Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Today is my last work day for the week, & next week is March Break...so, no school for me after today until the 21st. This is SO needed! Heartburn & restless, crampy legs are killing me right now, & just adding to my inability to sleep. And I'm feeling really bloated & gassy again, which isn't fun at all.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Just gestating. Grow baby, grow!
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Clean bathrooms, or anything dishes related (wash, dry, unloading the dishwasher).
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I think I had the worst night of sleep last night that I've had so far in this pregnancy. Pretty sure I'm catching the cold that H has had for the last 4 days and my belly feels like it's going to explode with pressure. I finally caved and picked up a boppy pregnancy pillow from Target yesterday hoping it would help me get comfortable, but last night it just wasn't cutting it. I will be napping today, fo sho.
Questions? Anyone else experiencing this insane abdominal pressure? Maybe it's just gas?
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Oh boy. Hard to choose just one, but maybe shaving my legs?
@mrsschmity I've been feeling pressure, as well, but I think it might be gas. I've been feeling so bloated again the last few days so I think it's all related. It's definitely uncomfortable!
Sorry to hear you had such an awful nights sleep...definitely go for the nap today!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Baby has been moving like crazy!! It's wild to watch my stomach move around and jolt out. My sleep has been sucky, wish I could just get a full night's rest. Also my calves and feet swell every work day. Rave is that at least its Wednesday and the weather has been nice.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Waiting for packages to arrive

GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Walk the dogs in the winter / when it's cold.
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: weather is gorgeous again and I have a meeting near my house at 9:30 so I get to relax this morning!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Maybe my prenatal workout video this morning!
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Hmm I would say laundry. Washing, folding AND putting it away
@mrsschmity - I've been feeling pressure too. And there's a lot less room in there for food now. I constantly feel like I just ate 5 lbs of food. @DeePaddy24 - enjoy the much needed break!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: It's Wednesday and sleeping is becoming very uncomfortable since I feel like I should switch sides every time I wake up and also because my hip area seems to hurt after laying on it for a few hours. The process of switching sides is not fun, I feel so heavy and it feels so awkward moving my belly. Rave: I leave work early today for my OB appt. and going to go do a little shopping beforehand. Also, the baby is kicking as I type Symptoms: Just more of the same. Ate way too much last night (I made quinoa burgers and we usually eat one with a bun and one without) because it was so tasty and was extremely uncomfortable for a couple hours afterwards. Had to just prop myself back on a pillow and stretch out on the sofa for a while.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Going to the OB to make sure all is well?? The take home outfit thread makes me want to go out and get something asap but I don't want to do it without DH. I'm going to Target today so I'll just look... Going to schedule the hospital tour tonight and decided against the classes.
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Just one?! Cleaning the bathrooms...but dishes have to be done everyday so I'm torn...

@BakerBird525 That thread has me wanting to get an outfit, too, but I'm so worried it will in the wrong size. I feel pretty certain I'm going to have a big baby, but I know if I get a 0-3 month outfit he'll be tiny lol and will need newborn size.
@mrsschmity I've been having pressure in my belly too, I think it's just the baby growing and not having much space to move around.
How far along are you? 24+2
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant-I had my first husband cheating on me nightmare last night and stabbed him with a pencil in my dream while he was laughing at me. I woke up practically in tears and my whole body hurt from being so tense. Rave-It's GORGEOUS outside and I'm almost halfway done this week. Also, my H has agreed to stand up to his Mom for me and say no to his step-father staying with us after the baby....I just hope she takes no as an answer. Symptoms-Starting to get bad leg cramps and can't sleep at all at night.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating...
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Cleaning my house!
I'm right there with y'all on the crappy/not enough sleep, and the overly full, pressure feeling. Ouch.
How far along are you? 24 weeks! Viability Day!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptoms: So. Tired.
Rant/Rave?: H got a little excited with the primer on the kitchen cabinet doors, so we spent about 4 hours last night hand-sanding them all down to a smooth finish. One of those times where I really wish I was ambidextrous. Ow. But for the rave part, all that's left is to clean and tack cloth them tonight and H will apply the first coat of paint this evening. The paint is self-leveling unlike the primer, so we won't have to sand the bejeezus out of them between coats!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Maybe finishing putting some furniture together tonight. Signing up for childbirth classes tonight. Probably should start that pregnancy journal I bought in January....
