Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: thinking my month long cold may be a sinus infection.. ugh. Rave: leftover cake from H's birthday for breakfast Symptoms: getting sore from all her kicking. I don't think she slept last night..
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Bathroom reno and nesting. ETA I also had a dream I pushed for 2 minutes with this one and she was out so, ya know.. totally going to happen, right?
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you once you have your LO?: H only in the delivery room when it's time and I'm sure parents and friends will visit in the recovery room.
Hope it's ok I started this today; I'm never online on time to get in early!
How far along are you? 25 weeks and 6 days
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I have a chest infection I think because I'm coughing up and have pain. As if sleeping wasn't hard enough! Rave: I'm feeling good energy wise right now so am trying to make the most of it by getting things done in the house . Symptoms: still have back pain but chiropractic is really helping. Also have minute by minute compulsions to eat chocolate. Totally the baby!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I cleaned out his room and put the pack n play in there and set it up. Figured it will stop me buying a crib because I want to see how it pans out with my toddler first and whether I will put her to a bed of her own.
GTKY: who will be in the delivery room: right now the plan is that it will be my husband but he works a couple of hours away so I may need to have my mom there and arrange a babysitter for DD because my labor was fast first time round even with a complication.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: It may only be 9am, but I am seriously craving a bologna sandwich (because I'm 6, apparently)...but, I have no sandwich stuff here. And the rain is really putting a damper on my week off. Rave: Not at work! That's enough to make me smile right now! Symptoms: Heartburn. Crazy dreams that are super realistic...creeps me out. Some pretty intense RLP the last 2 days.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? My parents found a vintage metal "Jackson St" sign while cleaning out their basement (they have one hung on their wall surrounded by family photos...apparently they actually had 2). I'm going to go get it & spray paint it white, then use navy blue chalk paint to do the letters & border for the nursery. We have a "J" hung on his wall so I don't really want it put IN the nursery...but maybe for his door. Cute, or stupid!?
Questions? YES! Talk to me about bacne. I never got it prior to pregnancy, & now my back is an itchy disaster. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of it?! I'm counting down to maxi dress season, but I won't feel comfortable rocking anything too open with this crap all over my back.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you once you have your LO? H & I actually haven't discussed this in a long time, so I'm not sure where we stand. I'll have to bring it up today. My understanding is that it will be my H & my mom. I'd also be happy with just H if it means that much to him for it to just be us, but I think he knows how much I lean on my mom, & how helpful she would be. I think she'd offer a different level of support than he would...& really, I feel like he might be a bit scattered. A lot of ground rules would be in place, which I know my mom would respect.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: My coworker is driving me BSC. I told her that I don't feel well and that I am exhausted and she has spent the last hour and a half talking my ear off. Rave: Too tired to rave about anything. Symptoms: Have I mentioned that I am tired?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing today
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: H and my doula will be in the delivery room. I was hoping to have no one in the recovery room for a while except for H, LO, and I but we are still working that out.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: No real rants or raves....just feeling blah. Symptoms- Hormones are kicking my butt making me depressed and mood swings.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating..
Questions?
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: I'm going to let my Mom be there while I'm in labor, but only H when I'm actually pushing and for a couple hours after birth to give the 3 of us to bond and do skin to skin. Won't go over well with Mom, but oh well. He'll look the same a couple hours later as he did when first born, just cleaner.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: No real rants that I haven't shared in the monday bitchfest or the people are strange when you're pregnant threads... basically I'm just getting bigger everyday and everyone around me is feeling the need to tell me that like I don't realize it on my own! But I feel pretty good this week so theres that. Raving that I caved & bought maternity underwear (can't give up the thongs) I ordered Motherhood brand off amazon for like $3 a pair and I'm kicking myself that I didn't do this sooner, way more comfortable all day long! Also didn't check in over the weekend/yesterday but had a lovely weekend showering my cousin and one of my close friends at their 2 baby showers this weekend. My friend did a gender reveal at hers as well & is having twin boys! That was very exciting to share in with them. There were over 100 women at her shower (for twins!) so there were hundreds of presents to open but it was a lovely day. It was also nice to be around other pregnant ladies that I'm close with to share our experiences instead of stranger commentary
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Added more stuff to my registry this weekend after having seen some cute /necessary things that my cousin/friend got this weekend at their showers!
