• I was in the chocolate of the month club for a few months. It was cool until the month that it got eaten by ants on my doorstep.
Are you ok now? That is genuinely heartbreaking. :s

• So my favorite band is playing tonight in Orlando and I can't go and I'm kind of crying over it... I know I can see them next time they come through but this was a landmark album for them! It's their best since I was in highschool, and the most relatable since the lead singer just had his first son. I'm just going to go nerd cry in the corner now :'(

@CCLow87 what does your mom like to do? Does she have any hobbies?
She likes doing little craft projects. And drinking wine. lol
My husband just enrolled in a case of wine to be delivered to the house each month. He knows how much I miss my wine so already ordered a case to be here after delivery. You can do a one time thing or sign up monthly I believe. In my opinion you can never go wrong with wine

• So originally the only reason we weren't married yet was because my parents' insurance would cut me if I was married, and when the law changed, we never got around to seeing if that changed. Until yesterday morning... So guess who got married yesterday? I will be covered until I'm 26, period. So we bought the papers and called our pastor. What an unplanned, eventful day that was. And today I'm 37 weeks. Hopefully I can get my last name changed before LO shows up.

On another note, I'm sitting next to my air purifier and having allergies. I can't tell if the purifier is working or not, but my eyes are itchy and I'm sneezing at nothing. I'm not even near anything I'm allergic to, so I have a feeling I need a new allergy test.

Congratulations! And if you're with the right person, how you get married doesn't mean a thing. We eloped and have never regretted it.

Congrats @Bubbles3592!

It may be different in your state, but in mine, you have to send in your signed papers and wait to receive the official recorded marriage license before you can start the name change process at Social Security. I think it took a few weeks for that to come in AZ, but the timing probably varies by state.

I am SO jealous of all of your abilities to get alcohol delivered to your house. Boo for living in UT. I'd love wine of the month!

Yeah well it was even worse because I think if I had been a normal subscriber the company may have re-sent the chocolate or something, but since I was living in Hawaii where they don't do chocolate of the month club, my husband had to get the chocolate delivered to his house in Maryland and mail it to me in Hawaii so it was just a loss of a lot of quality chocolate. It didn't help my hatred of ants.
• @Bubbles3592 Congrats!

I've been having terrible BH in my back all day. Just got out of my appointment, and LO is still firmly in there. Not dropped, no dilation. Plenty of AF. Doctor told me to try to relax, but call for ANYTHING, since I do have a history of pre-e. Thank goodness. I was not ready for LO to try and escape yet... At least two and a half more weeks...

This is legit . I feel your pain
• @Bubbles3592 Yay! Congrats!!

So I know it doesn't mean anything what-so-freaking-ever but I'm dialated to a 2. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this because it seems like all of a sudden time is going faster. I think I was still mentally at the 27-28 week mark, thinking there is plenty of time. When in reality I'm 35 weeks and there isn't as much time as I thought, and being dialated just reinforces that...

I think that's part of why I was so relieved at the end of my appointment today--no dilation. Dilating is the beginning of the end.

• So I generally go to bed sometime between 12-2 most nights, wake up around 3:30, 5:30, and then 7:45ish to take fiancé to work. I get home and sleep until about noon. Last night however I was in so much freaking pain I couldn't sleep no matter what I did and didn't fall asleep until after 5AM. I had the backache from hell, and what I guess would be lightening crotch? I'm not sure, but taking a hot bath helped immensely, and I had zero contractions the entire experience. I honestly couldn't say the pain itself was any higher than say a four or five, but I was so exhausted it was killer...
• @Knottie9983816 At least the bath helped! LO may have just need leaning against a nerve?

• Flower crown, yes or no? Part of me thinks they're over done for maternity photos, but at the same time, they're gorgeous. Maybe I should just do a pretty headband instead?

It is pretty hippie-ish so I guess it depends if you see that as good or bad.

It's one of those things I think is beautiful in other people's pictures (like @Ali7151 's on the photo thread) but would be way too out of character for me. Kinda like big princess wedding dresses.

• @fbanke42 Yeah the bath helped while I was in it. We are picking up a heating pad tonight for me. My back is STILL hurting, but I'm staying in bed until I have to go pick him up from work at 5:30. I feel slightly dead even though I've slept all day now...
• @RoseShadow873 I'm not a hippy, but DH is definitely a Portland hipster, so it would make sense? :D

@mrstrax I'm thinking of maybe doing a baby's breath flower crown, since that would be pretty easy. I kind of want to look feminine, since I didn't really do that with my maternity photos with DS. I really want to set myself apart from all of the testosterone that will be in some of the photos.