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Wow, that's hard. Cleaning the floors comes to mind.
I have to say, I like your style @Diesel615! Lump all the housework together. Yup, agree.
How far along are you? 27 weeks! 1 more week until the 3rd trimester!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Yesterday I had my doctors appointment and they said the baby was measuring at 29 weeks. She didnt seem concerned just said they need to keep an eye on her, part of me isnt surprised since I was a 10 pound baby myself. Hopefully she doesn't get too big because I want to deliver vaginally. She also said this can be a sign of GD so I'm a little worried about that but I'll find out soon because I had my GD test yesterday.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing really just trying to stay healthy
Questions? None today
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? hmm probably do the dishes. I hate it. lol
I'm so sorry that so many of us are uncomfortable and exhausted. I've been doing okay on the sleep front but every waking moment feels uncomfortable lately (well, except for a precious few).
How far along are you? 24w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Heartburn. Zantac doesn't help me a lot but I'm still taking it in hope. I posted yesterday about hemorrhoids- at least that particular region of my body is in less pain today. Rave: OB apt today... nothing special, should just hear the hb and ask her a few questions I have up my sleeve. The nice thing is that I get to leave work at 2:30 for it and that feels like plenty long of a day right now! It's my last day of being 33... the year started off crappy (I had a D+C RIGHT before my bday weekend with my family) but was awesome overall, especially because this pregnancy happened-- and I got to be part of this stellar little community!
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Hmm... good question!! This pertains to work more than home but every week I have to run an attendance report and meet with any students who have infractions, write letters home etc. It's definitely my least favourite part of this gig. At home, I'm going to say picking up after my husband and daughter!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptom: I'm starting to feel the shortness of breath, mostly in the mornings, so baby must move away from my lungs during the day. Rave: I'm still raving about the warmer weather, even though it's supposed to rain today.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing new today.
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Probably unload the dishwasher. My husband is in charge of doing dishes, but somehow I often end up being the one to unload after they are done.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Just tired of running around and trying to get a million things done (work, home reno, H is selling his condo so preparing that, house chores and oh gestating).
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nada today other than trying to get a good night's rest.
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? H already does the bathroom cleaning (thank God) so I guess I would pick laundry.
Happy V-Day @crdo! I hear you on the pressure @mrsschmity and the crappy sleep...
How far along are you? 25w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: I finished building our headboard for the master! I'm ever so pleased with myself.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating.
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Paying bills. Does that count? For the household, I'd say mopping the floors. I hate it.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Was woken up way earlier than normal today by my husband trying to feel around my belly for baby kicks. It was cute so I sort of forgive the early wake up call. Symptoms - hips hurt, I'm starting to waddle, and stretch marks (i.e. the devil).
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Finally got the old furniture out of our nursery and ordered the paint yesterday. I am going to get the primer up in the next couple of weeks and then when my best friend comes to visit next month we'll paint the actual color up.
Question: Anyone else used lullaby paints brand before?
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Either changing lightbulbs (there's a million in my house and they seem to go out way too frequently) or picking up the dog poop (my 120 lb dog creates A LOT of it).
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: waiting for my GD test and the lab is in an old part of the hospital and it stinks in here Rave: I'm getting ice cream on the way home before anyone tells me I can't have it anymore. Symptoms: sleeping is definitely getting worse. Can't stay in any position for a great length of time without getting really uncomfortable but then moving around hurts too!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating, house organization, moving the dog out of baby's room soon.
Questions?
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Definitely dishes! Hand washing is the WORST.
Edited to add: the glucose drink? Uuuugggghhhh. I had to channel 20-year old binge drinking Candice to get that down quickly! Gross.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: H's birthday is today and because my boss is a million years old he mixed up his doctor's appointment and went yesterday (it was supposed to be today) soooo he gave me the day off like I initially requested and is paying me like I'm working because I didn't quit during this last month of bullshit so I don't have to use any vacation or sick time. Sooo... as soon as I crawl out of bed I'll be making pancakes and then we're off to the coast for the day and for dinner.