Questions?
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Just me & DH. Our families will be in the waiting room & we will allow them in after skin to skin time/ we get cleaned up but they will all be there waiting. I know this seems to bother a lot of other women on the Bump but I've been in the waiting room when all of my nieces/nephews have been born (everyone in my family stays team green) so its such an exciting time to share in when the Dad comes out & says "Its a _____!!!" I'm excited for that moment for my DH (and for someone to video it for me!!!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Decent sleep last night due to my husband volunteering to sleep on the couch so I could have room to sprawl out on the bed. I miss..my bed..I didn't want to get up
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating..
Questions?
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO? Delivery room will be my husband and the midwife. After I've slept and rested with the baby, I might let visitors come in..we'll see.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: it's only Tuesday and the rest of my team decided to not come in and I can't get on the Internet on my work computer so I'm mobile bumping which I'm not a fan of - it keeps telling me I don't have permission. Rave: looking forward to going home and not doing anything and just hang out with my puppy. Symptoms: back ache, tired, stuff n stuff
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: My husband only in delivery. Parents and siblings there once we are ready for them a few hours after birth I think.
Me - 33, DH - 33 Married - May 2014 DH - Low Count/Motility/Morph - Varicocele vein x 2 - surgery (8/11) - success! BFP - 10/10/15, EDD - 6/20/16 - It's a BOY! Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Sleep issues.... Also contractions and the new med is giving me headaches
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Taking it one day at a time
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Delivery room - just H regardless if c section or vaginal. Recovery - probably alone while H is with babies in NICU. My mom will have DS. Slight chance I'll ask my sister.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Lots of pregnancy dreams...yesterday was about unsuccessful breast feeding. Sigh.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Reading lots of books.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: H, the doctor (hopefully) and maybe my sister but I'm not sure.
@DeePaddy24 I think the sign sounds cute! I'd probably put it in the nursery, even with the J.
How far along are you? 26w3d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: The scale keeps going up. Rave: our annual St Pat's party is this weekend! Rant 2: forecast says rain. Symptoms: feeling gross and full all the time. I can feel the first hints of heartburn lurking.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: OR for me. And it will only be H. Only H allowed last time as well. As for recovery, I don't much care, but likely won't allow kids aside from DD.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Struggling to find my energy again. Rave: Coffee. I heart coffee. Symptoms: Crappy sleep, can't get comfortable, peeing all the time, RLP, pelvic pain, pressure, sore feet. I feel like I'm having a bit more anxiety lately too.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Likely just H and I. I contemplated whether or not I'd want to have my mom and sister there too, but ultimately I want that to be a special time that H and I share with baby. I'm also with @MsBeachNJ and think it will be exciting for H to be able to go announce to everyone whether baby is a boy or girl!
@DeePaddy24 - The sign will turn out so cute! I think it'll be a nice touch on the nursery door! Or put the letter on the door and the sign in his room? @MeganF08 - Sorry about the chatty coworker. Just slowly back away or act like you got an important email! Or, punch her @Diesel615 - Good luck with the mom situation! We were worried about my mom with DS and she actually did a lot better than we thought. Didn't fight when I asked her to leave and didn't come in until I told her it was okay afterward. @MsBeachNJ - 100 people at a shower? Sounds long but exciting! I'm sure it's nice to have all that support with twins!! @Huskerfanz - Sorry you're having a rough few weeks.. Hopefully they keep cooking a little longer and the medicine stops giving you headaches!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I've gotten used to my baby being very wiggly, but for the last day or so s/he has been quieter - still movements, just not so much of them. I'm thinking s/he might have changed positions (which would be good, I'm needing him/her to flip head-down pretty soon here), so that might be part of it, but it makes me nervous. Rave: The weather is finally nice, and despite the near-constant rain, I'm super thrilled. I can open the windows! And not wear sweaters constantly! Symptoms: I'm starting to get hints of nausea back again. Not cool. Go away!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I've been trying to work through a backlog of sewing for the summer that I'm positive I won't have time to deal with once the baby arrives. It's not technically -for- the baby, but whatever.
