Monday B!tchfest!!!

Broke down and am sitting in a doctor's office. 2 Daycare kids got positive Influenza A tests. So after battling a cold for over 2 weeks I probably now have the flu. Why can't I be healthy?? I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired ALL THE TIME!!!!

I'm addition to being sick one of my daycare parents decided to drop their kid off without notice today after I had already cleared most of my attendance today. I'm pregnant and sick and was way too tired to put up a fight. But come on JERK!!!

  • I'm surprised this is empty! Spring break is over :( and I didn't get any sort of break since I work full time. Damn responsibilities! I just want to run off and go to an island.

  • I was ready to go to the grocery store at 10 this morning. Hubby insists on going with me... It 5 and I'm still waiting.
  • I'm on an overnight field trip with 18 high school students who act like they've never left the house before. I will be spending my first night totally by myself in a room in 2 years.
  • My 18 month old refuses to eat anything healthy at all. It's making me feel like a crappy mom. She used to love cabbage (weird, I know) but spit it out all day and was screaming for goldfish. I've never dealt with this before but I know I need to start just not offering her anything except super
healthy stuff until she can be more balanced. I just feel like a loser mom tonight.
  • I forced myself to go to my first prenatal exercise class tonight. I totally set the treadmill too fast and fell off. No injuries, just bruised pride. Being self conscious in a gym situation at the best of times, and then adding the hormones makes for a very weepy pregnant lady. Luckily I held off on the waterworks until safely in my car.
  • @kmlovato Oh no! That is terrible, I'm so sorry that happened. I hope at least the people were pretty understanding since it was a prenatal class?
  • @Snaps816 oh yeah everyone was very nice about it, and asked if I was ok. I'm klutzy as it is so you'd think I'd be used to doing things like that, so I'm going to blame the hormones!

@imtrmama We're in the same boat at this house, but a 3 year old. Yogurt is probably the only thing that keeps her regular. I have also been using some of the boathouse and naked green juices at Target to get some veggies in. That might be worth a try. Better than nothing.

  • I can't find pants that work for work! I can find maternity jeans & leggings that fit great but all the maternity work pants I have purchased have been too big! I ordered them all online and so now I just have this huge pile that doesn't fit! Hopeful I'll grow into a few pairs, but frustrated with this in between phase still!

  • @Bubblegum5586 Try Gap Maternity! Mine was located inside a Baby Gap location. I went on Friday on the recommendation of a co-worker, because work clothes have been my struggle, too. They had really cute pants in black and a khaki/camel color. But get there soon, because when I went they were on sale, and thus the sizes were a bit picked over. I couldn't find my size. But they were good work pants! I ended up getting a black dress that will do for work, and I saw a lot of other business-casual tpye items there.
  • My Monday Btch is spilling over into Tuesday. I have this Horrible bruise around my belly button and it hurts!!!! My obgyn said "Nope. no emergency, likely your abdominal muscle just tore a little."

WTF. Um... Don't I need that? Also... Ow.

  • DD decided to take her diaper off in her room and poop in her floor. She came running in the living room, I picked her up and she wasn't wearing a diaper. She's only 17 months so I think it's too early to start potty training.
  • @Lynnlove28 it's never too early if they show signs. My DD trained herself around 22 months.

  • @Lynnlove28 you could try to put a potty chair in her room. When our first dd was doing things like that, the pediatrician said to put a potty where ever she decided to poop. Her favorite spot was behind the chair in the living room. We put it there and she was trained by a year and a half!
  • @cal031686 @jamiesc58 thanks for the advice. I may try that, she's done this a few times before and she always goes to her bedroom to do it. Maybe I won't have 2 in diapers after all!
  • Good luck @Lynnlove28!!! I really hope it works for you!
  • Had our anatomy scan today! Everything looks great for baby, but when I got back the clinic notes on my doc's electronic system, it says under diagnoses this visit, "Obesity complicating pregnancy in second trimester - Primary" and immediately under that "Normal pregnancy in second trimester." My doc has not said anything to me about my weight, I haven't had any complications, and they didn't even weigh me at the ultrasound! None of my other visits with my actual doctor have included this note, and I didn't even see a doc this time--the doc reviewed the ultrasound, said everything looked good, and we went on our way. I just hate that this is in there with no explanation. I'm sure no mom likes to see the word  "complications" or anything similar on their chart, and I just feel like this came out of nowhere. Grrr.

  • @cait5413 My summary has had that since the first appointment. We only talked about expected weight gain the very first appointment and nothing since then. You could always send them a message to ask if something has changed?
  • @cait5413 My chart says the same on my patient portal, my doctor hasn't even brought my weight up at all. I'm sure if I started to gain a lot he would probably mention it but I wouldn't think too much into it. I would probably ask why is said that its complicating things in the second trimester. Hopefully everything is alright, I'm glad your anatomy scan went well!
