Hi all! I disappeared for a while and missed you all.
Month/Cycle: 3/2 TTCAL
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: Temping, checking CM/CP, will try EODish after AF, metformin and all the vitamins.
R/R/CS: I'm just thrilled to have AF. I never thought I would say that, but a 52 day cycle was quite long enough. I'm trying not to get my hopes up that I'll O in a timely manner, because I don't want to go BSC again this cycle. I'm also thinking I may not do OPKs this cycle to minimize the stress and anxiety about O.
GTKY: You mean aside from marathon-watching House of Cards? Tomorrow I have to judge mock trial again at 8am (why do I do this to myself?) and I'm getting my hair done. On Sunday I'll go to church and hopefully not come into the office like I did last weekend.
@mrsdee15 - your bunny is really, really creepy. Good job.
@l9i - I'm sorry someone was insensitive. I think throat punches in these instances should be considered socially acceptable.
@pretzel2plus1I've used two different brands at the same time (literally, the same pee, because I'm BSC, see above) and had one be positive and one not be quite positive, so I guess switching mid-cycle could cause some confusion, but that may be because my ovaries are difficult. I'd probably order some more Wondfos and use another brand until they arrive.
@kellybean88 - I totally admire you for giving up caffeine and allergy meds. So hard, especially with allergies in the spring!! Those are the two vices I'm trying to kick this cycle (after AF ....better than never, right?) Any tips?
@cocog26 I'm sorry you're feeling stressed and anxious. I totally understand how you feel. Random: my DH and I are almost the same ages as you and yours! I'm going to be 33 in May and DH will be 36 in April. I'm trying not to remind him of that, because he'll say morbid stuff like, "I'm closer to 70 than I am to the day I was born" LOL.
WAYDTGKU: Charting, PNV, EPO, Mucinex, HIO ED in FW
R/R/CS: Based on CM and FF predictions, I'm thinking my FW starts today. Got OH to BD last night no problem, and already told him I'm expecting the same today, LOL. As I mentioned yesterday, he is still in the NTNP mindset, so I'm happy he's playing along so far. I think as long as we're still having fun and I'm not boring him with details, he's content to let me do whatever BSC things I need to. *TMI warning* Giving him whatever bedroom favors he wants at other times seems to go far, as well
GTKY: Nothing major. Hopefully all the sex!
Me: 45 OH: 42 Beloved SS: born 12/2011 TTC my bio #1/our #2 since January 2016 **TW** June 2016 had CP **end TW** August 2016 - dx with DOR Somewhere in here received recommendation to do IVF with donor eggs, elected not to; OH dx with Low T May 2017 - began freezing sperm June 2017 - OH began treatment for Low T July 2017 - began doing 1 IUI via a midwife and 1 at home insemination each cycle http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6259ba July 2018 - exhausted frozen sperm, officially NTNP since OH is probably shooting blanks
Jumping back in to say Happy Birthday @20T !! And @cocog26 , looks like we are cycle buddies! Sorry you are having a stressful time with charting. This cycle isn't going so hot for me either. FX you get some clarity with it soon!
*Disclaimer* Sorry if I
become less active on TB starting tomorrow (for one, I mobile bump on the weekends, and I hate doing that) In addition, we will get CRAZY busy at work starting next
week and I won’t be by my computer much until MAY. Boo. But I will be posting
regarding my cycle and lurking so I will still be around!
@jmr1515Yay to less spotting and start of a normal
period! I spot for several days before my period, maybe I should look into
acupuncture!
@sLass42Thank you! I stepped caffeine down gradually
and it was way easier than I thought it would be.Have fun on your vacation!
@20T Happy
Friday to you too! FX for today being O day! OH, AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!yay!
@kfair001
Hoping that this month isn’t anovulatory for you…FX that O comes soon!No signs for me yet either, I guess we really are cycle twins...:/
@mtvkv5 Have
fun at your cousin’s bachelorette party! How fun and CONGRATS on finishing your
MBA !!
@furbabymom2007no worries about not being around..as you can
see above that will be me for the next two months thanks to work!Glad things are looking normal for you…have
fun this weekend and enjoy your Mac, I LOVED mine when I was in college!
@AndiPandi127Your weekend sounds fun! And yay you might
hit timing!
@LecoolSooo glad you’re feeling better. And you’re
right, it’s great to at least get sick and get it over with before the FW!
@juliebeannnMy DH and I aren’t very *active* either, and so
far this month, EOD seems to be the right fit for us. Good luck! I am sore from
yoga last night, and know I will be even more sore tomorrow. I totally feel ya!
@houseofsetters
yay for AF leaving! Have fun with your temporary foster doggy!
@gonetotheseaohhh man I am sorry you have to share a
bedroom with family during your FW. Maybe you can sneak away somewhere and figure something out, or plan to get
some alone time in the room while your sister and her boyfriend are out!
@MamaMunn
Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned! Have fun!
@Kay6519I am SO sorry to hear about how the board
meeting turned out. I was really hoping for the best! FX that your DH was able
to calm down and is maybe feeling a *little* better about things after a night
of sleep.Hope O happens for you this
weekend and you can move over to the TWW soon!
@mrsdee I will be thinking of you and your appt
Monday! Your weekend sounds great!
@cocog26 I’m sorry your cycle is stressing you out. I
agree that no one prepares us for how hard TTC can be; but, you’re right—you’ve
found a great community here at TB. Thinking of you and hope you have a great
weekend!

