2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Heartbeat check tomorrow. I might see if the midwife can use the little handheld ultrasound for a quick peek at baby too
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Woke up with a headache and feeling nauseous today. Is it second tri yet?
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? I can walk to the beach and I can also see the city skyline!

1. How far along are you? 10 weeks today
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My first apt/US is WEDNESDAY! I'm starting to freak out.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Man this nausea. The last couple days have been brutal. Randomly dry heaving through out the day? Not cool.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? It's basically sunny and 80-85 degrees maybe 90% of the time and I love it.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Wednesday!! Our first U/S! So nervous and excited!!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: This nausea can kick rocks! It's been awful lately. But I know it'll all be worth it!
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? We are close to both Boston and NYC so it's always nice to take trips into either city.
TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year.
BFP 02-15-16 with our first
IT'S A BOY!!!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I just need to get past the nucal scan and hopefully I will breathe a tiny bit easier. But I'm a worrier by nature so we'll see.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: This whole "wait 4 whole weeks (2 weeks now) before you get another ultrasound/doppler/confirmation is terrible! Especially since this is the same wait that at the next scan we discovered the mmc. Just breathe right? Also, I'm with @PeggyOlsonFTW is it 2nd tri yet? This "seasickness" is only getting worse and I'm over it.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? The people are awesome but the hiking is sublime! Such changable terrain! Rolling prairie, river edge cliffs, the Badlands, and the mountains (highest elevation east of the Rockies is here)
2. first obgyn appt on Thursday. never got that far (been seeing an RE)
3. it's cold it's raining and I'm exhausted and nauseous and have to be at court for work today.
4. same as @peggyolsonftw and wondering if we mean the same city LOL
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? The NT scan on April 8. I have one appointment before then but it's just for the glucose test, so...meh.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm starting to feel way better and my energy is somewhat retuning. Hallelujah!
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? We live in a small town with a great town center that we can walk to (lots of restaurants and coffee shops), but we're also only about 40 minutes from Boston.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? next u/s is in 3 weeks!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: well I got the symptoms based assurance I was hoping for- in the form of nausea and vomiting. Be careful what you wish for, hey? Really hoping my jello and weak tea stays down this morning. Unfortunately I have a really physical day ahead of me
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? The Wisconsin winters stink, but summer and fall really make up for it! At least we have the Packers to get us through the first half of winter.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My NT scan at 12 weeks (and my doppler should be arriving in the mail today).
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Rant! I noticed on Friday that I developed an ugly rash on my face. It didn't get better and my glands were swollen so I went to urgent care on Saturday. Apparently it's a bacterial infection so I'm on antibiotics (the safest ones I can take but not exactly an ideal situation for me). I'm feeling better today but still look like a monster. I need everyone at work to leave me alone today!
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? It's not my favorite place in the world, but living in a university town has perks like good restaurants and a good art scene. We have a 5 year plan to move back home so we're kind of just biding our time here.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I go to the doctor next Tuesday..
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Rant: I had a PGAL freak out last night after not being able to find the baby on the doppler for four days.. last time that happened, I had a m/c at 13+2. So, I drove myself to the ER because I wouldnt be able to get into the office until Wednesday and I would have been a wreck by then. I felt like the hot mess that I was and then I felt silly for being there. The doppler is put away. Rave: Baby is fine and I saw and heard its hb at 170 bpm. I saw it move its little hand and I died a little.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? Family is close by.. no one is really more than five minutes away. It's really nice having everyone so close by.
I worry that I'll become doppler reliant but at the moment I can't pick up anything on the regular so it's a nice surprise when last week I randomly found an amazingly loud heartbeat. Of course it moved and then I couldn't find it again. I'm trying to only pull it out the day before a doctor's visit but yeah... the PGAL paranoid is big with this one (me)
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? We are waiting on the results of my cfDNA test, probably getting them mid-week next week, so beyond optimism and hope that nothing atypical is flagged, can't wait to find out our baby's sex!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Starting to feel like I'm getting into the pregnancy groove but the nausea has kicked up in such a major way over the last week+ that it's just miserable...though I'm not complaining because I'm so happy to have symptoms, even as I cry on the bathroom floor...I keep hoping that I'll be able to eat like a normal person soon, but nervous that when that day comes I'm going to be an anxiety ball! One day at a time, right?
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? If I had a magic wand, I'd probably choose to live in a more temperate, less expensive part of the country, but I do love our town--it has such a nice sense of community--and it's great to have such easy access to a major city while still feeling like we have room to breathe.
@PeggyOlsonFTW hope you get to see the little one on ultrasound again! My job involves use of ultrasound for procedures and I keep looking at it during my shifts just completely tempted to use it on myself....but I know its too early. I'm crazy.
1. How far along are you? 7 weeks
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First appointment Wednesday. Hoping for an US. Trying not to worry too much until then, but who am I kidding?
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Still not many pregnancy symptoms, which continues to feed my crazy. Once I can see a heartbeat I'll probably be much more relaxed and thankful that I'm not constantly sick.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? We have beaches and beautiful summers, and we live about 2 hours from three major cities if we want to just get out of town for the day.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? The 9 week mark!! We ordered the sonoline b this past weekend. I'm hoping to hear the heartbeat at home to tide me over until our next u/s (not for another 6 weeks). It looks like you can start hearing the heartbeat with a doppler around the 9 week mark. Is this about right for other women who have done this? I don't want to try too early.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I have never made it this far before. Half of me is so excited, and thankful we saw the heartbeat last Friday. Then the other half of me is just waiting for bad news and something to go wrong. Ugh!! I'm hoping the doppler we ordered will calm down my nerves a bit. The PGAL brain is really messing with me today.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? It's almost cherry blossom season, and it becomes so beautiful here!! I can't wait to walk around and enjoy the view. There's always stuff to do, and we really enjoy this city.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
