17+6 today and I *think* I have felt a few. Last night at my choir concert I felt quite a few during the solo of the mist amazing bass. I think the baby liked the music.
17 weeks today and haven't felt a thing (or at least I'm aware of) that is the baby. We had a gender ultrasound this week and our tech gave us video of the baby moving to show our families. Such a sweet gift to have!
I'm 17w6d and think l must have missed any flutters l felt because I'm pretty sure I'm feeling actual kicks now. They feel like bubbles popping. Unless these are flutters??? DH possibly felt one last night when I pushed his hand into my stomach as much as I could. But, I got so excited, contracted my stomach to sit up a little, and yelled, "Did you feel it!?" So, he's not sure now if it was the baby or my abs jumping.
Bubbles popping are the flutters. You'll know when there are actual kicks. I mean, flutters are caused by the same thing (baby moving) but when the baby is bigger you'll REALLY feel it
I'm a STM and I was feeling full fledged kicks from the outside around 18 weeks with my first. Prior to that (for a couple of weeks), I had what felt like little tappings from the inside. I never really had the "flutter" sensation. Maybe more like a fish flopping around (as @bannaners described), and I actually felt that really early on - about 14 weeks (and I swear, maybe as early as 12 weeks). I also had a posterior placenta for my first pregnancy which makes it easier to feel things.
@MSUgrad12 A muscle twitch is exactly what mine feel like!

18W 3D and I think I MAYBE felt baby early this morning. I was about 3 inches below my belly button, right in the center, and sorta felt like a popcorn kernel popping. Hoping I feel something very soon that I can for sure say is baby!
Hi All, I'm 18 weeks today and haven't felt anything yet (even though he is super active during ultrasounds). The doctor said its normal and first time moms usually start to tell the difference between baby and gas anywhere between weeks 17 and 22. Excited!
Music! So I was getting tired of waiting and lots of people suggested playing music. So I got my ear buds, cuz I don't have earphones, laid on my back, held them against my belly, and tried a few different types of music, Van Halen to Katy Perry and even Classical. Finally a Dubstep song with a good beat and I started feeling little taps, then I got a big one that spanned my whole belly and could even see it a bit from the outside! Oh hey there little. Nice to see you. Yesterday I was 19w1d.
DH(27) + Me (27) = 1/14 Baby #1: Aug. 2016 Baby #2: April 1st, 2018
I think I've been feeling him move around in the evenings after dinner, when we're just chilling on the couch watching TV. I'm a FTM so I'm not 100% sure... But it feels more like someone nudging me from the inside than it does gas. I'm 18+6 and the feeling has been getting stronger over the past week. So exciting!

