R/R/CS: I tend to have longer cycles/O later than "normal," which is fine, except that I'm running out of Wondfo OPKs. I'm testing twice a day right now, and I have enough to get me to CD 23. Historically I've O'd between CD 25-30, with the occasional one before then. I started testing earlier this cycle because I wasn't sure if the laparoscopy (and endo being removed) might change my cycles. I was trying to be prepared for anything! Now the question: is it okay to just buy a different brand of OPKs mid-cycle, or would you order some wondfos? Is it okay to switch brands if I happen to be in the middle of the surge at the time? I wasn't originally planning on ordering wondfos because I wanted to try clear blue next cycle if not KU.
GTKY: I have a bridal shower to go to on Saturday for a friend, and then it's make-up Valentines Day! I had the laparoscopy on the Friday before V Day, and I didn't feel like doing anything, so we just decided to reschedule it! We're going out to a nice dinner, and maybe a movie.
Edited because of and if aren't the same.

WAYDTGKU: raspberry leaf tea until O, pre-seed, prenatal vitamins, folapro, BD EOD started CD12, yoga, cardio, BBT charting, CM charting. I stopped taking all allergy meds (allegra and flonase) about a month ago and switched to herbal De-hist, which I LOVE. Have been off all caffeine and pop for 7 weeks and counting!
R/R/CS: I was proud of myself last night--DH got home early and I thought to myself "ooooh ,we could totally BD tonight..." but it wasn't in the EOD schedule that we promised each other we would follow this month, so I didn't even bring it up. Woot! I'm counting that as a victory. As I've said before on here, we both enjoy sex--but we are not every day or multiple times a day folks. We CAN do ED if we must, but EOD is gonna be better for us.
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? It's a busy weekend for us. We are getting together with another couple tonight for a gaming night, I get to sleep in and work out tomorrow, and then tomorrow night our church is hosting an auction that DH is auctioneering, lol. Sunday is church and then travel to see my brother and take him out for lunch as yesterday was his bday...can't believe he's 25!!! Then Sunday afternoon is yoga class and Sunday night is The Walking Dead, and then back to work on Monday.

R/R/CS: I have mucinex to use this month but wanted to ask those who are already using it - do you sacrifice checking your natural cm for it or do you take some once you spot fertile cm? Also if you use mucinex to create fertile cm because you don't produce enough/any do you log your cm as fertile in ff even though it was created by mucinex?
I get one rush of ewcm but can have different types of cm through the day so feel I need to try mucinex to ensure its fertile enough when we get the chance to BD. I can monitor O quiet well with opk's but not sure how I should mark my cm on ff when using mucinex.
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans?
I have to fly out again Sunday morning so we are trying to squeeze some fun things into tonight/ tomorrow to make the most of our short weekend together. We will have dinner out tonight and go to the cinema. No plans made yet for tomorrow.
Edited because my phone LOVES to choose words for me
@pretzel2plus1 I'm fairly new to opks myself, but this cycle I started using CBAD, and ive been using my wondfos too just to compare. And I haven't noticed a difference, other than the CBAD being a little easier to read since its digital and getting the high and peak instead of just neg/pos. But if you look at the test stick itself you still have the blue lines and they look identical to me. So I see no reason why you couldnt switch it up mid cycle. They are significantly more expensive but i am really liking the CBAD.
**Question in R/R/CS**
Month/Cycle: 4/4
CD: 15
WAYDTGKU: PNV's, OPKS's, Temping, Metformin, BD ED now
R/R/CS: So yesterday I had the high reading on my CBAD, and today I got the peak! I'm still not 100% positive that I can count on this cause of PCOS but I'm excited about it. It actually matches up with what FF predicted. So I'll see what my temps do. We decided to switch from EOD to ED now.
Here is my question though, So I do the opks at around 430am, Yesterdays was high and it was our off day of EOD(started CD11) so no BD, then today I got the high right after we did BD. The thing im unsure of is how long I would have had the peak between yesterday at 4 and today at 4. And if not BDing yesterday hurt us. We plan to BD tomorrow, sunday and monday to be safe. I know everything i read says you have 12-48 hrs, but I wish I could know something closer. My temp went up slightly today, how much does it have to go up for you to count it as the shift? Is that the only way to determine which day I O vs the day of the peak?
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans?
There is a town St pattys day parade tomorrow we might take DS to, and I have got to finish our taxes lol.
R/R/CS: been away for work for a couple days and never had a chance to post but I lurked no idea what my temps are doing.. I had a bit of a spike this morning to where I was last month right after o. But I didn't get a dip yesterday and my room was really hot this morning when I woke up.. I guess I'll just see what happens tomorrow. Still new to this whole charting and temping thing.
GTKY: weekend plans happy Friday all! I'm spending the evening doing dinner with my dad. Tomorrow I have my usual gym plans and H and I are going to order sushi for dinner. I do need to work this weekend though probably a little bit both days.
@pretzel2plus1 I like the idea of a makeup v day dinner better! I hate prix fixe that is often the norm on v day. Have fun! @kellybean1988 happy birthday to your brother! Have fun with the bday lunch.
R/R/CS: I made a lemon maple salad dressing and it's making me want to eat a ton of salad, so that's good I just had lunch and it was lettuce with peppers, cucumber, apple, pear, and strawberries with the dressing....sooooo good...and raspberry soda (we'll pretend that was also healthy)....and peanut butter cookies...ok, I need to stop now before it gets any worse!
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? actually enjoying a weekend without working....I got all my work done this week on my week off, so I actually have a regular weekend with no need to work!! @pretzel2plus1 I ran out of Wondfos mid-cycle last month and it somehow fell on a weekend so even with Prime I wasn't going to get them until Monday, so I switched. I bought the cheap Answer brand at Walmart and I actually really liked them.
@JediAlly85 I wish there was a better way to pinpoint the time of O, too, 12-48 hours is kind of a wide range. But even with skipping a day, it sounds like you still have your bases covered. Yes, your temps will be the only way to confirm O, and you will have to see a sustained shift for 3 days before you will know for sure.

