WAYDTGKU: Temping and charting, PNV, DHA, CM, BD EOD
R/R/CS: Tuesday's are my favorite day of the week! Easiest day at work by far. DH has a huge project to work on tonight so I'll be mostly on my own and I think I'm gonna take that time to play some games I haven't played in a while. I played some Sims over the weekend (thanks to a comment from @kellybean1988) and as usual once I start to play a little I get hooked.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We do a lot of dinner / concert dates! That's probably our favorite. More low key would be Friday night Thai food followed by a Barnes and noble trip!
WAYDTGKU: Temping, checking CM. Probably abstaining this week for H's SA.
R/R/CS: Just emotional about starting IF testing. You just never go into this process thinking that's what you'll be doing, you know? Ah well. I am happy to get the ball rolling if that's what we need.
H is really nervous/mortified about getting his SA done. If your SO has already done it, was it as bad as H is imagining or is he just working himself up?
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We are so boring! Takeout and a movie at home is usually what we do, or sometimes we'll go bowling or to play skeeball (I'm terrible, but I love it).
WAYDTGKU: BD EOD, PNV, CM, BBT, OPK R/R/CS: One of my coworkers just announced she's pregnant! I'm super stoked for her because several months ago she announced a pregnancy but had a MC.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We usually do some combination of dinner out, the movies, and the book store.
R/R/CS: I couldnt use my temp again today - they seem to be so much higher here. Maybe its the weather and humidty but my hotel room isnt hot and humid so thought it would be ok? If I put those temps in FF will think I o'd on CD6 which I definitely didnt do. I wont be able to temp at home again until saturday (cd12) hope that will be enough temps for FF.
GTKY: Usually dinner and a show or movie, or if its daytime a trip out somewhere new with lunch in a pub or afternoon tea.
@houseofsetters My H had his SA last week and he was a good sport about it. He didn't vocalize much about dreading it, but I know he was. He was happy to do it though knowing that so much falls on me with this process and it was something he could do to help us get more information. Does your H get to do it from home and bring in the sample or does he have to do it there? My H was able to do it from home and bring it to the lab within 45 minutes so I think that helped. He was very glad when it was over though! He was also relieved when the results came back normal. Hope your H is able to get it over with and just let him know how much it means to you that he is willing to go through it!
@babymish Sorry you are having issues with temping, hopefully it will still show O with no issue and at least you are somewhere warm!
Month/Cycle: 7/8
CD: 11
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, BBT, CM, OPK, BD
R/R/CS: Pretty sure my body is gearing up to O. My average peak day on OPK is today, but still a flashing smiley today. I'm ok if it's later this cycle because right now next cycle's timing will not be good due to H's golf trip coming up, so every day it's pushed back is a win!
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We just head to one of our local breweries for dinner and a drink. Nothing too exciting.
@Sparty18 Thank you for the insight!! H hasn't been super vocal about it either, I can just tell. He's all "if it's what your doctor wants done, then let's do it." I can just see the stress! The fertility institute where my OB wants it done is super close to our house, so fingers crossed they'll let him do it at home! He's calling to ask today.
WAYDTGKU : Waiting for AF to be over, then back to temping and checking CM and CP. Will start EOD(ish) at around CD 12.
R/R/CS: happy Tuesday!! At least it isn't Monday.
GTKY: dinner out and a movie at home is our go-to, although I confess with a 7 year old and my career being what it is, we don't have date night as much as we should.
@houseofsetters My DH was vocal about dreading his, haha. He was embarrassed about the logistics because he had to do it at the office/lab, and he was really concerned about everyone knowing why he was there. I tried to tell him that they are used to it, but that didn't seem to help. In the end, he got through it. I laugh about it because he texted me from the waiting room, and then he called me when he was leaving and not that much time had passed, so I was just thinking it couldn't have been that bad.
Month/Cycle: 9/9
CD: 12
WAYDTGKU: Temping, OPKs, Clomid + TI
R/R/CS: Starting to get nervous like I always do around this time. Just hoping to time everything right. OPKs are still light but getting darker, which is also making me nervous because as of yesterday I had several follicles but they were small and not ready, so my body needs to hang on to them for a few more days.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? In the spring/summer, dinner and a baseball game. We both work downtown, so we will just stay after work, grab dinner and drinks, and go to the game.
DS: June 2008 Married: July 2015 BFP: 5/20/16 | EDD: 1/28/17 | Twin boys born 1/16/17
R/R/CS: I enjoy when my FW lines up with a weekend. Then it's casual, normal HIO. This month my FW looks like it will be S,M,T,W. Bleh. Sometimes it just feels forced.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We have a toddler, so dates are somewhat rare. We have a 'date night' at home every Friday. We grill dinner after DS goes to bed, have some drinks and light the chimnea when the weather is good. We listen to music and just hang out and talk. It's become a nice tradition for us... We look forward to it.
WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, CP, OPKs, HIO ED after AF, PNV, Clomid, Mucinex, Progesterone
R/R/CS: **TMI Warning** So I normally pass some small clots during AF and my flow is heaviest during the beginning of my cycle and comes with upset stomach, bad cramps, etc. Well yesterday was terrible, heavier bleeding than ever before. I went through about 5 Super+ tampons in less than 10 hours. I also passed a large clot about the size of a silver dollar. I felt extremely dizzy afterwards. I reached out to my doctor yesterday with no response yet. Bleeding seems to have slowed for today. I just got off of my progesterone a few days before AF which if anything seems like it should have helped. Also, I had a saline ultrasound recently so no polyps or anything on the uterus. Sorry for the oddly specific question but it has me a little worried and I'm hoping it's just due to the hormone supplements. Any incite is appreciated.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? A stuffed crust pizza and a good movie at home. We're lame home-bodies but it's comfortable and fun.