Omg, somehow
I missed the whole second page of posts. Duh. OK sorry here we go again! I
think this is the last post I’ll be able to do today, so sorry if I miss anyone
after this!
@mrstuessyI don’t mind you jumping in at all, I’m not
sure how others feel. I don’ thave an answer to your question, sorry L I hope you start
feeling better soon and sex gets easier!
@Shwee25if I had a nickel for how many times I could
echo your “wtf bod” statement, I’d have SO MANY NICKELS. Lol. Have fun
snowmobiling!
@DiFazette
thanks so much! I totally understand not being able to say “pop” lol…that’s how
I feel about the word “soda!”
@l9i oooh I
have heard of Sherriff of Nottingham but I’ve never played. As far as board
games are concerned, we really enjoy Ticket to Ride (prob our fave), Settlers
of Catan, and Dixit. We have recently tried Carcassone and Betrayal at House on
the Hill (horror-themed game…LOVE this one!) We also play card games like Once
Upon a Time, Exploding Kittens, Sushi Go, etc. Lots of great games out there!I am the shame of my DH’s family as I don’t
know how to play Euchre (I am from Indiana and Euchre is like our state game)
but would like to learn—even though I grew up in Indiana my family never
played, oddly enough!
@linzrunz
YES FRIDAY!!!! And yay that you got to start temping today, woohoo! Good luck
this weekend!
@cjt121413 I
am glad AF came for you after 52 days, that is not easy!! And hopefully it will
leave soon too! Thanks about the caffeine and allergy meds. I get really bad
spring allergies so we’ll see how I do coming up…but so far, so good. I have
been taking an herbal allergy pill called “De-Hist” that my doctors office
sells. I took 6 pills a day for 7 days after dropping both allegra and Flonase to
get it into my system, and now take 2 pills each day. I also do neti pots every
so often. So far, I have been totally ok off the meds! I’m loving it
,especially considering the cost of Flonase+allegra each month. A bottle of
De-Hist is 120 pills and is $30. That’s half the cost of allegra! And believe
me, I am a baby about stuff. If I can kick it, ANYONE can lol.
@Aurora1973Haha I love your post about bedroom favors.
So true!

@kellybean1988 What??? No Euchre? And you're from Indiana? I'm from Ohio so it's pretty common here. I've heard good things about Ticket to ride, in fact that was next on my list to purchase I'll also have to check out some of those others to add to my collection -Thanks!