My only rant is that I literally woke up screaming because I had the WORST calf cramp of my life at like 3am. My calf muscle totally locked up for a good 10 minutes. I gave my husband a heart attack. He might actually not be alive right now. I should check.
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? DISHES.
@hockeyfan42 What beautiful
headboard! I’m really impressed that you
made it!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Tired, a little heartburn, and starting to feel some shortness of
breath.
Rant:
My seasonal allergies are awful right now – and no wonder since my grey car
looked yellow yesterday because it was covered in pollen. Yuck.
Rave:
We are going to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat tonight and I’m
super excited!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to
do again, what would you choose? I totally agree with lumping cleaning
the house all together. If I had to pick
one thing, it would be dusting. I hate
moving things and getting all of those little dust bunnies that seem to come
from nowhere!
@hockeyfan42: Thanks! And dayy-um, look at your awesome DIY skills! Headboard looks fabulous!
@SMLmom: Enjoy the last day of 33! I can only imagine how hard your last birthday was given the heartbreak that preceded it, and I hope this year you have a wonderful day.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:Rant: I feel massive. I don't know if I really am, but it feels as though I am expanding each day. My belly is bumping into everything right now! My depth perception is way off. I think I need a bumper on my belly for when I am crashing into everything. Rave: LO is constantly moving. My belly jumps all around all day long. Sometimes he kicks my bladder or my vagina and it is super uncomfortable... but you know what? I love it all the same. Symptoms: Heartburn & sore hips
What are you doing to prepare for baby? DH and I are going in for a hospital tour and "meet the doctors" tonight!
Questions? What is a super important question I should be asking on this hospital tour?
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? @mrsschmity shaving my legs is definitely high on the list! I am going to say vacuuming. I have always hated the sound a vacuum cleaner makes. When I am in cleaning mode I like to listen and bop around to music. When the vacuum goes on it is like all the fun goes away LOL
@SMLmom Happy early birthday! I have a March birthday, too. Hope you're doing something fun to celebrate.
@Jerseygirl9090 Hope everything works out with baby's measurements. My doctor never talks about my weight or how baby is measuring. Maybe I should ask, but I just kind of assume no news is good news..?
@samsonator My LO is a big mover, as well. It's crazy to see/feel the things that she responds to!
How far along are you? 27+4 (I just had to stop and count...)
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:Rant: I have no motivation to work. Or do much of anything. (Should that go under "Symptoms," actually?) Rave: Despite the lack of motivation, I've actually had a really productive week so far. Symptoms: Just really tired. Occasional shortness of breath or weird "waves" of lightheadedness. Ugh.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Watching her grow. Trying to eat healthier and exercise more. My best friend is coming over the weekend after next to talk baby shower details, so that's exciting!
Questions? My 1-hour glucose test is Monday afternoon. For those who have had theirs already, how long did it take you to get your results back?
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? I'm going to go with the majority here and say dishes. Anything related to dishes.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I was up all night long. Woke at 220am to DH getting up to go to the bathroom and was starving, laid in bed for 2 hours fighting myself to sleep until I finally went to the kitchen & made myself a cheese sandwich so calm my growling stomach... fell back asleep around 5am. Rave: Got my hair highlighted and cut yesterday, so nice to feel like me again!! Its a gorgeous 70+ degrees here today & my lunch will be spent outside!! Rave: The 6 dresses I ordered from ASOS came yesterday, and 5/6 are a hit! Just in time for the charity gala and the 2 baby showers I have this weekend!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Working today... browsing etsy for cute take home outfits!
Questions? Many of you ladies seem to comment on how big your baby is measuring... my Dr. hasn't' measured my fundal height once, and I haven't had an U/S since 20 weeks (which said I was measuring on time). How are your Dr's measuring your baby & when did they start?
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose?
I'm going with you ladies who said cleaning the house! (though I did get Dh to agree to a cleaning service twice a month after the baby comes).
