WAYDTGKU: BBT, PNV, HIO EODish, just added EPO and Mucinex
R/R/CS: Ugh, I live in an area with crazy spring allergens, and the past few years have been having terrible sinus issues with it. I'm thinking Sudafed, which usually is very helpful, would be a very bad idea since I'm trying to thin mucus, not dry it up! It sucks to want it in some parts and get rid of it in others. On the other hand, since I have a little history to go off of, I'm optimistic that we can have decent timing in the FW this cycle, and am excited that it's coming up. OH is still in the NTNP mindset (I don't hide that I'm temping and all the other things...I just don't bring it to his attention), so I've just been doing what I've always done when I want some action. I'm hoping he is going to be responsive to HIO ED into the weekend!
GTKY: The only thing I can think of is that I would tell myself to be very careful in getting financially caught up in all my friends and family's big milestones. There were tons of weddings and baby showers starting around then and into 2011 that really added to my credit card debt that I just paid off a year ago. I was in three weddings in the space of 9 months!!

WAYDTGKU: CM, BD EOD, stopped smoking, exercise, diet
R/R/CS: I had the worst migraine yesterday, it was absolutely awful but I feel better today. I'm now in my FW which I'm excited about so hopefully I am outta here soon. Also DH and I found a baby snake out front this morning but I'm super worried about where the momma is, time to get some snake repellent.
GTKY: (stolen from yesterday's TWW) if you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be? To not drive that day because it would result in losing your license for an extremely long time. Everything else I believe that I needed to happen to get me where I am today and yes I know the driving things must have also had to happen for some reason unknown to me but it is one mistake I think I could have lived without
WAYDTGKTFU: PNV+DHA, green tea (really only because I have it in my fridge and I actually do like green tea), temping & charting, HIO (see below), checking CM
R/R/CS: We skipped BD 2 nights ago because I just really needed a break. By the time I got DS to bed last night, DH was asleep and got irritated when I tried to wake him. So, no BD 2 nights in a row. I was pretty disappointed because I was sure yesterday or today was O day, but no signs. Temps are eerily stable even with some major insomnia. So...hopefully we'll HIO today and tomorrow and be back on track. I Od on CD19 last month and, based on early fertile CM, I was pretty sure I was going to O earlier this month, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
GTKY: Quit having sex with you college ex. We dated for a year from freshmen-sophomore year and I was in love with him. We continued a physical relationship for years. Had we not, I would have been saved some pretty bad emotional issues.
R/R/CS: I took a break from the bump for the last week or so. It sucks being in WTO for a month or more. I think I am around CD 16 but I dont even know honestly. I am taking a much more laid back approach this month than in my previous cycles that I was analyzing and stressing over everything.
GTKY: (stolen from yesterday's TWW) if you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be? Go to medical school!!
Me: 34 DH: 36 TTC#2 September 2015 DD #1 born July 2014 Clomid 50 mg x2 months- no ovulation Clomid 100mg x 2 months- confirmed ovulation first month, BFN
R/R/CS: DH has to attend the board meeting tonight to provide his testimony about his boss's shady doings. So he is all worked up. Plus he is on shift tomorrow, which means he has to spend 24+ hours with the man he is being called to testify against. Apparently one of DH's coworkers spilled the beans about the private board meeting tonight to DH's boss. So his boss has been calling him since lunch to try and swing things in his favor. I'll be so glad once the board gives the guy his termination notice, and he is outta there. That will take alot of stress off DH.
GTKY: (stolen from yesterday's TWW) if you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be?
Don't stress and work so much. I worked three jobs throughout college and for the next three years after just to try and stay afloat between massive student loans and the medical bills from our first two losses. I would tell myself to relax and take some time to enjoy college life and have more fun during the early years of our relationship. Sometimes I wonder if I had been less stressed and hadn't been trying to juggle three jobs and 27credit hour college semesters if things would have ended differently with the MCs.
*edited...sorry you guys, I can't figure out the formatting Ok--I responded to as many as I could today but have to leave my computer soon, so I'll get back to the others tomorrow in addition to posting on WTO Friday! @Zoey1019 Oh MAN one more high temp and you get to move
over to TWW! That is so great!! FX for a high temp tomorrow!@pretzel2plus1 Cheers to OPKs getting darker! That is
exciting. I am glad you’re not dizzy anymore, that’s no fun.
@Sparty18 I hope you finally got to Miami. I’m sure it’s
