I was getting ready to drag myself to the gym. For the first time in a long time! Then I discovered a Sex and the City marathon on E! I'm now trying to convince myself to shave my legs, while watching so maybe I can get a pedicure later and not be embarrassed about my week long hair growth. I'm not going to count today as one full of accomplishments!
I just had my first-ever prenatal massage. Holy sh!t, you guys. Talk about a game-changer. Lady was all like, "So, do you want to schedule your next..." And I'm all interrupting her like, "Yes, yes, yes!"
Just saw this and almost peed my pants laughing/sad crying cause no wine
Haha, I love it! Though I haven't missed wine as much as I thought I would. I am craving a margarita like crazy though and virgin just won't do. That might have to be my post-birth celebration drink!
@fleurdelakeview I told my husband that when 38 weeks rolls around he needs to stock the house with tequila and margarita fixins. That has definitely been my most missed, and a virgin does not cut it.
Am I weird that I like it when it begins? Spring Forward is now my favorite as a mom. Because after today, DD will be waking up an hour later every morning. AND I REALLY NEED THAT. Yeah it is probably temporary and will shift back to normal over time but right now this is great.
In the fall, however...fucking Fall Back with childless mofos all "yes an extra hour!!" is my worst enemy. Kid starts waking at like 5. NO.
But overall I would be happy if Daylight Savings was just outlawed.
I wish we'd just stop cycling. I'd be happier if we stayed with the summer (current) time all year. I like to ride horses, and could do so after work most of the year if we stayed on this setting. When we switch back in November and it's dark by 5 pm ish (depending on where I live), that doesn't work so much for me. Either way I hate the changing...

It's going to be almost 90 here this week! Thankfully I bought some new maternity clothes today and have a few pairs of shorts and some tank tops. All I need to do is survive until July.
@Lindsayleigh1989 great find! I keep checking our local Craigslist and it's a total dud!
Ours had been too but I snatched this one 30 minutes after it was posted. Also if you are on Facebook I know here in mn there are tons of groups for garage sales by neighboring cities. You could look to see if your area has one or even a statewide baby garage sale group they have been awesome for me as well
I'm so excited. I found my diaper bag on the local Facebook exchange site. It's normally $65 and super popular and I got it for $35 because I was logged in when it got posted. I've been lusting after this one and wasn't feeling that price tag.
@Lindsayleigh1989I agree - nice find!! Love swap & sell sites and Craigslist!
@givemepenguinss Please let us know how night #1 went! I'm dreading the day when we transition DS into a toddler bed...
I'm pretty proud. I'm not known for my punctuality, and today was my first day trying out a new schedule. I got myself and DS ready, picked up breakfast, dropped him off at my mom's for the day, and got in to work by 7:15am. That's a win in my book! Daylight Savings time sucks the big one, though. Let's see if I can keep this up.
Night #1 went okay! I'd say it went the same as any nights the last few months. (Lately, bedtime has been taking 1.5/2 hours, and then she wakes up every few hours. She's having bad dreams. Most of the wakes, she can get herself back to sleep, but some of them we need to go in and help. Before this, she was an awesome sleeper. Went down into the crib awake, and slept through until morning. We've been very lucky until now, but this new lack of sleep is killing us!)
She was very excited to be in her new bed (and so excited that it took a long time to get her to sleep.) We let her pick the bed out, along with her bedding, but we kept everything else the same as her crib: we put the bed in the same place as the crib, same stuffed bunnies, same pillow and blankets.
We were planning on leaving the crib in there, too, in case the bed didn't go well, but since night time has been really tough for months anyway, we figured we'd just rip the band-aid off and get rid of the crib altogether. She asked where it was once, we told her we put it away for the baby, and she said, "okay".
Tl;dr: getting her settled took a long time, but mostly because she was excited! She only got out of the bed during the night once. She woke up a few times crying (but this is the norm for her right now.) Overall I'd say it was the same experience as crib sleeping has been lately! Also, she didn't want to get out of her bed this morning.

As a mother and a Nurse, this is not acceptable.
