Murphy is our Terrier Mix who has been the center of our world and a total momma's boy. He's a total sweetie and loves everyone so I think he will love our new "pack member" just as much as he loves his momma.
@abuck83 - he looks JUST like my Cairn Terrier, but dark in color. So cute!!
This is my sweet Charlee - she is part lab/part Jack Russell terrier. She has the sweetest demeanor of any pup I've ever met! Gus was my husband's dog before we got married. He still looks at me like this every day! Like "I guess if you're gonna stick around, can you get me some food or something?!" He can be really sweet though & has been very protective, esp. now. He used to never cuddle with me, but now I often wake up with him curled next to me.And then there's Oliver, or "the most rotten cat ever" which is often his moniker. He's so soft & fluffy & sweet...when he wants to be, of course. He pretty much does what he wants & gets away with it! We love our fur babies - don't know what we would do without them!
One year old English Mastiff named Nemesis. We call her Nem for short. She will be half grown by the time baby gets here. She already weighs about 100 lbs.
This is Indiana (named after Indiana Jones) she is a 6 year old German Shepherd Black Lab mix. Biggest chicken sh*t you'll ever meet, but her bark is scary.
This is ShortRound (named after Indiana Jone's side kick in Temple of Doom) and she is the biggest suck! Loves everyone, but is completely attached to the dog.
This is Hermione. She is a litter mate of ShortRound. She's more skittish than ShortRound but when she wants lovings, she won't let you get away without giving it to her.
This is Daisy, she's almost 14 years old, and is seriously crabby old lady but she's my girl.
Here are my three fur babies ... Daphne is my calico and I got her after we had Hurricane Sandy. She's my Craigslist cat who was free yet sick so I spent tons to make her better and don't regret one dime! She's my # 1 shadow who sleeps with hubby and I every night! Jem is the gray and white. Jem has severe anxiety and I got her from my sister because she was peeing all over the house and I didn't want her to go to a shelter. She is much better at our house with no dogs and doesn't pee at our house! And Hailey is my tuxedo cat a friend found outside and I couldn't let that face go! She's my # 2 shadow lol.
These are my two pups- Cody is a bichon mix who is 11 and Layla is black poodle mix is 12. We rescued them both as older dogs from local shelters (when they were 7 and 11).
More pitty lovings! Riots my adopted pitbull, I am his third home by the time he was 18 months. He was pulled from a high kill shelter in CA and transported to Oregon. After his neuter surgery he came down with severe pneumonia and was about ready to be euthanized as he stopped eating and responding to medicine. A dog rescue with a nurse foster home available stepped in, took him home and nursed him back to life on her bed with an IV. He's just a fun guy, loves life and loves everyone in it! This dude is our catahoula leopard dog who we had before having kiddos. He's a high energy nervous nelly but is highly intelligent, extremely tolerant, and loyal. Loves to cuddle and ruin BBQs. He's eaten whole bowls of pasta salads, roasts, and birthday cakes.
I just really want to share these pics I took of our pup the other day hehe they will probably be part of our FB announcement (with text added). Sorry if they're super big, I can't change the size on my phone.
@LGW2015Oh my goodness, this is the cutest thing I've seen all day! Those eyes! And I want to kiss that nose! What kind of text are you thinking about adding? I've been trying to think of ways to incorporate our pups into an announcement as well, but haven't thought of anything I absolutely love yet.
@Kaessi haha awww he would love you forever. As long as you never stop giving him attention lol. As for the text, I was thinking probably something similar to this pic (which I found online and was recreating)! I'm thinking "Baby _____ October 2016". Although I also found this which is so adorable and DH loves the "battle for mommy's attention" (and it totally fits with our dog haha) so we might do that saying instead!
@lws I love the "battle for mommy's attention" - how cute! And I haven't seen that one before.
I took this picture of my pups yesterday...while it is not a good picture, it completely makes me laugh because it captures their personalities so well. Charlee, the white one, loves everybody & everything & looks like she could be saying, "What?! My very own baby that I can snuggle & cuddle & lick & love?! Yes!!" And I picture Gus, (with the voice of Brian from Family Guy) saying, "Really, a small human? You're gonna bring something else that poops & cries into this house? How am I ever supposed to get any sleep?!"