Good morning! Once again, I'm sorry to post and ghost for the next month and a half thanks to work
Month/Cycle: 3
CD: 18
WAYDTGKU: stuff n thangs, BD EOD started CD12
R/R/CS: Just waiting for O. Thought maybe it'd be yesterday due to EWCM but no other signs really, and temp didn't go up today. Last month it was CD16, so I'm a few days past that now and READY. Come on, body, get it together.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO?
We really just like to stay at home, drink some wine, and play some games! But if we're going to go out, usually it's to our local Irish pub that has tons of craft beer on tap. The food and drinks are great, it's so cozy, and we just love it!
@aliciabhen I love that you played the Sims!! Hahhaa that is so awesome
TTC January 2016 BFP May 17, 2016 DS born January 31st, 2017: Rory "Mac" MacKinnon
@nwegman7878 I don't really have any insight as to how the hormone supplements may have affected you, but I had an AF like you described a few months ago. I was just like, oh gross I guess this is my body finding its new normal after BC? But ever since then they have been back to normal/light. I have no idea why that happened that month, but I guess it was just random. Hopefully it's the same for you.
DS: June 2008 Married: July 2015 BFP: 5/20/16 | EDD: 1/28/17 | Twin boys born 1/16/17
@houseofsetters DH has his SA next week. I kind of just slid the paper over to him at the dinner table and let him read through the instructions. He got a little red as he was reading it and then said he'd make the appointment. I didn't push it because I didn't want to make him feel any more awkward than he already probably does. DH tends to prefer to keep such things to himself so I am just going with it. There is a 3-5 day abstinence rule before the SA and to be perfectly honest... It will be nice to not have to worry about trying to force anything. We have been trying to be more "active" since Starting to TTC so that way it doesn't seem like we only BD during FW.
aliciabhen Glad you've got a more relaxed day ahead of you. I haven't played Sims in a while. Sounds like fun.
houseofsetters Unfortunately I can't offer any incite into your SO's testing but I've got through a lot of IF tests. I know it's nerve-racking now, but you do get a sense of piece knowing that you're doing everything in your power moving forward to make sure than you conceive a healthy child in the future. That's what I had to keep reminding myself of during my testing. And if something comes back positive, at least you can address the problem and work on fixing it down the road. Good luck with everything.
RatsPJ That's great that you can be excited for her. My god-mother who has been trying for 3.5 years just announced hers. Usually I'm pretty bitter in these situations but it's great to see women who are struggling finally having the opportunity to have healthy babies.
babymish Sorry that your temps are messing with you. Even when DH turns the fan on in our bedroom it messes with mine so I understand the frustration.
cjt121413 Boo AF! I feel your pain. Hopefully she's on her way out.
DiFazette I'm sorry that HIO feels forced sometimes. I'm 100% with you. I've heard a lot about some medications killing your sex drive too so I'm not looking forward to going through the motions this cycle instead of enjoying it. FX for spontaneous, fun BDing this coming week.
@nwegman7878 - here's what a brief search found. Likely the progesterone supplements:
Hormonal changes. Your body relies on a delicate balance of progesterone and estrogen. These hormones regulate the production and shedding of the uterine lining. When this balance is disturbed, it can lead to the development of an excessively thick uterine lining. This thickness can contribute to more bleeding than usual. It can also cause clots in the menstrual blood when the lining is shed.Of course your doc will be a better resource than google, but thought this might help you stress a little less.
@sldp123 - your date nights sound awesome to me. I LOVE baseball games.
Thank you DiFazette. I saw results going both ways on the progesterone effects. Some stated the progesterone increase should help and a deficiency would cause the lining to thicken. I'm also on an aspirin regiment to reduce the risk of clotting and my doctor told me that it should offset anything the progesterone was doing. Just a little panicky since my hormones are all out of wack. I appreciate your response.
I haven't posted in a few days - things have been really crazy at work and probably will be for the next week or so - I'll try to pop in and catch up when I can.
Month/Cycle:3/2
CD:16
WAYDTGKU:PNV, OPKs watching CM
R/R/CS: Had some watery and egg-white CM a few days ago but it didn't continue, no +OPK, no ovulation yet.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? Well we don't get out often... little guys make date nights difficult. We like to do dinner or a movie and sometimes we will go shopping for clothes because we don't get much of chance. Nothing too exciting.
R/R/CS: Got my peak smiley yesterday from clearblue advanced. Am I supposed to enter peak in FF for today as well since the smiley is still there? Or enter nothing? I guess I am just waiting for FF to confirm ovulation now.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? Dinner and a Movie is our go-to.
WAYDTGKU: Waiting...and PNV when I actually remember.
R/R/CS: Yesterday was super crazy at work! I'm hoping for a slower day today. Also, my 6 month FF trial ran out today, when I first accepted it I thought "yeah, 6 months is plenty of time to get KU" and now I'm swearing at the page asking me if I want to renew my subscription. Stupid body. Is it too early to start counting down for the weekend?
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We generally go for dinner/ drinks or a coffee date. We also really enjoy watching a good comedy show.
@mtvkv5 You only need to enter peak for yesterday. The OPK just keeps the smiley there for 2 days to remind you to get busy and that you don't need to test anymore. Hopefully your temps will now confirm O over the next few days!
WAYDTGKU: charting, temping, opks, vitamins, exercise... the usual.
R/R/CS: So, here is a cautionary tale for all of you ttc and wto... I went to see a fertility specialist yesterday because I was concerned about my inconsistent cycles and previous endometriosis diagnosis. I THOUGHT I was ovulating CD12 - bbt, opk and chart predictions were all pointing to CD12 being O-day. I even thought I was having mild cramps. When I went to see him, I had a sonogram which indicated that I was NOT ovulating, and would probably ovulate CD14 or even 15. I was shocked, to say the least. I had just assumed that all of the apps and temp dip and opk tests were aligned and giving me all the right signs, but they were not! FF is like my bible these days, and it's letting me down MAJORLY. These things I had been relying on for months now were actually not as accurate as I expected them to be. I guess the moral of this story is, you really never know and all we can do is try our absolute best. I'm going back tomorrow to get another sonogram to see when I ovulate (concerns over short luteal phase is why I'm making so much effort right now).
If anyone is curious and wants further info, let me know... I have more to share, just don't want to overshare here. Hope you all have a great day!
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? Our favorite restaurant and a good episode of Seinfeld
@aliciabhen – DH is a personal trainer so he
usually works until 8pm most night, I get my fair share of games in every night!!! And I watch way too much of The Good Wife!
@houseofsetters – Can never go wrong with takeout
and a movie!
@babymish – I think CD 12 will be enough time. I had to do the same thing two cycles ago because
I had thermometer issues and FF still picked up O.
@DiFazette – I totally agree about the FW wknd
timing. This cycle is the only cycle so
far that has lined up perfect with the weekend and it’s the best timing (I think)
that we have had yet! Based on if I O’d
yesterday which I think I did.
Month/Cycle: 5/4
CD: 18
WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK, BDED R/R/CS: So, I
think I may have ovulated yesterday. It
may have happened! Hope so cause our
timing would be the best yet! FX
GTKY: What is your
go-to date with your SO? So cliché but there is nothing that I like
better than going out for dinner and then to a movie. It’s definitely my favorite. I absolutely love movies. I also like taking our two fur babies for
really long walks together! This warm
weather has been perfect for that.
***I'm not sure if this needs a trigger warning, but I will talk about a sad story about losing an adult relative.
I'm not actively trying yet, but I will be soon. It's all I can think about, and part of me just wants to jump in and try, but my husband and I plan to start in May. CD: 8
WAYDTGKU: I'm still just taking prenatals and trying to get my body in a good place. I bought a basal body thermometer for when the time is right. R/R/CS: In November, my grandpa passed. I had always hoped he would still be around by the time I had my first baby. My grandpa was a huge part of my life. I had taken care of a lot of things for him and for my grandma, and they helped raise me. My grandparents had started dating when he was 14 and she was 12. He died just before turning 82. My grandmother had a very difficult time being without him. She had been staying with my mom since his death, and yesterday morning, my mom went to check on her and she was gone. She died 4 months and 1 day after him. His health had been bad for a while, so we had warning. Her health got bad when he passed, but we thought we had more time and that she would get better.
Im devastated that I can't ever introduce a child to either of them. My grandma is the one who taught me to sew, cook, iron, and keep stains from setting in clothes. She taught me how to make craft items, crochet, dust, and do dishes. My mom was and is a working woman who isn't the best at domestic duties. My grandma was a homemaker most of her life, so she passed those skills to me. She also kept me while my mom and dad worked when I was a child. She makes quilts for the babies that are born. I cry when I remember that I'll never have that from her. I'll never get to let her hold one of my children and it is so painful. I keep talking about her in the present tense, because it really feels like I'll wake up and this will have been a bad dream. But it's not, and I have to meet the funeral director in an hour and a half to make the final arrangements. Thanks for listening. I just need to... Well, I don't know what I need. I'm trying to find out.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We don't have a go-to date. It depends on our mood. If we feel like being homebodies, I cook or we get take out. He makes a fire in the fireplace, and we watch movies while we eat. All the lights go out and we light a few candles around the living room so the room has a warm glow from all the firelight.
If if we feel like going out, we like to browse antique stores, go out to eat, and walk around. Parks are also great if antique stores are closed, since they usually have very short hours. If we feel more active, we like laser tag.
Sorry, gotta post and ghost today. Super swamped today at work.
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD: 9
WAYDTGKU: temping, pnv, opk starting tomorrow, and hopefully BD enough..... Noticed this morning that CM is starting to change, so hopefully O will be in the next few days.
R/R/CS: Getting back into working out after a break really really sucks. So sore....again. Such weak sauce man.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We're pretty boring haha. If he picks, we usually go to our favorite local burger place. If I pick, we go to our favorite local Korean place (one of like a million places in our area haha). If we wanna be "fancy", we go to our favorite steak house. Mmmmmm...steak. I think I should go out and enjoy a delicious med-rare rib-eye right before my TWW going forward, just in case I get KU and have to stay away from med-rare steaks for 9 months haha. Just kidding....maybe.

R/R/CS: ahead of myself but looking at my projected fertile week. My aunt is landing on predicted ovulation day but the entire week before my husband is working days and/or off! It's the best projection we've had! Hoping h's work doesn't change it and that I don't O late again this cycle!
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We like to go to nice restaurants. But to be honest we prefer to just chill in and save up and take long weekends away. I guess we consider those our dates.
@aliciabhen I love sims and so easily get sucked in!!! I also love playing civilization. @nwegman7878 I remember you saying it makes you feel sick. So sorry about that. I have no insight but just wanted to say I'm sorry it's so rough for you.

R/R/CS: Yesterday and today are the first few days it has felt like spring here. It smells like mud and I can hear birds chirping. I'm not wearing a coat and the wind doesn't hurt my face. My dogs stop to smell EVERYTHING and I'm not even annoyed by it. I'm kind of in love with the world today.
GTKY: we do a few concerts each year. Some date nights with other couples to play cards. We'll go grab dinner sometimes. Hubster stopped 'courting' me a while ago (we've been together eight years) so our dates are pretty low key. Which is a bit of a shame - I'd like a surprise date every now and then. But we have a great life together so it's not a huge deal for me.
Me - 30 DH - 36 Married 10/12/13 TTC #1 since 10/15 Chart!
WAYDTGKU: taking PNV and folic acid, charting, temping... all that jazz.
R/R/CS: still spotting a little. go away AF!
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? Usually a dinner and a movie. If it's a fancy date, then it usually means we are going to a baseball game / hockey game / concert / comedy show out of town, so I try to pick out a restaurant on Trip Advisor that we have never tried before, before we go to the event.

R/R/CS: Nothing really today. Called the doctor but I'm just waiting to hear back. I feel better knowing that I'm at least doing something!
GTKY: Sushi! DH and I loooove sushi. Coming from the Midwest and now living in Florida, the sushi is so much more fresh and delicious down here! Also, the only wine that he likes is that gross, super sweet plum wine so he gets excited for that along with the sushi
@sldp123 I've been wanting to have a baseball game date night for a few years, but we haven't quite made it yet! Every season we say we're going to do it, but we end up getting busy and it doesn't happen. Definitely going to try for at least one this season, because we haven't been to a game in years!
@DiFazette I know what you mean about mid-week FW. It definitely makes it feel more forced.
@nwegman7878 I don't have any advice to offer, but I'm sorry you had to deal with that
@mtvkv5 I'm under the impression that once you get your solid smiley, it doesn't go away for 48 hours? (If I'm remembering correctly - I only used the CBAD OPKs last month and didn't like them, so switched back to Wondfo's). So I think you put the peak in yesterday and then stop testing and wait for FF to confirm O from temps?
@PepperAT I've renewed my VIP subscription like three times already. I keep only doing the 30 days, even though it's cheaper to do longer because, you know, I won't need it longer than 30 days, right? UGH.
R/R/CS: Nothing much really, just waiting for CD10 so I can start using my OPKs and get this show on the road.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We love going out to eat, so it always includes food. We also like being lazy together, so usually we'll go out to dinner, then come home and get in our PJs and Netflix and chill. During the spring/summer, we like going on hikes or driving up to the National Park and exploring.

@MollyandD - My heart goes out to you. I just lost my grandma a few weeks ago. She was the strongest woman I know and I owe all of my crafting abilities to her. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Take some time for you and be good to yourself. Creepy Internet hugs.
*****Question in RRCS***** @mollyandd I'm so very sorry for your loss. Grandparents are such special people, and it's so incredibly hard to lose them.
@houseofsetters My DH was mortified and dreading it, but was able to do it at home. I went with him to turn it in to the lab because he was so freaked out about handing the cup to the receptionist. But when we got there, it took about 3 minutes to turn it in, give her his info, and leave. Then we planned a fun day to get our minds off of it. It will be fine and over before he knows it.

WAYDTGKU: CM, OPK, temping, BD ED, blood tests
R/R/CS: So I have my CD21 blood test tomorrow and I KNOW I haven't Oed yet. If you have read my CD, you will know that I don't agree with their estimate of CD. They counted first day of any spotting at all as CD1, and I count first day of full bleeding, which was two days later. I argued about this at the CD3 test, but want to follow their rules. I'm afraid the CD21 test will show that I haven't ovulated, when I usually just ovulate around CD20 by my count of CD. Would you still go tomorrow?? I mean, I'm obviously going to go, but I'm whining because I think they are wrong and the test is pointless tomorrow. I'm hoping O is today, I guess.

As for going out, our go-tos are seeing movies at one of the more elegant theatres in town, going to the drive-in or heading to a museum.
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 14
WAYDTGKU: BD EOD, PNV, CM, BBT, OPK
R/R/CS: One of my coworkers just announced she's pregnant! I'm super stoked for her because several months ago she announced a pregnancy but had a MC.
GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? We usually do some combination of dinner out, the movies, and the book store.
CD: 8
waydtgku: All the things
R/R/CS: I couldnt use my temp again today - they seem to be so much higher here. Maybe its the weather and humidty but my hotel room isnt hot and humid so thought it would be ok? If I put those temps in FF will think I o'd on CD6 which I definitely didnt do. I wont be able to temp at home again until saturday (cd12) hope that will be enough temps for FF.
GTKY: Usually dinner and a show or movie, or if its daytime a trip out somewhere new with lunch in a pub or afternoon tea.
TEAM: PINK!!
Month/cycle: 3/2
CD: 6
WAYDTGKU : Waiting for AF to be over, then back to temping and checking CM and CP. Will start EOD(ish) at around CD 12.
R/R/CS: happy Tuesday!! At least it isn't Monday.
GTKY: dinner out and a movie at home is our go-to, although I confess with a 7 year old and my career being what it is, we don't have date night as much as we should.

Hahhaa that is so awesome

houseofsetters Unfortunately I can't offer any incite into your SO's testing but I've got through a lot of IF tests.
Sparty18 FX that O is well on its way.
cjt121413 Boo AF!

Also, my 6 month FF trial ran out today, when I first accepted it I thought "yeah, 6 months is plenty of time to get KU" and now I'm swearing at the page asking me if I want to renew my subscription. Stupid body. Is it too early to start counting down for the weekend?

Back later for more replies!
@aliciabhen – DH is a personal trainer so he usually works until 8pm most night, I get my fair share of games in every night!!! And I watch way too much of The Good Wife!
@houseofsetters – Can never go wrong with takeout and a movie!
@babymish – I think CD 12 will be enough time. I had to do the same thing two cycles ago because I had thermometer issues and FF still picked up O.
@Sparty18 – FX for O being a little later!
@cjt121413 – FX that AF gets outta here soon!
@DiFazette – I totally agree about the FW wknd timing. This cycle is the only cycle so far that has lined up perfect with the weekend and it’s the best timing (I think) that we have had yet! Based on if I O’d yesterday which I think I did.

GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO? So cliché but there is nothing that I like better than going out for dinner and then to a movie. It’s definitely my favorite. I absolutely love movies. I also like taking our two fur babies for really long walks together! This warm weather has been perfect for that.

GTKY: What is your go-to date with your SO?
We like to go to nice restaurants. But to be honest we prefer to just chill in and save up and take long weekends away. I guess we consider those our dates.
@aliciabhen I love sims and so easily get sucked in!!! I also love playing civilization.

WAYDTGKU: the things. Preseed again this month

@houseofsetters My DH hasn't had a SA done, but I can imagine how stressed/nervous/mortified it would make him. FX that it all goes well!
@babymish Sorry you're having temping issues! Hopefully even starting to temp a little later will still let you see your temp shift.
@Sparty18 FX for O to wait for good timing!
@nwegman7878 I don't have any advice to offer, but I'm sorry you had to deal with that
@kellybean1988 FX for O soon!
@juliehollz13 FX for a surge!

UGH.