I also have all my boxes of baby clothes downstairs in the living room because I need to sort them, except they've actually been sitting there for almost three weeks. Oops.
Questions? Umm. Is anyone else starting to worry about their baby's position? I spent a few hours last week investigating the spinningbabies website, and have started doing an inversion every evening, but nothing more specific yet. Just angsting otherwise.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you once you have your LO? I'm planning a home birth, so this is actually something I have to work out soon because my midwife requires that anyone we are planning to have there with us attend a meeting beforehand to make sure there aren't going to be any surprise problems with antagonistic family members or something. The biggest question right now is whether or not we want to have my 5-year-old daughter in the house or not at the time, and if we do, who to have come over to hang out and help her with anything while my husband and I are otherwise occupied. A few close family friends or my mother are the best candidates probably, but I haven't actually talked to anyone about this yet, so it's up there on my priority list.
@DeePaddy24 It really creeps me out how much of twins we can be!! I was just telling H last night I was craving a bologna sandwich but we had no bologna I think the sign will be absolutely adorable!!
How far along are you? 25+3
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: The horrible sleeping is driving me crazy. I can't fall asleep and then I wake up constantly it's awful! Rave: I need to go shopping tonight for my mom's birthday and I'm going to try and find a grandma Pandora Charm and a picture frame for the ultrasound that says "love at first sight." Symptoms: Not sleeping, heartburn, I can't even think because I'm to tired
What are you doing to prepare for baby? H still won't give me the names he supposedly has picked out because every time I ask him I get a bad attitude and then he gets mad. So my plan is to be super nice today and hope he tells me or I'm going to lose it!!
Questions? I thought of a question this weekend and was waiting until the week since more people post but of course I forget the question now. I'm hoping it comes back to me
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Ugh H and I briefly discussed this a while ago but I quickly dropped it when we disagreed. We agreed our families can visit while I'm in labor as long as I don't get too annoyed. I know my family wants to be there so I can't say no to his family. Once I hit actual delivery time I want H and my mom in there but H wants just him so we will see. As for recovery I'm fine with whoever wants to visit as long as I don't get overwhelmed
@DeePaddy24: Bacne? Yep, got it, too-ugh. Mine seems to be clearing some at this point, and I've been washing my back with the Belli cleanser (same stuff use for my face).
How far along are you? 24w6d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Tired, tension headache, eating all the things.
Rave: 80+ degrees today? Yes, please!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nursery paint
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Aside from obvious medical staff, H only. We've told family already that we've decided H will let everyone know when we get admitted to the hospital, and he'll provide updates as necessary. Then, some time after baby is born and we're ready for visitors, we'll let them know when we're ready for them to come to the hospital. Seemed to go over well, but frankly I wouldn't care if it didn't.
@MrsB8214 Haha, crazy! Twins! Also, if you happen to find a Grandma or a Nana Pandora charm let me know! I looked at Christmas & wasn't able to find anything, so I just got my mom a baby carriage charm.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I'm just so uncomfortable already- lots of belly pressure, hungry- eat a tiny bit, feel like crap, then hungry again 20 minutes later. Lather, rinse, repeat. Horrendous crotch pain, can't breathe well. I'm a ball of lovely Rave: Like @mrsschmity....coffee!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Will get my registry completion coupon today, so I think we may head to Target tonight to get the rest of what we need.
Questions? Nope
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Just me and H. His family lives 1200 miles away and mine is about 800 miles away. We also want our kids to meet baby before anyone else does, but I'm sure we'll have friends visit at some point in the hossy.
@huskerfanz- I hope the headaches go and stay away!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Peeing. ALL. THE. TIME! Ugh. But my energy level is not bad lately so I can't complain too much. Occasional heart burn. I don't think I've experienced any Braxton hicks yet, although my doctor keeps asking if I have.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Setting up the nursery, washing clothes that we've been given hand me down and nesting. I have an uncontrollable urge to throw away everything and clean (so not me lol).
