@mandyjulie that's the thing that sucks about reality tv. It's supposed to be real but unfortunately some reality shows get over produced. I hope Ben wouldn't let that happen though.
Def watch UnREAL. The leads (Ben in this case) have very little control and get super manipulated. I mean I agree, I hope he wouldn't just say "I love you" to someone he completely doesn't love, but I'm betting he told producers he was close to being in love with both, and they totally preyed on that. I just really don't believe it was his idea to say it to both women.
@mandyjulie I've heard of that show. It comes on Lifetime, right? I feel like if I watch shows what expose all of the behind the scenes stuff it will completely ruin the show for me haha. I've watched the bachelor/bachelorette since I was 16 years old! It's sad they have to break a girls heart and lead her on just for good TV. But I do think Ben genuinely finds love!
@ashleighhughes Yes, Lifetime. It might sort of ruin it, not gonna lie. I also read Reality Steve, which spoils both the ending every season, and the insider stuff. I started to read that a few years back and it temporarily ruined it for me, I had to stop watching.
I think it was the season with Rozlyn, who had the "inappropriate relationship with a producer" -- notice that's all they said. They never say "had sex with" or "professed love to" or any specifics. There's a reason -- it was total BS. I googled it to remember this as it was years ago, but here's what happened:
"The network convinced Rozlyn to appear on the show by promising that she could speak to her young son often, and that they would fly him out as well. This never happened, and instead the producers urged Rozlyn not to tell Jake about her son, all while baiting the other women in the house (who knew that Rozlyn was a mother) to speculate about why Rozlyn would "hide" that information from The Bachelor. Feeling betrayed by the show, Rozlyn requested to leave, and so the producers concocted a more suitable exit storyline to heighten the drama and put the blame on her for her abrupt departure."
But a couple of years later I started watching again out of pure entertainment and with a grain of salt. But yeah I do believe in the end, they choose who they always wanted, and some find actual love, so that's nice
@mandyjulie I had no idea that's what really happened!
I do feel like it was not Ben's choice to say it to two women. I felt it was more sincere to Lauren. He said it too fast and straightforward to JoJo. I think if any guy knew the ramifications of saying it to two women, there would have been more struggle. No offense to Ben cuz he's a pretty great guy, but he's a little vanilla and they probably needed to throw in something that would be memorable.
@mandyjulie mainly I just can't wait for Olivia. Hahaha. She used to be the weekend newscaster for my local news channel- until she quit to be on the bachelor.
Woop woop! Totally called it! I knew Caila was gonna be the next bachelorette. I know she's a little boring but she's always happy and always has great hair!
I didn't see this! Her hometown is only about 15 min away from where I live. Hopefully she steps it up in the personality department though, otherwise it may be a boring season.
I felt bad for Olivia last night. No matter how crazy you are/edited to be, no one deserves to have horrible things said to you on social media.
Unfortunately, when you sign up to be on reality tv, it's just the risk you run. My question is, what newsroom is ever going to hire her to be an anchor again?

Are you near Hudson? My husband is from Westlake.
I work in Hudson! I was actually there the day they were filming the hometown date. It's the only reason I watched this season to be totally honest. Looks like they sucked me in for another season. I'd totally side eye the producers if I could see them in real life.

I felt bad for her too! I felt like all these girls were cattier than usual, especially those evil twins who had nothing to contribute to the show. I think when girls don't have a connection with the guy and have nothing going for themselves they go after a target to be relevant. Their jealousy is so apparent and sad. Like, Jami (who the f is she?) and Amber? Just wanted to be relevant. I know everyone talks crap about each other on these shows but these girls went above and beyond in attacking her
I think it's funny none of us felt bad while watching the episodes, but now after the Women Tell All we start to feel bad for Olivia. We're doing exactly what the producers want us to do! They're in our heads! Haha.
But really, I don't feel all that bad for Olivia. She was already a public persona, and then signed up for this, and acted like a dolt.
I like how she said "If there was a guidebook for how to be on the Bachelor, I would have read it" Um, honestly, it's not that hard. Just don't stir the pot. Don't talk about how amazing you are. Be down to earth. Follow Becca or JoJo's lead and make a few friends. They are the ones I'd want to hang out with IRL.
I did feel a bit bad for Olivia but I think she tried way too hard on the show and it obviously didn't come across the way she thought it would. I honestly believe she didn't make any effort to be friendly with the other women from the start and that really ruined it for her in the house. I did appreciate her apology to Amanda though. I thought it was sincere and warranted and I'm glad she took ownership of it.
Leah though, that girl is the kind of person who you don't need enemies if you have friends like her. Her excuses were pathetic and she seems totally disingenuous. I wouldn't trust her for anything.
Anyone having a fun Bachelor finale watching party tonight? I am going to a co workers house with a few other teachers to eat snacks and drink a virgin margarita! Yum, it's what is getting me through this Monday!
@abpl2014 how fun! I wish people in my neighborhood were into it like that! I get jealous whenever they crash viewing parties. It's usually just me, party of #1 or #3 when my cats join me, lol
I mean.. seriously. Also, my friend texted me that Reality Steve thinks Jojo will be the next bachelorette. What!
So glad producers changed their minds! They did Caila dirty though. They convinced her she was it but told her nah just last week. Guess they do that to someone every time though.
Maybe they saw how super hot Jojo was looking?! Damn girl.
I was really happy for the change of bachelorette! My guess is that they got so much negative feedback with Caila they went for the change. I don't mine her, I just didn't think she'd make an interesting bachelorette.
Was happy Ben picked Lauren. They are ridiculously cute together!
I would love to see Jojo be the next bachelorette. Caila was a snoozefest. And I think that the idea of consistently seeing Jojo in bikini might inspire me to lose the baby weight.
I'm glad it's not Caila, too! Ben and Lauren look really cute together. And I thought JoJo handled herself really well. If I was blindsided like that I probably would have a meltdown. I'm excited for the new season because Aaron Rodger's little brother is going to be on it!
If it had been Caila I'm not sure I would have watched but I really like Jojo so now I will make a point of watching. Ben and Lauren do seem happy. I'll be curious to see if it really goes on.
I'm totally in love with JoJo .. She's gorgeous and has the best personality in my opinion. So while I'm bummed she got hurt, I'm excited she'll be the next bachelorette
I'm only bummed out that they didn't pick a person of color like they said they would. It's about time but whatevs. Jojo is beautiful but she didn't do anything for me. But then again, neither did Lauren! I saw this and it made me laugh:
@Kellyj103 I read somewhere a little while back that the ABC exec who'd said they'd be choosing a person of color has since left or been fired, so... I had a feeling they wouldn't follow through.
@kellyj103 I wouldn't count on it . I think their ratings and buzz are very strong with their current formula. If they don't feel a financial hit by not addressing this, they won't change anything.
Now, if there happens to be a guy of color on Jojo's season who makes it far and people really like... then, sure, they will monopolize on that and make him the Bachelor, and toot their own horns like it was intentional. But until they stumble onto a guy or girl who makes it worth it to them, I don't see it happening.

I do think Sean and Catherine found real love! As well as Ashley and JP & Desiree and Chris!

All I know is I can't wait til the women tell all!!
