We've tried apples, pears, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, and bananas (only a few bites of each spread over the span of about 6 weeks, with 3-4 days between attempts). So far she's only a fan of bananas, but still won't eat more than a few bites in one sitting
We did sweet potatoes last week, which she didn't like very much. Avocado this week which is going a little better. Probably carrots or peas next week.
I started with banana, then avocado, sweet potato, butternut squash, pears (which gave my daughter a rash), zuchinni, apples, peas and we tried chicken today. Bananas and peas are her favorite but she hasn't rejected any food so far.
We started with sweet potato then carrots. She liked sweet potatoes and LOVED carrots! She couldn't get enough of the carrots. Peas are next, then a fruit.
This may be a stupid question, but how are you guys preparing the puréed food? Do you just steam/boil and then purée in a food processor? Do you add water or breast milk at all? We're starting in a couple weeks and I want to try to make our own but I'm not really sure how to start.

I baked the sweet potatoes and acorn squash cause it brings out the natural sweetness but you can steam too. Then I just scooped it out and puréed in the food processor and added it to kiinde bags to freeze. I didn't add formula or BM to freeze I will thin it out when I use it. Avocado I just massed with a fork and added formula to then.
We started with avocado, then sweet potato, and we try zucchini tomorrow. So far so good.
hobo920 I got a book as a gift that has find to be helpful if you are looking for a place to start. It is called "Real Baby Food" by Jenna Helwig. It has sample feeding schedules, puree recipes and ideas for what to mix later on, and has recipes for babies into their toddler years. It also discusses food prep and all that good stuff.