26 weeks. I'm so miserable and feel so awful that I don't even have the energy to cut and paste the prompts right now. I just have to say reading this thread helps. Thanks ladies. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who is massive, achy and sleep deprived. On top of everything I caught another cold. I want to cry.

My midwives measure me every week starting at 25 weeks. I don't get another ultrasound until like 36 weeks cause they don't have the equipment. Mine is measuring right on track at 28 weeks.
@DeePaddy24 - no more evil principal for almost 2 weeks! Yay! @BakerBird525 - I'm with you on the hip pain and flipping! Every. Damn. Night. I'm over it. @SMLmom - happy early birthday! @hockeyfan42 - that headboard. I want it. Actually, I'll just take everything in your bedroom because I love it. @MsBeachNJ - sorry you had such a rough night! @joose159 - I totally agree with crdo and MamaNicoleof3 that a good cry, something warm and tasty, then a long nap can help almost anything!
How far along are you? 24+5
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I didn't bring my lunch to work today, and I can't decide on what I want. This feels like a major life decision right now. What if I choose wrong?! Rave: I cut my hair this morning, and it looks fabulous if I do say so myself. It helps that it's waist length, so mistakes aren't easily noticed. Symptoms: No sleep, ever. Heartburn. Lots of pressure (@mrsschmity - I'm sorry you're feeling it too, but misery loves company and I'm glad it seems like a normal symptom). And the moodiness is back (did it ever really leave?).
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating.
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? I'm alright with the housework, but if I never had to blowdry my hair again that would be incredible!
@mommarich I'm changing my GTKY to copy yours. I didn't even think of that, but drying my hair is one of my least favorite tasks in the world! I'd much rather unload my dishwasher than blowdry my hair.
@hockeyfan42 damn. That headboard is totally pro looking. Great work! @mommarich i know you'll choose the right lunch. you are a strong and capable woman. @joose159 pregnancy doesn't last forever- but it definitely feels like it- feel free to borrow my fantasy below (in purple italic) and pretend your baby will be here in two days! @Huskerfanz can we please talk about guys & bathrooms. If you are 6'3 and you pee into the toilet- I don't care how well endowed you are, it doesn't reach the actual toilet area without traveling through air- that is a massive distance for the urine stream to travel and pee is literally splashing everywhere once it hits the water- now matter how incredibly precise your aim is. Why do men deny this? Why. Now it's going to be me vs 3 dudes and I'm not into it. I don't want to live in Pissville, USA.
How far along are you? 25+1 and not glowing
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I am ready to be done being pregnant. My Fantasy: [I'm getting induced on the day after tomorrow- a really special day that the doctor said I could choose- March 11th 2016 which is the day after my sister's birthday so it's not stealing her thunder but still really special and unique! I have a great doctor that lets me quit being pregnant whenever I feel like it!] but My Reality: i still have infinite weeks left.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? My MIL has moved out of our second bedroom so now I need to start converting it to a nursery/room for the boys! I never cared about making a nursery during my first pregnancy but now that our buddy is 19 months old, I think he deserves some space for him to play and sleep in!
I will paint the room white; put down wood-look foam floor tiles; move his toddler bed out of our room; set up his play tent and toys; move the changing table/dresser in there and fill the closet with kid stuff instead of having it in our room. I'd like to sew some tatting/flags to hang across the room and give it a playful feel. I'm thinking mildly nautical theme, some whale art and a lamp etc. Also- hooray for toys to be moved to his room and out of the dining room, kitchen and living room to some extent!
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? scrubbing the bathtub, sink and toilet. I LOVE when they are all clean, so I do it. See above Pissville, USA comment made for @Huskerfanzfor more info about my position on bathrooms and men and etc.
@MsBeachNJ I have had an ultrasound at every single
appointment and the doc does the measurements every time. I think I have them more
frequently than other people though – it seems to just be my doctor’s
preference to show his patients the baby’s development every month.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I'm super cranky today. Had a rough meeting yesterday at work that has really colored my mood today in a bad way Work place politics sucks. Is it June yet???? Symptoms: Feeling huge! Typical aches and hunger and running to the bathroom non-stop. Nothing new.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? We bought the crib mattress yesterday! Signed up for BBB emails and coupons and got a 20% thank you coupon so we used it on the Lullaby Earth 2 Stage mattress. Baby now has a place to sleep!