Wednesday I have my first ultrasound!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I finally feeling like this pregnancy is moving along slowly. The first two weeks seemed to drag.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? We live in a countryish style setting but only are 45 minutes from NYC. I like the quiet here but knowing we are close to some hustle and bustle.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? 12 weeks and then our appoint with the perinatologist on the 25th for a scan.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Seems like i'm finally getting over this flu, which is good, but sucks that i'm back to work tomorrow. I just want to be feeling good and like myself again.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? Our families are close by. My parents and grandparents are 1.5 miles, his parents are 2 miles, his sister is about 2.5 miles and my sister is only 45 mins away. We also have tons of extended family in the area. We're also super close to NYC and only about 3 hours from Boston (where my best friend lives).
2. Announcing our pregnancy. I've never gotten that far before. I'm so excited, I'm tempted to announce early. But most everyone I know waits till 12 weeks. I *think* I can wait till Easter.
3. I think I'm going to officially be put on bed rest after my trip to the ER this weekend.
4. I'm not happy with where I live now. We moved here not realizing the town had gone downhill. But my parents did just move back to MI so I'm glad to be close to them again.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Getting blood drawn this Friday for the maternal blood tests, then next ultrasound for NT on April 4
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I was so excited about this pregnancy. I just wanted to tell everyone. I couldn't wait until our scan when I would get to hopefully see a baby (blighted ovum last time) and get to make my announcements and then all of the things I would do with my mum. Maybe it's been this horrifying week of virus + morning sickness, maybe it's the weird reality setting in seeing a stranger on the ultrasound screen, but I am NOT excited anymore and am totally questioning my (years in the making) decision to have a kid. No, I do not want anything to happen to this pregnancy, and am pretty certain I'd try again if it did. I'm hoping by the end of this week (spring break for me) I'll be rejuvenated enough to face my life again. Also I'll only have two more weeks of first trimester after that. I have a pretty good idea that I'll be a lot more positive if I could only feel better.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? Family being close by - even if I rarely see them, I know they are there and available. I HATE traveling. It's also not too terribly populated here, and I dislike people. Some very pretty greenery - which I actually like! (Even though I have allergies.)
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? We have our ultrasound for our NT scan on the 31st.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I've been trying to submit my maternity leave but every time I get the guts, I quickly lose them haha. I'm going to try again today and just go for it. I want the office to be prepared for when I leave because I do the reporting and invoicing by myself every month.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? The cost of living lol We used to live in the Silicon Valley and the rent is ridiculous. We moved to the valley about 2 years ago and we can actually afford things. We've started vacationing every year. The only thing that sucks is the commute, but it's worth it to us.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
Ultrasound today!! I'm really excited and nervous and also not looking forward to filling up with water! Just hoping for good measurements and strong heartbeat.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Just tired of bringing something for lunch then not wanting to eat it by lunchtime. Just like everyone else I'm ready for the 2nd tri!
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? I live in between farms and mountains so I love not being right in the middle of business. Def not a city girl.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Telling family on Easter Sunday, then hearing little Riley's heartbeat on April 1st
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: life is great! Nothing to complain about!!!
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? Everyone comes here for conferences so we see all of our friends from other states about once a year
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First OB appt w/US next Tuesday at 9+2
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm starting to feel a little blue. I don't know if it's hormonal or just the constant anxiety taking it's toll. I've had a beige/tan CM happen on and off and even though it's gone away every time, when I see it come back I always think, "this is it, this is the time it's going to turn into bleeding". It's just exhausting. I'm also pretty sick of hearing everyone say "just relax, everything will be fine". If it were that easy, this wouldn't be an issue. Also, I've had very minimal symptoms. I keep telling myself I'm just one of the lucky ones. We saw the heartbeat at 6+2 and everything looked great but I really thought I would have at least one strong symptom by now and the mild symptoms are starting to worry me. PGAL brain is winning today.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? We're very centrally located. A couple of hours from the beach in one direction and mountains in the other. About an hour from DC, a short train ride to NYC, and about 20 mins outside a major city. Close to lots of historical locations as well.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Ultrasound and FINALLY seeing this little bean!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Had my first OB appointment this morning. Overall it went really well -- I really liked the midwife that I met with. She was very clear in her explanations, very understanding of my anxieties, and she didn't mention anything about my weight other than to note that I should stay on the lower range of recommended weight gain guidelines. No ultrasound or other reassurance about the viability of the pregnancy yet but hopefully all the bloodwork they took will come back looking good. She did recommend that we come in for an ultrasound ASAP to get some reassurance, but unfortunately DH is traveling for work all of this week and next week, and I'd really like him to be there. They can get us in on Saturday the 26th, but I think it will just be with one of the handheld machines that can't even really pick up a heartbeat until close to week 12. They did offer to send me to a diagnostic ultrasound place where I could be seen ASAP with a fancy machine, but I'd just feel really guilty going without DH, and I think any bad news would hit even harder if he weren't there with me.
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? I really love the overall quality of life in my community. Good schools, good medical care, good sports teams, lots of culture and history.
@PeggyOlsonFTW - Enjoy the heartbeat check tomorrow!
@kmolletz - Good luck at your appointment! I am so jealous of your heat.