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: My MIL asked before we even conceived our little girl if she could be in the delivery room because she missed her daughters births. I originally said yes but now I'm sort of rethinking it because if she's in there then I have to at least allow my own mother and possibly my step mom(I'm lucky enough to be equally close to all three moms). I love them all but I'd also love to experience that first few minutes with just my husband and I.
I have one more rant to add, and I'll probably post this in the names thread also.
From very early on in my pregnancy H and I have had a boys name nailed down. It's both of our dads' names combined for a first & middle name, and we both love it. I never thought we'd have an issue with it or have to have additional conversations about it.
Fast forward to last night. H asked me what I was thinking for a nickname. I don't have much of an opinion on a nickname, but apparently we can't use "Bobby" or "Robby" as a shortened version of Robert because MIL used to date a Bobby who was abusive and it had a pretty significant impact on her. I've heard the awful stories and can understand somewhat, but now H is having second thoughts and wants to consider another boys name if he can't use Bobby or Robby as a shortened version of his potential son's name. I don't even want to consider another name and I'm irritated at the whole thing.
@tjenkins528 Love the
dream. Hopefully it is a reality for you
@DeePaddy24 Enjoy your week off! I think the sign sounds cute for the door or
in the nursery too
@MsBeachNJ You already answered my question for the day! And what necessary things did you see at the
showers that you hadn’t thought of before?
Just curious as an FTM J
@Huskerfanz Sorry that the new medicine is giving you
headaches. Hopefully it does its job
though and keeps those babies cooking!
How far along are you?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptoms/Rave: Baby was so active yesterday; usually I only
feel him when I’m relaxing in the evening or in the middle of the night/early
morning, but I felt him all day yesterday.
Rant: My bump is starting to
get in the way of my undies and making them a bit uncomfortable.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing special today
Questions? Any favorite maternity undies?
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or
recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Just me, H, and whoever the hospital needs
there
As an update to yesterday’s
rant: H talked to his dad last night, and he now understands that he won’t be
in the waiting room during the delivery.
He agreed that he won’t come until we call him and say we are ready for
him to visit. Yay for H talking to him
about it!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Today is my long day at school today. I'm there until 10:00. Ugh. Rave: It's the last week until Spring Break. I also got a bonus check yesterday that covered all but $2 of what I spent at Target on my psycho nesting splurge. So that was great.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Purging. I have a huge box to donate ready to go and another one of stuff I'll try to sell first.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: I want H and I in the delivery room only. I've given a lot of thought as to the waiting room and I mean I guess if people want to wait, they can but they aren't allowed in the room while I'm laboring or until I decide I'm ready for visitors. I want some time with this baby and H alone. As far as the recovery room, I truthfully don't care who comes to visit me. I have a huge family that I'm very close to and I know they're all excited. The more people that come see us in the hospital, the less that will hopefully bug me on our first few days home.
As far as things I saw/hadn't registered for... nothing earth shattering, but I added things like a bouncer, a walker, a bottle warmer, some tote bag coolers for bottles, and some baby necessities like scratch mittens, socks, etc.
I'd like to start a shower thread on here in another week or so once more of us start to have their showers where people can share their pictures, themes, experiences, favorite gifts etc. I thought about doing it yesterday but it seemed like it may be too early - when are most people having their showers?

I think that's a great idea! Mine is still forever away...my mom & MIL have planned it for June 5. Cue the anxiety attack!
BUT, that gives me lots of time to play around with my registry when I see what cool necessities all you ladies get!

I think my mom and sister are throwing mine in Mid April but I really don't know if that's confirmed or not
@BlueJuice My last appointment my doc told me the baby was
breach. He wasn’t worried about it then but said if he still hadn’t turned by
my next appointment (which is today) we’ll have to work on some maneuvers to
get him to turn. So yea – I’m with you on the worry!!
