Not really. This must have been a pretty common name in the 80s at least in my area because there were always multiple Caitlins at my school. So it wasn't like Caitlin Jenner "introduced" me to the name.
No, I don't. When I first read this I thought "there's a Caitlin Kardashian?!" and then it hit me. So obviously it's not my first thought. Like pp mentioned, I know a lot of other Caitlin's so I don't associate it with anyone in particular.
I don't immediately think of Caitlyn Jenner, but I do think that it is extremely popular. There are a ton of Katelyns, Caitlyn's, Catlins, Kaylees, etc.
I also thought, "there's a Caitlin Kardashian?" so no, I don't think of her. It's a pretty popular name so I don't associate it with anyone in particular.
I don't associate it with the kardashians, but I do associate it with Girls born in the 1980s, like Jessica, Jennifer, Brittany, I think it's a little old for a baby born these days, eventually it'll be like Pamela or Nancy from the 1950s.
I didn't think Kardashian. I actually had to mind check myself, 'there's a Caitlin Kardashian?' like others did. I just thought of the girl I know named Caitlin. I'd thumbs up the name
I know about and followed the Caitlin Kardashian story and still didn't think of it when you posted - thought you were just asking about the name generally.
As a Caitlyn myself, I haven't encountered any one who's made a kardashian connection or joke at my expense. I'm almost 32, the name existed long before they used it. Still surprised she used the spelling I use. Seems less popular than other caitlins, kaitlyns, etc..
Nope, and when I first read it I thought "who is Caitlin Kardashian??" and it took me a second to realize you meant Caitlyn Jenner. I would not have made the association if you hadn't mentioned it. It's a somewhat popular name, so I wouldn't immediate associate it with one person or celebrity. If it was something unique like Apple, then yeah, I immediately think of Gwenyth Paltrow, but not something common and classic like Caitlin.
I like it but I am a little biased because my name is Kaitlyn. Although, when I think about it people don't actually call me Kaitlyn. It's either Kaity, Kait or KK.
Re: Be honest! The name Caitlin?
I love the name Caitlin, especially spelled this way.