much warmer there than it is where I am!
@DiFazette sorry for CD1. Hoping your LP stays longer
this month too!
@2Dash it sounds like you and I had a very similar
experience during your masters. I was in a new city with not many friends
either and it was rough. I would have told myself all of those same things! I’m
glad things worked out for both of us!
@Buthayna I feel like days have been flying by this
cycle for me too! I am super ok with that. Hope it continues to go fast for you
and you will be in the TWW before you know it! Also, your morning breakfast in
bed sounds amazing. Brownie points to your DH!
@MrsDho11 sorry you were ill yesterday, I hope you are
feeling better!
@mokay19 Hope these 9 days go quickly! I have a friend
who I vent to about TTC as well who just doesn’t get it. That can be hard
sometimes!
@sldp123 sorry for the argument with your hubby, that’s
never fun. I hope you guys are feeling better about it as the day goes on!
@JediAlly85 FX for an actual high reading! PS I love your
username J
@jenmlangtake2 I LOVE CROCK POTS TOO. I mean so much. I am
excited for you and your corned beef and cabbage! I am also glad you are in a
healthy relationship now but am sorry for what you had to go through.
@mtvkv5 wooo flashing smiley on your OPK! FX for
impending O!
@kfair001 there’s my cycle twin!! Thanks so much about
the weight loss. I have been slacking the past couple of weeks and need to get back
on the wagon..my current pants are starting to get a bit tight lol. FX you O in
the next couple of days!
@thefarmerswife0411 congrats on moving over to the TWW! Hopefully
I will be able to join you in several days!! Also I have too much student loan
debt too. It is a royal pain in my ass. And I don’t even work in my major
field! Sigh.
@BerkeBaby,
hope your parent teacher conferences went well; I hope you enjoyed lunch off
campus too!
@ladystinson
I hope you feel better soon! Ear infections are no fun at all.
@juliehollz13 I don’t think you’re stupid feeling that that
dream is important at all! Also,
congrats on quitting smoking. That is a HUGE deal.
@juliebeannn I have been slacking on workouts the past
couple of weeks myself. Time to get back at it, we got this!
@NamelessAria FX for O coming soon!!
@canavara Woot Woot AF is gone! Mwahahaha. I agree with
your GTKY today too!
@mrsdee15 I also love your GTKY. That is great advice
for anyone!
@Lecool Oooh that traditional medicinals pregnancy
tea sounds legit! I drink the raspberry leaf one now until O but may have to
check that other one out…let us know how you like it!
TTC January 2016 BFP May 17, 2016 DS born January 31st, 2017: Rory "Mac" MacKinnon
WAYDTGKU: I got my bbt today! DH is really sick so there will be no BD anytime soon LOL. One step at a time.
R/R/CS: Today was awkward. I was trying to check CM in the shower at the gym when someone opened the shower door since FF said to do it after a workout. These are mostly clear shower doors IDK how someone missed that there was someone in there! Lesson learned I guess.
Awkward #2 - I was at the CVS in the first floor of my office building. I recently applied for a new job at my company. Waiting in line with BBT and HPT and the hiring manager strolls in. I was really embarrassed!!
GTKY: (stolen from yesterday's TWW) if you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be? - OK this is really dorky but nothing. I’ve been incredibly lucky. Not that I didn’t make mistakes (i.e. buy a house at the top of the market) but those mistakes ended up bringing me where I am today which is incredibly happy
@Zoey1019 the credit card struggle was real! They gave out free t-shirts in college if you filled out 6 credit card applications and I got them all and maxed them out. It took YEARS to pay those freaking things off! I would have put this but it was outside the 10 year period.
@kellybean1988 congrats on the weight loss that is IMPRESSIVE!
@Sparty18 giving up caffeine was so hard! IMO it was harder than quitting smoking because for 2 days it was like the hangover from hell! congrats on getting through the tough part.
@mtvkv5 I feel you on the mom thing during college. I was horrible to my mom and keep trying to make up for it now!
@thefarmerswife0411 student loans blow. My law school loans are terrible. I’m like - should have bought a car! lol - j/k! Also, no booze or milk? that makes me sad
@ladystinson - I wish I could tell my former self I wasn’t fat too. Or my current self. URGH.
@juliehollz13 congrats on quitting smoking! Best thing I ever did, seriously. It will change your LIFE.
@Rottiemom86 - the 30s are the BEST. Seriously. Welcome to the best decade ever. I just went through the same thing at 35 which I think is what led to this TTC journey!

I think it’s a very human response. Be kind to yourself. *Hugs*
@leksiL CD is how many days it’s been since your last

usual clear spike, it’s looking like a slow rise. Makes everything much
murkier. I don’t like it.
GTKY: You is smart, you is kind, and you’s important! JK!
But seriously, I would emphasize my self-worth. I would tell myself that
staying in any bad situation (career, relationship, etc.) doesn’t mean you’re
strong or brave. Leaving - that’s what takes courage.

