Tuesday Check-In

Re: Tuesday Check-In

  • @arteduc8 I hate constipation so much.  It really affects my mood.  Then when it lets up, I seem to get brutal heartburn as a result... a constant cycle.  Have fun with your dog today!

    Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: My best friend was diagnosed last week with MS and her husband has basically disappeared (like, staying with friends and not coming home or answering his phone) because this is really stressful and inconvenient for him.  Things haven't been that great for them lately but this is a whole new level.  I'm trying to help out but between my job, kid I already have and pregnancy issues I feel like I can't help the way I want to nor can I kick him repeatedly, really hard the way I also want to.
Rave: I know that the first day of March is not REALLY that different from the last day of February, but it FEELS like spring is coming.

What are you doing to prepare for baby?
The last couple days I've turned in to crazy list making lady, we had a conversation over the weekend and the name status went from "probably" to "pretty much 100%" and I think it flipped some switch in my head.

    Questions?
Is everyone else feeling extra rage-y or is it just my hormone shots?

GTKY: What's something that you would love to try, but have been too afraid to take the plunge?
We'd both really love to go work internationally and could likely get jobs but both sets of grandparents can see our kid (soon to be kids) here and they are the only grandkids on both sides of the family and are very likely to stay that way.  My MIL isn't in very good health and my mom is my son's favorite person ever so I feel really scared/guilty about taking that away from them and losing really great support for our family to go have an adventure.  Until I got married, I moved a lot and I know staying put is best for now, but it's easy to get caught up in daydreams too.  For now, we've tabled the conversation until both boys are school aged.

I'm fascinated by all the hair comments.  I'm pretty sure I've done everything on earth to my hair and while I can be a pretty fearful person, that's the one thing that never really scared me. Colors, mostly shaved, braids, etc... I think the only thing I've never been is blonde and I'm pondering doing that after I have the baby.
  • Thanks @catherinekate... For now it's just overwhelming.
  • @dennyandlee oooh, I didn’t realize if you had a grandfathered plan, it wasn’t required. That makes a lot more sense. But still… boooo

  • @kwife15 Good luck preparing for comps!  I did them as a full-time student, so I can only imagine the struggle to study while working and pregnant!  However, I felt my smartest right after comps were over – I knew so much and only seem to forget as time goes on :)
