I've just really started feeling little leech note around daily, and from the outside too. DH doesn't have patience to wait to feel it and my FFFC, I'm kinda glad. He doesn't have to deal with the shitty parts (sometimes all to literal) of this pregnancy, so I'm happy to take a few weeks of the nice parts and not share.

Me: 33 DH: 32 Married 7/18/15 1st born at 35+4 on 6/6/16 Team green turned BLUE! 2nd born at 38+6 on 8/30/18 Team green turned PINK! Due with #3 on 6/6/20 Team Green
My FFFC: I nap every day. I don't think I could survive if I didn't.
Teach me your ways! I'm struggling to sleep at night at DD is so active during the day that I'd love to be able to get her to nap with me.
Murph is a nap champ! He goes down for 2-3 hours about 3 hours after he wakes up. It is glorious. I could use that time to clean or do other things but I don't, I nap. Some days he won't nap early so we go to the back yard and run around and then he is ready for nap time. I think he is a good sleeper because I love sleep haha, that seems logical right??
I hate you a little bit. DD is a night owl AND early riser like her dad. I'm Team All The Sleep. Makes for a fun week. I'm thinking tomorrow DH can get up with her and I can snooze a little longer and catch up on my sleep I've missed this week.
@TattoosandLace yeah, I've been hoping like crazy that this baby has my sleep habits instead of DHs & DDs. They are both very much of the mentality that "sleep is for babies!" My 2 yr old that hasn't taken naps in months no matter what I do, thinks that's hilarious.
I haven't consistently taken my make-up off before bed in months
There is more makeup on my snoogle than my face in the morning because of this very thing...
No flames here, because I confess: I'm too lazy to put on makeup most days. And DH tells me not to all the time anyway, which has actually improved my self-image a few notches.
@Shelby00519 I hear you!! Always a fun time explaining to your parents how you'll be parenting. They think obviously their way was the right way, since we all turned out so great, right?!? *Rolls Eyes* My mom has shared her fair share of opinions on purchased items, time off work, etc. Then she'll go out and buy $150 worth of baby clothes when we're not even finding out the gender.
I'll piggy back on your complaint - my FFFC is I've had a life-long battle with used items. I've never purchased anything off Craigslist/Ebay that hasn't been new with tags. I'm not into borrowing clothes. The idea of going to Goodwill terrifies me! I know I could and should, as it would be an obvious money saver. I certainly don't judge anyone that shops this way. I wish I had it in me! I did give myself a pat on the back because I haven't turned down any hand me down baby items, but the houses they've come from are super nice, clean people that we trust. Hopefully having the baby, and the handful of used items will help transition me to a different thought process because I don't want kid growing up being a used item snob like I am!
I bought the make up remover towlettes and some alcohol free toner so when I don't feel like washing my face at night I atleast get my foundation off... its been helpful
I have never washed my makeup off at night. Gross, maybe, but washing my face too often makes it break out. I'd rather wash it in the morning, and even then I just use Burts Bees baby face wipes. I don't wear foundation, so I guess I don't have much on my skin. Besides grime and grease from the day, I guess.

