@littlebitmom I am sorry you're going through that. I am a teacher too. I work with students who are Emotionally Disturbed in a small setting of only 8 students. I came back to one of my students doing a total 360 before I left. His behavior has become so explosive, that we are now in the process of sending him to another school. I am not sure if my leave is entirely what has to do with what's been going on with him, but I know that it sure added to it.
I've been back to work for 3 weeks now. LO is being watched by my mom at our house. It's been wonderful having her here every day with him. Other family members have been able to come over and visit with her too, which has been great for DS. She will continue to watch him until the school year ends in June. I may teach summer school for the month of July and then have the rest of August off with the baby. We'll see.
This was my first full week back. I am the veteran teacher in my grade level and came back to the newest team member thinking she was the boss and making all the calls. The whole dynamic of my team of 6 has changed. Really sad as others have complained to me about it. Don't quite know what to do as I have enough to deal with already and I've never been one to like to be in charge but I don't like not having my thoughts even listened to...
I work in a call center. I'm currently dealing with a similar issue. I came back to different people on my team & the ones who were considered "new" now have different roles. Also people who I thought were my friends, acting differently towards me. I hate work tension because I have to be there 8-10hrs a day.
@teachmegs817 I'm so sorry. The stress of teaching follows you home and doesn't leave you when you are not at the building. Please do not let it worry you. My mom and dad watch my DD but it's at their house.
@thatgirlree24 that sucks too. I know what you mean about people acting differently. I am hoping my situation gets better after spring break when everyone gets a few days off to de-stress. Hope your situation gets better too.