How far along are you? 28w1d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave #1: The dog let us sleep in this morning and by sleep in, I mean I laid there wide awake with H's hand on my belly feeling baby have a dance party. Rave #2: Apparently with the way I wrap my arms around my snoogle, I've been consistently punching my H in the face in the middle of the night and I just think this is HILARIOUS. Rave #3: I have a doc appointment this afternoon so I get to see my little peanut on the big screen again! Rant: My rings are super tight this morning. Ugh. Symptoms: Runny nose, lots of burping/hiccuping, lots of snissing. Really nothing good.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Paint came yesterday so hopefully later this week/this weekend I can at least get the primer up in the nursery. I also had some closet dividers come over the weekend so I organized all the clothes in the closet according to size, yay!
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: H will be the only one in the delivery room itself and even then I told him he needs to be up at head level the whole time if possible. His best friend likes to constantly tell us about what he affectionately described as "exploding va-j" when his wife gave birth and to be honest, I'd like to maintain some semblance of a sex life after baby. My mom will probably be in town by the time baby comes - she was going to come out around jun 1 and I'm due the 6th, so I'll probably call her as soon as baby pops out and she can make the hour long drive to the hospital (this plan is definitely up for change).
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: My boobs are touching my belly when I sit curled up. Weirdest feeling ever. Also hungry all the time again.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing major today.
Questions?
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Just my husband and I. We don't want anyone in the waiting room although MIL really wants to be there. Not gonna happen. Recovery--depends on how we feel afterwards. I'm guessing I wouldn't mind very short visits as long as I can kick people out without feeling bad about it.
@ahernandez16 That's a good point about the more people that come to the hospital will be less likely to come to the house and bug us the first couple days! I've been back and forth about people visiting the hospital, but I'd rather people at the hospital where nurses can kick them out than my house where I have to rely on my wishy-washy, too nice H to say anything. Hmmm now I'm going to have to re-plan this!
@MsBeachNJ I like that idea. My shower is this weekend...we're having it early so my cousin can be there for it since her college will be on spring break. It also was intended so my evil grandfather's wife couldn't be there since they're in FL for the winter.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: The whole rompusroom family slept all night last night. (Rompusroom: a room full of beds- but not for fun- just so everyone can get some sleep- featuring a queen size four poster bed for daddy; a queen size mattress on the floor for mommy+ toddler and a toddler bed next to the floor mattress for toddler to pretend he goes to sleep in, but he really just cosleeps with mommy until he leaves for college!)
Anyway- we all slept well last night, all night.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I am buying new yoga pants because baby is outgrowing the pants I am wearing now. So many goddamn weeks left...
Questions: 1.Anyone else plan to modify their diet before birth? I am planning to stop dairy 4 weeks before my due date. Here's why: my son had terrible reaction to dairy while breast feeding for the first 12 weeks. IT took a while to get it out of mine and then his system once we discovered that was the problem. I am not going to do that with this little guy if I can avoid it. I will take ice cream and cheese donations up until May 21st. Thank you.
2. Anyone else know they are pre-destined for c-section? I know there is some stigma attached, but I want to be encouraging. It is a valid way to have a baby! I had a c-section last time, had a good experience with it and will be having one again this time.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Just baby daddy.
@crdo Good for you for maintaining your space and boundaries. I hate to tell you this, but I didn't want anyone there and my MIL + FIL came anyway. I was really uncomfortable. I found out recently that my MIL told other family members that she was going to butt in no matter what I said I wanted. This time the hospital will know that there are to be no visitors. It is sad that I have to go that far. I feel sad about it. @BlueJuice ooooo- what is in your backlog of sewing??? I'm so curious. I want to do my backlog of sewing... I have about 8 quilts that are nearly done (pathetic, I know!)
@DeePaddy24 BACNE is real. I have very mild upper back breakouts during pregnancy and I used Lush's Ocean Salt last pregnancy and this time I'm using a new Lush product Salted Coconut Hand Scrub which has the benefits of using salt to scrub and clear the acne but also moisturizes. I love it and the acne went away after one shower.
