  • @AdorkablePixie fortunately they have you pay for the classes the night you take them, so I don't have to seek a refund...just a new place to take them.  I'm going to my Dr today so hopefully I have more answers.  There is also a movement to flood the department of health with letters protesting the timeline of the closure, because apparently (and rightfully) it IS violating a standard of care.  I guess we'll see how the next few days unravel.

@nerdymama15 that sucks, I'm sorry. On all fronts...having to deal with your DH's legit medical issue should be enough stress, and adding all the unnecessary IL drama is over the top.
  • @Aquinna82 I hope it all gets worked out. It is terrible that they are closing on such short notice! I feel terrible for all the moms-to-be and all the employees who now have to try to find jobs elsewhere. Not cool.

  • We have to make formula for DD 10m/o still. We use a pot and our immersion blender. No shaking for 10 minutes trying to get it mixed and all we have to do is pour and spray off the end of the blender and the pot. Takes 5 minutes to make formula for the day and clean up. I firmly planned on breastfeeding and when DD was 6 weeks old we found out that she had a rare form of hypercalcemia which meant I couldn't nurse her anymore. Hopefully this LO will be different.

Oh that's good to know! I have one of those, so if I end up needed to formula feed, I'll be sure to remember that as an option!
