How does everyone feel about bringing their baby to a Easter celebration? My dd will be 6 weeks by then. Too soon?? There will be about 20 people there.
There is a "photo with Easter bunny" event at my local farmers market this Saturday and I really want to take my LO for his first Easter photo, but I'm scared! I'm thinking I could hold him, get the photo and then leave! I'm Curious what others' opinions are to your question! My guy is 6 weeks old too.
From my understanding, you're at a bigger risk of LO getting sick if you're at a house with a sick person (basically in close quarters) or at a huge place like disneyworld. Other than that, the risk isn't huge because you're not on top of a bunch of sick people. You might want to call the pediatrician though to get their opinion, although I would go if it were me
My LO will be 6 weeks and we will go (about 40 people). If people are getting to close I will probably wear baby in a carrier. I'm not ready to pass baby around yet since flu season is still hanging on here in Minnesota.
At her 1 month checkup, my pediatrician just said to avoid big crowds like a Sunday church service or Disney World. Anything else is at my discretion and a lot of the worry is already past. Their immune systems have already gotten better.

I took my LO to a wedding when she was a month old. I was so nervous. But people were really respectful of touching her and I just carried a little bottle of hand sanitizer. You should be just fine though.
We asked our pediatrician about hosting 20 people for Easter. He recommended we not host or attend with that many people. She will only be 3 weeks on Easter, so I'm guessing it's just too early. Her next appt is the day after Easter and we'll talk to him again about going to church, etc.

My pediatrician suggested that we arrive at church late, sit in the back, and skip out early so nobody will come bother the baby. He said it can really bless you to be able to return to that important part of life. We did it last week with our 3 week old and it went great! We did have to step out a few times for fussiness but it was great to feel like we were making a step back to normalcy. Especially since I had a c section and feel a bit stir crazy!
