Re: Symptoms Thread **3/7**

  • ejmo68 I have the same thing! Just on my right side, along the hairline below my ear. My DH has severe dandruff and use prescription shampoo, etc, and I've found that using a little of his Neutrogena T-Sal (the clear one) right on the affected spots after I use my normal shampoo has really helped! The only problem is the smell - it stinks!!! I try to make sure I have some shower gel on me before I use the shampoo so it distracts my nose :)

  • Same here
  • A lot of fatigue I hate it I just want to sleep all the time I have no energy
  • Forgot to mention I get hungry a lot every two hours or so. Sometimes out of nowhere I get so hungry I want to cry if I don't get food in me in that instant so weird
  • I've had a FEW sexy dreams, but mostly just really realistic weird dreams and I do NOT like them. I don't know why. They aren't necessarily bad (except last night's in which I was attacked by a stalker. THAT was horrible) but they leave me feeling just... uncomfortable. It's like they feel almost TOO real. Creeps me out.

Other than that? Just this continuous barf feeling. I made one of my favorite dinners tonight (rosemary balsamic chicken with mashed potatoes) and I was excited about it all day. Now that it's cooking? NOPE. I want no part of it.

  • So this is kind of gross and I'm not sure if it's pregnancy related, but what started out as a zit earlier in this week has transformed into a red, itchy rash on my face. I sent a message to my doctor b/c it's annoying and I don't know what I'm allowed to use to treat it.
  • @depineta have you used anything new/worn any new clothes/jewelry? The day after I got my + I wore a new long sleeve shirt without washing it (long story) and the next day I had a slight rash on my arms and was super itchy. That never would have bothered me in the past, but my skin is super sensitive since getting pregnant.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New symptom this morning: twitching where my butt meets my leg. It's so weird and kind of annoying.

  • I have actually felt pretty good this week. I have had a better appetite than last week and was actually able to do some chores when I got home from work. It was a nice break but also a little worrisome.

As I mentioned, my main symptom has been my hips and back. I have noticed that getting up and walking does help since I'm at a desk 50% of the day.

  • Thanks @MorganL925! I'm thinking was either something I ate or I wore, I'm just not sure exactly what it was.  I'm just going to pay close attention today and see if anything makes it better or worse.
  • @depineta - I meant to add that mine cleared up without anything. I even wore the shirt the next day before I realized it was the cause. Since it's on your face, and babies seem to drain all our moisture, I would maybe use moisturizer on it, but nothing else. Your skin could be dry, which would definitely make it worse...almost like eczema.

  • I can relate to ALL of these.  I'm so moody I'm starting to get on my own nerves!
  • @depineta, sounds like it could be poison ivy!

  • I entered the stage where nothing sounds good and I forget to eat until my blood sugar drops significantly. I'm trying to get 3 meals in (having to feed a toddler helps remind me this time at least). I remember this from last time so I suspect it will get better in 6-8 weeks.

  • I feel another migraine coming on. Boo. And DH is ridiculously pissy today, which is making me pissy.
  • So I went to get a haircut today because I just felt gross and thought it would be a pick me up. Once she's done she asks me if I have psoriasis or eczema because I've got dry flaky patches on my scalp! I've had a perfectly great scalp/healthy hair my entire life. Not sure if pregnancy related but that's all I can come up with. My head isn't itchy at all, made no sense to me.
  • Tmi but the last 2 days I have had some LArGE clumps of thick clear jelly consistency discharge.  Kind of freaking me out but dh and I did have sex for the first time since conception the first day this happened...wondering if it's related

Now I'm a stay at home loving life and pursuing my love of photography!!!
  • it's 554am on a Saturday and I am eating peanut butter crackers and drinking ice water. hello random hunger and nausea, wtf?

also the chair pain is horrible. I need to cushion myself
  • Ladies with the barfing, do you feel relief afterward? Like the sickness goes away for a while? I always used to feel that way because obviously the vomiting usually gets whatever is bad out of your system - but it's not like we're throwing up our progesterone or anything, so I wouldn't have expected morning sickness vomit to have the same effect.

Anyway I had thrown up once before this pregnancy due to heartburn, but only had queasiness until last night when I got the worst nausea so far out of nowhere. I did throw up and felt better - obviously now I'm worried that I somehow got food poisoning instead of morning sickness and probably killed my baby.

  • Until this week, I had no idea that I could be nauseous, starving, have heart burn and gas cramps, all at the same time. And the boobs! Not only do they hurt, there are times that my nipples feel like they are on FIRE. I was in a meeting last week and tried to unobtrusively adjust my bra to find relief, but ended up having to excuse myself. Combine all that with the bloating, crying and exhaustion and I feel like a hot mess.

  • Now adding on dizziness, possible round ligament pain, sore boobs growing out of control, and questionable 24-hour urine results that I'm hoping aren't indicative of a serious kidney problem this early on. On top of continued exhaustion, nausea & vomiting, etc.... :s
  • @RainMira9e  I usually felt a LOT better after barfing. I was able to "dust myself off" and go about like nothing happened. Until I hit 10 weeks. That was the pits. At least that seems to be fading back to just nausea now.
  • Add me to the sexy dream club! I keep having dreams about Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. Specifically that character.

Yep, I have once already. If you can't keep fluids down, you've got to do
something. Gatorade is also your friend.
  • For those struggling with hydration....I read the suggestion of making Gatorade ice cubes...personally I love putting a Gatorade (after opening and taking a couple sips to leave room) or a watered-down one in the freezer long enough to freeze a little, shake, and make a slushy
  • @uponastar16 that sounds heavenly and I'm going to do this right now.
