so I would really appreciate your support
Sending prayers for your Dad, and I hope you get good news with his test today. Cancer seriously sucks.

I will make sure to keep him in my thoughts and say prayers for him this evening during the scan and continue to pray for good results. Thinking of you and your family.

I'll be thinking of you and hoping it hasn't spread to his bones! Prostate cancer is super treatable if caught in time, I'll be praying this is the case for you guys. I never like to talk about it out loud either, I don't know if it makes it real or that I don't want the sympathy or I just don't want people to ask me about it but that's how I cope too. My family carries a genetic mutation and no one on my moms side has made it past 55. All thanks to reproductive cancers. My mom had breast at 45, her sister had ovarian at 50 and her other sister breast at 54 and their mom at 51. Cancer is the ultimate TW. If you ever do want to talk about anything or vent feel free to send me a message. If you don't want to talk about it to anyone ever, that's totally cool too. Do whatever it is you need to do to make it through. I'll be thinking about you
Adding another TW... Cancer is a twatwaffle. My dad's just been diagnosed with prostate cancer... he has to undergo all these scans/tests now and I can't go with him because of the radioactive stuff he has to ingest and I have to steer clear for a full day afterwords. It sucks on all accounts...
I'm so sorry to hear this @MsBeachNJ - hugs to you and your Dad. My Dad passed from cancer and cancer can go to hell from my standpoint. I hope your Dad is able to make a full recovery with treatment. Please let us know if we can help support you in any way possible. He'll be in my prayers today.
My twatwaffle for today is all the BH I have been having. I had a lot last night and they just started up again a little bit ago. Get it together body...!

Crap, have other people started to actually pack a hospital bag??? Is that something I should get on soon?
Thanks @shannonrnbsn !! I'm a little bummed by the diagnosis but probably should be changing my diet any way. So maybe this will keep me and baby healthy through the rest of this pregnancy. I anticipate a lot of my future rants will be focused on not getting to over indulge on the yummy foods I love so much....

I haven't....yet, but I have thought about it because I'm super Type A.

I think I must have an irritable uterus or something lol. Several weeks ago I had between 50-70 at work in like a 4 hr span and thankfully was able to get them to stop after I laid down when I got home from work. I had PTL stopped a few times with my girls at 29, 31, and 32 weeks and really don't want to have to go through it again so hopefully my body just behaves itself this time around!
I tatered two separate threads today, and don't feel the least bit sorry about it. I don't think that qualifies me as a full on twatwaffle, but it should qualify me as something, just a little less intense.. Like a twatcrumpet.

I was wondering the same thing when I read that. I haven't even thought about packing a hospital bag at this point. #Procrastinators4Lyfe

I'm tearing up, I'm so proud of the tot-pocalypse. Also, I think you're more of a twatmuffin. Or a twatscone.

I say yes to the bag, I had my girls at 33 weeks it comes quicker than you think sometimes. I would just rotate clothes through the bag as needed if there was something I wanted or needed to wear or if I needed clean underwear.
@MsBeachNJ I'm keeping your Dad in my thoughts and prayers to reiterate what everyone else said. Keep us posted!
My TW of the day goes to the group of boys next door bouncing the effing basketball all day long. I'm trying to work from home and I seriously want to rip my hair out because of the noise. I get it I want kids to play outside as much as possible and I'm glad they are doing just that, but seriously don't they go to school? Last Tuesday I asked one of the kids if they didn't have school when they were home and he said "no my mom didn't feel like taking us and said we didn't have to go". I'm not really sure what the truth is because they go to a private school so it's not like their mom doesn't care. There should be rules about playing basketball during working hours, at least until 3:30 or something!

Twatcookie? Twatteacake? Twatpinafore?
Ok, y'all are just making me hungry for non-twatted baked goods.

I had a bunch nonstop a little over a week ago and ended up in L&D and of course by time I got there they had stopped. They side eyed me and asked if I knew for sure they were BH. Ummm, I'm a FTM. I have no facking clue. But my uterus kept tightening up like a hard ass basketball and they wouldn't stop no matter what I did. I was actually more afraid I would try to ignore them and find out later that they would be mad I didn't come in and be seen. Luckily the nurses were super nice. Wish I could have one at a doctors appointment so they would verify they are BH.
Just a quick question for those who got their GD test results: How long did it take you to get your results back? I forgot to ask my midwife today after I got my blood drawn.

*Edit: Whoops, meant to post this on the randoms board

Yep, those are BH, unfortunately I'm kind of an expert. Definitely call the hospital or go in if they start hurting too. They have prescription meds they can give too if necessary.
TW today is awarded to this raining weather and myself! Of course it's gloomy all day but no call for rain so I wait for H to get home to grocery shop so I didn't have to take DS. As soon as I have a full cart and have to load them in the car it DOWN POURS! Get home to take in grocery H comes out to help and it down pours again!! Then putting away the groceries H and DS and checking out everything I bought. Standing in my way and I snapped, yelling for them to leave the kitchen!!

PM me later if you need to vent. My dad has been cancer free for almost 7 years, and it was actually the biopsy that nearly killed him, not the cancer. My FIL also had prostate cancer about 2 years ago, but he's had some complications with is surgeries and recoveries (he's the kind of guy that had a 2-inch long carpentry staple go through his fingers and pulled it out with pliers, put a band aid on it and went back to stapling shit lol), so he's a whole different kind of interesting. Keep your head up. FX'd that they caught it early enough, and that your dad will have a long and healthy life. Again, PM me if you want.
New extra special twatwaffle! My OB (who assured DH and I multiple times at multiple appointments that we would be able to deliver at the birthing center barring any medical complications if we stayed with him). Just got back from my apt where he no joke said 'Oh, I'm sorry, I don't have rights there, only the midwives in our practice do and they aren't taking new patients past 20 weeks. I should have referred you, that's my error'. What?!?!
My twattwaffle today is elections. Results coming in and it ain't pretty. Looks like we'll have to choose between a lying egomaniac and a lying criminal.