Haha, thanks for chiming in, ladies. She's 3 years younger than me, and she know that DH and I are TTC. So, I have been thinking to just tell her point blank, "Hey, this is my fertile week. Can you and your boyfriend go sight see for a little bit while I do the sex with my husband?"
I'm sure she would have no problem with it, but it's going to be SO AWKWARD. my DH has performance anxiety, so I'm worried about that as well, if I convince sis and her boyfriend to go somewhere else for awhile. UGHHH.

GTKY: I have my CD3 blood work tomorrow. After that, we may go to a movie or the home show (I want to remodel our house). Sunday should be pretty low key.
WAYDTGKU: PNV, diet, exercise, start progesterone today, having all of the sex!
R/R/CS: I went in for a blood draw, only to find my GYN hadn't actually ordered the labs. So he and I met, which turned into him being surprised that I know my body and already chart. He started to recommend I chart to make sure my LPs really are irregular, and I pulled out FF and told him, "I've been charting since September." Then he proceeded to ask if I was just temping and I literally laughed out loud. I told him I've been looking at CM and trying to interpret CP. He just stared at me for a few minutes after that. He started to recommend PNV, and I told him I have been taking them since September, too. Then he prescribed progesterone and said to call back for CD3 labs. I was so frustrated, because the last time I was in, he was super on top of everything. Today I felt totally talked down to. I have no idea what else to do. I'm currently at the store waiting for my prescription...
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? Today marks the start of spring break! I slept in until 8:30 and it was glorious! Tonight, I meet with my cousin for a Lenten Fish Fry, and then I have a baby shower for my bestie. Sunday night, I go over to her house to watch the final episode of Downton!
@pretzel2plus1 I'm
used to using wondfos but my RE wanted me to use FRER this cycle so I've been
using both and they seem to be reading the same. I know that's not the brand
you're wanting to use, but I think as long as its not one of the monitors that
compares every day to the day before you should be fine switching when you run
out.
@mrsstuessy I've
never used HBC but maybe the change in hormones is causing things to dry up
even though you're as aroused as usual. I'm not sure about the cervix feeling
low, but starting to use lube might help the bruised feeling you're getting.
Month/Cycle: 33ish
CD: 15
WAYDTGKU: Temping, OPK, Pre seed
R/R/CS: I had an ultrasound today with the RE to see if I'm ovulating well enough on my own. I had one 2 days ago, but this one was a lot more interesting to me. He said it looks like I ovulated today. And now I have progesterone labs next week. I guess I'll move onto TWW tomorrow as long as my temp rises since he confirmed ovulation.
GTKY: I work tomorrow so nothing interesting planned, but I'm off today so I'm having a Harry Potter marathon at home, then cooking country fried steak and homemade mashed potatoes for supper.

R/R/CS: DH is stuck at work super late today and I'm grumpy about it because I was looking forward to spending time with him tonight after an exhausting and long week for both of us. I'm also hungry and going to have to snack until he finally makes it home for dinner, and I hate that because sometimes I go overboard. No self control here. Also just in a generally bad mood today and not sure why!
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? Birthday cake for someone Sunday night, but other than that I'm hopefully just going to get to relax! I need a do nothing weekend. Minus the fact that I gave tests in all of my classes today and have to grade those at some point.
WAYDTGKU: the usual, trying to get in shape and chilaxin lol
R/R/CS: DH was supposed to be heading to Michigan for work the week before FW and not coming back until a couple days after projected O meaning kiss march goodbye. But this morning he found out that, for now at least, they're postponing for quite some time. FX! Also, see below...
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? We are making venison bologna tomorrow and I'm going to try to get some stuff for the house. My mom is being released from the hospital in about an hour (no surgery yet, only a stint to remove the infection. next week they'll remove the stone) so we'll be hanging around town instead of being out running all weekend in case she or my dad need anything.

