2. We bought a new dishwasher yesterday. Does that count?!
3. I'm all for the paci if baby will take it. It was a lifesaver for us on many occasions. Eli has no interest in it anymore though and I'm fine with it. He throws an abolute fit if you try to give it to him. I'll be putting them away for good today.
1. 2m1w4d post-partum. I feel fantastic, actually. I am now officially back into my pre-pregnancy pants! W00t!
2. ND's first win!
And my brother-in-law got married!
3. Yes, paci. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It works like a charm when she's fussy but not hungry, but I can't help but feel like I'm putting a plug in my kid. Just feel conflicted even though I know its not a big deal at all.
2. Spending time with my parents who are in town from Florida...
3. No paci...we had offered it early on, but at around 3 months old, he had no interest in it. He just wanted to play with it. He uses his two fingers to soothe him.
4. Univ of MI
TTC #2 since 9/09 --- mild PCOS; Endometriosis

1.Whered how?AF, feeling moody but rested.
2. weekend highlight?(see post below) ... meeting our new nephew! ...and seeing Michael interact w/ his 2 nephews:
3.for the mamas - paci or no paci? why or why not?n/a
4.favorite sports team? Notre Dame Fighting Irish and, our NFL team, the Green Bay Packers.
1. 1w pp. Feeling FANTASTIC! It's amazing how much easier it is the second time around - both giving birth and the recovery!
2. Grilling burgers with our friends last night. I made a fresh apple crisp (my mom and sisters took Elliott apple picking on Saturday while Jack was working). Just hanging out having good times with good friends and watching our little ones play.
3. Yes, paci! We actually started a bit earlier with Oliver than we did with Elliott as far as the paci goes. I was worried about nipple confusion with Elliott so I held off for close to a month. Oliver's a little more demanding than Elliott was, and sometimes, he soothes himself by sucking. I don't feel bad about it in the least.
4. I'd say the Colts. Hoping that I *might* have something to cheer for either football or basketball-wise when the Hoosiers play. We'll see. I'm not too hopeful.