Super speedy speed round before acupuncture! Sorry if I miss anyone, but I have a feeling I might not be back on after the appointment today, so, you know. Better than nothing, right?
@Zoey1019 - FX that you get your high temp tomorrow!
@kellybean1988 - FX that you get some good timing in, and that O comes on the earlier end of that range!
@Buthayna - Good job! Glad you had a nice morning.
@mokay19 - Oh, ouch! Maybe if you’re having a good day one day, just explain that to her even in broad strokes? If she’s being a good listener, I’d be willing to bet she’ll do her best not to hurt you. FX for good weather!
@sldp123 - LOL at the name “fertilizer.” I like it. I may steal it. Ugh, sorry that the testing got cancelled and the argument. I hope both get a better resolution soon. *hugs*
@JediAlly85 - FX that you don’t get a false positive and it’s the real deal!
@BerkeBaby - FX that the conferences go well and the 13 hours pass reasonably quickly.
@ladystinson - Oh no! I hope the infection clears up soon! And I hope that your mother’s procedure goes well and she’s on the mend soon.
@juliehollz13 - I don’t know how to nicely say this, but don’t put too much stock in dreams like that… I think it just makes the disappointment hurt more. Plus, you’d be so happy if you got KU sooner, right? And yay for quitting smoking! GL with it. Did you take your multivitamin with food and a full glass of water? Those are my first two tips.
@juliebeannn - Yay for AF being gone! I hope you’er feeling better soon!
@linzrunz - Boo being sick! Hope you’re all better soon.
@houseofsetters - I definitely confuse the actual date with the CD when they’re relatively close! I also usually have to check FF to verify multiple times before posting.
@sammajane19 - I always say, if you have questions about a drug your doctor is prescribing you, don’t hesitate to call!
@Aurora1973 - Sorry for dealing with the allergies, but yes, Sudafed (and Benadryl) will definitely dry you up.
@adele85 - So sorry about the migraine. And oh goodness no to the snake. Just no. What is snake repellant? We don’t even have snakes but reading that is making me want to get some…
@atcwag - Sorry for the two days in a row with no BD! FX for good timing and O soon.
@HurricaneAmelia - I’m all for skipping any questions you don’t like! A month or more of WTO would drive me insane. *hugs* GL with the laid back approach this cycle!
@Kay6519 - that all just sounds so awkward for your DH. I hope it wraps up soon.

R/R/CS: I having been having the worst time gettin on the bump. I've been so sporadic. Is driving me nuts!
GTKY: (stolen from yesterday's TWW) if you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be?
I would tell little me to "go to a college where you don't know anyone!" I was so afraid of the unknown that I went to a school where I knew a bunch of people, hung out with them all the time, but lost touch with all of them. I wish I had those 'college friendships that last a lifetime' but they were high school friends that fizzled out.
WAYDTGKU: epo, b6, temping, cm, looks like today is the last day of af yay!
R/R/CS: Anyone else get ewcm when their period is finishing? This happened to me last month too.
GTKY: If you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be? Girl friends are more important than boyfriends. (MH and I dated through college but broke up for a short period. That short period was such an important time. I realized how amazing my girl friends were and once MH and I got back together my priority was still them since they'd been there for me. MH and I spent the rest of college dating but spending most of our time with our separate friends group, sometimes bringing the two together. SUCH a great life lesson and I wish I'd learned it sooner.)

R/R/CS: UGH! My cycle is getting more and more irregular as the months pass. Last month I got AF on cycle day 22, thought it was implantation bleeding, and then had to deal with the disappointment/confusion about why AF arrived when it did. Trying to temp on a regular basis and using a digital OPK to get a more accurate reading on WHEN I'm ovulating, because I have no idea at this point and every month is different. DH is frustrated with me because I'm "planning so much" but how else are we going to get pregnant?! Expecting to ovulate in the next few days, I think, and just hoping that this is our month. Some times I think I'm going crazy, other times I feel like I've got this down.