R/R/CS: So happy it is Friday, but I have meetings tonight & tomorrow night late!
GTKY: I work on a project with China & there are key meetings this weekend. I have to be on calls tonight 9-11pm and 7pm-1am-ish tomorrow night.....DH is going to our neighbor's 50th birthday party without me tomorrow. I'm so bummed I can't go!
Thanks @jmr1515 & @MrsDho11 I literally had visions of cm flooding out of me post mucinex. I'll give it a shot this month and see what happens.
@babymish - that's not far off... It doesn't so much create mucus as thin it. I take a dose that's good for 12 hours 1X/day, and that seems to pretty quickly have me noticing lots. Granted, I also stopped swimming in the lead up to and during FW because I think that was massively drying me out (at least it was every other inch of my body), so I'm probably noticing something like a double effect.

@Buthayna holy crap that dressing sounds delicious. Can you send me the recipe? @kellybean1988 I agree, @pretzel2plus1 always makes me hungry too! @gonetothesea ugh, maybe you can sneak in a quickie? @l9i sorry for the crappy work interaction. People are so nosy and rude. @MrsDho11 now I'm intrigued and thinking about trying mucinex too!
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 10
WAYDTGKU: OPK, BD EOD, CM, PNV, BBT
R/R/CS: Probably going to start HIO soon, O day is predicted around CD20ish. Also I started reading TCOYF and I'm slightly disappointed. I LOVED The Impatient Woman's Guide to Getting Pregnant, and it actually referenced TCOYF. But now that I'm reading TCOYF, I'm finding that it's just a more technical version of the Impatient book and the Newbie guide. TCOYF would have been nice to have a decade ago so I could stop HBC.
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? Going to an amateur musical with some friends! The premise is bizarre, so it should be interesting.
R/R/CS: DH is away for the weekend which means we aren't going to get in every other day. I'm worried o will come while he's gone and our timing will be ruined. I tried to wake him up this morning for one last bd before he left and he wouldn't wake up! It takes a lot for me to get up that early, so I was not a happy camper.
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? Well, DH is gone and my school has a big audit so I'll be working and getting cozy with my dvr. It's been so busy, we haven't had any time together!
eta: I'm sorry that I was mentioned in posts earlier this week and didn't respond. I just now got on my comp and that's the only way I see notifications. i'm sorry @MamaMunn@MrsDho11 and @kellybean1988. I suck.
I don't want to get a reputation here as a drug pusher, so let me just say, you know, it's an "off label" use for Mucinex, so there are pros and cons for considering it. Always remember that.
I *usually* wind up with bronchitis several times a year, so Mucinex and I are already best buds, but you know. Just think about it!
Me: 30 DH: 32 ~~ TTC #1: Sep 2015 ~~ BFP: Mar 2016 ~~ Daughter: Nov 2016 TTC #2: April 2018 ~~ BFP: May 2018 ~~ EDD: January 2019
@kellybean1988 Yay walking dead! You just reminded me that I'm going to have three episodes to catch up on when we get back. That makes me happy. I love watching them back to back
@babymish I've been taking mucinex for an annoying cough since around cd3. I had some questionable EWCM off and on, but not that much different from questionable EWCM in past cycles. I documented it as EWCM anyway just in case even though it makes my chart ugly. In the last week I've had way more than my usual amount and I think I might've O'd two days ago, so I think it's been helping. Like others have said, mucinex doesn't create EWCM. It's an expectorant, designed to thin and loosen mucus, so I think it just makes EWCM more liquidy and apparent. Hope that helps somewhat
@MrsDho11 Yay for well-timed BD! So much more important than sleep
@Buthayna Oh my goodness that salad sounds amazing!
@mtvkv5 Congratulations on finishing your MBA program! What an accomplishment!
@furbabymom2007 I'm glad your tests are all normal so far! I am jealous of your MLS season tickets. My team (yay Timbers!!!) has a super long waiting list for season tickets and with DH's and my work schedules we're not able to make a lot of them games anyway. Have fun!!!
@gonetothesea There's always shower sex if you're sharing a room!
@mrsstuessy I've never used the nuvaring, but after my MC when my hormones were all whacky my cervix was really low and sex was pretty painful. It did go away. Hopefully sex will get better for you as your hormones even out.
@I9i Ugh, how insensitive and nosey. Sorry you had that happen
@cjt121413 I'm glad your super long cycle is over! Yay for starting fresh.
Month/Cycle: 7/7 (1/1 TTCAL)
CD: 24
WAYDTGKU: Charting all the usual things plus saliva microscope and acupuncture.
R/R/CS: So, I'm in Cambodia right now. It's 6am and I'm now wide awake. I spent 22 hours getting from Portland to here, but it's 15 hours ahead, so rather than skip a day on my chart I've been entering data for the day before. I think it'll even out when I get home. My temp went way up yesterday, higher than the last 18 days, and up a little more today. I'm hoping I'll be officially in the TWW with another high temp tomorrow, but it's possible they're just due to all the traveling. We'll see!
GTKY: Today is Saturday for me! Today we're going to see the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh, and I think a temple too. We'll probably walk around after that and try some local food for dinner. Tomorrow we fly to Siem Reap and don't have any concrete plans. We'll probably just wander around or take a tuk tuk and look at the city. So far this place is pretty amazing.