cd 23 - feeling great. a bit tired after a long day at the race track yesterday, but good, nonetheless
2. weekend highlight? (PIP if possible!)
i have a couple highlights
1) OOT friend came over on Saturday and we spent the day shopping, talking, and playing with her LO. Here's a pic of LO, we wore her out shopping
and then she was hungry (excuse the poor lighting)
Other highlight was going to the US Nationals with my mother and sister. This is a yearly event for us and it's always a joy! I was *this close* to Tony Stewart, but alas, my cell phone camera sucks and this is the best pic I could get. And I saw other friends from CA whom I hadn't seen in 12 years!!!! Fabulous day!
3. for the mamas - paci or no paci? why or why not?
yep, if the kid likes/wants it. it's a soothing tool.
1. Where and how? Joseph is 26 weeks old! We're feeling good.
2. weekend highlight? (PIP if possible!) Gamewatch! (see sig)
3. for the mamas - paci or no paci? why or why not? No paci - he spit it out at 6w and is no longer interested. Sometimes I wish it worked (car/bedtime) but mostly I'm happy it's one less thing to wean him from.
4. favorite sports team? The Irish, of course!
Jen & T.J. 6.17.06 BabyBlog * my chart *
Joseph Henry was born at home on March 9, 2009
Nora Mae was born at home on October 30, 2011
1. About 7.5 months pp and feel pretty good. Just a normal amount of tired.
2. We had our annual cookout and it was really fun! We had a good turnout and I had all the food put together Saturday night so I was able to enjoy myself on Sunday.
3. Paci - I wish! He never really took to it but I kind of wish that he had...mostly because of his sleeping issues. oh well!
4. Too hard to pick one...I love Michigan football, and the Colts, and the Red Wings...
1. 1st week of pills...feeling good except for some allergy stuff. Gotta love it!
2. We went to a family reunion and had a great time. Evelyn was actually able to play with her cousins since she's walking some and a little older now. It was so fun to watch. Here is a picture of her we took on the way. I just love this one of her!
3. We use a paci but only sparingly - just because she doesn't rely on it not because we think it's a bad thing. She uses it once and a while when she's going down for a nap or wakes up way earlier than usual.
4. Which sport ? I love the Colts, Hoosiers, Cubs, Red Sox and have always had a soft spot for ND football. I LOVED Tony Rice when I was little.
1. Where and how? CD 49. Back to the old days of long cycles. Will be calling my OB this week for a scrip for Provera so we can get on with the next cycle. We'll do one more cycle of Met only before we move on to Clomid.
2. weekend highlight? (PIP if possible!) My sister's wedding! She and my now BIL were gorgeous! I haven't uploaded pics yet, but will probably AW them when I do!
3. for the mamas - paci or no paci? why or why not? At first, Haley didn't need the paci. Then she started teething and it became a fixture in her mouth. I never really wanted her to get super attached, but alas, she has. Now she uses it for teething, comfort, everything. She'll take it out to talk, so it hasn't affected her in any way there and according to her pedi at the 18 mo appt, we'll probably start weaning sometime around age 2 (unless she starts sooner than that on her own). Oh well. I'm not near as worried about it as I used to be.
2) Weekend Highlight: Paige is getting really good at rolling over... I have a video in my blog. But I want to PIP, so here are two cute pictures from this weekend.
3) Paci/No Paci: I was a semi-no-paci momma at first - I see how my niece reacts to her paci (throwing a GINORMOUS fit if she doesn't have it), and I didn't want to go there. We have paci's and we would give them to her if she was really, really upset and just needed something other than what we were doing to calm her. Now - she won't take them. But, she's a big-time thumbsucker, so I secretly wonder if we should have forced the paci on her. Eh, hindsight is 20/20. We're just happy that she's happy.
4) Sports Team: Living where I live, I have to say Notre Dame. If I lived nearby to where I went to college (Grand Valley), I'd go to more of their games and they'd be my team. :-)
1. Where and how? CD6. I feel okay, just feeling a bit tired from our weekend on the trail and I've been fighting a stomach bug since last Thursday. I felt better, for the most part, this weekend but was happy for the restrooms at the trail heads. I mean, thanking God for them. Now, it's fighting back a little Sucks.
2. weekend highlight? (PIP if possible!)
We went backpacking/camping/hiking in the Red River Gorge down in Kentucky this weekend. It was awesome. We climbed the Indian Staircase (ummm. Scariest thing I've ever done in my life and literally had a small panic attack but I'm good now), half-way climbed Half Moon, climbed Natural Bridge and Sky Bridge, hiked a few other trails.
We hiked the Angel Windows trail which was awesome and my favorite hike/trail of the weekend. There were a ton of different rock ledges/formations and little caves. The trail wasn't much traveled and deep into the woods. It was just awesome!
Pardon the grease-face. Yuck. Haha. We hadn't showered in three days. Grossness. That's the only bad part about backpacking.
3. for the mamas - paci or no paci? why or why not? Not a mama but I hope to avoid paci usage. My nephew, Hayden, had a really difficult time transitioning away from the paci and still used it when he was 2+ years old. I just want to try to avoid it but if other means of soothing don't work I'm not completely opposed to trying it. We'll see.
4. favorite sports team? The Indianapolis Colts! I like watching other sports but I *love* watching the Colts.
1. 27w6d. Feeling pretty good and for some reason sleeping better these days, that is great since I know it will change at the very end and after Baby Girl gets here.
2. It not quite finished but getting this beautiful floor down in the dining room and hopefully finishing it in the next couple of days:
3. N/A yet but I think I'll let the little one decide, if she wants to take it fine if not and spits it out, then that find too.
4. I like the Colts, but as my alma mater I really enjoy the Purdue basketball team. During Matt Painter's tenure as coach the team has been fun to watch, lets just not talk about Purdue football right now, we are ranked to finish last in the Big Ten.