I'm praying the same thing. For both you and me now!
@TiffRox81 I was that way before DD was born. In all honesty, I am still that way when it comes to clothing for me, but have changed my views on it for DD. I spent the first two years of DD's live always buying new (and I was buying brands like Gymboree and crap), but after awhile, I realized how little use it was actually getting. I finally bit the bullet, and decided to hunt around in consignment shops. There are a lot of sketchy ones in my area, but I did find one good on, that is super picky about the clothing that they accept into their store. For the past 18+ months, I have been doing a mix of new items from the store, items from the consignment store, and then a few splurge items (that I get in gender neutral colors so they can be used by both sexes). I have been finding some killer deals at this consignment shop....brands like Baby Gap, Gap Kids, Gymboree, Janie and Jack, Nordstrom brand, etc....all for around $2.50 to $6....a lot of them still have the tags on them, or look like they have never been worn. I usually buy her Keen sandals every summer and they cost me over $50 after shipping. I found a BRAND new pair, not a scuff, mark, fraying on the straps, not a single mark on the bottoms.....for $8 (for this summer). They also do a stamp card, for every $10 you spend, you get a stamp (and then when the card is full, you get 20% off your entire next purchase). My husband rolls his eyes when he sees me come in with a bag from that store, but he knows how much I am saving, that he wasn't phased when I bought DD a pair of Hunter boots for Christmas....since he knows how much I save the rest of the year on her clothing.
@PhoebeJune1984 You give me hope!! Hahaha! We have a cute place in my neighborhood that I've noticed FB neighbors have been raving about. Like you mentioned - they have name brands, Gap clothes for $2-4, etc. Can't beat that. And it is hard to justify the cost of all that cuteness when they wear it so little!! I'm curious to check it out myself. I bought Baby Gap outfits for friends' kids from the outlet and I still ended up spending about $30 on each 3 piece outfit. They're 18 months so I'm hoping they get a little more wear out of them than infant clothes.
I know this is my second mother-in-law themed FFFC, but hopefully it will be the last, after the terrific impression she made being here the last few days.
I no longer wish my mother-in-law was dead instead of my father, instead I'm holding out hope that she will get yet another dui, considering she and my brother-in-law drove home drunk and high from the city yesterday, and that this time it won't get busted down to a wet and reckless and she will finally go to prison for life on the 3-strikes rule. I don't care if that bitch lives until 113, as long as she does it as far away from me as possible.
@TiffRox81I buy almost all of DS's clothes from a trusted consignment shop. He's almost always wearing carter's or gymboree and I spend basically nothing on them. It's Awesome! I also joined a buy/sell/trade group. It's through my mom's group I attend weekly. Today I bought a bag of clothes from a mom there and she threw in two extra boxes of clothes that she hadn't sorted through, so she didn't know the condition. sure there were some stains on some but check out the picture, I got all of that for $20.
We went to Arbys the other night before going to see Deadpool. I couldn't finish my meal before the movie started....so I snuck it in in my purse. Curly fries are now a must for movie nights.
Edited because I can't spell and my phone hates me
I don't care how much people spend as long as they can 'afford it'. Example, I had a 'friend' that had to have all these strollers, expensive ones. A pottery barn nursery set with the bedding, all high or higher end stuff. But could not afford her diapers and was bumming money from family. Sell your 4 $400 plus strollers and support your own kid!
I also have a family member that did not have a job, lived with family, and had fertility treatments.... I think I paid for her diapers for the first 3 months.... she wants another one now. The family has been very firm on saying 'we will not help you'
@Nerdchild what county does she live in?!?! Geez! I did DUIs for a while and some of the counties in the bay area would not let that sh*t fly with just a wet and reckless. I'm sorry you and your husband have to go through this. I feel really bad for your husband because I can imagine she's been disappointing him like this for some time. Hang in there. What I've learned is that most people get their DUI and they get their ish together those who don't really do end up in jail. I just hope she doesn't hurt anyone else.
@Kellyj103Two of them are from Nevada, one was in either Alabama or Georgia. If they had gotten pulled over this time it would have been my brother-in-laws third in less than 5 years.
@Nerdchild crazy!!! Well if either one of them get in trouble in CA, they're gonna be screwed. I don't blame you for not wanting to be around that mess.
I'm eating ice cream in my car on my lunch hour. Also, I've built up a pretty impressive collection of fast food trash in my passenger seat floorboard and have zero intention of cleaning it out anytime soon.
ETA: what's going on with my screen name? Totally weird.
@PugsandKisses I completely understand that. But the last time our parents have helped us with anything was our wedding almost 4 years ago. So she really has no point in bitching to us on how we spend our money

My 4 year old is an amazing sleeper. Last night, she went down at 8:45, and this morning...I couldn't wake her up at 7:45 to bring her with me. It was like trying to wake a bear out of hibernation. So MH told me just to leave her, and he would bring her out to me later in the day. She ended up sleeping until 9:30am. If it wasn't for the fact that she cannot take a nap today (space where she naps is currently in use), she would take a 2-3 hour nap. I have friends with kids that go down at 9pm, wake up at 5am, and don't nap.....they think that my kid is a freak of nature and that it isn't healthy that she sleeps so much. At age 4, kids should be getting around 11.5 to 14.5 hours of sleep (that is including naps), and my DD gets around 14.75 (if she takes a 3 hour nap). Their kids are getting 8 hours of sleep total...so I think their kids aren't healthy.
I will probably be formula feeding by day 3 and I feel no guilt about it. There is soooo much pressure on women to breast feed. I DO NOT in any way disagree that it is the best for your baby, and I support all women that do it! My best friend is an absolute BFing champ. However, when I read stories about women that even end up having to go to counseling because of the guilt they felt from not being able to, I feel terrible for them!
With my DS, I was totally panicking and having terrible anxiety about being a new mom and trying to feed my baby. I was also struggling with the sleep deprivation. The moment I gave him a bottle of formula, all was well. For me, being a happy mom was more important. I was able to be much better for my son and relax and enjoy him. He is now a healthy and smart almost 3 year old!
Lame and late to the FFFC party but tonight I ate raw Ahi tuna, edamame, and aioli (raw eggs) and broke ALL of the pregnancy food rules and it was fabulous! Best date night ever !!

This. All of it! I haven't given up sushi. Or my medium rare steaks for that matter.
@LDSJM123 yes girl. I haven't given up sushi either but this was a ahi salad from my fave restaurant that I've been craving forever and it was SO worth it!

How do you justify continually hurting and disappointing your kid?!