@linzrunz thank you so much and yes they are awful I've suffered from them since I was 5 but now that I'm older I only get them a couple times a year, this one almost landed me in the ER though. @MrsDho11 thank you and I know it totally freaked us out because even though it was just a tiny baby we have never seen a snake in our yard before. I am not quite sure yet what the snake repellent is but my neighbor told me about it a couple of summers ago when she found a snake by her trash can and she explained it to me that it is a repellent that you shake around your yard and it keeps the snakes away lol idk how else to explain.
@cocog26 Maybe try sitting down with your SO and going over how involved he wants to be in the whole TTC experience. Some men find it daunting and hearing / thinking about all the temping and charting and other work is just too overwhelming. My husband prefers not to know the details. It gives him performance anxiety. After we talked about it, I stopped worrying him with the details so much and just followed the method he preferred for me to let him know when it was go time. After a while, he started asking questions or googling to learn a bit more about things. Just recently, he started taking an interest in my FF app.
R/R/CS: Work is super stressful this week, I'm sure that can't help anything TTC related. Got to figure out a way to HIO in close proximity to family this weekend. Ugh. I feel like we are in high school trying to sneak around.
GTKY: (stolen from yesterday's TWW) if you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be? Break up with that asshole and go enjoy life with your friends. He won't be there in a few years, and you are missing out on a lot of fun.

WAYDTGKU: BD ED, PNV, tracking CM and other symptoms
R/R/CS: I'm having "middle pains" and have had them consistently in the past (not every single month but definitely often enough to know what they feel like) so I may be ovulating but I'm not using anything else to confirm so not sure. I actually didn't even know what middle pains were until about 5 years ago when I told my boss at the vegan restaurant where I worked that my "stomach" hurt and when she looked at where my hand was placed she very kindly said "honey, that's not where your stomach is, that's your ovary."
Anywho, a general perhaps "board etiquette" question: if you aren't using anything like OPKs or temping to determine O and thus head over to TWW, where do you go? I want to continue to participate as I have really appreciated the support of the community but I haven't been able to quite figure out where you hang out when you aren't sure if you're actually in the TWW. Not that I think anyone is policing it but I'm an overthinker and thus just want to check.
GTKY: (stolen from yesterday's TWW) if you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be?
This is a great question. I would tell myself that I am loved and I am worthy: of success, of being loved, of feeling joy, of having an awesome life. My 18 year old self was still reeling from some childhood trauma and it's still kind messing things up sometimes. So this and start therapy ASAP!
@meilay No one is policing, but it may be hard to answer some of the questions there such as days past ovulation and BD timing related to O, since you will be estimating. But really it's fine to move over whenever you are comfortable, and when you think you are in the TWW. We are all just here for support, and not being the judge of who belongs where. I was against temping at first, but after starting that process, I've found that I O about a week after I had been estimating based on CM. So I was completely missing BD around O! If not KU in a few months (which I truly hope you are), you might want to consider temping!

@meilay - If you are checking CM, you could use that as an indicator, plus timing based on normal cycle length and O pain. If you have days of fertile CM, followed by unfertile CM at an appropriate time in your cycle, I'd call it ok to move to TWW. It certainly isn't as precise as temping, but it will keep you from posting here forever. It will be hard to answer some of the standard questions over at TWW, but you can always go with the flow with that and just answer with your best estimate.
@Mlight28 thanks for the insight. I've been wavering on both temping and OPKs for awhile, even before officially TTC. I'm surrounded by people who have only ever had a "wow look at that, I'm KU!" experience and so don't understand actually TTC. I haven't told many people but the people I've told haven't been entirely supportive of anything other than frequent BD and so a lot of my hesitation is just trying to drown out the noise and really identify what will be best for me.
@atcwag that definitely helps also. I have been good about checking CM so we'll see what the next few days hold.

CD: 16
WAYDTGKU: I hate this question
R/R/CS: I took a break from the bump for the last week or so. It sucks being in WTO for a month or more. I think I am around CD 16 but I dont even know honestly. I am taking a much more laid back approach this month than in my previous cycles that I was analyzing and stressing over everything.
GTKY: (stolen from yesterday's TWW) if you could go back ten years and tell yourself anything, what would it be? Go to medical school!!

Ok--I responded to as many as I could today but have to leave my computer soon, so I'll get back to the others tomorrow in addition to posting on WTO Friday!
@Zoey1019 Oh MAN one more high temp and you get to move over to TWW! That is so great!! FX for a high temp tomorrow!@pretzel2plus1 Cheers to OPKs getting darker! That is exciting. I am glad you’re not dizzy anymore, that’s no fun. @Sparty18 I hope you finally got to Miami. I’m sure it’s much warmer there than it is where I am! @DiFazette sorry for CD1. Hoping your LP stays longer this month too! @2Dash it sounds like you and I had a very similar experience during your masters. I was in a new city with not many friends either and it was rough. I would have told myself all of those same things! I’m glad things worked out for both of us! @Buthayna I feel like days have been flying by this cycle for me too! I am super ok with that. Hope it continues to go fast for you and you will be in the TWW before you know it! Also, your morning breakfast in bed sounds amazing. Brownie points to your DH! @MrsDho11 sorry you were ill yesterday, I hope you are feeling better! @mokay19 Hope these 9 days go quickly! I have a friend who I vent to about TTC as well who just doesn’t get it. That can be hard sometimes! @sldp123 sorry for the argument with your hubby, that’s never fun. I hope you guys are feeling better about it as the day goes on! @JediAlly85 FX for an actual high reading! PS I love your username J @jenmlangtake2 I LOVE CROCK POTS TOO. I mean so much. CD: ??
@sldp123 that WAS confusing. Fighting sucks