@pretzel2plus1 - I know I answered your question earlier, but I wanted to say that I hope you have nice make-up Valentine’s Day!
@kellybean1988 - I think that not pushing it when you’ve agreed on EOD not ED was probably a good call!
@babymish - I know I answered your question earlier too, but I wanted to say (in case you get busy and don’t make it on tomorrow) that I hope you have a wonderful short weekend and a safe flight!
@JediAlly85 - hooray for peak reading! I don’t think you can know all that reliably about the 12-48 hours. Temping helps, but only in hindsight after three (or sometimes more) high temps. Even then with the potential for a slow rise or fall-back rise, sometimes you can’t really tell. I think ultrasound might be the only (other) way to know down to the day. (That’s why people count +1 to allow for some leeway).
@SandwichLover - FX for temps to confirm O sometime when there’s good timing!
@Buthayna - Lemon maple salad dressing sounds intriguingly delicious!
@mtvkv5 - FX that the flashing smiley turns solid and you get temps to confirm shortly thereafter. Your chart looks good to me so far!
@furbabymom2007 - Glad that things look normal so far, hope that stays the same. Yay! I loved my Macbook Pro and was sad to give it back after I left my last job. (She says from her Macbook Air which is still kicking ass 4.5 years later).
@AndiPandi127 - Woo hoo! FX for your body continuing to cooperate and getting timing!
@Lecool - Glad that you’er feeling better! (And that you weren’t sick during FW, but sorry that it overlapped with cramps).
@juliebeannn - I vote yes, you can crawl back into bed! Hope you’re feeling not sore soon!
@houseofsetters - hooray for temps looking more normal, and FX that they stay that way!
@gonetothesea - FX that you get some timing in, whenever FW decides to hit!
@MamaMunn - I could definitely see a tetanus shot causing a temp spike, though I don’t have any personal experience with that. FX that your temps are back to normal tomorrow!
@Kay6519 - oh no! That seems like such a dumb result to all that! I hope that they’ve guaranteed that your DH will have backup if his boss tries to start any retaliatory shit.
@mrsdee15 - FX that AF is all done, and that your appointment goes well on Monday.
@cocog26 - It sounds like you need to find some other outlets. And if doing all this stuff is really that stressful, maybe you need to reconsider how much you’re doing. I’ve also found making sure I exercise fairly regularly and spending some “unplugged” time with adult coloring books to both help me manage stress levels.
@mrsstuessy - I think it’s fine for you to post while TTA. Offhand, I’d ask if you’ve been having sex more frequently, because that could be an issue. Or if you’re maybe not experiencing as much lubrication with arousal as you were on the NuvaRing? (I was on it for a while a few years ago, but I don’t remember which way that went for me). Since you’re still TTA, you should be okay to try a lube for a while and see if that helps.
@Shwee25 - how long are your cycles “normally”? CD7 seems early for O, so my guess would be it’s just a fluctuation that’s going to go away or you’re fighting a cold/flu/illness of some sort. FX that things get more stable soon, but if not, I’ll just say that my temps are rocky and I’ve still been able to see shifts. FX that you’ll still see something.
@l9i - That’s soooooooo annoying, sorry that you had to deal with that WHILE you have a migraine. *hugs*
@linzrunz - That sounds like a fun day tomorrow! And I’m glad your fever is gone!
@cjt21413 - 52 days is really long, I’d be feeling nuts by the end. FX that you do O soon and have a “normal” cycle.
@H4aPartyof5 - FX that you get good numbers off the CD3 blood work.
@BerkeBaby - I’m sorry that you didn’t feel that your appointment went well. It could be he’s just having a bad day, but I’m a big proponent of changing docs if you don’t like one and have other options available. Especially something like an GYN— you should be comfortable with him/her!
@aliciabhen - my DH frequently works very late, and it can be extremely frustrating. I’m sorry that you’re having to deal with it. FX that you guys can spend some time together this weekend.
@ladystinson - glad your DH was able to postpone the trip.
@MrsBinPA - Bummer about the meetings— I hope they at least end up being worthwhile.
@RatsPJ - TCOYF is very technical, so sorry if that’s not your thing and we built it up too much for you!
@itsmehere1212 - FX that O will hold off and you’ll have good timing. Trying to wake my DH up early for BD is pretty much impossible as well.