@Babymish I believe you are supposed to start taking the Mucinex around CD7 and up to ovulation. It is supposed to help increase CM but it won't create it, so I would continue marking fertile CM whenever you see it. Make sure it is the plain guaifenesin and isn't mixed within anything that can dry you out. I took it a while ago and I actually didn't get any CM that month so I haven't tried it again. GL!
Month/Cycle: 9/9
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: most things + acupuncture.
R/R/CS: So before I started acupuncture I would get 3-4 days of spotting before AF and a weird flow (dark and clotty for the first day), plus they were shorter than I remembered before the pill. This month after starting acupuncture I had very little spotting and the start of a normal period! Super happy about that!
I finally got a call from the gynecologist my GP referred me to and I have an appt for the end of the month to start preliminary tests for me. Once all of that is done, we will get a referral to the fertility clinic in the city (3-6 month wait for that).
I've decided I'm not going to chart going forward since my cycles are so regular and the obsession has been really wearing on myself and DH. We figure that if it's meant to happen naturally it will and if we need help we'll probably have to wait until the fall so there is no need to stress and obsess anymore. We are going to focus on our trip to Europe in May and other things that we enjoy for the time being.
So I may not be participating as frequently on the boards as part of the whole "letting go" attitude.

R/R/CS: it's been a busy week at work so I have been able to bump much
i had a doctors appointment this week where they did an ultrasound to check out my ovaries a according to my doctor everything looks normal. Also, the cd 3 blood draw looks normal. The doc also told me that the follow up Pap smear I had two week before looked normal (it was not normal 6 months ago). I still have a cd 23 blood draw next week and DH had his SA in a week or two. It is a big relief to hear that all that was normal. I have super light and spotty periods so I was concerned. It anything is going to show something on my side I think it will be a progesterone issue that will show up on the CD 23 draw. But we will wait and see
the he doc outlined the next steps (checking to see if tubes are open/ flushing them out and a medication (not clomid) to help ovulation but since I am fairly sure I am ovulating I figure we'd at least wait a few more months before taking any more steps.
I am just relieved to know that things look normal so far.
The doc prefers OPKs to temping which is fine. I am still temping, but I grabbed some cheap OPKs from the drugstore since I seem to have trouble turning the wondfos. I wasn't going to use OPKs this cycle but at least now I can tell the doc I used them. I think I got a positive yesterday because it was darker than Wednesday or today. Just waiting on temps to confirm.
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans?

Tomorrow I am taking my sisters engagement photos.
sunday we have the home season opener for the local MLS team and we are season ticket holders. So we will tailgate and have some fun
@JediAlly85 Your shift is detected by FF after you get three sustained higher temps. That's the only way to really confirm O. The OPKs help to give you a little prior warning. I also wish there was a better way to know for sure. It would be amazing if it was at least always on the same day so that we could plan around it!
WAYDTGKU: Now: Temping + Waiting for AF to get outta here / Then: OPKs, CM

