The word "twatwaffle" is gross and an insult to waffles.
    Pancakes > waffles, 4eva.
    Ooh, fighting words ;)
french toast > waffles > pancakes
French toast is the soggy sandwich bread
    of the breakfast industry. Seriously.

    Pancakes > waffles > biscuits > muffins > normal toast > granola > [...] > French toast.
I don't know how you could possibly hate French Toast! You couldn't have ever had good French toast... For real. I make the best damn French Toast on the planet. I might make some eggnog this weekend just to have it >.>
There was this restaurant in Hawaii that made French toast on Hawaiian sweet bread. It was so amazing.

  • I mean, if it was the only option, I'd eat it.. but I'd choose basically anything else ahead of it. Except for oatmeal/grits, it's a texture issue.

    God, I love breakfast food!
  • @cmjenkies I HATE OATMEAL. Grits I can handle with a metric crap ton of butter and salt, but oatmeal? Total vom...

I think waffles are far superior to any other breakfast starch. You can put fried chicken on it and it tastes amazing. There's also the Liège waffle with the pearl sugar that melts into a caramelized crust on the hot griddle. YUM. I would really like one right now.

And now I have to convince DH to go out to brunch Sunday so we can get chicken and waffles with bourbon pecan syrup. Can today be Sunday?

  • @redselig I forgot about chicken and waffles. But I also want to add that waffles are usually dressed up better than other breakfast starches and they are literally cups of syrup. Slather some peanut butter on them and they don't get all soggy and gross like pancakes with syrup.
  • mmmm I may have to make french toast for dinner tonight. I made it for breakfast on Saturday for the first time in years. It was most delightful.

Agreed though that Pancakes trump waffles err'day.

  • I never eat regular pancakes. I always add chocolate chips.

TWT goes to the weather.  It's been in the 80s for weeks in SoCal and the first of a four-storm series is set to roll in Sunday, the day of my baby shower. Now we have to re-think everything for indoors at my sister's house. I know we are in a drought and I know our weather has been ridiculous for this time of year, but seriously??? That DAY??  F that.

(And I love the rain too, so this is just.....100% all twatwaffle.)
I can totally relate! I live in Northern Cal and it's been beautiful for WEEKS.. And it's going to rain this weekend. My shower is this Sunday too and I'm bummed about the rain. Yeah, yeah we need the rain, but do we need it THIS SUNDAY? Booo!
Oh man, I wish you didn't have to relate to my weather woes, but I hope you have a beautiful shower!!!
  • In my defense, I've had French toast probably twice in my life. The second experience was a soggy mess and turned me off for life.. blame that jerk! I'd be willing to try again under the right circumstances haha

I put peanut butter in place of butter on both pancakes and waffles. So good!

French toast definitely shouldn't be soggy. Someone must have made it wrong!
  • French toast was one of the freezer meals I made!

DH. He expects me to be happy that he got a job interview for a job in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, 6 hours away from a significantly sized town and 3 das away from any frI ends or family. I'm not supposed to express any negative emotions at all because that's not "supporting" him. He thinks we are moving there....

Can I have the job? Watching the polls come in for the democratic and republican nominees here in the states is making my fight or flight instincts kick in!

My TWT goes to Donald Trump.
Haha! Come and join us in the True North, Strong and Free! ;) (although we have our fair share of problems). Also, amen to Donald Trump being your TWT.

So um, my TWT goes out to you guys who are complaining about SoCal rain while I slog through a foot and a half of fresh snow after a blizzard last night after freezing rain the day before... and did I mention it's -20°? ;)

Half the time it's not even as bad as they say it will be or on time! The slightest drizzle and drivers freak and forget how to drive!

Complaining about the anything less than 70 degrees and sunshine, or over 90 degrees is an official, California passtime! ;-)

Sorry about your weather though...I can't even comprehend any forecast that has a negative symbol in the temp.

Haha, I guess it's what I get for living in Canada! I don't actually hate it that much... yesterday was a gorgeous sunny day with the sun glinting off the snow! I do find it really funny when people complain about 80 degrees though... that's like early summer weather here!
