@Ah825 – YES! That’s just how much of a pathetic worry-wart I really am! (Plus DH is horrible about remembering to apply things like bug spray and sunscreen, so I know he'll get bitten like crazy).
Where are you planning to go? My fraduation for my masters degree is in Virginia then we are going to Disneyworld to celebrate.
When are you going? Mid May
How many weeks will you be? 22 weeks
How long will you be going for? 3 days in Virginia and 7 days in Disneyworld

Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ? Nope. We've pretty much got everything planned with the help of our Disney family members.
I am SO jealous of everyone going on baby moons. DH literally cannot take off of work from January-December...and by then baby will be here. Can I go on a baby moon by myself ?? Hmmm
@anneb644 Thanks! I have a packing list started already, and there is extra clothes for everybody on the list. I've even broken it down into what goes into which bag.
Are you planning on going on a babymoon? YES! And I'm so excited. This will be the first time since we had our first child that it will be just the two of us on a vacation!

Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ? Anyone who lives in the Pacific NorthWest -- do you have any opinions on the best way for us to get from Seattle up to Vancouver, BC? Considering renting a car of course, but we haven't researched yet if there's a train, a ferry, or something that might be scenic and kind of fun to do instead!
I think the ferry takes the longest and is the most indirect. You can take the train or bus, aside from driving
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
@sunshineinmay09 and @mamajen10414I've never been to Bellaire but now I am intrigued! Would it still be kind of chilly for the beach up there in May? I would love to do an in-state getaway before the baby arrives. Right now I think we are going to Memphis to visit family but nothing else planned for a babymoon yet.
Married: 3/21/15 First time mom to a human but have been a puppy mamma for over 12 years

Yes it'll still be too chilly for beaches. But there are so many nice little towns to walk around in and do some shopping. Shorts Brewery is in town and they have AMAZING food along with a lot of other good food places! Torch lake is very close and absolutely beautiful. Traverse city is close also, and there's always lots to do there. DH and I love it so much up there we've decided that's where we want to retire to. I def recommend it up there. The summer is the best, you can rent boats and many beaches.
Are you planning on going on a babymoon? Heck yes! It'll be a babymoon/graduation present
Where are you planning to go? Tofino, BC in Canada. Which is only about 4 hours from where I live but it's my favourite place in the world, next to Hawaii. We're hoping to stay at the Black Rock Resort, which is amazing.

How many weeks will you be? around 24 weeks
How long will you be going for? a long weekend, maybe a week

How long will you be going for? About a week and a half
What would you like to do there? DH is a huge surf fanatic so he will get a lot of surfing in. I plan on getting prenatal massages and hanging out. And simply getting away.
Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ? Like many, worried about the bug bites! Especially mosquitos.
We cancelled a trip to Hawaii that was supposed to leave in two weeks because I'm still so sick! We went to Hawaii when I was pregnant with my first and I was so sick and absolutely miserable. We didn't want to make the same mistake again. Last time, I felt better by the start of the third trimester.
The next time we'd be able to go to Hawaii is around 31 weeks. Do you think that's too late? The flight would be about 6 hours long. My husband is nervous about it but I feel like it's theast chance to do something like this for a while.
Are you planning on going on a babymoon? We're going on a special camping trip -- we usually go every Sept, but that's out of the question. This year, they are JUST starting up a new trip right within my 2nd trimester!
Where are you planning to go? A small event called Solstice, right outside of Asheville, NC
P.S. Venting: I am still bitter about not being able to go to Snowshoe this winter, since we found out in January. That's what I'd REALLY like to do!

What would you like to do there? Relax! No cell phone service! The beautiful NC mountains! See great people, listen to great music, and enjoy the magical campsite
Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc.? We're not super followers of Dave Ramsey, but we do strive for 0 debt. We're saving like crazy before the baby comes and, whatever doesn't go to medical costs or any emergency expenses, will go to knocking out our debt after baby. I wish I could just put a trip on a credit card and go where ever, but my measly in-state 3 day trip will have to do. Is anyone else doing this?
Are you planning on going on a babymoon? yes & no. Not married; my so & I broke up over our surprise pregnancy but he's come around and wants to fix things so we are taking things a day at a time.

