I just noticed today that my wedding set is getting a bit tight. I also wore a ring of my mom's on my other hand but it was already a a smidge too small so I took it off a couple of weeks ago to paint and when I tried to put it back on it wasn't happening.
I've also been dreaming of a bubble bath.. but I almost got stuck last time, and DH will be at work until at least 4AM.. to tempt fate or no, that is the question..
We had a nice day today so we decided to get some outdoor work done during DD's nap. I vacuumed out the van while DH raked all the leftover leaves that got trapped by the first snow storm last fall. Poor choice. Down for the count back pain plus increased irregular but real contractions. So much for falling asleep early to combat daylight savings.

I just got another bath and made fiancé help me out of the tub. He also bought me a heating pad today which I'm laying with right now. So glad he's home all day tomorrow to take care of my decrepit self.

I have had barely any swelling up to 34w and I've only just noticed this looking at my hand today. It still goes off and on fairly easily, it was just a bit loose before I think. I could spin it around more easily.
Last pregnancy we weren't engaged/married and I didn't wear any other rings at all, so this is my first experience with this! Definitely trying to keep all my fingers though. Haha
I went to my friend's bridal shower tonight. She was asking me about getting bruised on my stomach from violent kicks, when one of the other guests chimed in happily and asked if she could see the bruise. I kind of just looked down at my bump, looked at her, back down at my bump, laughed, and responded with "only if you're ok with me flashing everyone. I'm not wearing pants." She got extremely flustered when she realized that I was wearing a dress.
@AmadorRose my ring still fits too, and I'm able to take it off every time I wash my hands... I've always had super skinny fingers though. I'm surprised that I still can, but when I would run for any longer than say five miles I wouldn't be able to get it back on for a few hours afterwards...

Another non-traditional ring person here! My center is a London blue topaz with little white sapphires around it.
Also I've definitely been eating a lot of Mexican food, mostly tacos from various stands/taco trucks. It's definitely better than fast food!
@k&Elizabeth when they come to visit, I'm just going to fill the table with enchiladas, barbacoa, tamales, and elote. Mom has always been a touch overweight so it makes sense that she was advised to gain less. Ugh. So, so thankfully we live on opposite ends of the country.

DH vetoed the flower crown idea. I need to figure out what I'm doing with my hair... DH votes braid, BFF votes half up, and most of the maternity photo examples I've found just have the mom with her hair loose. At least I have six more days to figure this out.

So I'm still in bed because we stayed up really late last night (went to bed around four, after the time change) and our landlord sends my fiancé a text around 10 saying "I'm coming over today. What time works best for you?" He didn't get it until a little bit ago, because we were sleeping, and didn't have a chance to respond since he woke me up. Next thing we know there is a knock on the door. He gets up, gets dressed and opens the door. Car is there, no person so he comes back to the bedroom and gets back in bed. About fifteen minutes later we hear a knock again and as he's putting pants back on we hear "Hello! Is anyone here?"
I am so freaking pissed that she just opened the door and came in like that! I'm glad he went out there because I would have probably secured us back on the homeless list -.-

He put off fixing our fence for months and kept acting like he forgot about it even though we have two big dogs and need a fence. The thing falls over and he puts up shitty chicken wire in the huge section that is gone and leaves torn up blackberry bush thorns all over and probably nails for our dogs to step on and leaves the rotting wood behind in the yard, which his cheap ass is probably going to try to re-use. That is going to turn out well....

Legally, she has to give you at least 24 hours notice. You would have had every right to turn her away. The fact that she just walked in is inexcusable.
I'm letting it go. We still haven't signed a lease with her and we've been here since November. Once we have some legal right to live here I can address thugs like that. Which is supposedly happening Thursday. We'll see. Fiancé thinks he handled it by texting her "Thursday is fine, but you have to let us know when you will actually be here" Isn't he tough? :P
Two funny things just happened. I told fiancé I'm going to lay down for a while before we go run errands. He responded with "have fun in the pillow fort!" Which is apparently his new nickname for our bed lol.
We also just placed a bet on whether I will run out of tums before LO arrives or not. I have a little over a half a bottle of tums left... I'm betting tums will be gone before LO's arrival, he thinks I have more tums than that. We shall see my dear. We shall see.
i didn't get many clothing items at the shower and I'm not sure what I really need for LO here is all I have:
4 NB onzies 2 sleep sacks size small 4 0-3 month size onzies 2 0-3 month long sleeve onzies with footies 3 3 month onzies a few pairs of socks and 5 swaddle blankets.
The other few things I have are outfits that are 3 months up to 12 months and not things you put baby to sleep in or wear at home
I seriously have no idea what to put on this child or what I need
I just did all the laundry and put away/organized everything and we are SWIMMING in small sizes. I don't think people realized (I know I didn't know until now!) that Carter's size 3 = 0-3 months in other brands, not 3-6 months. So we probably have close to 30 outfits that are NB and 0-3 months sized. And this baby keeps measuring big at every appointment so I'm worried he won't even fit into this stuff for long. Oi! We only have like six 3-6 month sized things. Too bad I already took the tags off of everything and washed it. Oh well. It's an excuse to shop more.
I'm having a hard time finding plain white socks that don't cost a fortune. I don't like the cutesie socks because I don't want to have to worry about him matching everyday. I found some Gerber ones at Burlington's for a good price but Burlington's is like an hour away. Should have bought more than one pack, ugh.
Looks like I'm losing my phone this week...M got a pip boy and his iPhone 6+ is too big to fit in it. I'm reluctantly trading but I hate how big his phone is - how am I supposed to get it in my pocket?!?

Not at all! The entire show is pretty much making fun of romance novels and telenovelas. Any time a cliché scene happens, it's over the top.
Ugh. I washed my comforter a few days ago, spun it out several times, and put it in the dryer. It didn't get dry all the way through, and I forgot to check it for like a day or so. (I'm horrible at laundry) When I opened the dryer it smelled like something had died in the laundry room. So I rewashed it, spun it several times, and dried it until it was completely dry. It still smells like death. Febreeze is NOT helping... I'm going to try washing it AGAIN but in super hot water, and adding vinegar to the wash then hanging it up on my porch in the morning to let it get air through it and sunlight on it, then throwing it in the dryer at the end of the day. I really freaking hope his works because it's my favorite blanket, and we've been using two blankets this entire week, which I'm over.
It seems every night I am dead tired but I lay in bed for hours and can't sleep. So ready for this to be over. Current mood:
