  • My nose started bleeding today. I think it is weather related, not pregnancy related, but add it to the list of fun things my body is doing!
  • @MRSCORKER - I've found that walking really helps "ease my gas pains." A.k.a. it makes me toot a lot! Generally, if I get a pain at work, I'll take a "smoke break" and walk around outside for a bit. It hurts pretty badly at first, but eventually everything works its way out. If you have the means of doing that, you could give it a try.

  • So many sex dreams.  So many perverted sex dreams.  SO is reaping all the benefits of said sex dreams.

Also, I've replaced lunch-time yoga with lunch-time naps.  I'm a pro at napping now.
  • It's so boring, but my "low-level carsickness" with spikes of nausea and heartburn had been totally easing up, I think thanks to my B6 supplement and eating blah food every few hours, but it skyrocketed this morning into major nausea that has been with me all day. That, plus the exhaustion, is making me want to curl up in a ball under my desk and not come out until it's time to catch my train home...waah!

(Of course the PGAL in me is SO grateful and wouldn't have it any other way!)

The soul crushing exhaustion! I am dragging my tired ass to the gym every morning and napping through my lunch and by the time I get home, I just about make it to the couch where I take another nap, and then go to bed by 7:30. I will welcome the 2nd trimester's energy bump.
  • MS hit me full force over the weekend. I had it already, but it just got soooo much worse. I called in to work today because I was just too exhausted from puking all weekend. Luckily it seems to be holding off again thanks to the nightly benadryl.

Other than that, fatigue, and round ligament pain are the big things for me. I get scared to stand up sometimes because of the pain.
  • I think my Crohn's is flaring. After reading so much about how usually pregnancy makes diseases like crohns and colitis better, I am pretty bummed.
    Sipping gatorade on the couch..
  • I'm just with everyone else on the exhaustion and nausea train. I never had MS with my first pregnancy, and used to wish for it (as a sign so I knew I was pregnant/having a healthy pregnancy). Well, I was stupid for asking because this sucks. Nothing tastes good and I have to eat or I get even more sick. Really hoping this eases up soon.

I've been nauseated 90% of my waking hours since around 6 weeks (I'm a little over 9 weeks today) and, if my last pregnancy is any indication, I will continue to be nauseated for the next five months.  But my most unfair symptom (and one I didn't have last pregnancy) is an aversion to chocolate.  CHOCOLATE!  Oh, the humanity.

@cd92007 I feel you.  My symptoms have been much stronger this pregnancy and, because I have to chase around an almost-2 year-old now, I can't just rest when I'm tired.  He ends up playing by himself more than usual and I've given in and allowed him to watch Daniel Tiger even though we wanted to be screen free until 2.  I feel like a terrible mother.  I'm sorry I don't have any tips to stay positive.  I mostly just complain a lot to my husband.  That helps sometimes.
  • So tired. And today..so sad. Nothing to really pinpoint it too, but I could dissolve into a sobbing heap at any moment.

Part of it I think is that I just miss my mom. (She passed away 10 years ago). I have so many questions that only she could answer. And I need her soothing ways & reassurance! See the "Mothers say the darnedest things" thread to get an idea about interactions with my MIL. Not exactly the compassionate sort. And my only sister is 7 years older & so excited for be, but she's never been pregnant & can't exactly relate. Have only told a few limited friends & I'm just kinda feeling lonley right now I guess.

Wow, I'm being awfully whiney. Sorry y'all!
  • @ignoscemihi sounds like we are in the same boat! Symptoms are much worse this time and my son is also almost 2 (in April). I also never wanted him to have screen time before 2 but unfortunately he has gotten pretty good at the iPad thanks to this pregnancy ha. (At least I tell myself it's educational apps haha)

  • I'm 7 weeks 5 days, and  the nausea is no joke. Mine is more like evening sickness than morning sickness. Everyday around 7 pm it hits, regardless of how much, when, or what I have eaten during the day. I want to eat more healthy foods but having trouble because they just seem so gross right now. I'm working on it though, and trying small meals throughout the day. That and being tired are my biggest symptoms right now!

  • All my pregnancies have made me sleepless. I tend towards insomnia anyways and the hormones make it worse. I'm exhausted

  • I've been a bit queasy off and on with some food aversions. Now I've come down with something - very light fever (99 and below) and a cough. Morning sickness + drainage = double yuck. Also I started crying today telling my husband I think I am killing our baby by having the flu. Obviously I know to call the doctor if my temperature gets higher. It just sucks to have so much going on at once. Plus I can't miss class this week, either, so I get to give my reviews and midterms while feeling horrid.

  • I feel you both @ignoscemihi and @cd92007 I have a 20 month old and I already feel like a bad mom. There is a lot of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse happening in our house right now. I'll leave it at that.

My two main complaints are total exhaustion and GOD AWFUL back pain. Anyone else experiencing this? I didn't have it this early last pregnancy. I barely feel like I can stand up straight for a few minutes without experiencing aching pains. If they are this bad now, I dread the third trimester!

The nausea has been awful today. I'm a teacher so I can't just sit down/snack/ect whenever I want too. Today was rough, but sprite and ritz helped a lot. I have also been feeling cold ALL THE TIME! It sucks!

I am also craving a  Sonic blast. But soft serve is supposably a no go :(
i bought 3 different kinds of ice cream from the grocery store the other day. No shame.

  • @ByeBabyBunting add me to the insomnia club too. I have been spending most nights on the sofa because I'm up watching tv and then falling asleep whenever I can. Poor DH!!

  • @klv WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO SOFT SERVE?! Sorry. Soft serve is my favorite and just today I told DH that we need to go to Sonic for some milkshakes ASAP!

Something with machines not being cleaned properly and a possibility of listeria among other bacterial issues.

  • @socks2819 I'm having back pain too! Where is yours? Mine is in my lower back and usually only if I'm sitting or laying a certain way. I've been sleeping with a body pillow between my knees and that seems to be helping some.

  • Ugh the nausea. No sick ups yet, just low level nausea in and out. I freaked myself out earlier, thinking I suddenly felt great and where did my symptoms go?? Ah yes, there it is. My boobs are less sore tonight, which is not a complaint necessarily, but they've been my go-to for reassurance that I'm pregnant lol.

  • @klv noooo! Same probably goes for fro yo, too, which has been a favorite treat of mine! I also am super bummed about raw sprouts being a no-no, I love em on sandwiches.

    Yeah sorry @MrsHudson2014   Fro-yo too.

  • random diarrhea, exhausted, those little burps but not quite nausea, HEARTBURN
  • Dry heaving, gas and bloating (seriously huge bloating) one day i have diarrhea, the next I'm super constipated. And man, i have been so ANGRY this week.
  • All you ladies having sexy dreams are making me jealous. I had the joy of dreaming about work last night. Boo!
  • I feel like soft serve or fro-yo at reputable places are okay. Places that take apart the machines and clean them every night. My first job when I was a teenager was at Chick-Fil-a and we took apart the machine every night and disinfected it. :)

My symptoms at 7w3d are weird. I get a little queasy if I don't eat when I'm hungry, my stomach immediately hurts and turns into a tummy ache as soon as I step foot outside of my house and have to wear real clothes (seriously, I get an upset stomach every time we leave the house), my boobs still hurt and I get cold-like symptoms every morning when I wake up. The crazy dreams every night are nuts, but I sleep so hard from being exhausted that they go all night. Last night I dreamt we lost one of the twins. I'm just glad I'm not puking everywhere, but I've read a lot of women pregnant with twins don't have MS as bad as singletons for some reason.
  • @Blonde1817 I could have written the exact same post. I'm 10w3d and my symptoms are pretty much gone which is freaking me out. I have a much better appetite (no longer feel like I'm forcing myself to eat) and my boobs are less sore. I've had family in town for 3 days so we've been busy and maybe it's taking my mind off of it too. I'm thinking about calling my doctor though.
  • @socks2819 - back pain! Yes!

My #1 symptom is extreme tiredness. I work a 9 hour day, then go pick up my school-aged children, then home, dinner, tidying up, homework, baths, bedtime routine. And by 5:30 I am yawning uncontrollably and sluggish so all of it feels like torture!
#2 - back pain and lower ligament pain
#3 - always needing to pee.
But for me, feeling symptoms is a comfort in a way. That things are OK for now :):):)

  • @OrangeEv I have CD as well.  With my first pregnancy, I got much worse in the first trimester, and ended up going on prednisone to get things under control.  DD is a happy and healthy 10yo.  With my second pregnancy, I was in remission and stayed that way.  FX for you-hope you feel better soon!

Also, not sure if you've discussed it with your docs yet, or if you've had similar problems, but I have a history of vaginal fistulas (sorry for the TMI), so I had 2 c-sections (and will have a 3rd).  The potential complications from labor are too significant to risk it.
  • @Blonde1817 yes! I wrote almost the exact same post on the weekend thread. I'm 9w6d and starting this past Friday I've been feeling much better on the MS and energy level fronts. Now instead of feeling nauseous 24/7 I just get a couple waves throughout the day. Yesterday I even felt "normal" for a significant portion of the day! Of course I freaked out over the weekend for feeling better but I'm trying to stay rational and hope that I'm just over the hump!

I was so tired yesterday I forgot about the bloat! I can't button my f-ing pants at 7 w 4 days! It's an atrocity! Going to Macy's today at lunch and buying "pull on" work pants with some give.

@FemShep Thanks for the support! I need to find a gastro who will take me pregnant or someone to prescribe me some prednisone haha. I don't have a history of vaginal fistulas (fingers crossed for the future), but I'm sorry you have to go through all of that!