OMG, have to try this tonight as well. Have felt strong kicks lately, but have not felt a single thing today...makes me nervous! 18W1D today:)
I felt it once during week 15 when I was sleeping and squished the baby with my knee and then the following week I have been able to actually feel it once a day at least. Starting at 16 weeks and 5 days! Sometimes I don't feel the baby at all though.
I am 16w5d now, I know I have been feeling flutters starting a few days ago but I didn't want to say for sure just in case, but this morning sitting at my desk, I knew for SURE that was baby. It's just little muscle twitches right where baby is, it's amazing! People say that FTM will mistake them for gas, but no...that's not what my gas feels like and not in the same place. haha. It's so cute! I get so excited when I feel them.
I found out today that I have an anterior placenta (which both twins share), so they think it might be a while before I really feel anything. She said probably not til about 20w+. I'm 16w now and thought I felt something a little bit on Saturday when I had a massage and was laying on my stomach, but who knows, it might have been gas!
Felt something today. It was a prolonged feeling though, it went on for like a minute. After reading other posts I'm thinking maybe it was just gas. I have a question though, for any STM's reading. Where would I be feeling the flutters at this point? What I felt today was just a few inches below and to the side of my belly button. My coworker was convinced it was the baby. I was thinking the baby is still lower, closer to my pubic bone at this point (I am 16 weeks).
@Snaps816 I'd bet it was baby. What did it feel like? Floppy goldfish, kinda squirmy? That's what mine are feeling like right now (17w5d) and about in the same spot. Believe it or not, your uterus is already almost to your belly button. Here's a diagram that shows fundal height based on weeks.
@tisunge602 Cool! It kind of felt like air bubbles bouncing around, or maybe like being poked gently. I was leaning towards gas because of the air bubble sensation, but I think my intestines have been shoved up higher at this point. And gas doesn't usually just hang around in the same spot. This has now happened a few times today. Thanks for that diagram -- for some reason that one makes more sense than others I've seen online!
Yeah, I'm going to be 20 weeks on Wednesday and haven't felt anything at all. It's hard to not get a little worried that there hasn't even been something that could possibly be the baby moving.
17 weeks and I think I may have felt kicks a couple times? I'm not positive but it felt a little different than gas. Nothing consistent, maybe once a day and only when I'm laying on my side!
I'm 17 weeks 3 days, and have thought I've felt some flutters (mine feel like muscle twitches) the past week or so. Then yesterday I was sitting at work and sneezed, and I felt the biggest flutter yet...I think I startled the little bean
STM here but finally started feeling them!! First day I felt I was 18w3d... been feeling little flutters every day since. I had an anterior placenta with DD1 so it was hard for me to feel movement as much, wondering if it's the same with baby 2. Will found out next week at ultrasound!

Snaps816 I remember with DD1 it took me awhile to figure out what exactly a flutter feels like! I've felt them low, about 2" or so below belly button - so definelty not in stomach area. Lots of different words to describe the feeling... to me it feels just like a flutter, like a very light tap or wave inside.

FINALLY started feeling flutters over the weekend (I'm 19+5 today). I was sitting on the couch with my knees pulled up (so stomach was kinda squished), and it sort of felt like a tap from the inside. I froze, and then felt it two more times right in the same spot. A little while later I laid down and rolled onto my side and then I felt similar little taps in a slightly different spot. The next day, when laying super still I felt it some more, but it really did feel more like "flutters" that time. Yesterday I didn't feel anything, but I was busy and not really still during the day, and then this morning I think I felt some again. Still not 100% convinced what I'm feeling is baby - hope that little one keeps getting stronger and stronger so I can feel more confident!

The position of your placenta can affect this a lot; try not to be too worried.

So i just got a cookies and cream shake/smoothie from wawa (healthy I know...) and the baby must have loved it (or was on a sugar rush)! About ten minutes after I finished it I felt tap tap tap all in the same area. It was so weird! My only explanation is it was the baby.
I think I've felt some VERY light movement in the last couple days, but tonight there is no doubt! Hubby and I were watching House of Cards, and at the end of the episode I felt a rolling/flopping sensation just below my belly button. I asked hubby to press his hand and see of he felt it too, and what do you know! He felt some of the rolling too!! 17 wks exactly today, and I'm ecstatic!
I felt baby move at 17 weeks very lightly now I'm 19 weeks 3 days and feel him alot!! He's getting stronger. We had our first ultrasound yesterday and found out we're expecting a baby BOY!! I'm a FTM so feeling him is amazing!
@DressageDarling - are you due Aug 03 too? I switch over on Wednesdays as well. Good news is we had our 20 week/anatomy scan yesterday and all is well - kiddo's moving around like crazy. Apparently I've got an anterior placenta, which is why I can't feel anything. When is your next u/s?

Yup!!! We had our anatomy scan today. I have an anterior placenta too. I had a PA today instead of my normal OB for after the ultrasound, and she actually tried to make me feel a little bad that I couldn't feel anything and told me to concentrate more on it.
I am a first time mom as well and I felt it a little when I was 16 going on 17wks but when I hit the 18wk Mark there was no doubt about it when you realize that I was finally recognizing that my baby was moving.
