Re: **The Everything Random Thread for April Mamas**

  • So the last few days LO hasn't moved as much. Well yesterday I got a total of 4 movements so I went to L&D. They did a NST and he didn't pass. Then they did an ultrasound where they score him points on certain things. He needed an 8/8 but only got a 6/8. Well that combined with the NST points makes a 6/10 so I had to stay there and speak with the high risk doctor. While waiting LO decided to move like crazy and passed the second NST. I was able to go home at 945 but I now have to do 2 NSTs each week, a weekly 24 hr urine test, and weekly appointments. I'm glad things aren't worse but this pregnancy is killing me. So. Many. Issues. Ahhhhh!!!

@TKaiser91I'm sorry to hear you're going through ALL that. Pregnant moms worry enough as it is. :virtual hugs:

  • @TKaiser91 Sorry it's been so stressful! But glad he is doing well!!!
  • @TKaiser91 that must have been stressful :pensive: LO has been quite calm the past days as well but decided to go completely crazy during the scan today, and I could finally stop worrying again :)

  • Thanks ladies!

@elasticheart13 it seems like this LO does the same thing. I usually just wait for my appointment and all is well but waiting 4 more days after so little activity for so long...I just couldn't. The worry was to much at that point

I totally understand, the only thing keeping me sane was that I knew I had an appointment this soon. If I hadn't I would definitely have called and asked to get baby checked. I can still feel life but not the kind I'm used to, so it freaks you out.

To make it all worse, I woke up today after a horrible hooooorrible nightmare where I dreamt someone had kidnapped LO immediately after he was born and I spent the entire dream looking for him, so I cried when I woke up because it was so scary :pensive: so I was pretty anxious to get him checked and make sure everything was fine :/

I know exactly what you mean!

And that dream sounds so terrifying!! I hate dreams like that! Every time I have one of those it takes me a few days jusy to get back to my normal self. It's sucky

  • @TKaiser91 very much sucky :pensive: I'm very sensitive these days emotionally and DH has been begging me to play Resident Evil with him (he's too scared to play it alone lol) and I refused. I do not need nightmares about zombies kidnapping LO :joy:

  • Every. Two. Hours. No matter what.
I'm on the same boat... 1.5-2 hours every night... last night I got 3 hours in one stretch and I feel like a new woman today!
haha yes! 3 hrs is a victory in my book!
  • @TKaiser91  I'm so sorry you are going through so much with this pregnancy! Scares are just awful awful but I'm so glad LO decided to act up at the end of your appt to at least give you some peace of mind. Lots of hugs, the nice awkward, creepy ones! <3

    @mrstrax  ugh, so sorry!!!!
  • @elasticheart13 I wont do anything zombie related for the remainder of this pregnancy because DH watched World War Z a while back and I couldn't sleep because of it. I was so paranoid that there was going to be a zombie apocalypse that night. Paranoia at its finest lol

  • @emgee27 Thank you :) I just don't do well pregnant. I had problems with DD too, so I've decided 2 kids is plenty (instead of the original 7 I wanted) my mom even made a comment the other day that I'm just "not a good breeder" she said it as a joke and no offense was taken but it was still like, thanks mom :/ that's exactly what I want to hear after I get back from the hospital even if it is true

  • Well we all saw this coming I guess... I hate that Florida is a closed party primary state. I'm registered libertarian so I couldn't vote today even if I wanted to.
  • @redselig Humans in general are pretty fucking dumb.

  • I fell asleep around midnight, and woke up around 2. I can't sleep even through I'm exhausted. How much longer is this going to last???
  • @Knottie9983816  I finally fell asleep around midnight and now I've been up since 4am because my stomach was growling.

The early early morning news and a bowl of cereal have become my friends.
  • Less than an hour of sleep last night, which makes 8 hours total in the past 3 nights. I got up, got ready for work, drove to the train station, burst into tears, and turned back around and went home. Laid back down... still no sleep.

    Shoot. Me. Now.

  • I've never slept as well as I did with those nose strips. DH told me there was zero snoring. Success

I hear they are great during labor too!

    3 miscarriages - 1 DS (6) - 1 DD (3)  - #3 due March 30!

  • @elasticheart13
I've been using them for a few weeks now. I take a few nights off here and there because I think they leave a pink stripe on my nose but I can definitely tell a difference and I think SO appreciates them as well.

And for distance running, in case anyone was wondering.

You are officially the only person that is allowed to complain to me about not getting enough sleep. I've been getting about two hours a night for a couple weeks and thought I made some progress because I passed out earlier than usual (around midnight) Nope! Woke up at 2AM and have been awake since. My fiancé's response was priceless, "Well you're the one who has been napping everyday." No. No I haven't asshole. I can't sleep during the day anymore either, and it effing blows. Tonight I'm taking a Benadryl and God help everyone if I don't get more than two hours of sleep tonight.
  • Man, why is sleeping so painful now? I feel worse than the day after I climbed Mt. Rainier or the day after I went snowboarding for the first time and literally fell on my ass all day long.

Lol I was thinking this morning how it almost feels worse to sleep. Every time I wake up in the middle of the night, my pelvis crackles, my gut hurts, my back hurts. I feel like an 80 year old man every morning.
    image
  • It's definitely very painful to sleep but I am such a heavy sleeper that I actually manage to sleep through everything. It's only in the morning when I wake up that I feel the consequences of that. I can't complain though as I manage to get 6 hours of sleep despite the pain. I would go crazy with only two hours of sleep :no_mouth: :sleepy:

I was getting to that point and my body went: You know what would feel even BETTER? No sleep. Like at all! Let's try that!

My body hurts worse than the day after running a half marathon, fracturing my right foot and driving nine hours on it. Or after any two week production I've been in as a dancer.

    Wtf body... Just wtf.
  • I agree, I always wake up really sore from bed and it takes a little bit for my body to stop creaking and get it's circulation going.

@yodiggity I'm so grateful for the extensive lessons I got in early high school on note-taking, it has helped me so much in life. My 9th grade English teacher used to yell all the time, 'get the bullet points, you are not stenographers!!'
  • DS forced me to go to bed early last night, hoping it would help me get a little bit of extra sleep. For the most part, it actually worked. I think I've actually been sleeping more in one sitting since we moved. I still wake up at least once a night and before my alarm.

A coworker just asked me if I'm feeling all right. Apparently I "look paler than usual." In general, I'm vampire white, so being any paler than that should say something. I'm not sick, just in pain.

  • Rolling over and getting out of bed is the hardest part lately for me.
I seriously have a hard time sitting up and rolling over is a fiasco.
If I lay too much on my side/belly she kicks the shit out of me till I roll farther on my back

I have found the closing my legs together before attempting rolling has helped immensely. And maybe try putting a flatter pillow under your bump?

So I was listening to the radio the other day on my way to work and the discussion was all about cereal. They were having people call in and tell what their fave cereal was and could only pick ONE.
Since I have been KU cereal has been my snack or dinner if I'm feeling lazy.
DH and I disagree big time about our cereal choices and the whole discussion made me laugh.

I was curious about others so...as a late GTKY:

If you could only pick ONE cereal to eat for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Mine would be multigrain Cheerios as boring as it sounds , that shit is delicious.

DH said hands down Golden Grahams.