@hockeyfan42: We picked a light silvery gray called "French Silver" by Behr. We really like grays as a nice neutral, and this way our baby bedding is matched while all the decor we choose for accents will pop off the gray. Can't wait to paint this mofo this week!!
@Palisson: I'm a big believer in setting and sticking to boundaries. I'm sorry to hear you had such an annoying, uncomfortable experience with your ILs...I'll never understand people acting that way.
My MIL and FIL and I have tussled already about respecting our boundaries with this pregnancy. Case-in-point, they seemed to think "but we were excited!" justifies blabbing our baby news to the neighbors and church folk after we explicitly asked family to keep the news in the family. So, I'm hammering home our wishes on this. If they show up anyway before we're ready, I have no qualms about kicking them the hell out until we want them there, and "no visitors" will be in the birth plan. It is a shame that any of us have to be so firm, but it's their behavior issue, not ours.
My main worry is that MIL or someone will announce our baby's sex, arrival, and name on social media before we chpose to do so (we're team green). So, that's a whole other talk...I'll actually go BSC-warrior lady on that one.
(Dang, apparently I had a lot of opinions on this issue...novel alert!)
@MsBeachNJ: I like the shower thread idea. Mine are being held in the middle and end of April.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Tired, backache, hip pain, my underwear is no longer comfortable, and I'm a sweaty blobby mess. Everyone else is excited about these warmer temps, but I'd be good if it stayed 55 degrees until after this little guy is born! Also, I'm officially nesting, but the problem is I think my husband is too which is aggravating as I want to focus on certain things whereas he is trying to focus on non-baby-essential home improvements.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Crib, dresser, changing kit, and glider/ottoman are all built. We also put in a new pantry because once the cupboards are filled with bottles and little bowls and baby food and snacks, our lack of pantry wouldn't have worked.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?:
In the delivery room, it will be just me and H. I think it's important that we share that time and the bonding time right after together with no other interference. As far as the recovery room goes, after we've all rested a little I definitely want to see my mom and dad first, and then his parents and all our siblings can follow after that in whatever order they choose.
It is a shame that any of us have to be so firm, but it's their behavior issue, not ours.
it's their behavior issue, not ours is my new mantra
Also- I need to update my daily update:
I just ate an entire bag of maui onion flavored almonds
Daddy took baby to school without his lunch so daddy is at Smith's trying to re-create a multi-faceted lunch that may or may not contain anything that the 19 month old baby will possibly eat.
I will now go home and put the abandoned original lunch in the fridge so I don't have to make a fresh one tomo.
Oh! I just remembered a question I wanted to ask...it's kinda weird and random. Does anyone else feel like their baby is tickling them? It seriously feels like he's got his little fingers wiggling and tickling my insides. It's funky! If it's not tickling, what in the world is it??
@crdo Nice! I've brought home just about every gray and greige paint swatch HD offers. We're going with Aged Beige by Behr. Sights set on painting next week. Have fun!
@Palisson I'm having a repeat CS. Emergency CS the first go-round. My OB and I agreed that it's the best course of action for me and the baby. I DGAF about any stigma.

Ooh, pretty color! Yeah, we looked at what felt like allll the grays. Oof. Thanks, y'all have fun painting too!
Re: Tuesday check in!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: thinking my month long cold may be a sinus infection.. ugh. Rave: leftover cake from H's birthday for breakfast
25 + 3
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: It may only be 9am, but I am seriously craving a bologna sandwich (because I'm 6, apparently)...but, I have no sandwich stuff here.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: Struggling to find my energy again.
Rave: Coffee. I heart coffee.
Symptoms: Crappy sleep, can't get comfortable, peeing all the time, RLP, pelvic pain, pressure, sore feet. I feel like I'm having a bit more anxiety lately too.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?:
Likely just H and I. I contemplated whether or not I'd want to have my mom and sister there too, but ultimately I want that to be a special time that H and I share with baby. I'm also with @MsBeachNJ and think it will be exciting for H to be able to go announce to everyone whether baby is a boy or girl!