When are you going? Sunday!
How many weeks will you be? 11-12 weeks
How long will you be going for? Until Thursday I believe; so 4 nights, 5 days
What would you like to do there? Car camping (since true backpacking is kind of out for me right now), we plan on riding some trails, hiking, & bringing the two fur babies.
Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ? Anyone have any ideas about making car camping more comfortable? Lol. Is it raining there like it is in Texas?
We hadn't specifically, we just have two trips already planned
Where are you planning to go? Atlanta, GA and Brian Head, UT
When are you going? First week of April, then last week of June
How many weeks will you be? 15 wks, 27 wks
How long will you be going for? 4 days for both!
What would you like to do there? We're scoping out Atlanta in case we want to move there (for work) and Utah is a family vacay- renting a lodge and family activities all day e'rryday
Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ? Anyone been/live near either place? We'd love to do some off the beaten path stuff!

PLEASE VISIT Mauna Kea resort, if only for a day it's worth it. Also if you are on Kona side get shaved ice near the fishing port. Broke The Mouth Grinds is the best for furnikake chicken and grilled shrimp. My goodness hon enjoy yourself!
Are you planning on going on a babymoon? Yes, hooray!
Where are you planning to go? Maui! We were going to go to Ukraine, where my husband's family is from, with his father and brother tagging along, but it got way too complicated and stressful, so we are postponing that trip and going to Hawaii instead.
When are you going? April 10-18th
How many weeks will you be? 18-19
How long will you be going for? One week
What would you like to do there? Lots! We are going to drive up the dormant volcano, stopping to do all the little hikes to pools and waterfalls along the way, visit the Marine Life center, attend a luau, visit a brewery, and relax on the beach. Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ?
What would you like to do there? Relax and disconnect. Enjoy one on one time with my boyfriend.
Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ? Unsure of what to pack exactly. Friends wedding is reason for going.
@noelani42 A note from the doctor for whom? (I'm planning on traveling at 27 weeks)
It kind of pisses me off that anyone would need a note from a doctor to give a grown, healthy woman permission to fly. I'm a capable adult! Plenty of people have medical conditions for which flying is not a good idea, but late pregnancy is so obvious people feel comfortable policing it. #womenslib
@KimmySchmidt It's to show the airline before boarding...many airlines require this in the 3rd trimester...You can always call your specific airline and check, but my doctor is just going to write me a note for my trip at 32 weeks to play it safe
-Well, vacation anyway. I am pregnant so I guess it counts. we try to take one trip a year for just us (as opposed to visiting his or my family, work trips or other projects)
Where are you planning to go?
-Somewhere in Europe, probably. We have a time share trade in but we can only schedule it 45 days out so we shall see what's open when we get closer to the time. I don't want to go south because of Zika issues and my other choice (from before I knew I was pregnant) would be Japan to climb Mount Fuji (probably not a great idea while pregnant!) Besides, we have friends in Germany we can visit and use as a starting point. I'm rooting for London (history) or the Mediterranean (beach).
When are you going? Late May
How many weeks will you be? somewhere between 21 and 23 weeks
How long will you be going for? one week
What would you like to do there? I just like going to new cities or places and exploring. Whatever's available. I love history, I love food, I love watching people, I love exploring.
Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ?
Are you planning on going on a babymoon? Yes, for some much needed R&R and hubby bonding time.
Where are you planning to go? Just did a mini babymoon to LA and Paso Robles (stayed in-state).
When are you going? See above.
How many weeks will you be? About 17 weeks.
How long will you be going for? 3.5 day trip.
What would you like to do there? We went to one of my favorite restaurants ever, Bestia, and I had my fave matcha green tea smoothie from Urth Caffe twice while were in Beverly Hills/LA. We also went to a Lakers home game at the Staples Center to see Kobe Bryant play (he'll be retiring after this season) and the new museum, The Broad. Did some wine and beer tasting for the hubby in Paso Robles - finally, he got a DD.
Do you have any questions for other mothers? In general, about the destination, etc. ? I was going to ask what would be the very latest you'd be comfortable flying, but we've decided not to attend a Maui wedding...or myself a bachelorette in San Diego.
@pdxmamatobe ooooh! We haven't been to London, but can recommend a few places in Paris!
L'Avant Comptoir is amazing (a Bourdain favorite) and Les Cocottes was one of my fave meals during our entire European honeymoon. Pierre Herme macarons are better than Laduree's. And lastly, we stayed near the Rue Cler (a street market), thus were able to walk to breakfast everyday (also a Rick Steves rec https://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/read/articles/rue-cler-paris-market-101 ).