R/R/CS: (ETA posted prematurely) So the board meeting was not good. Everyone at the department presented evidence of the chief's misdoings (ie credit card and bank statements showing the chief using tax dollars to purchase personal items for himself or to pay for his personal bills among other things). In spite of all the very obvious evidence of criminal wrongdoings, the board decided not to pursue criminal charges or to pursue the matter whatsoever because they are worried it will make their department look bad. It's so stupid! So now the chief has already put in motions two requests to vote on the termination of two of the employees who provided the evidence that he is embezzling and lied about the state and federal mandatory certifications he must possess to even be a chief. Plus he has filed a motion to demote one of the assistant chief's to a rookie position because he had requested the copies of the chief's certifications from the state as evidence that even the state records verify that the cheif did not have the mandatory certs required. It's a giant shitstorm. So ridiculous. So I'm hoping that a romantic weekend away from work will help DH relax and de-stress. DH was so furious after the meeting last night that he was shaking when he got home. I don't understand why they would think that allowing this illegal activity to go unpunished and unchecked is better for the department image than addressing the issue.
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans?
This weekend is when O is expected to occur, so we will be having all the sex. Aside from that not too much going on. DH has requested homemade manicotti; so I have to go grocery shopping for the ingredients tonight.
WAYDTGKU: The stuff you'd expect at this point in the cycle.
R/R/CS: AF is pretty much gone. I'm nervous about my Monday doctor appointment to talk about potential ovarian cysts (I get really anxious whenever I go to the doctor), but will be glad to have some plan in place.

WAYDTGKU: The usual - prenatal vitamins, extra Vitamin D and Calcium and CoQ-10 because I'm a vegetarian.
R/R/CS: My cycle is so irregular and it's stressing me out so much. I hate waking up every morning having to temp and pee on a stick - I'm seriously waking up so anxious just knowing I have to do these things, and waiting for results. It's an awful way to start the day. I never thought TTC would be so hard. My husband is going to kill me because all I do is plan and talk about planning and go from being excited and positive to anxious and crazy. He's trying so hard to be supportive, but I don't even know who could handle me right now!!! Hoping to ovulate tomorrow or Sunday. It's good to know I can come here and talk to you ladies and you know what I'm going through. Hope you all have a great weekend!
Question in R/R/CS and also definitely TMI in the sex department
I hope you ladies don't mind me jumping in for the day. We are still TTA until next month. But, I have a question and I thought this might be the best place to ask. Feel free kick me out if I shouldn't be here.
Month/Cycle: TTA until next month... getting so close!

WAYDTGKU: we are using condoms and a bit of pull it out method right now. I did start charting last week though. So, hopefully that will help me know what is happening with my body.
R/R/CS:TMI warning!I have a question. I took out my Nuvaring 2 weeks ago. So, I am dealing with some coming off birth control symptoms. Nothing really crazy for the most part. A tiny bit of crampyness, some crazy PMS type emotions. But this last week sex has been really uncomfortable and weird. Is that a stopping birth control symptom, or am I dying? It is really just cruel, because my sex drive has actually gone up a bit since stopping bc. So, we have had sex 3 times this week, which hasn't happened in years. But, it feels weird. I typically orgasm when we have sex. I like sex. We are good at it. (not to brag) This week it feels, first of all, like my cervix is really low and he hits it no matter what. And my vagina almost feels like bruised or something, just sort of painful. There is no way I was going to orgasm feeling like that. I have been able to just get through it for him to finish and then he can finish me in other ways. But, what the heck is up with my vagina?! It is really bumming me out. Is this going to get better soon? Any input or experience will help. Thanks!
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? Not really. This is the first weekend in a month that we are going to be home all weekend, with no one staying here. So, I think we are just going to enjoy some family time. Today is sort of our Saturday, we are going to the indoor kid play place with DD today. And then probably out to eat afterward. Tomorrow DH will have to work on school. So, today we are going to get out while there aren't 8 billion kids there.

R/R/CS: I have a huge rant. Yesterday I stayed home from work because I had an awful migraine and sitting in front of a computer all day wasn't going to happen. Around lunch, I signed on my laptop because I got a text there were a few items I needed to take care of. A coworker IMs me and asks how I'm feeling and before I even respond that it's a migraine she asks if I'm pregnant and stayed home because of morning sickness. I responded that I wasn't and she proceeded with asking if I was sure. What??? How at all is that appropriate? As someone with a recent MC that hurts. If it was in person I certainly would've taken the opportunity for some "education". ughhhhh

We also plan to finish painting our half bath so we can put in the vanity/sink and get the project wrapped up so it's no longer a disaster zone.

@cocog26 Sorry you are feeling so stressed. This process is definitely draining at times. In the beginning, I had trouble sleeping some nights because I was so anxious to see what my temp was going to do. Luckily, that has faded for the most part and it has just become routine. Is this your first cycle charting? I'm just asking because I think CD10 or 11 would be pretty early to O, so don't be stressed if it doesn't happen this weekend.