@depineta - I'm so sorry you're dealing with that! Hope you do get left alone today so that you can do your work in peace and then get home to rest.
@cbamama641 - I'm so jealous you got to see a little wave! So glad the baby's doing well.
@kateleap - Hope you feel better soon!
@Wishilivedinflorida - Good luck at your appointment and I hope you get to see your baby!
@pupatella - I hope you can find a way to calm your anxiety! Hopefully the doppler helps but I'm sure @cbamama641 would tell you not to freak out too much if you can't find a heartbeat with it right away. :-)
@boymom44 - Enjoy your ultrasound!
@Tara0604 - Hope you continue to feel better!
@krzyriver - Hooray for announcing! I'm sorry about the bedrest though -- can I ask why?
@rainmira9e - I think we all have moments when we wonder what the heck we have gotten ourselves into, even if things are going well. FX that you settle in soon and that you start feeling better!
@vanessa11411 - Do it!!!!! Hope everything goes well!
@wegme27 - Enjoy your ultrasound!

@MRSCORKER - I understand the anxiety, but I really do think it's the same sort of discharge that's very common in pregnancy and that a lot of us are getting. It can be hard to convince ourselves that things are normal when we've been through the worst before, though. Hopefully @PeggyOlsonFTW's information on leukorrhea will help ease your mind a bit!

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Getting past where I had my loss, 10 weeks!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I've been having random weird cramps in my vagina. It's driving me bonkers!
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? We're so close to DC and only 3 hours from the beach. I also love the schools and our new neighbors!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First trimester appt next week
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Yesterday was the EDD from my mc pregnancy last year. I didn't have symptoms of mc before we found out in the 12th week so I'm pretty miserable right now thinking how much I do not want to go through that again, in addition to being extremely sick and tired among other symptoms....although, last time my symptoms definitely weren't this bad so I'm tricking myself into thinking that's significant just to get myself through the next couple weeks...if all goes well, I'm kind of excited to get a doppler and snoogle pillow then!
4. GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? There's a lot nearby so, once I feel up to it again, looking forward to going to restaurants, shopping, the city, down the shore, etc!

Next milestone you're looking forward to? Hearing baby's heartbeat. I do not know when this will be. I don't have it scheduled and I also want an ultrasound. Where I live you only get one ultrasound and it is at 20 weeks!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Second trimester is so close!
GTKY: What's the best thing about where you live? All my family live close by and it's not crowded in the city. Also Spring is coming to Winnipeg and can't wait for the snow to be gone and wear cute summer dresses.

2. Getting my Doppler so I can try to hear baby...also hoping to see a bump soon so I can know I'm pregnant
3. Getting upset that I don't feel pregnant and have no twinges or belly...no real sign that I'm pregnant other than the ultrasound a week ago..making me worried baby isn't in there growing ..