@Kay6519 It breaks my heart to read your last sentence. But I think it’s a very human response. Be kind to yourself. *Hugs*
@leksiL CD is how many days it’s been since your last period: Cycle Day. (I assumed that’s what the question marks meant?) Also, MORTIFYING!!!! My face would be bright red for the remainder of the day.

R/R/CS: I’m thinking that I’ve ovulated. But instead of my usual clear spike, it’s looking like a slow rise. Makes everything much murkier. I don’t like it.
GTKY: You is smart, you is kind, and you’s important! JK! But seriously, I would emphasize my self-worth. I would tell myself that staying in any bad situation (career, relationship, etc.) doesn’t mean you’re strong or brave.

@pretzel2plus1 - Yay for darker OPKs!
@Sparty18 - flight delays are sucky. FX the flight went well once you got going.
@DiFazette - so sorry for CD1! I almost didn’t put the question because i didn’t want to upset CD1 people. Sorry about that! *hugs*
@2Dash - FX that you O soon.
@jenmlangtake2 -
Crock pots are the best.
@mtvkv5 - FX for O coming soon! Yay for your DH making the trip with you!
@kfair001 - FX for O soon!
@thefarmerswife0411 - FX for a good TWW!
@NamelessAria - FX for O soon.
@canavara - Woohoo for AF being gone and normal looking temps. FX that those temps just keep behaving!
@mrsdee15 - FX the appointment goes well and things don’t start hurting worse before then.
@Lecool - I’m glad you’re feeling a little better, but FX that it’s all gone soon.
@20T - Yep. Performance issues are definitely frustrating. *hugs*
@Rottiemom86 - I’m sorry that you’re feeling down, and also for your friend’s cancer and surgery. FX for your friend.
@gonetothesea - So so sorry for CD1!
@Aurora1973 -
Sorry for dealing with the allergies, but yes, Sudafed (and Benadryl) will definitely dry you up.
@leksiL - Yay for BBT! I hope your DH feels better soon!

WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK, no caffeine or alcohol, extra vitamin D and CoQ-10 and prenatal
Staying positive and sending positive vibes!

I was against temping at first, but after starting that process, I've found that I O about a week after I had been estimating based on CM. So I was completely missing BD around O! If not KU in a few months (which I truly hope you are), you might want to consider temping!

@Rottiemom86 Thinking of you and your friend and hoping for a speedy recovery from surgery.
@gonetothesea Sorry for CD1 ! Hope AF leaves quickly.
@linzrunz I had a good time trying to figure out your giant acronym, but then I gave up, lol . I am sorry you have been sick-hope you feel better soon!
@houseofsetters hope AF leaves soon! I have def confused actual date with CD before. BTW, I am a rule-follower too J
@sammajane19 I hope O comes soon and that you get some answers!
@Aurora1973 FX for BD ED this weekend!! And jeesh, 3 weddings in 9 months is a LOT.
@adele85…we are almost cycle twins! I’m glad you felt better from your migraine yesterday. FX that snake goes away!
@atcwag I O’d on CD 19 last month too, or maybe it was 18. Either way, I’m hoping yours comes soon too!
@HurricaneAmelia It sounds like laid back is the way to go this month!!
@Kay6519 FX that your DH’s board meeting went well! That stuff is always so stressful.
@leksiL Welcome to The Bump!! I am fairly new myself and am really loving it. This is a fabulous community of wonderful and supportive people! And yay to your BBT! OMG to your awkward shower situation. Lol!! And thanks for your kind words!
@SweetiePateetie I have read that it’s definitely possible to get a slow rise after O instead of a clear spike. But you’re right, it does make it much murkier! FX it was actually O!
@itsmehere1212 no worries about sporadic bumping, I am guilty of that myself too when I’m mobile bumping on the weekends! Glad to see you!
@writeress hoping AF went far far away yesterday. Hope you’re feeling better!
@PennStateCait Yay for the last day of AF, celebrations all around!
@cocog26 I’m sorry for the irregularity of your cycles. FX this month is better!