Thank you @sldp123. I've sort of been charting on and off, but this is the first cycle I'm doing it religiously. It seems like I have been ovulating early (like btwn CD9 and CD11), but who knows! My cycles are so irregular. Last month I got AF on CD22, the month before it came CD29. Hoping charting will give me some clarity. Just having a really tough day for some reason. Feeling very emotional and down. Appreciate the support!
@l9i I am SO sorry that coworker did that to you. HOW RUDE. Seriously, none of that was even close to appropriate. I would be mad too!
Also, looks like you guys are going over to another couples' for a game night this weekend too! We are doing that tonight. What kind of games do you play? We are into ALL sorts of gaming. RPGs, board games, you name it, we'll play it!

@cocog26 I'm really sorry you're having a bad time, and I hope you get some answers soon! Creepy internet hugs to you - I've had some bad TTC days lately too and they are a bummer.
DD born PPROM preemie at 36 weeks on 10/1/17 after over a year TI, then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.
Due with #2 5/2/19 after HIO once in my FW, because apparently that's how life works now. Team Blue!
@mtvkv5 - I'm dying to do an escape room! Have fun and FX for O!
@furbabymom2007 - Happy to hear all of your tests so far were normal! Enjoy your Mac. I loved my old one and didn't buy one when I needed it replaced because I couldn't justify the price difference when it died and we were expecting DS. I remember saying - I can buy a crib with the cost difference between a PC and a MAC. Boy am I sorry.
@MrsDee - Enjoy the zoo! FX for a good appointment on Monday!
@cocog26 - Sorry for all the stress around temping.
Sorry if I mistyped anyone's SN. TB used to autofill SN so I know they were right but it's not today. Also - I almost always bump on mobile... you guys found some really scary Easter bunnies. Well done.
@kellybean1988 Yes! They have a new board game we are going to try out, Sheriff of Nottingham. I haven't played it before, so should be fun. We are always looking for some new board games if you have suggestions. Other than that, we will probably play some Euchre.

WAYDTGKU: I started temping this morning! My fever was completely gone. Woohoo! Also, all the sex around O time.

GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? Wait...it's Friday?? YAY! We are headed to the nearest big city (hour and a half away) for the day tomorrow for a family fun day. We usually go to the city to run errands since we live in such a small town, but this trip is just for fun! I also get to pick up my new ring!! Sunday will be full of painting our old house. We HAVE to get it sold this summer so we can finalize the sale on the house we are currently in. It's been stressful, but I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. WAYDTGKU: all the usual.

There is a town St pattys day parade tomorrow we might take DS to, and I have got to finish our taxes lol.

WAYDTGKU: Temping, OPKs, About to start our EOD baby making dance
R/R/CS: I had a huge temp spike this morning, but I'm pretty positive it's because I got my tetanus shot yesterday.
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? Today I'm working on cleaning up the house. Then I have an eye exam so I can get some new glasses! Yay! And then grocery shopping and probably going out for dinner with DH when he gets home from work. Tomorrow we are meeting up with my BIL and his girl friend while they are visiting from out of state. And Sunday I'm working, boo.

Month/Cycle: 4/4
CD: 4... Lots of 4s today.
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? We are going to be working out, going to the zoo, relaxing, and seeing a friend for lunch - I think that all sounds pretty nice! Especially because it's our zoo's anniversary so my favorite cupcake place in town is selling cupcakes there this month.

GTKY: HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
Me: 33 | DH: 35
I hope you ladies don't mind me jumping in for the day. We are still TTA until next month. But, I have a question and I thought this might be the best place to ask. Feel free kick me out if I shouldn't be here.
Month/Cycle: TTA until next month... getting so close!

WAYDTGKU: we are using condoms and a bit of pull it out method right now. I did start charting last week though. So, hopefully that will help me know what is happening with my body.
R/R/CS: TMI warning! I have a question.

Going out to H's camp this weekend for some snowmobiling. And I just saw that they are predicting the Northern Lights to be strong on Saturday night... So it would be fun for H and I to sneak away for a bit.. Ultimate baby-making conditions

If it was in person I certainly would've taken the opportunity for some "education". ughhhhh
GTKY: It's Friday!! Any exciting, or even not-so-exciting weekend plans? Friday means girls night belly dancing classes with two of my friends. DH and I are then going over to another couples' for a game night. We also plan to finish painting our half bath so we can put in the vanity/sink and get the project wrapped up so it's no longer a disaster zone.

@babymish - enjoy your time together before you have to leave again!

@andipandi27 - FX for good timing!
@juliebeannn - I LOVE to sleep. Sounds delightful.
@houseofsetters - FX that your chart continues to look good this month!
@gonetothesea - Are your sister and her boyfriend old enough that you could encourage them to go do something on their own while you two get "ready"?
@mamamunn - Ouch! Tetanus shots freaking hurt! I was sore for over a week for my last one. Enjoy your new glasses.
@kay6519 - Enjoy
Well done.