Thanks everyone for your input. I don't feel like I am any drier than normal. If it is still painful the next time we try I will add some lube though, it can't hurt at this point. I just remembered I conveniently have a dr. appointment in a week. And if we are having trouble still I will ask her about it. For now I will try and be patient and forgiving of my body. Thanks! I will be back later this month for a chart stalk, since it is my first one.

@MrsDho11 "Normally" my cycles are 24 days. Last cycle was my first cycle of temping and my Pre-O temps were also pretty rocky, but I was able to see a definite shift and O was confirmed on CD 12. The cycle before that, I also O'd on CD 12, but that was only confirmed with OPKs. I did have a really bad cold in the LP of last cycle that I finally got over with on Monday, so I don't think that could still be affecting my temps, but who knows! Thank you for CS'ing for me!

Is @juliebeannn avatar showing up the same as mine for anyone else? Her reply to this thread is on page 1. It's kinda freaking me out since it's a personal photo, not one I found on Google.
No. Mobile has been doing that to me with random other users as well. No worries @atcwag.
Thanks! I was totally like, I know my shoes are nice...buuuuuuuuuttttttttttt......
WAYDTGKU: Hella sex, going to start OPKs and temping next cycle
R/R/CS: My rant is that I'm just generally feeling kinda blah today. I'm over feeling alone (as far as my IRL family/friends) with the TTC process and the "it'll happen" advice that makes me want to shove a thermometer into someone's eye. I know it's super, super early into the process and I'm trying to have patience with myself and those who love me but gah! I just want to read my books and blogs and forums and make my plans for charting and what not in peace. I'm not telling anyone else at this point and I'm not updating anyone who I've already told. My rave is for these boards. It's really helpful to feel like I have a place to go to dump all these feelings where no one is going to look at me like I have 3 eyeballs because I want to temp or use OPKs or complain about not being KTFU after 2.7 seconds of trying (ok, maybe for that last one but it'll still be from a place of support!).
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? For the first time ever my grading is completely up to date and even entered into the gradebook system that prints report cards so I don't have to spend hours grading at the end of the grading period. I'm super excited to get back into the habit of going to the farmer's market. I fell off for over a month during the house buying/moving process as every weekend DH and I had things to do related to the house that made it impossible for me to go to the market. It's almost therapeutic for me to stroll the stalls and taste the goodies. I can't wait!. I also plan to attend a student basketball game which is always exciting because they appreciate the support.
@RatsPJ It doesn't have a real recipe... but I started with: - 2 tbsp lemon juice - 2 tbsp maple syrup (from Canada! that's what originally got me thinking to try this...I'm from Canada but live overseas and every once in a while I pull out the big ol' jug of maple syrup I brought with us haha) - 1 tbsp olive oil - a pinch of salt - a bit (which is more than a pinch..haha) of onion powder
I don't know what I ended up with though, because I added more lemon juice and maple syrup until it was the right sweet/sour balance that I wanted (and it was a bit too much oil to start with, I think! so i added other stuff to overpower the olive oiley taste) I have lots of leftover too, so I'll be having more today!