I am heartbroken friends...On Friday, we are putting our first baby, Toby, to sleep. He has a tumor on his spleen and they're not sure if it's already spread to the liver. He has a really bad heart and the vet doesn't think he'd make it through a surgery. Even if he did, he's almost 11 years old and has trouble getting around and just doesn't have the quality of life that he deserves. While it was the hardest decision I ever made, I know this is best for him. He will be able to go peacefully and we'll have our time to say goodbye. Still, there will be a hole in my heart the size of his paw print. Love you sweet Toby!
My 4 rescue babies. Drove to KY for two of them.. Love to spoil them all to pieces. They are so people friendly though I am a little concerned with them being in the baby's face.
Ohhh I have too many animals to share pictures of them all right now. Last time we had a thread like this, I shared a picture of Sophie so today I will share Brutus Maximus (aka Max). He's named after the horse in Tangled ETA: My profile picture shows me holding him as a puppy the day we got him... my how he's grown! haha
We have two dogs, Lulu and Rogue. They're sisters and spoiled rotten! We also have 3 male cats, Monkey, Bob, and Chanel (there was a slight gender mix up, but too late to change the name and cause more confusion!) We get the transgender cat joke all the time. Lol
Oh, @lilbabybrownI'm so sorry!! We've had to make that decision a few times over the years and it's just the hardest thing ever. I tell myself we're doing what's best for them, putting them at peace but it's just not fair. Their lives are too short - I want to love them longer!! Try to focus on all the good memories and that you gave your furbaby the best love and life possible! (I'm totally crying at work just thinking about it all...) Thoughts with you and your family!!
@ShawnaTS Omgosh I love your puppies! My parents had a dog and cat (before I was born). They named the male dog Sasha, and the female cat Woody (after Woody Guthrie) haha
This is Winston, our first baby! He will be 2 in June. He is such a big baby, he loves to snuggle! He has been attached to me since he found out I was pregnant.
My two sweeties. The top is my boy Cash snuggling (and actually asleep) with DH. The shelter where we got him wasn't sure of his breed. The bottom is my girl Ellie, a puggle.
I have very few frustrations with them. They're both such great dogs. They'll get energy and go crazy playing with each other, then as soon as you sit on the couch, they're in your laps snuggling. LOVE. THEM.

Thank you @LMNOBaby - that means a lot! Sorry to make you cry at work! I did a lot of that last week... Lots of good memories with him!
I know this is about OUR fur babies but my dog nephew Gooba passed away at around midnight and I'm just beside myself with grief over it. I loved him so much and he was just a special guy, I wanted to share.
We had a funny relationship, he loved to sneeze on me and wipe snot all over my pants. That's just the love we had, I over fed him carrots and treats and in return he loved me with all the snot he had. This picture (though he's blurry) was a night I went to visit my sister because I was upset and crying. He wouldn't get off my lap and I was covered in pug boogers by the time I got home. I'm going to miss him so very much and I'm incredibly sad I couldn't just give him one last carrot...or ten.
Aw, @ladyshark311I'm so sorry. Fur babies are the bestest friends and most giving of unconditional love. They always know how to make us feel better!! It's not fair that our time with them is so short. Try to focus on all the good memories and the special place he'll hold in your heart. Thinking of you!
@ladyshark311 - I know what you're going through. Just had to put my fur baby down last Friday & it was so hard! It was really hard for my sister too because she lived with me during his first 5 years so she was really close to him. So tough when we have to say good-bye. My Toby loved carrots too! I always joked that he would take a baby carrot over a steak any day!
We have two large sweet pups! The handsome fellow on the left is Tank. He is an 80 pound three year old American PitBull Terrier Mix. He is so sweet and lovey and he also still has all of his puppy energy! The foxy lady to the right is Maxine. We call her Maxine the Queen because she is so sassy, but oh so sweet and mellow. Max is a 75 pound 8 year old Black Lab. My concern with our fur babies and our very first human baby is that I don't know how our pups will act around a new baby. Tank is a fairly large dog and he is unaware of his large size. When he's really excited he will run and jump right in your lap. I've had to be super careful since being pregnant by slowly weaning him off of sleeping on our bed and being on the couch. He's such a cuddle bug but he doesn't know how big he is and I'm afraid that he might hurt the baby accidentally. Does anyone have any advice about introducing your new human baby to your fur babies?
Re: Fur Babies!
Here is mine, 5 year old princess named Oreo.
She is a spoiled brat. And adorable. This picture is her trying to interupt me while I was playing a computer game.