@MeganF08 - Sorry about the chatty coworker. Just slowly back away or act like you got an important email! Or, punch her
@Diesel615 - Good luck with the mom situation!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: I've gotten used to my baby being very wiggly, but for the last day or so s/he has been quieter - still movements, just not so much of them.
Questions?

How far along are you? 24w6d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Tired, tension headache, eating all the things.
Rave: 80+ degrees today? Yes, please!
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Nursery paint
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?:
Aside from obvious medical staff, H only.

Rant: I'm just so uncomfortable already- lots of belly pressure, hungry- eat a tiny bit, feel like crap, then hungry again 20 minutes later. Lather, rinse, repeat. Horrendous crotch pain, can't breathe well. I'm a ball of lovely
Rave: Like @mrsschmity....coffee!
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Will get my registry completion coupon today, so I think we may head to Target tonight to get the rest of what we need.
Questions?
Nope
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?:
Just me and H. His family lives 1200 miles away and mine is about 800 miles away. We also want our kids to meet baby before anyone else does, but I'm sure we'll have friends visit at some point in the hossy.
@huskerfanz- I hope the headaches go and stay away!
@deepaddy24- I think the sign sounds super cute!
@meganf08- if you have earbuds, just put them in while giving your coworker VERY DIRECT eye contact
@highfive16- ugh at the cold. Will you be going in soon to be checked?
28w1d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Peeing. ALL. THE. TIME!
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?:
My MIL asked before we even conceived our little girl if she could be in the delivery room because she missed her daughters births. I originally said yes but now I'm sort of rethinking it because if she's in there then I have to at least allow my own mother and possibly my step mom(I'm lucky enough to be equally close to all three moms). I love them all but I'd also love to experience that first few minutes with just my husband and I.
(Edited to change MiL to step mom)
@tjenkins528 Love the dream. Hopefully it is a reality for you
@DeePaddy24 Enjoy your week off! I think the sign sounds cute for the door or in the nursery too
@MsBeachNJ You already answered my question for the day! And what necessary things did you see at the showers that you hadn’t thought of before? Just curious as an FTM J
@Huskerfanz Sorry that the new medicine is giving you headaches. Hopefully it does its job though and keeps those babies cooking!
How far along are you?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptoms/Rave: Baby was so active yesterday; usually I only feel him when I’m relaxing in the evening or in the middle of the night/early morning, but I felt him all day yesterday. Rant: My bump is starting to get in the way of my undies and making them a bit uncomfortable.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing special today
Questions? Any favorite maternity undies?
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: Just me, H, and whoever the hospital needs there
As an update to yesterday’s rant: H talked to his dad last night, and he now understands that he won’t be in the waiting room during the delivery. He agreed that he won’t come until we call him and say we are ready for him to visit. Yay for H talking to him about it!

@BlueJuice My last appointment my doc told me the baby was breach. He wasn’t worried about it then but said if he still hadn’t turned by my next appointment (which is today) we’ll have to work on some maneuvers to get him to turn. So yea – I’m with you on the worry!!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rave #1: The dog let us sleep in this morning and by sleep in, I mean I laid there wide awake with H's hand on my belly feeling baby have a dance party.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?:
H will be the only one in the delivery room itself and even then I told him he needs to be up at head level the whole time if possible.
Questions?
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?:
Just my husband and I. We don't want anyone in the waiting room although MIL really wants to be there. Not gonna happen. Recovery--depends on how we feel afterwards. I'm guessing I wouldn't mind very short visits as long as I can kick people out without feeling bad about it.
Questions:
1.Anyone else plan to modify their diet before birth?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: We have "What to bring and do when you go into labor" class at our birthing center today. Sh*t is getting real.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I'm almost done with the nursery, just need to do some final things after my shower.
GTKY: Who will be in the delivery room and or recovery room with you when you have your LO?: DH and my doula

How far along are you?
26 W today!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Tired, backache, hip pain, my underwear is no longer comfortable, and I'm a sweaty blobby mess.
Also- I need to update my daily update:
@Palisson I'm having a repeat CS. Emergency CS the first go-round. My OB and I agreed that it's the best course of action for me and the baby. I DGAF about any stigma.
