My UO is that I cannot stand when people comment on my pregnancy weight or what I eat or how much I'm eating! Many women AND men have made distasteful comments to me and I just want to pull their hair out! I was underweight when I got pregnant, I eat a variety of foods and a lot of that is uber healthy and I look GREAT right now!! Until my doctor tells me to slow my roll then y'all can back the f up!
@AMCooper000 I completely agree! I've mentioned this before but a coworker made a comment one day about my lunch and it got me wondering if everyone is judging me by what I eat now. Or "feed the baby" as my coworker put it. I feel really self conscious now sometimes. I don't understand why people all of a sudden feel it's okay to discuss a pregnant woman's weight or eating habits.
Why do people feel the need to post pictures from their anatomy scan that show all their baby's goods. I feel like I'm violating this poor unborn baby by looking at it. Can't they find some other way to announce the sex of their baby? Sorry if this one has been done before but I've seen way too much this week.
@Lynnlove28 I'm with you. I find it disturbing to show off your unborn child's genitalia. Its just the same, to me, as posting your child in the tub showing off their goodies (at least cover those up!)
I'm wearing leggings today, and my shirt doesn't totally cover my butt and I don't think it's that's big of a deal. I've heard a lot of people say that leggings shouldn't be considered pants, but I feel like this rule should be scrapped while you're pregnant.

I wear leggings as pants and give zero fucks what anyone thinks about it.
I don't know if this is a UO but here is my rant: I like the comfort of maternity clothes but I am really sick of buying them. Going into pregnancy I figured I'd buy a handful of basic, staple pieces that I could mix in with items from my regular wardrobe, and it would be no big deal. But I need so much more than I thought I would! And I totally overestimated how useful my pre-pregnancy items would be. Other than cardigans, none of those clothes are going to work. I need professional pieces for work, as well as casual pieces for the weekends. I started needing maternity items in February, but I'm going to need entirely different items when the weather gets hot this summer (again, for work and for casual). I've already bought new bras and I can tell I'm going to need even bigger ones soon. And sports bras, because I'm bulging out of my current ones. And gym clothes in general, for that matter. And tights! And a swimsuit! I am sick of spending money on this stuff. I have baby to save for!
I really wish I could quit my job and just ride this out in a moo-moo and my house cardigan.
@Snaps816 I totally understand where you are coming from and living in a muumuu would be amazing!!! I also have to have different types of clothes for work and home and it gets really expensive! I hadn't even thought of summer stuff yet...ugh.
I think it should be socially acceptable for pregnant people to just walk around without pants/leggings. Jk. Well, maybe...
Real UO: STAY THE FK AT HOME IF YOU ARE SICK. This goes for all that try to suck it up and show up to work, brunch, whatever it may be where there's a large crowd of people, possibly pregnant people, because if you get me sick, at this point, mama bear might hunt you down and go batshit crazy on ya.
@AliKay20 For real. A friend of mine came to a girls night back in January with the tail end of a cold, assuming she was no longer contagious. I was sick for two months, ended up in the hospital with pneumonia, and had to use a week of sick time I was hoping to use on my maternity leave. I was *very* unimpressed.
@BookhousegirlI usually follow the rule that leggings are not pants, except when pregnant. Then that rule doesn't exist, because wearing maternity jeans and pulling them up every 30 seconds because they never stay put is not worth it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this. Also those stretchy maternity tanks that tend to roll up over my belly. I went out to dinner Saturday and didn't even realize as I walked out of the restaurant that as a result of the pants sliding down and the shirt rolling up, I was showing a good 3 inches of belly to my fellow diners.
Sometimes I want to vent to you about my day and just have you nod your head. I really don't want to hear about how yours was just as bad. I know that makes me a bitch, but I had really long/bad day today. I just needed to vent, but my coworker instantly started what felt like one upping me. Just let me vent.

DH does this ALL the time. I about killed him after DD was born. He would go "I'm so tired, too" whenever I said anything. I wanted to shake him. I got up for an hour every two hours when she woke up, you woke up for a minute then rolled over to go back to sleep (I bf and rarely made a bottle for anyone to feed her at night, since I was worried about keeping up my supply). It's one of the few things that absolutely drives me nuts about him...
Ok I've been saving this one all week, no idea why I haven't shared it before....
I HATE SUV's and LOVE Minivans! I can't wait to be a momma and justify buying one finally!!!

My dream car when I was a teenager was a forest green Honda Odyssey. I really wanted to be a soccer mom.
My UO: I really hate that the Denver area is becoming so popular. The influx of people moving here is ruining all the things I liked about it. Especially when the roads are bad and we have to deal with all the idiots who have no idea how to drive in snow.
@skelly70 I'm from Denver too and I agree! With a kid on the way DH and I are at the time in our lives when we'd like to buy a house, but that's just not going to happen with the way the housing market is now! I'm happy that the city is thriving (I'll take thriving over economically depressed) but it's too much. People who are natives or lived here for years are being pushed out of their housing by all the new development. I am also worried what will happen when this bubble bursts.
I hate how with political correctness people are saying you shouldn't assume anyone is pregnant. I would much rather a stranger assume I'm pregnant instead of thinking I'm someone who had too many cookies and doesn't exercise. I don't understand why anyone would feel differently.

It's true. We bought last summer, but it was really insane. The only reason we got our house was that we came up with cash over the appraisal value. We put offers in on five other houses that were thousands over the asking price and were out-bid on all of them. Once, we were the first couple to see a house that had just come on to the market. We took an hour for lunch, decided to put in an offer, and it was already under contract with the people who saw it right after us.
I get why people want to be here--it's an amazing place to live, as far as cities go. I'm trying to convince DH to move to the Western Slope, where I'm from. He thinks it's too far away from the Broncos.
@Snaps816 You may already know this, but I got a ton of cheap stuff from Old Navy. Mine has a maternity section so I can actually go and try it on, but there is bunch of stuff online too. Last pregnancy I bought their workout clothes in the next size up and that lasted me throughout. It isn't the best quality, but it is cheap and made it through 9 months. They have good sales on sports bras too.

I don't think it has anything to do with political correctness. It has to do with inadvertently calling someone fat who is not pregnant.
I'd rather someone think I've had to many cookies when I'm actually pregnant than have someone ask me when I'm due when I'm not. The second scenario is just awkward for everyone involved.
My UO is I can't stand it when parents don't dress their babies appropriately! Especially wearing shoes, or at the very least socks on your kids! I had a couple in the store where I work yesterday with 2 babies/toddlers. I'm guessing the one might have been about 18 months-2 years and the other, maybe 9 months. The temp outside was in the 50's, and the one kid was in a pants, long sleeves, and socks (the older one) while the baby was in pants, an almost sleeveless shirt and no socks! Unless it is 80 degrees, and your child is still in an infant carrier/seat, put some damn socks and shoes on them!

I might not give up some of my maternity clothes post partum. There is one cardigan in particular which is soooo slouchy comfy.
I really wish I could quit my job and just ride this out in a moo-moo and my house cardigan.

When pg with my DD, I didn't care if people wanted to touch my belly.
We'll see if this opinion still holds true soon.
Also, I'm sorry about the PGAL brain, I know it's really hard for me to make plans for post-birth too.