I think they are so pretty and definitely feminine. A baby's breath crown would be a good balance since it's not very over powering. I think it would be a good contrast to your hair color too.
• I want to go to the beach tomorrow, but I'm sure that's not a good idea between how much prep work it would take, like shaving all the things that I can't see, and finding the towels, bathing suits, sunblock etc, packing food... Plus it's about an hour drive to get to Daytona, and since this is like the first warm week (I think it's actually the tail end of Bike Week) it'll be busy as hell. I just want to go lay in the sun with my man and chill the hell out... So mad we never got to do any kind of babymoon >.< /pout

We cann't afford to do any type of babymoon. I need all of my vacation time and DH doesn't get any with his job.

With DS, we went to a beach house with the ILs for my college graduation/father's day.

We're talking about going to the beach next weekend if the weather is nice. The Oregon coast has been getting hit with some intense winds recently.

I think flower crowns can look feminine and ethereal as long as the shoots are done outside. Otherwise, it might look too contrived.

Definitely doing an outdoor shoot! I'm not a fan of doing stuff in a studio.

Now one to keep my fingers crossed that the weather improves. Darn you, Oregon, and all of your rain!

Well apparently my uber irresponsible fiancé has decided that that isn't a good idea anyway, so we aren't going. If you guys need me I'll be in bed crying like a toddler because I hate being pregnant and not able to do anything now that we actually have the money to do it -.-

Hmmm for me it would be a no.
• @fbanke42 you totally just inspired an idea for my registry. I should really put that thing together! And I LOVE colored stones - mine's a blue sapphire for my birthstone and I can't wait to wear it again. I'm jealous that yours still fits!

Does anyone else have people in their lives with antiquated ideas on pregnancy? I know some of you have to! My mom is *very* concerned about the amount of swelling I have and that I've gained 25 pounds. My diet is moderated, I've laid off salt, and my body is literally just hanging on to everything I consume at this point. I know how to take an accurate effing BP and 25 was the minimum suggested gain by my midwife because of my BMI at the start of pregnancy. I want to rip my hair out every time I talk to her. If my midwife is not concerned, I don't feel the need to freak out. And what kind of mom fat shames her 35-weeks pregnant daughter? Come on!

ETA - she also asked if we "eat like Mexicans." Holy smokes, I know traditional Mexican food is salty and no, we don't often eat it. I'm not going to apologize for my barbacoa this morning, because it was incredible.

Feel free to tell your mom that I do "eat like a Mexican" and have only gained 16 pounds. My grandma is a fat shamer too. Every time she says something about my belly size, I remind her that I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight very quickly and it all worked out fine.
• @AmadorRose Non-traditional rings are my favorite. I tried going with a traditional looking center stone after my blue sapphire cracked, but I couldn't do it. It just felt wrong. The main reason my rings still fit probably has to do with the fact that my rings were half a size too big to begin with. They'd have to do some crazy stuff to get the ring down to a 4.5.

I usually get antiquated ideas about what food I can and can't eat. I'll eat what I want!

@NOLA520 A top view doesn't do the ring justice. It has really pretty side swirls.

• @AmadorRose my ring still fits too, and I'm able to take it off every time I wash my hands... I've always had super skinny fingers though. I'm surprised that I still can, but when I would run for any longer than say five miles I wouldn't be able to get it back on for a few hours afterwards...

@fbanke42 I have a black diamond. I love non traditional rings too!

My mom is convinced I have Gestational Diabetes and won't hear anything else from me. Every time I bring up that I'm gaining weight like any normal pregnancy she likes to rip into me about being overweight beforehand. I can see where salt can be troubling, but at least you don't have someone constantly berating you for eating meat and dairy. You know, like normal human beings... Which btw is going to kill me sooner than her, if you were curious, and she views it as partial child abuse.
• @Knottie9983816 I tried taking a bath last week and was barely able to get out of the tub on my own
• @k&Elizabeth when they come to visit, I'm just going to fill the table with enchiladas, barbacoa, tamales, and elote. Mom has always been a touch overweight so it makes sense that she was advised to gain less. Ugh. So, so thankfully we live on opposite ends of the country.

I just got another bath and made fiancé help me out of the tub. He also bought me a heating pad today which I'm laying with right now. So glad he's home all day tomorrow to take care of my decrepit self.
