I am a FTM, I'm 19wk today, and everyone around me says that I should be able to feel her moving, and i haven't. Is something wrong? I'm not even sure I know what I'm supposed to be 'watching' for?
I would talk to your ob about it, but from what I've heard is that every one is different and when you feel baby has a couple of factors. I've heard of some FTM not feeling baby until 21 weeks.
I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone is different. My friend didn't feel her first until 23 weeks. Sometimes it takes a little longer to feel baby for FTMs. It took me awhile to realize what the baby felt like when it was moving around.
If you have an anterior placenta it is totally normal to not feel anything this early. Even if it isn't anterior it is probably still normal not to feel. I am sure all is ok, but maybe call your doctor.
With my first, I wasn't sure I had felt any baby movement until my anatomy scan, when I could see the baby move and know that that was what I was feeling. It was very reassuring!