Also getting close to deciding a name. See Question below.
Questions? So DH and I are really liking the name Kallette. We like Kallie as the nickname. I like the variation of Collette with a Ka instead of Co, lending itself to the nickname. DH is thinking it might work better with one L instead of 2, but I think that would make it sound like a long A like Kale instead of a soft A like al. Thoughts? We're also stuck on a middle name, but I'm leaning towards Rose. Kallette Rose Sch***** (2 syllable last name). Thoughts?
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? Work related.... grading. I hate grading. I wish I had time to give students feedback more one on one instead of the arduous process of grading a rubric and typing feedback. Ugh.
Home related.... clean the bathroom. I hate scrubbing the shower and toilets. Blech!!!
@SMLmom I will totally pay you to dry my hair for me! I have no problem meeting with your students or writing their parents @Pallison crisis averted. A vendor brought us lunch and I didn't have to choose. Phew. @arteduc8 I think Kallette (2 L's for sure) Rose is beautiful!
26 weeks! Rants: We're planning on moving soon and seeing how much a nice place costs in CA really makes going back to work look enticing. (Yes. That's a rant.) Baby Prep: More like prepping the toddler for baby. GTKY: I would choose to never do the dishes again.

Yup, agree.
I hate it. lol
How far along are you? 24w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Heartburn.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: tired, pains, peeing every hour at night so sleep sucks between that and being too hot and restless legs
What are you doing to prepare for baby? gestating
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? cleaning bathrooms! 4 boys....ugh
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
How far along are you? 27 weeks!!
DISHES.
@hockeyfan42 What beautiful headboard! I’m really impressed that you made it!
How far along are you? 25 + 5
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Tired, a little heartburn, and starting to feel some shortness of breath.
Rant: My seasonal allergies are awful right now – and no wonder since my grey car looked yellow yesterday because it was covered in pollen. Yuck.
Rave: We are going to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat tonight and I’m super excited!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating
GTKY: If you could pick one task that you never had to do again, what would you choose? I totally agree with lumping cleaning the house all together. If I had to pick one thing, it would be dusting. I hate moving things and getting all of those little dust bunnies that seem to come from nowhere!
@SMLmom: Enjoy the last day of 33! I can only imagine how hard your last birthday was given the heartbreak that preceded it, and I hope this year you have a wonderful day.
Good luck at all the OB appts today!
How far along are you? 25 + 5
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I feel massive.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I have no motivation to work. Or do much of anything. (Should that go under "Symptoms," actually?)
My midwives measure me every week starting at 25 weeks. I don't get another ultrasound until like 36 weeks cause they don't have the equipment. Mine is measuring right on track at 28 weeks.
@BakerBird525 - I'm with you on the hip pain and flipping! Every. Damn. Night. I'm over it.
@SMLmom - happy early birthday!
24+5
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: I didn't bring my lunch to work today, and I can't decide on what I want.
I love blowdrying my hair. Too bad we can't all team up and do each other's least favourite chores.
See above Pissville, USA comment made for @Huskerfanz for more info about my position on bathrooms and men and etc.
@MsBeachNJ I have had an ultrasound at every single appointment and the doc does the measurements every time. I think I have them more frequently than other people though – it seems to just be my doctor’s preference to show his patients the baby’s development every month.
26 weeks today!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: I'm super cranky today. Had a rough meeting yesterday at work that has really colored my mood today in a bad way
Symptoms: Feeling huge!
Blech!!!
@Pallison crisis averted. A vendor brought us lunch and I didn't have to choose. Phew.
@arteduc8 I think Kallette (2 L's for sure) Rose is beautiful!
Rants: We're planning on moving soon and seeing how much a nice place costs in CA really makes going back to work look enticing. (Yes. That's a rant.)
Baby Prep: More like prepping the toddler for baby.
GTKY: I would choose to never do the dishes again.