Re: WTO Friday
@pretzel2plus1 I've used two different brands at the same time (literally, the same pee, because I'm BSC, see above) and had one be positive and one not be quite positive, so I guess switching mid-cycle could cause some confusion, but that may be because my ovaries are difficult. I'd probably order some more Wondfos and use another brand until they arrive.
@furbabymom2007 - yay for good doc feedback so far!
@kellybean88 - I totally admire you for giving up caffeine and allergy meds. So hard, especially with allergies in the spring!! Those are the two vices I'm trying to kick this cycle (after AF ....better than never, right?) Any tips?
@MrsDoh11 @20T @JediAlly85- Awesome about the +OPKs. FX!

*Disclaimer* Sorry if I become less active on TB starting tomorrow (for one, I mobile bump on the weekends, and I hate doing that) In addition, we will get CRAZY busy at work starting next week and I won’t be by my computer much until MAY. Boo. But I will be posting regarding my cycle and lurking so I will still be around!
@jmr1515 Yay to less spotting and start of a normal period! I spot for several days before my period, maybe I should look into acupuncture!
@sLass42 Thank you! I stepped caffeine down gradually and it was way easier than I thought it would be. Have fun on your vacation!
@20T Happy Friday to you too! FX for today being O day! OH, AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!yay!
@kfair001 Hoping that this month isn’t anovulatory for you…FX that O comes soon! No signs for me yet either, I guess we really are cycle twins...:/
@mtvkv5 Have fun at your cousin’s bachelorette party! How fun and CONGRATS on finishing your MBA !!
@furbabymom2007 no worries about not being around..as you can see above that will be me for the next two months thanks to work! Glad things are looking normal for you…have fun this weekend and enjoy your Mac, I LOVED mine when I was in college!
@AndiPandi127 Your weekend sounds fun! And yay you might hit timing!
@Lecool Sooo glad you’re feeling better. And you’re right, it’s great to at least get sick and get it over with before the FW!
@juliebeannn My DH and I aren’t very *active* either, and so far this month, EOD seems to be the right fit for us. Good luck! I am sore from yoga last night, and know I will be even more sore tomorrow. I totally feel ya!
@houseofsetters yay for AF leaving! Have fun with your temporary foster doggy!
@gonetothesea ohhh man I am sorry you have to share a bedroom with family during your FW. Maybe you can sneak away somewhere and figure something out, or plan to get some alone time in the room while your sister and her boyfriend are out!
@MamaMunn Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned! Have fun!
@Kay6519 I am SO sorry to hear about how the board meeting turned out. I was really hoping for the best! FX that your DH was able to calm down and is maybe feeling a *little* better about things after a night of sleep. Hope O happens for you this weekend and you can move over to the TWW soon!
@mrsdee I will be thinking of you and your appt Monday! Your weekend sounds great!
@cocog26 I’m sorry your cycle is stressing you out. I agree that no one prepares us for how hard TTC can be; but, you’re right—you’ve found a great community here at TB. Thinking of you and hope you have a great weekend!