1. 3 days post partum (does today count?). Feeling a little better now that I got a couple hours of sleep, but quite sore still (didn't really think much about this recovery during pregnancy).
2. having my baby girl on saturday! Jordynn Malia (sorry no pics yet)
3. we'll probably use a paci down the road (a few weeks maybe). after feeling like a human pacifier last night, it would be nice for her to be able to soothe herself when she just wants to suck on something.
1. 6w pp. I can't believe how big this baby is getting. I'm taking her in today to get weighed. At least the non-stop nursing is doing it's job!
2. Aside from watching tons of FB, the highlight for me was that my mom came to visit for a few hours.
This is the first time in my life that I've ever been homesick (and I've been gone for 10 years) but I just want Maya to grow up with some family around.
3. We've tried it a few times when she has been particularly upset but she just sucks on it for a few minutes then looks at us like we are idiots because there isn't any milk coming out.
4. Tennessee Volunteers (Notre Dame is 2nd), Colts and Reds.
2. No highlights, seriously. My entire family is sick, the weather at the lake was awful for Labor Day and my house is a disaster because we were gone all weekend.
3. We use it occasionally. DS doesn't want it all the time (thank goodness), but sometimes it helps him calm down.
4. Depends on the sport--the Hoosiers and the Colts.
1. 8 weeks, 4 days pregnant. Nothing to complain about. First appt today.
2. Just relaxing at home. Oh, and using WIFI on the wii.
3. We took the paci away from Rose at around a year. She used it to sleep and to console herself, but IME, it's harder to do it the older they get, so we decided to take it away as early as we could. It was really easy to do and after about a week, she didn't even notice it was gone. In fact, this weekend, we found one in a drawer and cleaned it off and showed it to her to see what she did and she looked at it for a min, put it in her mouth, and then spit it out and walked away, haha. Some of my friends waited until their children were two or so, and they had a really, really hard time getting their kids to calm down and sleep at night without it.
1) 8 months PP, feeling fine, a little tired, but glad to be back at work
2) a Starbucks run, watching House and Lie to Me (is that the name?)
3) Yes. They started Andrew on the paci in the hospital. They said it was good for him to practice oral coordination. Now he prefers his thumb most of the time but we do use it now and then.
2. Starting to finally get ready for the garage sale we were going to have for the adoption. We're still going to have it, but not advertise it as "adoption", because well, obviously we're not doing that anymore. It will still be nice to recoup at least some of what we paid towards that though. Anyways, we started to unpack boxes and organize the stuff. No where near finished though - thank goodness we're doing this at my mom's house! And thanks again to anyone who gave us their leftover stuff!
3. We have nothing against them, so if the little man likes it, we'll try it.
1. 4w 5d pp, feeling pretty good. Isabella's 1 month apt was today she's up to 10lbs! I was sort of worried about her gaining because everyone always comments on how "tiny" she is. She was nearly 8lbs at birth, not huge but not exactly tiny either!
2. My nap yesterday
3. She's not a huge fan of the paci and I kind of hope it stays that way. I didn't even intend to use one until I realized she was using me as a human pacifier. We only offer it when nothing else seems to be working.
2. Going to a Cookout, spending time with friends, and going to the outlet malls.
3. The boys were given paci's in the NICU, prior to that I was against them. Once they'd had them and I learned it was helped avoid SIDS, I was okay with them. Conner took the pacifier until he was about three months old and Carson took his until about nine months(stopped taking it because Conner kept ripping it out of his mouth).
4. No favorites, I tend to lean towards more MI teams though.
2. weekend highlight? (PIP if possible!) Family reunion with DH's side, seeing his sis and nephews, seeing DD interact with her cousins/2nd cousins. Also, having Monday off was lovely!
3. for the mamas - paci or no paci? why or why not? DD used a paci from about 1 day old until maybe 8 or 9 months. We didn't stop for any particular reason, we just misplaced it and she did fine without it, so we didn't give it back when we found it again. We relied on that paci a lot in those first several months- Not sure how things would have been different without it.
Sometimes I think that if she still had a paci now, she'd have weaned within the last couple months. Most of our nursing sessions now seem to be sleep/comfort related rather than hunger related. Paci would likely take that role, if she used one.
4. favorite sports team? I'll watch just about anything. Tend to gravitate toward any ND teams, plus Cubs, Colts, and Red Sox.
Re: "monday" check in
1. 7.5m pp, feeling fine.

4. ND football!
1. 10.5m pp...TWO more pills to go before we TTC
2. Spending time with my parents who are in town from Florida...
3. No paci...we had offered it early on, but at around 3 months old, he had no interest in it. He just wanted to play with it. He uses his two fingers to soothe him.

2. weekend highlight? (PIP if possible!) Hanging out with DH's family camping. There's a TON of pics, but we haven't uploaded them yet.
3. for the mamas - paci or no paci? why or why not? n/a My 'baby' (stepson) is almost 9 years old.

2. Neighbors had a cookout and it was a nice time getting to know them better and other neighbors living around us.
3. Yes, however they are both not really interested in it anymore.
4. COLTS!!!
1. Not exactly sure, never have kept exact track.
1. Where and how? mid-cycle
2. weekend highlight?
1. CD 14. Got my first crosshairs on FF - on day 11. This jives with what my mom's cycle was like (short - about 24 days), so I am happy about it.
2. we had a great hike with a friend on Saturday. It was lovely to get out in the fresh air.
3. No idea.
4. I guess I should say Notre Dame, but really the only sports I can get excited about are the Olympics.