Omg, somehow I missed the whole second page of posts. Duh. OK sorry here we go again! I think this is the last post I’ll be able to do today, so sorry if I miss anyone after this!
@mrstuessy I don’t mind you jumping in at all, I’m not sure how others feel. I don’ thave an answer to your question, sorry L I hope you start feeling better soon and sex gets easier!
@Shwee25 if I had a nickel for how many times I could echo your “wtf bod” statement, I’d have SO MANY NICKELS. Lol. Have fun snowmobiling!
@DiFazette thanks so much! I totally understand not being able to say “pop” lol…that’s how I feel about the word “soda!”
@l9i oooh I have heard of Sherriff of Nottingham but I’ve never played. As far as board games are concerned, we really enjoy Ticket to Ride (prob our fave), Settlers of Catan, and Dixit. We have recently tried Carcassone and Betrayal at House on the Hill (horror-themed game…LOVE this one!) We also play card games like Once Upon a Time, Exploding Kittens, Sushi Go, etc. Lots of great games out there! I am the shame of my DH’s family as I don’t know how to play Euchre (I am from Indiana and Euchre is like our state game) but would like to learn—even though I grew up in Indiana my family never played, oddly enough!
@linzrunz YES FRIDAY!!!! And yay that you got to start temping today, woohoo! Good luck this weekend!
@cjt121413 I am glad AF came for you after 52 days, that is not easy!! And hopefully it will leave soon too! Thanks about the caffeine and allergy meds. I get really bad spring allergies so we’ll see how I do coming up…but so far, so good. I have been taking an herbal allergy pill called “De-Hist” that my doctors office sells. I took 6 pills a day for 7 days after dropping both allegra and Flonase to get it into my system, and now take 2 pills each day. I also do neti pots every so often. So far, I have been totally ok off the meds! I’m loving it ,especially considering the cost of Flonase+allegra each month. A bottle of De-Hist is 120 pills and is $30. That’s half the cost of allegra! And believe me, I am a baby about stuff. If I can kick it, ANYONE can lol.
@Aurora1973 Haha I love your post about bedroom favors. So true!

WAYDTGKU: PNVs and waiting out AF
R/R/CS: Glad it's Friday.
GTKY: I have my CD3 blood work tomorrow. After that, we may go to a movie or the home show (I want to remodel our house). Sunday should be pretty low key.
DH: 36⎹ Me: 36
CD: 16
@pretzel2plus1 I'm used to using wondfos but my RE wanted me to use FRER this cycle so I've been using both and they seem to be reading the same. I know that's not the brand you're wanting to use, but I think as long as its not one of the monitors that compares every day to the day before you should be fine switching when you run out.
@buthayna OMG that salad sounds SO good.
@mrsstuessy I've never used HBC but maybe the change in hormones is causing things to dry up even though you're as aroused as usual. I'm not sure about the cervix feeling low, but starting to use lube might help the bruised feeling you're getting.

I LOVED The Impatient Woman's Guide to Getting Pregnant, and it actually referenced TCOYF. But now that I'm reading TCOYF, I'm finding that it's just a more technical version of the Impatient book and the Newbie guide. TCOYF would have been nice to have a decade ago so I could stop HBC.

eta: I'm sorry that I was mentioned in posts earlier this week and didn't respond. I just now got on my comp and that's the only way I see notifications. i'm sorry @MamaMunn @MrsDho11 and @kellybean1988. I suck.

TTC #2: April 2018 ~~ BFP: May 2018 ~~ EDD: January 2019
@20T Happy birthday!!

November 2016 April Siggy Challenge - April Showers
@atcwag - FX for some signs soon followed by O!
@sldp123 - sorry that you’re feeling like you live at the RE. I’d imagine that’s not really any fun. FX that it all pays off soon!
@DiFazette - FX that the AF moves out soon!
@juliehollz13 - UGH, sorry about your thermometer! How frustrating!
@jmr1515 - Nice! Glad you’re getting a “normal” period (so far).
I wish you luck in backing off and “letting go”. I hope it works for you!
@sLass42 - Good luck with making temping work for you!
@20T - FX for O! Happy Birthday!
@kfair001 - FX for O!
@Aurora1973 - FX for a good FW!
@CajunSnowWhite89 - Glad that he saw ovulation on the ultrasound!

It doesn't have a real recipe... but I started with:
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (from Canada! that's what originally got me thinking to try this...I'm from Canada but live overseas and every once in a while I pull out the big ol' jug of maple syrup I brought with us haha)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- a pinch of salt
- a bit (which is more than a pinch..haha) of onion powder
I don't know what I ended up with though, because I added more lemon juice and maple syrup until it was the right sweet/sour balance that I wanted (and it was a bit too much oil to start with, I think! so i added other stuff to overpower the olive oiley taste) I have lots of leftover too, so I'll be having more today!
